Student movements fighting for justice and civil, human rights have never been in the wrong side of history, but they have ALWAYS been demonized by the media and reactionary minds. I am convinced for a very long time, they have been the unsung heroes of humankind. I am a huge admirer of youth, their strength, their commitment and their will to make a difference.
The same people who have complained about cancel culture limiting freedom of speech are the same ones cheering that SWAT teams are arresting and beating up students and even professors at universities for protesting against the Palestinian genocide commited by the State of Israel. But we all know these are the same people who are upset at their personal inconvenience of not being able to say freely the 'N' word anymore, the same people who feel they can't say anything antisemitic or racist any longer without facing social (not legal) consequences.
It's not black-and-white, like many journalists put it. It's not an issue exclusively about pro-Palestinian versus against Israel, it's against genocide, and an overwhelming part of Jewish people are against this, including Holocaust survivors, who are, by the way, being arrested or accused of being antisemitic for protesting or speaking up against this atrocity. This is all not being reported by mainstream media, but all the opposite--- lies are.
At the end of the day you are either in the right or wrong side of history and there's just one degree of difference: Empathy and humanism.
