Let's talk about fight scenes.
Writing fight scenes requires a delicate balance of action, emotion, and detail to keep readers engaged and immersed in the moment.
Here are some tips to craft compelling fight scenes:
Know your characters: Understand their fighting styles, strengths, and weaknesses—are they offensive, or defensive? Spontaneous, or strategic? Trigger-happy, or reluctant? Their personalities and motivations will influence their actions and decisions during the fight.
Create tension: Build tension leading up to the fight to increase the stakes and make the action more gripping. Foreshadowing, verbal sparring, or physical intimidation can all contribute to a sense of anticipation.
Use sensory details: Engage the reader's senses by describing the sights, sounds, smells, and physical sensations of the fight. This helps to create a vivid and immersive experience—but make sure not to overdo it. Too much detail can distract from the adrenaline of the fight.
Maintain clarity: Ensure that the action is easy to follow by using clear and concise language. Avoid overly complicated sentences or excessive description that could confuse readers.
Focus on emotions: Show the emotional impact of the fight on your characters. Describe their fear, anger, determination, or adrenaline rush to make the scene more compelling and relatable.
Include strategic elements: Incorporate tactics, strategy, and improvisation into the fight to make it more dynamic and realistic. Think about how your characters use their surroundings, weapons, or special abilities to gain an advantage.
Balance dialogue and action: Intersperse dialogue with action to break up the fight scene and provide insight into the characters' thoughts and intentions. Dialogue can also reveal or support the characters' personalities and motivations.
Keep it concise: While it's important to provide enough detail to immerse readers in the action, avoid unnecessary padding or overly long fight scenes. Keep the pacing brisk to maintain momentum and keep readers hooked.
Show the consequences: Illustrate the aftermath of the fight, including injuries, emotional trauma, or changes in relationships between characters. This adds depth to the scene and helps to drive the story forward.
Hope this helped ❤

Trials of the Cloaking Brooch
░ Stolen ░
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
ROTMNT
Summary: On his way to the Run of the Mill pizza, Leo spots out the corner of his eye a glint behind a trash can. He lingers over to investigate only to see a lost clocking brooch. Timidly he picks it up and twirls it in his fingers only to realize that he no longer had 3 green fingers but 5 human skin-toned fingers his eyes glance up at the semi-reflective trashcan to see a human form staring back at him. As he was about to investigate more, a beep from his phone caught his attention. it was a snap from April to the group chat with her and his brothers. He opened it up to see her lying on a desk with the caption "I'm sooooo bored." He glanced back up at the human reflection and an evil glint appeared in his eyes. He stood up shoving his phone back in his pocket and began his walk to April's school.
A/N: This is a book I am almost finished within A03 I wanted to post it here as well here is that link if you prefer to read it there. https://archiveofourown.org/works/41621709
----
Leo rushes out of the school gates to be pushed back by a hysterically laughing 3-foot mouse running past quickly followed by Donnie using his hovering shell to gain speed. Leo covered his face as the force of the wind pushes him further back into the schoolyard. Mikey followed behind the two twirlings a firey nunchuck above his head and screaming a sorta war cry. Leo ran back towards the gates to get a better view of his brothers who are now a block down.
Donnie landed slightly in front of the mouse and held his staff out threateningly and the mouse quickly skidded to a stop, Donnie laugh, "You're cornered now!". The mouse looked over his shoulder to see Mikey aiming and smirked. Leo quickly saw what was happening and shouted for his brother to duck as Mikey released one end of his nunchuck as the mouse jumped and the fiery end of the Kusari flew at Donnie's head. Donnie quickly ducked at Leo's shout barely missing the nunchuck to the head.
Donnie looked up confused as he searched the area for his brother mumbling to himself, "Leo?"
Realizing his mistake Leo ducked behind the gate hiding from his brother's view and grabbed the brooch removing his human disguise and tucking it into his side pouch. He reached to his back grabbing his two katanas which were concealed with the brooch.
Leo then portals himself above the mouse tackling him to the ground.
"Leo!" Mikey yelled in excitement at the appearance of his brother.
Ralph slowly joins the brothers out of breath from having to keep up with his two much faster brothers and wild mouse. "You're late," He comments between breaths gaining an eye-roll from Leo.
"Well I'm here now and I caught the mouse." Leo groans as he looks down at his capture that was squirming between his arms. "What is it anyway?"
"A mutant of Dr. Stalin a renowned biochemist but for some reason, the Oozesquitoe has made him completely insane and he has been conducting experiments on people all over town," Donnie informed while tapping on his tech gauntlet on his wrist.
As Leo focused on his brother's explanation he didn't notice the Mouse turn its head to bite on Leo's wrist causing Leo to yipe and yank his hand to his chest allowing the mouse to get out of Leo's hold. The mouse climbed up onto Leo's back while Leo was still distracted tending to his injured hand. A cold needle entered the back of Leo's neck as the mouse injects him with something before jumping off and taking off down the street again.
Leo noticed the mouse getting away and reached to recapture the mouse but his body forced him to the ground, "Mikey!" Leo ordered realizing his inability to catch the mouse.
Mikey quickly caught onto his brother's order and began running after the mouse shouting, "I'm on it!" The other two brothers ran over to check on Leo who held the back of his neck tightly and began shaking.
"Leo! What's wrong!" Ralph questioned in worried trying to comfort his brother who let out a painful scream.
Leo shoved his brothers off him and began scratching at his skin and screamed as his skin began to feel like a fire has started under it.
Suddenly a wave of relief struck Leo and he let out a breath and turned calmly to his brothers who stared at him confused. "What? do I have something in my teeth?" Leo questioned picking at his teeth.
Donnie scratched his head, "Uh Leo, you're uh... blue" Leo looked down at his skin to see Donnie was correct his skin was blue.
Leo frowned, "All that just to turn my skin BLUE, that's so lame."
Leo pushed himself up as the mouse jumps on top of Leo's head, "Interesting results?" it stood up on Leo's shoulder and pulled out a notepad, "Experiment 15, It appears that the paralyzing serum turns turtle mutants blue. More research must be conducted to find a working paralyzing serum for turtles."
"wait did you say paralyzing serum?" Leo asked dumbfounded.
"Leo! Look out!" Mikey yelled as a fiery end of a nunchuck began flying toward Leo and the mouse. Leo with wide eyes, duck while throwing the mouse in the air.
***
Back at the sewers three of the four turtles sat in the middle of their base sulking. Each one of their previously green skin is now blue.
They captured the mouse but only after it conducted its experiment on all of the turtles except Donnie turning them blue. Donnie had brought the mouse back to the lab and called Draxum over as well.
Donnie as dramatic as usual burst out of his lab yelling, "I have done it yet again brothers and I have achieved the impossible! With the combination of our three genius minds, we have developed a cure for the Oozesquitoe's bite!" Donnie then stepped aside to reveal a skinny human with bright red hair in a torn-up white lab coat.
All three of the turtles jumped up in surprise at the new circumstances.
"No way! This is huge!" Mikey exclaims proudly breaking the silence and breaking Raph and Leo out of their surprised daze.
"How did you..." Leo begins to ask but is unable to find his words.
