Alastor's Time Alive + Deal Theory
You know why itās important to know who Alastorās victims were?
Because itāll explain A LOT.
If Alastor was just another run of the mill serial killer, he probably killed for the thrill coupled with ego, trauma, and untreated psychological issues. His victims either had no connection, or they had a hyper specific trait but they were innocent people. Think Joker.
HOWEVER, let's say Alastor killed not so great people. Rapists, abusers, violent people, etc. Iām imagining a vigilante taking the law into their own hands. Alastor gets a thrill of living the double life while also feeling power over taking out shitty people. This would make sense given what we already see from him in the show. To our knowledge he doesnāt go after lesser sinners unless they cross him, he takes out big overlords, and anyoneās soul he has tied to him doesn't seem physically tethered to him. The souls he has (Husk, Nifty?) appear to live their lives until Alastor calls on them. This is much more humane (for hell) compared to certain overlords weāve seen (*cough*Valentino*cough*).
So what? Alive Alastor (possibly) kills shitty people, gets a thrill from getting away with it and the power trip, he dies because he was sloppy with one of the bodies, and seems to be continuing his hunt for power and dominance in hell. Why does this change anything?
Because that would make him complex. Instead of just being this serial killer, heās a serial killer with a vigilante complex and some sort of moral code.Ā
And him being complex could point to who his deal is with and what his deal could be related to.
When Alastor is freaking out, he mentions āOnce I figure out how to unclip my wings.ā I donāt think this is alluding to Alastor being an angel (saint? Since heās human idk if it's an angel), but it might allude to Alastor having a deal with an angel. But who? Havenāt we met all possible angels? Not necessarily.
Whereās Eve?
Youāre telling me that the woman who ate the apple, a pretty significant part in bringing evil to earth, Adamās second wife, is NOWHERE TO BE SEEN??? Yeah, no.Ā
Adam and Eve are probably estranged, given Adam seems very interested in every other woman except Eve. Iām wondering if Eve would take the role of a 50s trad wife? I think the guilt and shame Lucifer has for being a fallen angel and his hand in bringing evil to the world could be mirrored in Eve, where she tries her best to be the perfect wife, perfect woman, to repent for her mistakes. Sheās allowed in Heaven because she begs for forgiveness.Ā
When the first extermination happens, she probably went down to Hell with Adam, to see what her actions resulted in. She gets to Hell and is shocked with what she sees. She sees sinners, but she also sees how complicated sinners are. They have families, thereās children down here, some sinners are trying to protect their loved ones from the extermination, fearful for their lives. She canāt unsee the human in the sinners.
And then she runs into Alastor, who just so happened to take a stroll to see where all these angels are coming from and wtf is going on??? Eve sees Alastor and she just has this gut feeling about him. A killer sure, but he was as complex as any of the other sinners down here.
So she goes up to him.
She talks with him and thinks that his actions were brutal, but he wasnāt killing anyone whoād be missed. He had a very specific moral code, with twisted execution, and probably grew up in a traumatizing environment. She sees how powerful he is and, while standing in the middle of blood and carnage, she makes a deal with him. Sheāll give him some of her angelic powers under the condition that he will be her Hell diplomat, making sure Hell isnāt screwed over completely by Heaven. I feel like Eve would have a soft spot for Hell and its sinners and would feel bad that she got to go to Heaven, even with her sin, while the rest rot in Hell. Alastor 100% agrees because hell yeah more power. Eveās first order is for Alastor to go down to Earth and make sure there are still sinners coming into Hell, even with the extermination happening.Ā
So thatās what he does. Heās on Earth making sure souls come to hell for 7 years. Which would make sense of why Alastor knows modern slang in Stayed Gone. Granted he could have heard it in Hell, but he hasn't been in hell for the past 7 years, so how tf would his great depression ass know what a podcast is? I think Heaven would hear the news about Charlieās hotel (They know about Angel Dust, theyāre somewhat aware of the goings on in Hell) but because they thought it was a fruitless plan they didnāt really care, except for Eve. Eve eventually hears about Charlieās idea and immediately wants to help her, sending Alastor back to hell to keep an eye on her and her hotel. Cue season 1.
