I've said it before and I'll say it again. You cannot claim to support sex workers if you're actively making it more unsafe for sex workers.

I know this is meant as a joke, but the reality of it is its not, "oh they don't know how much this should cost." Temu knows exactly how much it should cost from a business standpoint and they're charging how much it should cost.
They reduce the costs of making the items. They do this largely by using slave labor. They've also been stealing designs and not paying the creators, another way to reduce costs. (Plus lower quality items, outsourcing to countries with cheaper business costs, etc.)
And I'm sorry to tell you, but pretty much ALL these super cheap shopping apps are. No business is losing profit just to give you cute clothes. They're making up the extra profit somewhere else.

While I do believe anyone should do whatever is comfortable for their body, this take is lacking so much awareness. Nobody may be forcing someone physically, but there is so much stigma around certain people not shaving.
If a person worries they'll be made fun of, harassed, or worse because of their choice then it does feel like they're being forced.
We've come a long way with gender roles, but they still exist and people are still hurt by them. It's not as easy as just, "oh do whatever you want!" for a lot of people.

I don't want anyone to ever forget Farkhunda Malikzada. I don't want anyone to forget that she was stripped of her hijab, beaten, stoned, run over, burned, and hung for supposedly burning a Quran.
I don't want anyone to forget the fact it was filmed by people brutalizing her.
I don't want anyone to forget the fact that people supposedly trying to "raise awareness" for what happened to her are not only showing the videos and pictures, but making their thumbnails her with her hijab ripped off.
And it was found she was not even guilty for this, not that it would excuse it in any way if she was.

Ok new game. What's the thing you're a fan of that you're the most pretentious about. NOT the most pretentious thing you're a fan of, I mean the thing that makes *you* act like one of those "oh yeah? Name five of their albums" people. There is a difference

“This fiction could be used to groom minors!”
I hate to break this to you but literally any type of fiction can be used to groom minors. Even “unproblematic” fiction.

Keep in mind there's a major difference between trauma dumping and being open with your friends. Trauma dumping specifically refers to a negative social situation.
Venting to your friends in a way that's appropriate and consented to is not trauma dumping. Trauma dumping specifically occurs based on how the recipient feels in response to what you've shared.
If a person doesn't consent to hearing a detailed analysis of your feelings and mental illnesses, they're going to leave that conversation feeling uncomfortable. Friend or not, you should always keep the comfort of your conversation partner in mind when it comes to situations like this.
You're also likely to drive people away by trauma dumping because nobody wants to have a lot of stuff they don't feel equipped to handle pushed onto them.
When people say, "stop trauma dumping to your friends and tell your therapist" they don't just mean "stop venting to your friends in a safe space."
Many people do use their friends as a therapist and it's always important to keep in mind that your friend is not your mental health provider.
They're a person with their own wants and needs. Conversations shouldn't be one-sided, for example you shouldn't constantly vent those things to them and never allow them the chance to speak or do the same. Conversations shouldn't be centered around that constantly, for example you shouldn't be only going to that person when you need to vent. Conversations should easily be movable, for example you need to be aware of when people are trying to divert the conversation away and let that happen. Conversations should be open and consented to, for example your friend should always be able to tell you they're uncomfortable and you immediately accept that.
The Cleveland Clinic has a fantastic article about trauma dumping.
As does Banner Health.
‘stop traumadumping to your friends and tell your therapist’ what the fuck do you people talk about with your friends if not a detailed analysis of ur feelings and mental illnesses

My favorite misogyny test is asking someone what they feel about a woman celebrity who is extremely hated for (most of the time) no reason except thinly veiled misogyny. They can't resist most the time.

Okay, here's the thing.
I have NOTPs too, but you will never hear me talk hideously about the shippers of my NOTPs or anything like that, because I know well it's a huge act of disrespect that's straight up fueled by lies and pettiness. I will not tolerate that here. You can dislike a character or a ship as much as you want, but if you start talking all kinds of untrue and downright gross things about those who like the said characters/ships, you are getting on my blacklist. End of debate. It's about time you learn to act mature and with respect, because fandom is not a place that caters exclusively to you.

i mean we have got to desexualise nudity i don’t care if it makes you personally uncomfortable when naked people exist and you assume they might be doing it for sexual gratification. work through that. there is nothing inherently sexual about a human body. none of it.