"After convincing Dr. Stalin evil mouse form that it would be in his best interests to help he was able to look at the Oozesquitoe effects on the DNA and how to detach it," Draxum explained stepping out of the lab.
A crash was heard from the back of the sewer gaining the attention of the turtles. Splinter was standing in the entrance with a broken mug at his feet, "you made a cure?" he asked with a longing look.
The three genius looked at each other searching for a way to break the news.
Draxum was the one to speak up stepping forward, "the only way we were able to change Dr. Stalin back was because of how recent the Oozesquitoe bite occurred. Your genetic mutation occurred 16 years ago therefore it's too late for you."
Splinter nodded in understanding before solemnly turning around and walking out of the room. Raph started to walk towards where splinter was but Leo grabbed him by the shoulder. Raph looked at Leo seeing the look in his eyes and understood Leo's reasoning and nodded. Splinter needed a moment by himself to recollect the hope that was sparked only to be diminished again.
"Ok, what does this mean?" Leo asked turning his attention back to his twin.
"We were only able to revert Dr. Stalin so quickly because he was turned within the past 12 hours, but with Dr. Stalin's help we might be able to construct a cure for the other mutants." Donnie began to plan.
"And what about this whole situation?" Raph asked waving over his blue body.
"I can fix that." Dr. Stalin finally spoke up pulling out a needle from his coat and making the three blue turtles cringe. "the fastest and most effective way for the serum to revert the paralyzing serum will be for it to enter from the Gluteal muscles." he stated walking towards the turtles.
The three turtles looked at Donnie for an explanation who pointed to his butt and the three turtle screamed jumping onto each other for support.
***
All the turtles have gone to bed except Donnie who stood in the doorway of Leo's subway cart that he has converted into his room.
Donnie slowly walked in to see Leo sprawled out on his bed snoozing away. Donnie was on the hunt for answers to whatever his twin has been hiding.
He first goes for Leo's shelves digging through his trinkets from Leo's favorite comics and movies when he accidentally knocked over a figurine. Donnie jumped down to catch it before it crashed on the floor and peeked at his sleeping twin who rolled over and mumbled, "Donnie".
Donnie froze, "why did you turn my bunnies pink." Leo mumbled. Donnie let out a breath relieved Leo was just talking in his sleep. Donnie's eyes shifted from his twin to his bedpost where his pouch hung.
A glint flashed in Donnie's eyes as he reached for the pouch and rummage through it. Usually, Leo only keeps quick medical supplies in it for when one of the brothers gets hurt on the field but among the supplies, Donnie found something different a brooch.
He pulled the brooch out and admired it and when his reflection in the brooch shifted from his turtle look to one of a human his eyes widened in realization. This is what his twin has been hiding. Donnie scurried out of Leo's room and back into his room. Walking up to his mirror Donnie places the brooch on his chest to be transformed into a human.
He had dark dreads half of which is pulled up into a half ponytail. He shared the same sharp chin and bushy eyebrows as his father when he was human but his skin was much darker than his father's. He wore a purple hoodie, and baggy black pants, and his goggles remained on the top of his head.
Donnie looked at his new human form in amazement and smirked evilly.
***
Leo woke up very late around noon to be exact the rest of his family was already up and moving around. Raph and Mikey were skateboarding on the ramp, splinter was watching his shows the one turtle that couldn't be found was Donnie. Leo shrugged assuming his twin was probably with Dr. Stalin and Draxum.
Leo got a beep on his phone and look to see a text from an unknown number, 'hey hope you don't mind I got your number from April'.
Another beep, 'This is Alise by the way'
Leo smiled and began to type a reply turning away from his brothers and heading back to his room.
L- 'hey Alise 👋'
A- 'I just wanted to make sure you were ok you left in a hurry yesterday when turtles were fighting
L- 'all good here, I just needed to go check on my brothers'
A- 'Awesome are they all good?'
L- 'yup'
A- 'cool cool'
A- 'I also wanted to make sure you were still good to come to the game tonight so I can get you a ticket'
L- 'Of course I do! I have never been to a football game'
A- 'awesome 👍 I just got your ticket, the game starts at 4 but we can meet up at the MTG room beforehand'
L- 'can't wait'
Leo clicks his phone off with a smile and began digging through his pouch for his cloaking brooch only to find it missing. In a panic, Leo dumped all the contents of his bag out onto his bed all that was in the bag were his bandages, disinfectants, and other medical supplies. Leo ran around his room tearing it apart in search of his brooch.
The ruckus of Leo's search gained the attention of Mikey who came to check on his older brother, "what-cha looking for Leo?"
Leo jumped up with a shout, "Nothing!" before jumping past Mikey and out of the room.
Leo searched everywhere in the sewers for his brooch maybe he dropped it somewhere.
With no luck in finding the brooch in the sewers, Leo resorted to the surface.
After hours of searching, Leo gave up and sat on top of the school building as the football game began. All the students were outside in the stands cheering all but one.
Alsie stood near the gate where last-minute fans were entering from. Alsie looked upset as she typed on her phone.
Leo's phone beeped with a message from her, 'The game is about to start where are you?'
Leo began typing a response, some kind of excuse but everything he type up felt fake. He finally just sent, 'I'm sorry but I can't make it 😔'
He looked over at Alsie to watch her reaction. She sighed at the text before shoving the phone in her pocket and walking out the gate everyone else was entering. Leo followed from the roof to watch her make it to the front of the school and began her walk home.
Leo sighed he didn't mean to hurt her feeling. He sat in defeat placing his face in his hands.
As he reflected he heard a scream from the direction Alsie went. Jumping up Leo was able to catch a glimpse of Meat Sweats jumping into the back of a beat-up news van holding Alsie. The van took off down the street with their new capture.
Quickly Leo jumped up and threw one of his swords towards the van once it embedded itself into the roof Leo teleported to it in a flash. Leo held onto the sword to keep him stable as he tried to listen to the conversations in the van.
"..... you kidnapping me is literally pointless!" Leo can barely hear Alsie yell at her captures.
"Consider this an incentive for him to make it faster then." Meat Sweats countered.
"That is literally the dumbe......." Alsie began to say but git cut off by something.
Leo frowned at his lack of explanation and began to crawl to the front of the vehicle and peeked his head in front of the windshield. There was Warren stone the worm mutant in the driver's seat and beside him, Hypno the hippocampus mutant in the passenger seat both now screaming at Leo's sudden appearance.
The van yanked to the side causing Leo to fumble off the side of the van barely able to grab onto the side mirror. Leo then teleported himself back to his first sword that he dug into the top of the van. He pulled the sword out before creating a portal to bring him inside the van.
"you know I question a lot of things you do but kidnapping? Did you run out of bad guy things to do?" Leo quips as he appeared in between the pig and the two mutants sitting up front.
Meat Sweats quickly lounges after Leo who ducks out of the way swapping sides with the pig, "ohh just a little too slow, you getting old Meat Sweats?"
The pig huffs before charging again. This time Leo jumped above him causing him to ramp through the back door. The pig attempted to hold onto the door but it gave out due to his weight and he fell to the streets.
Leo stood up dusting his hands off, "well that's one less villain, who next!" he taunted as the hippopotamus stood up out of his seat ready to fight. He got ready to let out a hypnotic scream when something hit him from the side.
