Hi :D I see that you like vintage manga! I'm a fan as well, so much so that my friends and I have actually started an anthology called Golden Garden, where we have 16 comic artists make new mangas in the old retro manga style. It's all made by fans for fans. It'd be so cool if you could check it out on Indiegogo where we have the crowdfunding going right now (to fund the printing costs). also just because your parents are rich baby boomers doesn’t mean all baby boomers are wealthy and they were your age at a time when it was much less common to get an education past high school, so yeah its actually good that they have access to this opportunity if they want it! y’all are deliberately obtuse sometimes!

This scene initially had me laughing - purely because of the look on Black Jack’s face when he realises that Pinoko is talking about him when she talks about being loved and being happy. He starts off all “regular/serious Black Jack” face and switches to “surprised Black Jack” face and it’s just hilarious, especially since we hardly ever get to see these types of reactions from him. Pinoko sure knows how to keep him on his toes, that’s for sure!

Looking past the initial surprise though, the look he has when he genuinely listens to Pinoko is the best. After vehemently declaring that he isn’t a kid, she talks about the fact that, like every person, she too goes through ups and downs, but she maintains her happiness through her own way of positive thinking: “I consider myself happy, so I’m always happy.” And, of course, she’s always happiest when she’s by Sensei’s side.