This would make sense of why Alastor thought he could take on Adam without angelic weapons. He was already given some angelic powers, surely heād be strong enough to hold his own! Until he gets his ass handed to him. Cue freak out.Ā
I think the correlation between Lilith and Alastor both disappearing 7 years ago is just a coincidence, I think Lilithās deal with Adam is separate from Alastorās deal with Eve. I have other thoughts on Lilith and Adamās deal but thatās for another post lol.
And I'm also operating under the impression that the exterminations have been going on for 7 years and not longer, but again that's another post.
Iād love to hear other theories! Iām still on the fence on Eve's motivations, and also her relationship to Lucifer? Like were they actually- uhā¦ bow chika wow wow-ing??? What would that mean for Lucifer and Lilithās relationship? Is Eve a jealous ex trying to get into the royal hell family??? That would mess up the story weāre told in the beginning, though I doubt the book was written with truth at the forefront (possibly propaganda). Honestly Iām buzzing with theoriesš¤Æ

Hey quick question- why the FUCK was Alastor fighting Adam without an angelic weapon???????? Did we not spend a WHOLE ASS EPISODE establishing that angels could only die by their own weapons???? I know Charlie would have told him to not kill Adam and to just distract him, but come. on. Alastor was cocky enough to go after Adam weaponless, and look what happened. With the time it took Adam to rock Alastor's shit, it took Lucifer the same amount of time to almost kill Adam if not for Charlie's intervention. And then the man has a FREAK OUT??? From losing a fight HE KNOWS HE COULD HAVE AT LEAST SURVIVED IF HE'D HAVE BROUGHT SOME TYPE OF ANGELIC WEAPON!?!? Yeah no SHIT you lost bro, you were unprepared!!!
He came to the fight looking for glory and an ego boost. The great radio demon kills Adam with his own powers. Carmilla would probably say Alastor fought for the wrong reasons. I think everyone's seen that post, but I love the concept of Alastor losing because he wasn't doing it for love. Alastor is peak attention whore and instead of coming out of the fight with a victory, he's sent slinking into the shadows with bruised ego, an angelic injury, and the realization that if it looked like he died for his friends, was he actually growing soft? Why did he risk his life?
If Adam is sloppy, then, good sir, I'm afraid so are you.

Stayed Gone and Hell's Greatest Dad Color Theory
You know what I love about the difference between Stayed Gone and Hellās Greatest Dad? Itās very clear that the rivalry is one-sided and Alastor has the upper hand throughout the song in Stayed Gone (SG), but in Hell's Greatest Dad (HGD) Alastor and Lucifer are basically going head to head with one another and both of them are keeping up with the otherās powers and showmanship; no one is backing down.
I noticed that in SG Vox is seen with a red bg 90% of the time which could just be good color contrast, but when vox is in his element heās usually around blue tones
Until Alastor starts getting to his head
And when Alastor and Vox are doing their back and forth itās clear Alastor is the one in control, even when Voxās colors become Alastorās bg
Alastor does not see Vox as a threat or equal in regards to power and status. Notice how Vox has all those tvs, but with just one radio Alastor is able to take Vox down. And Alastor probably just doesnāt like him lol.
But then you have HGD where, right off the bat, their colors are fighting within the realm Lucifer creates. They're both fighting in the big top tent meaning Alastor is not in his element, but even then he wants to take away whatever control Lucifer could have in the situation
Theyāre both trying to hog the stage and outdo the other for their own reasons. Alastor, who wants to assert dominance and Lucifer who was triggered by Alastorās taunting, lashes out at Alastor out of insecurity
and unlike the break down with Vox and Alastor, theyāre both on relatively even footing, keeping up with one another and getting on each others nerves
But their colors eventually mesh together in the end, possibly showing how thereās a mutual hate between the two
ā¦ Anyways I thought that was cool color choice or whatever š¤Ŗ
(also Iām going to tag radioapple & radiostatic STRICTLY for character dynamic nothing shippy please put your gun down thanks š„°)