Standing where Hypno was was Alsie with her arms tied to her sides and duck tape covering her mouth.
Hypno rubbed his head from the floor directing his gaze to Alsie and opened his mouth to let out a hypnotic scream at Alise, luckily Leo noticed and almost in a blur jumped in front of Hypno, "oh no you don't!" Leo then kicked him in the jaw knocking him out.
Leo turns his attention to Alsie untieing her and removing the tape off her mouth. "sooooo what brings you here?" Leo asks playfully.
Alsie rubs her skin that was once tied down, "This time my father found a cure for the mutants."
"Your dad is Dr. Stalin?" Leo questions in surprise. Alsie just nodded in response.
"Enough with the small talk! Warren Stone is here to defeat you! Now that I have you alone you will have no chance against me!" the worm mutant announced as he slithered to the back of the van.
Alsie and Leo gave each other a look of disappointment before Alsie grabbed the worm and punted him out of the van.
"wait if he was driving then..... Ahhhhh!" Leo comments before the van starts swerving on the road and the two are tossed from one side of the van to the other. Leo quickly makes a portal on the other end of the van so when it shifted and they went falling they fell through the portal.
A portal appeared in a nearby ally, Leo was the first to jump through quickly gaining his footing but was followed by Alsie who tumbled knocking the two over onto the ground.
The two groaned in pain and they pushed themselves off the ground, "some rescue," Alsie mumbled sarcastically.
"Hey! I got you away from the bad guys safe and sound," Leo complained.
"Did you now." a voice said from the front of the ally. Leo jumped up and ready his swords. One of the Sando brothers the crab mutants enters the ally punching one claw into the other.
"uh, blue?" Alsie gained Leo's attention to see the second half of the Sando brothers walking from the other side of the ally.
"here take this!" Leo hands her one of his swords before charging at the Crab in front of him.
Alsie gripped the sword taking a more defensive role as the second grab charged after her she lift the sword to block his claw and flung him back. She moved fast blocking and dodging but she is not trained in sword fighting and the crab got the upper hand and grabbed her by the side lifting her off the ground. She let out a short scream before she was teleported back to the ground.
Confused Alsie looked around to see Leo now where she was in the claw of the Crab, "don't think is going to be that easy!" Leo taunted taking advantage of the confused crab to get out of its hold.
Alsie didn't have time to focus on the turtle's fight as she had the second Crab charging at her now. Alsie jumped out of the way of the charging crab who stumbled slightly before coming back after Alsie. She tried blocking his attack but he grabbed the sword by its blade and lifted her and the sword off the ground and pulled her off the sword now holding the sword in one claw and Alsie in the other.
Once Leo saw this he quickly teleported to the sword gripping the handle to swing himself up to the crab's face and kicking him in the eye. The Crab let go of the sword and Leo dropped down, twirling the two swords in his hands to get a better grip. "Did you think I forgot about you?" Leo quipped before going in for his attack.
Leo jumped up cutting off the crabs claw that was holding Alsie, the crab grew back a new claw but not before Leo could get in his hits. It almost looked like a dance as the two twirled around as Leo knocked the crab back and forth. Leo was finally able to get the last hit by knocking the crab upwards and as it fell using his sword like a bat he hit the crab into the ally walls.
The second crab came running for his injured brother. Leo twirled his swords back into their holster on his back as he turned to Alsie reaching a hand out to get her off the ground.
"might be a good idea to get you somewhere safe before more mutants show up," Leo suggested as she took his hand and he pulled her up. Leo then made a portal to the turtle's lair where Raph and Mikey were sitting on the floor eating pizza.

Pages of Promise, We'll meet again
Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Summary: You have always itched for adventure and when an interesting vessel appears you take your chance and jump aboard. Now the Straw hat pirates present an offer you can't refuse but before you take them up on it you first need to speak to your grumpy captain.
Trafalgar Law x reader
---
Law's initial assumption was that your boundless energy and lack of boundaries would be a constant annoyance, but since you have been aboard he learned how wrong his assumption was. Yes, you were a handful with your knack for finding trouble, and extricating you often became Law's personal headache. But he'd come to appreciate that side of you too. When you weren't excitedly soaking up new information or peppering the crew with questions for your ever-growing log, you were a surprisingly calm person.
For a good part of each day, you'd disappear, engrossed in recording the Heart Pirates' adventures. Your passion seeped through the pages of your beautifully illustrated log, showcasing your love and thoughtfulness for the crew.
It wasn't until he saw you gazing at the Straw Hat captain with the same unwavering determination you'd had when you first boarded the Polar Tang that Law realized what he'd taken for granted.
The Straw Hats each have their own fascinating stories and ambitious dreams and you listen in awe. You scribbled furiously in your smaller travel notebook, capturing their every word so you could later transfer it to your larger masterpiece. Your pen barely kept pace with the torrent of tales they poured out.
Law's frown deepened as your eyes glowed with a familiar spark. Sure he didn't want you on his crew at first but he'd grown attached to you, and so had the rest of the crew. From your cheerful good mornings, while whipping up breakfast to your one-on-one sessions with each crew member to write their stories, you have become an indispensable part of their lives.
But what Law appreciated most was your silent companionship. He'd often find you tucked away in a quiet corner, diligently writing and sketching while he read a medical book, the rhythmic sounds of the waves serving as a lullaby.
His heart tightened when the Straw Hat captain finally reached his boiling point. He bounded over to you, his declaration echoing across the decks, "Y/N! We go on crazy adventures every day and someday I'll be King of the Pirates! If you want to write about a legendary crew, you should join ours!"
Law's gaze darted between you and the captain, his knuckles turning white as he gripped his sword hilt.
Luffy grabbed your shoulders in a playful chokehold. "Every legend needs a chronicler! What do you say, Torao?! Can Y/N join my crew?!"
All eyes turned to Law, the air thick with anticipation. The smile that had bloomed on your face faltered. You'd been so caught up in the Straw Hats' infectious energy that you'd completely forgotten about your crew.
His jaw clenched, and his grip on his sword tightened further. "I don't control them,"
Luffy jumped up in excitement grabbing onto your shoulders and cheering for his new crew members. The others also joined in celebration making you feel welcomed and warm compared to Law's cold glare. You pulled yourself out of the straw hat's grip and bowed your head, guilt gnawing at you. "I'm so sorry, Straw Hat-ya, but… would you allow me some time to think about this?"
Luffy's infectious grin faltered slightly, but he nodded. "Yeah, but don't keep me waiting too long!" He quickly bounced back to his usual cheer, rejoining the festivities.
You felt a pang of longing as you turned away from the vibrant scene, seeking solace with your captain. Sitting awkwardly next to him, you struggled to find the words. Law finally sighed, the tension slowly draining from his shoulders. "You should join them," he muttered, surprising you.
Your head snapped up, eyes wide. "But what about the Heart Pirates?"
Law pulled off his hat and ran a hand through his hair, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "I already reached my goal. Doflamingo was defeated. I don't know what the world has in store for us next, but I do know whatever the Straw Hats' will be doing, it will be far more interesting. Your dream is to write about the new era, and I played my part. The Straw Hat captain… he isn't done."
You were frozen, your mind racing. "But Captain…"
Law stood up, cutting you off. "Just go join them." He turned away, his voice thick with emotion. He stormed away to the Polar Tang slamming the hatch shut behind him.
