Her works can be found in Galleries and Streets all over the world. She began developing her distinct Street Art style mural work in 2001, painting alongside the graffiti community of San Francisco. Amandalynn is very passionate about her outdoor mural work and still enjoys collaborating with a variety of different artists, as well as creating large solo works. KOOL KICKS ON THE STREET!!!! My latest fashion apparel commission by my favorite Frenchie, Nick Edwards!!!! Every few months or so Nick commissions me to paint one more piece of apparel for him. Each new piece further completes his ongoing full body outfit. It was a facemask at first, then a pair of pants, a tee shirt, then hoodie and now a pair of sneakers!!!! I included a recent letter his mother wrote me thanking me for a portrait I drew of him (in which he gave her for Christmas) and being his creative friend in San Francisco. I love the French!!!! 'TOVA LOBATZ' Micron 08 Pen on Bristol Paper 19x24in. 2022 It's pretty hard to believe that I've known @tovabatzz for 13 years now. I remember first meeting her as a lively young whippersnapper, wet behind the ears and desperate to sink her teeth into some SF low brow/street art while interning at White Walls Gallery in 2010. I don't even know if she was old enough to get into bars she was frequenting at that time to be honest. Prior to me meeting her, she had already completed an internship in 2009 with Annodominal Gallery in San Jose where she worked with David Choe and Sheperd Fairey. She was awarded this internship due to a paper she wrote while getting her sociology degree at UC Santa Cruz based on the social implications of Graffiti throughout human existence, from the cave-man era to present day. In the year prior to this internship she was studying abroad in Barcelona reading up on art through @juxtapozmag and @fecalface.gallery. This formative time in her life would plant the seeds for many of her future endeavors in the arts. Tova officially moved to SF in July of 2010 after interning at White Walls Gallery while commuting from Santa Cruz. She quickly moved up the ranks to become White Walls' Gallery director in 2011 to 2013. After White Walls, she spent the next two years curating various public art projects before becoming gallery director of @heronarts in 2015. One of these projects is Art City (helloartcity.com) where she co-curated (with Jenny Scharif), project managed and fundraised a city wide project to replace advertisements with art in SF. This was followed by her involvement in the 2013 and 2014 Nashville Walls Project (@nashvillewallsproject) where she curated exhibitions that coincided with murals being painted by local and international artists in Nashville, TN. Tova's joy comes from seeing an artist's vision come into fruition through providing them with the proper tools, money, resource and space to achieve that vision. Public art is what originally drove Tova to pursue the arts because she believe that public art is for everyone. 🌻RISE SUNFLOWERS🌻 This exhibition sign was created by myself and @nickolaybereza for our co curated show 'Rise Sunflowers' which opened on July 16th 2022. ***@Select works from the exhibition are on display in the @lunarienne back gallery until September 25th. Proceeds go to @heartsforukraine.us The sign we designed was a throwback to the older @lunarienne tradition of displaying outdoor hand painted sign advertising their art shows. A tradition that went back to 1995 when they were called 'Fabric 8', before changing to 'Luna Rienne' in 2013. Many of those signs are still on display at Luna Rienne in their street level corridor. I'm proud to say that our sign will soon be on permenant display will all the others very soon. Feels good to be a part of such a historical SF collection! The original show features 28 local artists exhibiting affordable works of various media, the proceeds from which will be donated to Hearts for Ukraine, a Bay Area-based organization that delivers critical supplies to hospitals, shelters, schools, orphanages, nursing homes, refugee support centers and the territorial defense forces of Ukraine. Since we met all those years ago at Vesuvio Cafe, September 9th has become my personal holiday to celebrate you. You've been so many things for me over the years; a path to happiness, a huge inspiration, spiritual guide, voice of reason, a shoulder to cry on and most importantly a wonderful friend. 