idk what trans man or trans masc needs to hear this but if ur experiences with gender or gender identity make another trans man or trans person in general uncomfortable, that is entirely not your problem.
if you’re 50 years old and have lived the majority of your life as a woman and feel comfortable calling your younger self a girl and a woman and saying you used to be a woman, and some 20 yr old trans guy says that makes him feel dysphoric bc his experience is that he’s always been a man, that’s not your problem.
if you’re medically transitioning and want to look a certain way in order to pass for safety or comfort and someone says that makes them uncomfortable because you’re “inferring men have to look a certain way to be men”, that’s not your problem.
if you can’t or don’t want to medically transition and someone says that your body gives them “secondhand dysphoria”, that’s not your problem.
if the way you experience sexuality or queerness doesn’t make sense to someone and they think your identity is a reflection of their identity, that’s not your problem.
someone else’s unresolved issues are not your problem, and if they try to make them your problem, laugh at them and then block them/walk away.

i’m beyond sick of people pushing the idea that afab trans people don’t get attacked. i have faced so many threats and so much violence from terfs, and i’m sick of people acting like it’s not happening.
(tw rape) - - - i have quite literally been sexually assaulted to “remind me i’m a woman”
afab trans people face a TON of violence, afab trans people are attacked physically and verbally ALL THE TIME, and people reducing trans hate crimes to “only amab trans people get attacked” directly erases that
Tumblr media
i’m so tired
for context, this is on a vid where i was telling white goyish trans people to stop excusing the blood libel game

closeted trans boy here, I haven't come out to anyone outside of online things yet but I was wondering. Other than just shopping in the boy's section of clothes, what can make you look more masculine body-wise? Note that I'm like 13 years old hh (haven't come out cause I feel like most of my family other than my mom wouldn't support me)
I've kinda been wanting to get a binder, but I feel scared to ask. I've heard sports bras (I hate calling them that ajqowkfogn) can work as an alternative as well.
Just wanting to know so I can try to decrease some dysphoria I may be feeling.
hey anon ! if youre unable to get a binder right now, and you dont like the idea of sports bras, KT tape is a good method ! you can get it at most drug stores, and if you don't have a way to buy it yourself, you could make the excuse that you pulled a muscle, or if you play sports you can say you need it for that.
also, if you live somewhere with a target, their pride collection currently features binders by tomboy x. they arent *called* binders, so if you can find one in your size, you could say its a bra so your parents don't get suspicious. i think theyre called "compression tops". you could also get one online
if none of these options work, i think your best choice would be to try and get a binder. if you dont wanna ask, and you have some way to make a little money, you could also put money on a visa card or something and use that to buy it (i assume you dont have a crdit card or anything).
i hope this helped !

hi ! im not sure where you live, but planned parenthood is a good resource ! online options are also plume and folx (research whats available in your area)

Hey do you have any haircut tips or recommendations for people with a kinda chubby squareish looking face? I have a middle length haircut with curtain bangs that i really wanna keep but i also really want a haircut that wont get me misgendered, also i love that you give such incredible tips to other trans people
hi ! i think my best recommendation for that would be to have more length on top than on the sides. it'll suit your face shape i think. if you wanna keep the curtain bangs, you could try to shorten everything up a bit but still keep the general style ? just to make it a bit more neutral.
if neither of these ideas suit what youre looking for, id recommend doing some googling and seeing if anything catches your eye (although im sure you have already)

Hello, im Theo and i always wanted a beard but im pre t and very feminine and i dont know what i should do🥺
Do you have any ideas?🤓
hi theo ! you could try using coconut oil maybe ? that can promote hair growth, you could apply it where facial hair would grow. i cant promise results though, its very dependent on your body chemistry and everything

Heyy, i have a really feminine body and my chest is really killing me do you have any tips how i can get my chest flater without binding?🥺
without binding, your best bet is probably layers and big hoodies. BUT its getting hotter out (at least where i am), so you could maybe try kt tape ? its still binding, but its more accessible than getting a binder, you can find it at most drug stores
if you really dont want to bind at all, all i can really recommend is sports/compression bras or layering, but i urge you to be very careful in the heat

also I have wavy kinda-poofy hair so it kind of stands up when it's short; what styles do you recommend?
if you want something more masculine, anything thats short on the sides and long on top should work for your hair ! if you want something more neutral, i think your best option is probably something messy, if that makes sense ? like short hair where its meant to kind of stick out and look windblown. that way you can have it a little longer all around without it being *long*, yk ? i hope this helped, im not great at describing hairstyles

hey
im a gender fluid afab person who gets extremely extremely dysphoric looking at my appearance when I'm male (like right now)
im thinking of getting a binder and i read the ultimate guide to passing as a male post
i just wanna confirm: you're suggesting not to buy binders from amazon?
correct. amazon binders can be dangerous, and it's not worth the potential injury associated. some good brands would be GC2B or Spectrum, they're a little more expensive than an amazon binder, but it's worth it for the safety (also, please follow safe binding practices, no matter what kind of binder you get !)

howdy, I am a 17 year old transguy, I have been out for about 2 and half years, but my caregiver doesnt accept me, she constantly belittles me, and tells me I will never be a guy, she said everyone will always know I am a girl no matter how short I cut my hair or how flat I think my chest is, she emotionally and mentally abuses me, I want to move out and I do have somewhere to go, I just wanted to know does it make me a bad person for wanting to leave, Thanks Delsin
hey delsin ! you are NOT a bad person for wanting to leave. you are in an emotionally abusive situation that you don’t deserve to be in. if you have somewhere to go and you’re able to do so safely, i would 100% say move out as soon as possible. you are a guy, you will always be a guy, and society will accept you as a guy. don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. if you aren’t being supported, get out. you aren’t a bad person for wanting to go somewhere that accepts you

Do u have any tips for haircuts for someone with a chubby baby face? My hair is also very fine, thick, a little wavy but mostly straight, and oily I really struggle with haircuts. Thanks dudes. :)
hey ! so, my hair is just like this. my recommendation would be haircuts that go up. i usually shoot for having the back and sides shaved down, and then longer up top. i throw a little of the sonny’s original surf paste in the top, to get it to stick up. that messy look, ya know ? making it go up makes your face look longer and more masculine, and the paste will help your hair from laying flat

Hey, a few years ago I often felt quite a bit of gender dysphoria in the run up to my period, along with depression and a chance of cyclical vomiting on the first day. Though I started birth control and the urges to bind and present nonbinary have faded for the most part and I just... is this common?
it’s not uncommon, for sure. sometimes people mistake dysphoria surrounding their period when it’s actually their hormones being screwy, which might be what happened. but i’m not a professional, and if the dysphoria returns, i would recommend talking to a therapist about it