Just as Law disappeared in the tang a whistle pierced the air. Turning, you saw Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo approaching, their faces etched with concern.
"He seems mad," Shachi commented, plopping down on a nearby crate.
"You aren't really going to join the Straw Hats, are you?" Bepo asked, his voice trembling.
You shook your head placing it in your hand "I don't know."
Penguin shrugged. "Maybe you should join them. You're almost finished with your book on us, and the Straw Hats are going to need someone like you to tell their stories."
Bepo scowled. "But she's a part of our crew!"
Penguin sighed. "Look, Bepo, she has a dream too. Documenting the new era, the Straw Hats are definitely going to be leaders in that. It doesn't mean she doesn't care about us."
"But what about our Captain? Or do you not think he can become King of the Pirates?" Shachi interjected, glaring at Penguin.
Penguin flinched. "No, it's just… you saw them. Besides, Captain said it himself."
"But Y/N joined our crew first, doesn't that count for something?" Bepo whined.
"I just mean Y/N has served her purpose with our crew joining the straw hats would be the best for her." Penguin countered, his voice firm.
The conversation devolved into a heated debate, leaving you feeling even more overwhelmed. You excused yourself and retreated to your favorite porthole, the one offering the best view of the open sea. As you approached you found another figure leaning against your window staring off at the sea.
You smirked slowing your approach and dancing toward your grumpy captain "Anything interesting out there?" You sang leaning into his view.
Law jumped at your appearance but relaxed when he realized it was you and leaned his back onto the wall. "Nothing new." He sighed rubbing the back of his neck, "I'm sorry for being brash earlier."
You crossed your arms and smirked playfully, "You were?"
He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "But I was being sincere earlier. I think you should join the Straw Hats. But…"
"But?" you urged, your heart pounding.
He looked away, his voice quieter. "But we'll miss you."
A warm smile spread across your face. "Awe, did I finally grow on you, grumpy Captain?"
He scoffed playfully turning to his side and looking back out the porthole, "You did a while ago." He admitted.
His comment took you off guard, "What is that supposed to mean?"
Law sighed, "You might have been a little much at first but I have grown to enjoy your presence and passion."
You tilted your head, studying him curiously. "Enjoy?" Your tone was laced with surprise, "The entire time I have been aboard you have been so pouty."
He scoffed, "I have not been pouty." You gave him a knowing look causing him to roll his eyes, "Fine I might have been a little pouty but that's just because I didn't know how to feel about you."
"Feel about me? Captain, do you like me?" You playfully teased.
Law's cheeks turned a faint pink. "Forget I said anything!" He pushed himself away from the wall and started to walk off.
"Wait!" you called out, reaching out to grab his arm. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to tease. Please."
He turned back, his gaze meeting yours. His eyes softened, and for a fleeting moment, you saw a vulnerability you hadn't noticed before.
"Y/N," he began, his voice low and husky. "When you first boarded the ship, you were full of this chaotic energy, but there was another side to you that I learned to appreciate. You care so much about the crew and documenting every adventure." He reached the wall again and sat down, "The first time I saw you here, drawing and writing your stories…"
"Our stories," You interrupted with a chuckle, joining him on the wall.
Law smiled faintly. "Yes, our stories. I didn't think you had it in you to be so focused. It was… nice to hear your pen scratching against your sketchbook as I read my medical books. I think that's when I started having conflicting feelings for you."
You felt a blush creep up your neck. You hadn't expected such a confession. "Why didn't you say anything sooner?"
Law shrugged, a hint of frustration in his voice. "It's not like I could act on it. I'm your captain and there was so much that needed to be done. And if you don't feel the same it would backfire more on me."
Hesitantly, you admitted, "I would be lying if I said I didn't feel the same way. I never imagined you could feel the same." You pause looking softly at him, "So what now?"
Law sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Now you join the Straw Hats and complete your dream. Then, hopefully, one day our paths will cross again."
The thought of leaving Law and the Heart Pirates ached, but you understood his reasoning. "But what if I don't want to join the Straw Hats?"
Law raised an eyebrow, surprised. "I saw how you were looking at them, how you blended in with them."
You bit your lip. "They're constantly getting into trouble, and I don't think I'm strong enough for that."
"They'll protect you," Law reassured you.
"Just like you have?" you asked.
"No." Law averted his gaze, a wry smile playing on his lips. "With me, it was different. I pulled you out of trouble. With them, it'll be different. They'll pull you into trouble, they'll challenge you, push you to your limits, but they'll also have your back."
"But I like things the way they are here. With you," you confessed, a pout forming on your lips.
Law grabbed your chin pulling you to look at him before he pulled you into a kiss. You were taken by surprise at first but his soft lip calmed your nerves as he deepened the kiss.
When he pulled away, his eyes held a mixture of sadness and determination. "Y/N," he said in a voice rough with emotion, "go chase your dream, and when you do, we'll meet again."
He stood up abruptly and disappeared down the hall, leaving you staring after him in a daze.
Taking a deep breath, you knew what you had to do. You grabbed your bag and made your way to the library. There, in the quiet solitude, you began writing the final chapter of your time with the Heart Pirates.
With a heavy heart but a burning determination, you finished the entry, pouring your love and gratitude for your experience onto the pages. Closing the book, you turned to the empty one – the one that would chronicle the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates. You place the new empty book into your bag leaving the completed version of the Heart Pirates book on the table for everyone on the crew to read.
With your bag full and a new empty book, you walked out of the polar tang. Outside the party, the two ships have started to die down and many lay asleep on the ground. Your eyes darted across the dock for your captain but he was nowhere in sight, before you could turn around in search of him you felt a rubbery hand wrap around your waist.
"Y/N! I see your bags are packed! Did you make a decision?" A bubby captain pulled you off the deck of the Tang and onto the deck of the Sunny.
Your feet wobble as you try to brace your new bearings. You scratch your head, "Yeah I think I did but I was hoping I could say goodbye to Law first."
"No need." Robin appeared at your side, holding a folded piece of paper. "He stopped by earlier and left you a note."
You took the paper, your heart pounding. Written on the paper in handwriting that could only be written by a doctor said, "We'll meet again."
"Hey, we should probably get going soon if we want to make it to the next island by tomorrow!" Nami shouted from above you cutting off your thoughts.
"Alright then, let's set sail!" Luffy declared, his voice brimming with infectious energy.
And with that, the Sunny pulled away from the dock and the Heart Pirates, charting a course towards a new adventure. You stood at the railing, the wind whipping through your hair, your notebook clutched tightly in your hands. The future stretched before you, an open book waiting to be filled with the stories of the Straw Hat Pirates, and perhaps, someday, a reunion with a certain grumpy doctor. A smile bloomed on your face – the adventure had just begun.

Slight of Hands
Summary: A woman snuck her way onto the polar tang by tricking Shachi and Penguin but Law is quick to realize her antics. She has now been taken captive by Law.
A/N: OK here is chapter 2. It's just as flirty and sly as the first and now I am invested in this character and will be adding another chapter soon but will probably end it after that.