'NOD' Micron 08 Pen on Bristol Paper 19x24in. NFS This was recently commissioned by @realsmij to celebrate his girfriend's birthday on 9/15 during her stay in SF, all the way from London. N.O.D. stands for Never Off Duty, an acronym her collegues gave her while working as a sociologist. Since retiring from that profession, she now works as a Professor Of Innovation for the University of East London. She's works with PhD candidates and tech students researching how different technolgies effect people's lives. Her academic background includes: Head of Innovation Studies and Asst. Vice Chancellor for the University of East London, Head of Education at the University of Manchester, and she ran a year long international festival called 'Life On Learning' in London. She had met @realsmij at Burning Man in 2007, they've been dating since 2008. They became more intimate after losing a mutual friend to murder. They both collaborate in the virtual world on digital projects, and interact on 2nd Life; a program in which people interact with one another through the use of digital avatars. One type of interaction they enjoy together on this platform is playing darts. She's also been a recent participant at Sketch Tuesdays at @111minnagallery. 'AMANDA LYNN V' Micron 08 Pen on Bristol Paper 19x24 in. $500 Unframed I could say a million and one things about @alynnpaint, and more then likely will in time. This is the fifth portrait I've done of her and plan on doing a sixth and a seventh... It's hard to keep track of this one, it almost seems as though she has the uncanny ability to be at several places at once, working on various projects simitaniously. A mural here, a mural there, a solo show in one city and curated project in another. She is definitey an anomaly, a force of nature and one of the great mysteries of the art world! For now, I'll just say stay tuned for her upcoming exhibition with @lady_mags coming up at @111minnagallery this October. She's confident that this show will be a spectacle that will leave the viewers in awe!!!!! 'CHIRSTINA JOY' Micron 08 Pen on Bristol Paper 19x24in. 2022 $450 Unframed This'll be one of my more interesting posts. I was slightly hesitant to post this earlier due to people's views on social distancing due to the pandemic. Any artist know the value of $$$, epecially in regards to all the odd jobs one must undertake to support their habit of creativity. I've taken on plenty of 'roles' in my day; commercial muralist, bartender, bouncer, teacher, housepainter, asst. carpenter, etc..... None of those as nearly as interesting as 'Lingerie Applicator'. Yes, that's what they call it in the 'industry'. During 2020 I was searching for any options I could in order to make some extra $$$. I responded to add for for 'Costume Changer'. Upon my interview, I learned that my role would be to adjust model's lingerie (costumes) on (often) erotic photo sets. Adjusting, preparing and helping them fit into their chosen outfits while applying various oils on their skin between photo sets. This also include a unique variety of glitter applications which I was required to assist in removing after each set. Despite how incredibly sexy this sounds, it's actually way hatder and frustrating then one would assume. I also learned that the job was willing to pay me 'hazard pay', which is DOUBLE the normal rate for this type of work. They also compt food and transport! Not to mention the the very generous tips I would (and did) recieve from the models on each set! And.... I soon learned there was no shortage of work because I was their ONLY applicant! This role was conventually taken on by women in the past. So I was told: no creeping, preforably no fraternizing (at least no hints of it on sets), show up on time and sober always and then I'll be good to go. Weeks into the job I realized how high in demand I was, so models were actually willing to schedule their shoots around my art schedule. I was painting alot of mural in 2020, so this worked out perfectly!!!!! Pictured here is @christina.joy.imagery, she soon became my favorite model to work with. 'David Choong Lee' Micron 08 Pen on Bristol Paper 19x24in. $450 Unframed A San Francisco classic, I immediately started becoming familiar with the work of @davidchoonglee just weeks after first moving to SF in the summer of 2003. From seeing his works at galleries such as @111minnagallery and @lunarienne , learning more if his works from new local artists I befriended at the time, various printed publications and often seeing him on the street in downtown SF; I soon realized David was a staple in the SF art community. I've witnessed various manifestations of David's work over the years from depictions of the local homeless population, representations of people and figures on cigar box assemblage installations, various mixed media pieces showing individuals of the local art/music scene, all the way to his more spiritually driven abstract works of present. He is also know for his published books: 'God Made Dirt, And Dirt Don't Hurt', '4 Words', 'DIRT' and 'Convergence'. "The artist usually starts his paintings without a proper idea of what he’ll paint or how his artworks are going to look like in the end. His painting process also represents a process of discovery as the image starts to take on a life of its own. He uses acrylic, latex and aerosol paint to create works that can be described as moving between organic and geometric. His non-figurative vividly colored compositions arise from what he calls his inner visions deeply rooted inside the artist’s soul. His works are inspired by meticulous studies of physics and Darwinism.
