💙💚KilluGon in April 2024! 💙💚

Hello, everyone. I'm not entirely dead, but I sure feel like I am. Still thinking about KilluGon every day as per usual, but my time to draw and write has been greatly depleted. School gets more difficult the older you get...

Currently, my iPhone6 doesn't have enough data to install Tumblr on my phone anymore. All my Instagram accounts have failed because it's all children on there... stupid western-minded children. My Wattpad got deleted when they got bought by Canada and I didn't feel like having that happen over and over again. My AO3 is fine, sending me emails almost every day of someone liking one of my works (thank you all so much for that). I want to update and add there, but nothing I've written in the past 2-3 years is edited, let alone finished past a paragraph or half a page on GoogleDocs. And most of them deal with my KilluGon Dimensions, in which Series 1 [2018-2023] has concluded and Series 2 [2023~] has begun (yet I still love Series 1 too much to fully let it go... ). My Discord activity is pretty dead, though I wish I could create a KilluGon-only group that could thrive on there.

I'm mainly on Twitter(X) now, participating in Japanese-limited HunterxHunter merch culture. Collecting all those Killuas and Gons is so draining and my Japanese isn't all that good (I'm an English KilluGon fanfic writer after all). Still, for the sake of my boys, I keep moving forward with them by my side. Killua is even on my face every day because I bought the collaboration glasses.

Well, now that all my rambling update is finished, it's time to start KilluGon in April 2024! For people who are new or have forgotten, it's the April equivalent of Inktober, but for KilluGon. As usual, I'm not sure how far I'll be able to get this year, but I made the prompt list myself this time. Randomized the days and randomized the words from two separate online generators. If you too would like to participate in KilluGon in April 2024, please go ahead! If it's anything other than KilluGon, such as you like the prompt list, use it quietly. Even in my year of absence, I haven't changed. KilluGon is life. 💙💚

This is the 5th year we celebrate Aya’s unofficial KilluGon day on January 7th! So let’s try a 5x5 grid of all the official Killua and Gon merch I was able to collect in 2022.

Also, I chose a theme this year: Gon surrounded by Killua’s love. Killua loves Gon so much, even if he doesn’t always show it. If he could come at Gon from all sides, it would work out for sure somehow. But always remember my KilluGon rule: Killua on the left, Gon on the right. Never risk it. 💙💚

Because I was home for my Killua’s birthday, my son’s boyfriend gets a proper display again this year! So much blue and purple!

This time, we try for a more “Japanese-style” display in which you have as many duplicates as possible. Collection and trade from randomized goods is difficult, so it shows your dedication to a singular character. I also focused on newer goods from the past year. (Election Arc Cafe, HxH Jump Fair 4, Universal Studios Japan, Stadium Escape Game, Phantom Troupe Cafe 3)

Day 2: A Sunny Day

So, this one was a lot harder than I was hoping… How do I make the “Sunny” part clear? Oh, make a 4-Koma where Gon’s smile makes a rainy day more sunny than the sun ever could! So cute! So KilluGon! 💙💚

However… After the first box, I didn’t have time to draw 3 more. So I spent the rest of my time just doing 3 drafts of this instead. I like the design of the angular spiral sun. And you know how much I like a Killua with a wristwatch. Still cute! Still KilluGon!

Day 1: Rain Boots

I really think this would look amazing in color~ But I didn’t even have enough time to do a final draft on white paper… not that my friend has any white paper or even pencils. Killua is holding Gon’s hand💙💚, but the focus should be on the rain boots! Killua’s have⚡️buckles while Gon’s have 🍏 buckles (and his bag strap style pull tabs)! It was nice to be able to draw KilluGon again, even if it wasn’t their faces. I always draw their faces though, so both their butts is a nice change! Also… I wanted to draw them standing in a heart-shaped puddle to symbolize that the rain stopped or something, but that would take perspective and you guys know I’m not good at that. 😅

Hey everyone! Sorry for not preparing well this year. January through March has been super busy this year with HxH stuff and it hasn’t slowed down… only ramping up!

While Official HunterxHunter merch is my focus right now, KilluGon is still important to think about and appreciate every day. So KILLUGON IN APRIL 2022 begins!

We are using Natural Beach Living’s April Drawing Challenge (even though there’s no 2022 date stamp) because it’s the only new Art Prompt list I could find without a 2017, 2020, or 2021 date stamp. Next year, people better put out something April 2023 specific or else we’ll have some trouble…

Today, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN released its HunterxHunter merch in the shop!!! Unannounced online were these 7 super cute (and derpy) Mascot Dolls (900円 each and randomized)! They ended up selling out today, along with Killua’s keychain plush toy (though I heard they restocked him). I’ll be going again tomorrow because the 4D attraction will be opening! I can’t wait to see everyone’s (cringy) 3D models running around on screen!