Chapter 1
---
Red emergency lights cast a sickly glow on the metal walls and pipes of the cramped room. When the woman finally regained consciousness, she found herself stuck fast to the metal chair, a groan escaping her lips. The sound alerted the other occupant, a tall figure who rose from the shadows with arms crossed.
"You're awake," he stated, his voice a low rumble. She looked up, the red light obscuring his features. Recognition dawned on her as she saw the silhouette of the Captain she'd taunted earlier. Instead of fear, a playful glint sparked in her eyes, and she simply rolled her eyes and relaxed back in the chair.
Law's jaw clenched at her nonchalance. "You're going to tell me everything you know," he stated firmly, towering above her. "And who you plan on relaying that information to."
The woman threw back her head and laughed. "This is cute, really." When her laughter subsided, she smirked. "Alright, alright, I'll tell you. But only for a good price."
Law remained composed as he reached into his pocket and withdrew a glistening object, causing the woman to flinch – her own heart. He dangled it in front of her, a cruel amusement playing on his lips.
"I wonder how much value your heart holds," he taunted, tossing the heart in the air and catching it repeatedly. With each throw, the woman flinched, a flicker of fear betraying her earlier bravado.
"Fine," she snarled, the defiance cracking in her voice.
Law stopped his game of catch. "Let's start off with an easy one," he said, pulling a chair over and grabbing a notebook resting on it. "What is your name?"
"Raven," she answered curtly.
"Who do you work for?"
A sly smile played on her lips. "Depends on the price. I could be working for anyone or no one at all. Most of the time it's the Marines, but sometimes other pirates."
"So you're a consultant," Law hummed, pulling a pen from his pocket and opening the notebook. "Who were you planning on selling my information to?" he continued, scribbling notes.
The woman shrugged, feigning boredom. "No one in particular yet. But you've been making quite a lot of noise. I figured someone would come around sooner or later. Might as well get ahead of the game."
"And tell me everything you learned," Law pressed.
The woman burst out laughing before a serious glint replaced the amusement in her eyes. "Everything," she declared.
Law's gaze narrowed. "What is that supposed to mean?" he questioned, suspicion lacing his voice.
She smirked, a hint of a challenge radiating from her. "Let's just assume I know every single thing about you."
Law gripped the pen in his hand, knuckles turning white. "You can't know everything," he stated, disbelief evident in his tone.
"Try me," she countered, a playful glint back in her eyes.
"Where am I from?"
"Flevance," she replied without hesitation. "But if you want a deeper answer, you also lived at Spider Miles with the Donquixote Pirates for a while, and then Swallow Island." She cocked her head, waiting for his next question.
"Okay, smartass," he growled, his voice strained. "Who did I live with at Swa—"
The woman cut him off. "Some inventor named Wolf. That one was way too easy. Let's talk about something harder to find. Corazon." The name struck Law like a physical blow. His eyes darted to her, a look of terror contorting his features.
"He was a Marine spy, right?" she taunted, leaning forward in the chair. Law stood up abruptly, his hand twitching near the hilt of his sword. "Now we're getting somewhere," the woman laughed, reveling in his distress.
Law looked like he was about to explode, his hands clenching and unclenching. With a frustrated sigh, he turned on his heel and stormed out of the room, the metal door slamming shut behind him with a resounding bang.
Alone in the darkness, the woman let out a triumphant smirk. She scanned the room, taking in the pipes and the stifling heat. It wasn't hard to deduce she was trapped in the sub's boiler room. Hours ticked by, and the only sound was the low hum of the machinery.
The door creaked open again, and a bright Light flooded the room, momentarily blinding Raven. Squinting, she couldn't make out the figure who entered, but they carried a delicious aroma. As the door closed, she focused on the approaching silhouette.
"I brought some food," the figure spoke kindly, revealing itself to be a large, lumbering polar bear. He held a steaming bowl of soup, the smell further amplifying Raven's grumbling stomach.
She offered a grateful smile as her stomach rumbled in protest. "Thank you," she said, attempting to reach for the bowl. Unfortunately, her arms remained tethered to the chair. With pleading eyes, she looked up at the bear. "Do you think you could take these ropes off? I promise I won't do anything."
The bear approached hesitantly. "I don't know, Captain just gave me permission to bring you the soup."
"Just one arm then, please," she whined, pouting her lips adorably. "So I can use it to eat. I'm so hungry."
The bear, easily swayed by her act, nodded and untied her right hand. She wasted no time in grabbing the bowl and slurping down the soup. "Thank you," she sighed in relief, finally feeling full. The bear watched in amusement as she devoured the entire serving in seconds.
The bear nodded and reached out to retie her arm back down but she pulled it back, "Wait please let me stretch it a bit." she begged with her puppy dog eyes.
"Uh, I don't know. Captain told me not to trust you." He stuttered unsure of what to do.
"But I didn't do anything." her lip trembles, "I promise."
Sweat started pouring from the polar bear. "I guess you have been down here for a bit. And the captain is acting a little unreasonable."
The woman smiles triumphantly, "You are so kind. What's your name?"
"Bepo."
"Bepo." she smiles having her in, "You're a mink right? What is Zou like?" she places her chin in her palm and looks at him with genuine interest.
Bepo's eyes lit up. "I left Zou when I was young," he admitted. "But it's a very peaceful town with the nicest people ever. I miss them."
"Why did you leave then?"
Bepo's smile faded as he looked down. "I'm looking for my brother," he confessed.
"Do you have any leads?"
He shook his head sadly.
Raven frowned in sympathy. "I'm sorry, Bepo. I hope you find him." She paused, a calculating glint in her eyes. "You might not find the answer you want, but I may have some intel on Big Mom and her involvement with the Nox Pirates."
Bepo perked up, his ears twitching with interest. "The Nox pirates…?"
Before Raven could elaborate, a coughing fit seized her. She doubled over, clutching her chest in pain.
"What's wrong? What's happening?" Bepo exclaimed, panic lacing his voice.
Gasping for breath, she wheezed, "I… I can't… breathe."
Concerned, Bepo quickly untied her other arm and helped her to her feet. "What do you need?"
"Air… I need air," she coughed, desperation creeping into her voice.
Without hesitation, Bepo scooped her up and raced out of the boiler room. A faint smirk played on her lips before returning to her convincing coughs. The worried bear sprinted across the sub's deck, the sea breeze finally reaching them.
Raven took a deep, lung-filling breath of the salty air, her coughing subsiding. Bepo gently lowered her to the deck, leaning against the railing.
"Thank you, Bepo," she panted, a hint of gratitude in her voice. "I guess I've been down there for too long and needed fresh air."
Bepo, relieved, nodded in understanding. "I know what that's like. The air in the sub can be so thick and hot." He rubbed her back comfortingly. "You were saying something about the Nox pirates. That was the crew my brother was a part of."
Raven's eyes widened. "He was part of that crew…" she hesitated, a flicker of doubt crossing her face. "Oh no, Bepo, I don't know if I should be the one telling you."
Bepo's eyes pleaded with her. "Please, you're the only person who has any idea what happened to my brother."
Raven frowned, wrestling with her conscience. "From what I read," she began cautiously, "the Nox Pirates were after her Poneglyphs, and Big Mom caught them. Only one of the pirates left the island. That's all I know."
