Ko-omote Noh stage mask from the second part of the 18th century. Ko-omote (literally, "little mask") conveys the beauty of a girl not yet twenty. The mark on the back of the mask is unusual and most likely was not applied by the artist but rather an owner probably added it after acquiring it. Some repairs but rather good condition for a genuine Noh mask of this period. 。

Celadon Sanda Yaki (三田焼) Sleeping Cat incense burner (三田焼 Sanda-yaki). Sanda Yaki a type of Japanese celadon ceramic produced near Mita City, Hyogo Prefecture. The pottery kiln opened around the middle of the Edo period and was completed during the Kansei era. This cute sleeping cat is from the Meiji era, 19th c. It has been carefully repaired in Kintsugi, a Japanese practice that highlights and enhances the breaks thus adding value to a broken object. Kintsugi repairs use lacquer and gold, leaving a gold seam where the cracks were. In this case, gold has been mixed with silver to give a wabi-sabi patina to the repair. 。
