if you want to use "Trans male" to mean changing your sex and not your gender to male, or "Trans female" to mean changing your sex and not your gender to female, go for it.
you can also use it for your gender if you want. but these terms do have use in referring to people who are changing their sex. it's not weird to call one's self trans male or trans female instead of a trans man or trans woman.
some people feel trans male or trans female instead. some even prefer these over transmasc and transfem. our community is broad and varied. embrace it.

Here's your reminder that AFAB doesn't mean that person has breasts and a vagina. That AMAB doesn't mean that person has a flat chest and a dick.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE DICKS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE FLAT CHESTS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE BEARDS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE DEEP VOICES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE TITS
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE PUSSIES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE CURVES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE HIGH-PITCHED VOICES
Don't let AMAB and AFAB become the progressive binary

i don’t know if this blowing up anywhere besides science twitter but a paper got peer reviewed and published in a frontiers journal (which are known as like mid tier but still reputable) that has this massive AI generated rat penis figure and some other nonsensical AI figures and yeah it probably speaks to how the peer review system is broken and the process of sharing and vetting science is doomed etc but also it’s SOOOO funny to me to see people so dramatic like “if someone had a shred of courage and integrity” about big penis rat

a long time ago i watched a tik tok from an older trans woman, in her 60’s or 70’s. someone had commented on another video of hers asking “why don’t we ever see trans men from your generation? why aren’t they involved in activism?” and her response was “because a lot of them died.” she told stories abt the trans men she knew who committed suicide rather than be married off and forced to live as a woman, or died from medical neglect or botched abortions. “they would be here if they could, but they can’t because the world failed them.”

I think the reason a lot of leftists struggle with disability justice is that they haven't moved past the concept that discrimination isn't bad because it's objectively "wrong." yes, sexists are objectively wrong when they try to claim women are dumber than men. yes, antisemites are objectively wrong that jewish people are inherently greedy and run the state. yes, racists are wrong when they try to claim that white people are the superior race. and so on.
but then with disabled people, there are a lot of objective truths to the discrimination we face. people with IDs/LDs do fall behind and struggle with certain concepts. physically disabled people are often weaker and less capable of performing demanding tasks than able bodied people. many of us with mental illnesses are more reckless and less responsible. a lot of us are dependent on others and do not contribute much "worth".
and guess what? disabled people still deserve a place in the world. disabled people still deserve the supports they need. because they are people, and that should be enough to support them and believe they deserve a place at the table.
if your only rebuttal against discrimination is its objective inaccuracies, you are meeting bigots where they are at. you are validating the very concept that if and when people are truly incapable of being equal to the majority, that means they are worth less. this causes some leftists to then try to deny the objective realities of disabled people and/or become ableist themselves.
your rallying behind marginalized groups should start and end with the fact that people are completely worthy of life and equity, because they are fellow human beings and that should, frankly, be enough.

to my fellow organizers,
the communities we serve are not predatory job interviewers. they don't need nor want your impressively worded, complicated, and varied resumé. I fall into this trap a lot. when I facilitate affinity spaces and support groups, organize meetings, workshops, and retreats I hear the voice of my trauma saying "you HAVE to do more". but you know what? sometimes we don't need to do more. sometimes just existing in community with each other is enough for people.
I facilitate and organize trans and queer spaces but this applies to all of us doing systems change work - bigger, better, faster, stronger is not always the answer. listen to what your community tells you. really hear them. be with them. burnout and martyrdom are not glamorous, holding yourself to superhero standards does not make you worthy.
you are already worthy. worthy just by virtue of being here, fighting alongside all of us. I know how hard it is to feel the weight of the world on your shoulders but you are not alone, not all of it is on you.
let yourself grow; let yourself breathe.
living in this world is hard and thankless, especially as a marginalized person. especially as one fighting for the end of our marginalization.
to my fellow organizers, you are enough and I am so proud of you for being here.

"I would kill for you. I would die for you" would you take a break for me? Would you sit down and rest? For a day, a week, a year? Would you let others take care of your needs for me? Would you let yourself be held for me? By me?

medical literature about intersex people be like "there are problems that can be caused by forcing surgery on babies. luckily we are solving this by forcing surgery on even younger babies. it is vital that this baby CANNOT be left alone to develop normally. here is our 36 step guide on which surgeries you should force on which babies. also some people have said that forcing surgeries on babies might be "harmful" so consider that too I guess"