Tears welled up in Bepo's eyes. "That doesn't mean he's dead! He could have gotten away. I'm sorry, if I knew your brother was a part of that crew, I wouldn't have brought it up. I was just hoping it would be a start to finding leads." She pulled Bepo into a hug, surprising the giant bear.
"Yo Bepo, what are you… Is that the prisoner!" A booming voice echoed from around the corner. Shachi, the man with the killer whale hat stormed over, shoving himself between the two defensively holding his arm in front of the Bear. "You're not supposed to be out here!" he barked, pointing a threatening finger at Raven.
"Sorry, Shachi," Bepo stammered, "I brought her out here, she needed fresh air."
Penguin waddled up, puffing out his chest. "Well, she needs to go back before the Captain sees her. We can't have her causing any more trouble."
Raven held up her hands defensively. "Don't blame him. I couldn't breathe down there, and Bepo was just trying to help. If you want me to go back down I will I'm helpless against the three of you. But out here I'm not alone and you can keep a better eye on me." She spoke in a higher, sweeter voice than she used previously.
A thought flashed in the eyes of both Shachi and Penguin, "I got a new idea!" Shachi spoke up, "We keep her on the deck where there are fewer things for her to steal and we keep an eye on her."
Penguin smiled, "Exactly! She won't be able to trick us again, and we're too strong for her anyway."
As the three pirates bickered amongst themselves, Raven couldn't help but smirk.
---
When Law comes back into the boiler room he is shocked to find an empty chair and the ropes on the floor. Realization dawned on his face, and his jaw clenched in anger.
He stormed across the deck, the crew scattering across the deck. His gaze fell upon Raven, who stood confidently in the center of the crew, captivating their attention with a story.
"And that's not even his full name!" she declared, her voice ringing out with excitement. "The government was too scared to let anyone know his real name… Gold D. Roger!"
A collective gasp rippled through the crew.
"The World Government is scared of this tribe, and for good reason," Raven continued, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "The Will of D…"
"What is going on here?!" Law roared, silencing the chatter. The crew scrambled to their feet, mumbling excuses before scurrying back inside the sub.
The only ones remaining were Shachi, Penguin, Bepo, and a smug Raven. Law ran a hand through his hair, frustration etched on his face. "I thought you two would have learned your lesson by now," he grumbled, glaring at Shachi and Penguin. "And Bepo…" He paused, taking a deep breath. "Actually, you're fine."
Bepo offered a sheepish smile as the two swordsmen shrunk back under their Captain's scrutiny.
"We're keeping watch over her," Penguin mumbled defensively.
Law's gaze flickered back to Raven, his anger simmering beneath the surface. Something in the distance caught Raven's eye before she sauntered towards the Captain. "It's fine, Law," she purred, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. "I didn't tell them anything you wouldn't want them to know."
She turned to the remaining crew, flashing a dazzling smile. "Thank you for your hospitality, gentlemen." She bowed slightly, her voice taking on a theatrical tone. "This was a fascinating experience. I promise this won't be the last."
With a playful wink, she darted across the deck, leaving a trail of bewildered pirates in her wake. Just as they were about to give chase, Raven reached the edge of the ship and leaped over the railing.
The three pirates rushed to the edge, peering over in time to see a small rowboat, carrying Raven and another woman. The boat quickly steered towards a larger ship in the distance, which began firing cannons at the submarine.
"Shit!" Law cursed, ducking as a cannonball whizzed overhead. He reached into his pocket, his fingers brushing against a familiar, pulsing object. He pulled out Raven's heart, a cruel smile twisting his lips. He dug through his pocket pulling out the woman's heart, "Raven! I still have your heart! You're still my prisoner!" he shouted at the woman who was quickly disappearing.
"Keep it!" She shouted, "As a promise that we will meet again!"
Law squeezed the heart threatened and watched her fall to her knees confirming it was her heart. He let go freeing her, "I can kill you any time any anywhere!" he shouted.
The woman coughed up some blood but smiled, "But you won't"

Trials of the Cloaking Brooch
░ Chapter 2 ░
Chapter 1 Chapter 2

---
April finished her Interview with Alsie, so the two make their way out of the office to find Leo jumping up and down and cheering with one of the other club's officers. April smiled to see him making friends so quickly. Leo was the most social of the turtles the others were fine with being in the sewers away from the outside world she could always tell Leo felt otherwise despite the mask he puts up.
"Leo! let's go," April waved for Leo to follow her. Leo immediately nodded before shaking the hand of everyone and then grabbing the deck he received from Alsie. He then skipped his way over to April.
"LEO! Will you be at our next meeting?!" One of the officers yelled as they left. Leo turned around to see the other officers waiting for his answer and Alsie leaning back in the doorway to the connecting office smiling an approving smile as she awaited his answer. Upon seeing her Leo straightened up with a large smile.
"You can count on it!" He shouted in response before spinning back around and out the door with April.
"You look like you had fun today," April remarked looking at his large smile.
"I didn't realize this nerd game was some much fun!" He exclaimed holding up his new deck of cards.
April laughed at his excitement happy to see him so happy, "so you never told me where you got this brooch?" She questioned looking at the golden star-shaped brooch that hide under his blue jacket.
Leo looks down at it almost forgetting that it was there, "oh I found it by a dumpster." He shrugged before turning his attention back to his deck of cards.
"Weird those things are pretty expensive. I wonder if the person who lost it is looking for it?" April wonders out loud grabbing the brooch to investigate it.
Leo quickly yanked the brooch out of her hand defensively, "well finders keepers!"
April yanks her hand towards her chest and stops walking surprised at his sudden defensive behavior but Leo keeps walking down the street ignoring her confused stares. Out of the corner of his eye, Leo saw something to change the current subject. A smile appeared on his face as he looked inside the human pizza place and sees his human reflection standing in the crowded restaurant waiting in line. Everyone around his reflection was laughing and smiling with their friends and family enjoying pizza while he stood there with them.
"Let's grab a slice for Los hermanos!" He shouted, without even waiting for April he runs into the restaurant and joins the queue. He looks around giddily as no one even glanced in his direction or flinched at his appearance.
April was not far behind him joining him in line, Leo leans over to whisper to her, "can you believe it April no one is looking weirdly at me and I don't have to wear a funky disguise or anything!" His smile beamed, lighting up the room. April smiles letting him enjoy himself as he looks around at everyone.
When they finally reached the counter the tired teenager barely looked up at Leo before asking for his order, Leo cheerfully ordered six pizzas for his brothers, splinter and April. They finally left the restaurant with six pizza boxes as Leo skipped to the nearest entrance to the sewers.
He lifted the manhole for April to begin her climb down before following carefully closing the manhole cover. Once they reach the bottom April started to make her way towards the lair only for Leo to quickly grab her by the shoulder she looked up at Leo who let off a serious tone but his eye held a pled to them "Can you promise not to tell my brothers?" He asked.
April gave a soft smile and responded with a nod after today she can see how happy being a normal human has made him feel. Knowing his brothers they will probably be a little hurt by how much fun he had today being a normal human and not a mutant turtle or they will try and steal the brooch from him.
Leo smiled at her response before taking off the brooch and returning to his turtle form. He looked down at the golden star when shifting it in his hand his reflection changed from his human form to his turtle form, he smiled happily before placing it in his side pouch for safekeeping.
As the two approached the lair Leo immediately shouted, "PIZZA!" and the three brothers came running out of their spaces and into the center space immediately grabbing a pizza box of their own and digging in. Splinter slowly walked out of the living room to join the boys, and April as they all sat on the floor telling each other about their day, everyone but Leo. Donnie looked over at his usually talkative twin smiling as he half listens to Raph's team training ideas and half looked at the pizza thinking about something.
**Next day (Wednesday)**
All four of the brothers were in Donnie's Lab today working on projects, Mikey and Donnie were working together on a project over by Donnie's desk. Raph and Leo were using one of Donnie's whiteboards to plan out some combo moves that will work well with all of their mystic powers and Donnie's tech.
Donnie looked over at Raph and Leo to see they had one and a half boards filled with drawings and figures. But Donnie noticed something off about his twin as he began fidgeting in his seat, his foot tapping like crazy and he kept checking the time. Donnie raised an eyebrow and opened his mouth ready to ask his brother what was wrong when Leo jumped out of his seat and grabbed the expo marker out of Raph's hand. Leo scribbled on the board as he spoke a mile a minute about some kind of combo move. Ralph took a step back in confusion as Leo filled the remaining bit of the board.
Once Leo finished he place the marker down before clapping his hand together, "alrighty well now that that is done I'm going to go get some fresh air!" He announced before disappearing out of the Lab leaving the three brothers confused. Raph shot a look at Donnie almost to ask him I'd he knew what was going on, he shrugged before standing up to follow his twin.
"Wait, Donnie! What if we do this!" Mikey shouted before grabbing at some wires in their open project as soon as he did a small explosion sent him flying out of his seat both Raph and Donnie went running to his side forgetting about the oddity of their other brother's exit.
Leo first ran to his room to grab his magic deck before skipping to the ladder that lead out of the sewer and reaching for the broach in his pouch. He secured it to his chest and then looked down at his ten fingers and glanced down at the sewer water to confirm his human reflection. He smiled and gave himself a wink before climbing out of the sewer.
He made it to the school just in time for the bell to ring and students began filing out of the school as he shuffled past everyone and followed the path April lead him down yesterday to the room MTG was hosted.
He turned the corner of the open door where Alsie and the three other MTG officers were gathered. The redheaded girl looked and smile at Leo, "welcome in Leo!" She greeted, "we are just going over meeting notes from yesterday give me a minute and I'll be right with you." She then diverted her attention back to the officers and their meeting which Left Leo to wander.
Leo made his way over to the back shelf where they kept the extra decks. He looked at the different color decks and grab the white deck with the lion on it. Opening up the deck he looked through the cards and what they do.
Alsie then snuck up behind him and slide her way beside him, her body angled towards him as she stood inches away from him, "I see you're looking at the white deck." She leans onto the counter and tilted her head to be completely in Leo's line of sight. Leo looked at her soft smile and nodded. "Did you want to play a round with the white deck then and I'll play the blue deck", she suggested as she reached for Leo's blue deck that he placed in front of him.
Behind them, the three officers broke into a fit of laughter causing Leo to turn around to look at them. The three boys were whispering to each other and all smiling and laughing while looking in Leo's direction. As soon as they made eye contact with Alsie they immediately stopped laughing and began giggling to themselves.
Alsie rolled her eyes and grabbed Leo's blue deck and two play mats and made her way over to an empty table. She placed the two mats down across from each other and sat down and began shuffling her deck. Leo quickly followed and mimic her shuffling. "Do I need to go over the rules again?" Alsie asked.
"Of course not I got this nerd game in the bag!" Leo says confidently.
Alsie giggles as she finishes her shuffle, "well then let's see what you got!"
**
"What!? How!?" Leo shouts as he stood up.
Alsie laughed at his frustration, "I told you I wasn't going to let you win this time."
Leo gained his composure back as he straightened himself and fixed his jacket. He shoved his hand in his pockets and leaned back, "pure luck next time I'll beat you!"
Alsie smirked tilting her head, "I look forward to it."
The officers began laughing again gaining Leo's attention once more. He looks over to see the three hovering over a computer making a flyer of some sort. They were making kissy faces at Alsie from behind Leo as soon as they realized Leo was looking at them they stopped and giggled to themselves again.
Alsie was glaring at them a fume of anger surrounded her, as soon as Leo looked back at her the anger dissipated and was replaced with a soft smile. "What's with them?" Leo whispers cupping his hand over his mouth to direct his question to Alsie.
Alsie shot a glare over in the boys' direction, "They are just really annoying!" She snarled. A beeping noise came from Leo's phone gaining his attention. He looked down to see it was now 4:30 and Donnie was asking where he is. Leo rubbed the back of his neck, "Gah it looks like I gotta go."
"Alrighty then," Alsie says as she begins picking up the cards. "Will you be coming back tomorrow?"
Leo brighten up at the invite, "of course so that I can beat you!" He challenges.
Alsie smiles, "Awesome I'll see you then."
Leo grabs both the blue and white deck and walks out of the room. as he leaves he can see from the corner of his eyes the three guys laughing as Alsie takes an empty deck box and pitches it at one of their heads.
**(Thursday)**
Leo thought sneaking out of the sewers would be easier today as all his brothers were in the arcade trying to beat Leo's impossible high score on the Atari Football game. Quietly snuck out of the arcade as his brothers cheered on his youngest brother Mikey as played the game.Leo first went into his room to grab his magic decks before heading to the sewer exit. Once he turn the corner he saw none other than his twin standing guard on the ladder. Leo fumbled trying to hide his decks behind his back. "Leo" Donnie welcome looking up to see his brother approaching.
"Donnie! What's up? My favorite twin!" Leo greets him with a large fake smile receiving a glare from his brothers.
"Alright, Leo what is going on?" Donnie interrogated he crossed his arms and stepped away from the ladder.
"Whatever do you mean?" Leo defended but his body tensed up.
Donnie shook his head and pinch the bridge of his nose, "Leo, you are a terrible liar. Just tell me what's going on."
"Nothing is going on my dear brother." Leo lied as his smile grew to mask his lie.
"Then where are you going?" Donnie pushed.
"Uhh, April's..." Leo lied again his hand clutching the decks which Donnie noticed. One of Donnie's metal arms shot out of his shell and sped to grab the items behind Leo's back before Leo can react it yanked the decks out of his hands.
"Magic the Gathering cards? Where are you playing magic?" Donnie questions while he investigates the decks.
"With April." Leo then makes his way over to Donnie grabbing the decks out of his hands, "April did this interview with the magic club and got into the game and then got me into the game" Leo then walks past Donnie and to the ladder, "so I'm meeting up with April so we can play."
Donnie didn't seem to like the answer but it was clear it was the only answer he was going to get out of his twin. So he watched as his brother climbed the ladder and out of the sewers.
Leo let out a breath of air once he made it to the surface and closed the manhole. He reached into his pocket and grabbed his clocking broach and place it on his chest before making his way to the school.
Leo opened the classroom door to see Alsie sitting on top of a desk next to an unfamiliar guy."That's her Ex-boyfriend." Someone whispered next to Leo causing him to jump. He looked over to see one of the officers Leo known as charlie, he was the youngest out of the group being a freshman to everyone's senior he had brown hair and was as skinny as they come. He was sitting at the desk close to the doorway with his laptop open working on some kind of homework. Leo walks over taking a seat next to him the other two people in the room haven't taken notice of Leo's entrance.
"Where is everyone else?" Leo asked.
Charlie just shrugged, "it's Thursday not everyone hangs out today unless they need to work on something or if you're like me and stuck waiting for your cousin to give you a ride home."
"Alsie is your cousin?" Leo questioned but just received a nod from Charlie as he continues his work.
Leo looks up at the couple on the other end of the room with their back facing him. He wore a football shirt and his arms looked like they were about to tear apart with how big his muscles were. He had a notebook out that he was jotting down notes and Alsie was pointing to things in the book and explaining whatever she was pointing to. Leo tried his best to listen to what they were saying but to no avail.
"What are they talking about?" Leo ask Charlie who looked up for a second to analyze what his cousin was doing.
"Most likely football plays, Alex is the quarterback and there is a game tomorrow. Alsie is good at strategizing so he likes to get her opinion on plays." Charlie replied before returning to his homework.
"Football you say." Leo ponder with a grin before he stood up and started making his way over to the couple.
"Hey, Alsie!" Leo waved as he walked over to them.
Alsie jumped up at her name and turned to see Leo. As soon as she locked eyes with Leo she jumped off the desk and away from her Ex, "Leo you came!" She said happily.
"Of course, I told you I was going to beat you at magic today," Leo responded cheekily. "What are you two up to?"
"Alex is the quarterback and he came by to run some plays by me," Alsie explain and pointed to the notebook with X's and O's and arrows.
"I'm trying to come up with something new because the team we are playing against tomorrow has all our plays memorized," Alex explains as he hits the notebook in frustration.
"Football plays you say," Leo says as he rubs his chin and gives a cheeky grin, "lucky for you I'm just the man to help with that!" He then snatches the notebook out of Alex's hand and began writing. "Just this morning I got a score of 99 to 0 on Atari Football a perfect score, so your looking at the king of awesome football plays!" Leo gloats as he filled the notebook with 4 unique plays before handing it back to Alex.
Alex and Alsie looked over the plays making a few comments about what players would do best with the different plays before Alex snapped the book closed, "wow Leo this may work!" He pats Leo hard on the back, "thanks, my dude!"
Leo flicked his hair and stood proudly, "it's only right of me to share my amazing gifts!"Alex broke out laughing patting Leo's back with every laugh, "you're real funny my dude!" He then grabbed all his stuff, swinging his bag onto his shoulder leaving the second strap hanging, "I gotta go show this to coach but I'll see you at the game right, Leo!"
Leo smiled, "yeah sure!" He then turned to Alsie who grinned at him before jumping into the desk.
"I didn't know you knew football, I thought all you homeschool kids ever did was study and watch TV." She laughs.
"Well my brothers and I have an Atari system and the football game just so happens to be my favorite," Leo explains all of a sudden getting flustered.
"That's so cool, how many brothers do you have?" She asked leaning closer to be more engaged with their conversation.
"Well I have an older brother Raph, my twin Donnie, and my little brother Mikey," Leo stated and counted on his fingers. He quickly had to fix himself as he went to the other hand to count the third brother instead of pointing up three fingers on one hand. He is still not quite used to having five fingers instead of three.
"Oh wow, that's a lot! I bet your parents have a handful," she exclaims.
"How about you do you have any siblings?" Leo asked.
"Nope, it's just me and my pops. What are your brothers like?" She questions diverting the conversation back to Leo.
"Well Raph is big and strong always coming up with the plans, Donnie is super techy, and Mikey is very artistic. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only brother that doesn't have anything going for them." Leo confesses.
"Honestly thought you would be the one making all the plans?"
"Well I do on occasion but since Raph is the oldest everyone listens to him."
"Interesting well if it's anything I think you're super cool and smart, not a lot of people can think up such unique strategies and that makes you super cool." Alsie smiles flirty at him immediately sending making Leo's head explodes as blood flushes to his face.
Leo stamped rubbing the back of his neck thinking of what to say next when he looks slightly out the window to see none other than Donnie flying past the window. Leo froze as he watched all three of his brothers chasing after something in front of the school.
Alsie noticed Leo's gaze and followed it upon seeing the mutant turtles she jumped up in delight and ran to the window. "Oh, mi gosh! It's the mutant turtles!" She shouted excitedly gaining Charlie's attention who ran to the window to join her.
"I uh got to go!" Leo tries to excuse himself.
"Wait! Before you leave I have a question" Alsie demanded, "would you like to..." She rubbed her arm for support, "would you like to go to the football game with me tomorrow?"Leo shot her a wide smile, "yeah, that would be cool." Leo then made his b-line after his brothers.

---
Leo was bored and looking for something to do. He peaked his head into Donnie's lab to see him typing away at his computer very much in the zone. Leo has learned his lesson by now not to mess with his brother when he is in the zone. He quickly wandered away in search of his other brothers, Ralph wasn't hard to find as he was in the dojo punching at the punching bag and just like his other brother completely in the zone. Mikey was a bit harder to find as he hide in the corner of the living room with his sketchbook doodling away and once again in the zone.
Leo sighed in the defeat of finding something to do with his brother when his stomach let out a very loud grumble. Leo looked down at his stomach before looking back at all his brothers when an idea popped into his head. 'if I'm hungry my brothers most definitely are, I should go get pizza for everyone!' His mind was made and he left the sewers.
Leo strutted his way to the graffitied wall that held the portal to 'the Run of the Mill pizza play' when he saw something glimmer out the corner of his eye. He leaned back to get a better view to see some kind of gem hiding behind a trash bin. He lingers over to investigate only to see a lost clocking brooch. He has seen many of these but was never able to get his hands on one due to the costly price that came with the brooch and the comfort he has with his current living arrangements. Timidly he picks it up and twirls it in his fingers only to realize that he no longer had 3 green fingers but 5 human skin-toned fingers his eyes glanced up at the semi-reflective trashcan to see a human form staring back at him.
As he was about to investigate more, a beep from his phone catered his attention. it was a snap from April to the group chat with her and his brothers. He opened it up to see her lying on a desk with the caption "I'm sooooo bored." He glanced back up at the human reflection and an evil glint appeared in his eyes. He stood up put his phone back in his pocket and began his walk to April's school forgetting completely about his pizza plans.
It was nearing 3:30 when he arrived at the school as the bell had just rung and the students began filing out. Leo's initial reaction is to hide as he ducked behind a lamp post but quickly revived curious looks. He was used to having people look at him weirdly but this was different none of the looks had any malic or grossed looks behind them only curious like they were curious about the way a teen would be trying to hide behind a lamp post. Leo looked back down at his hand and outfit and reassured himself that he looked human. He laughed at himself before confidently jumping out from behind the post and into the courtyard.
His smile radiated the entire area as he waved at people passing by and shooting finger guns at the cute girls. As he was giving a wink to one girl he didn't notice the person carrying way too many books in front of him. The two collapsed into each other and fell back, books falling around them. Leo rubbed his head as he looked up at the person who he ran into only to see his very good friend April O'Neil.
He enthusiastically jumped up grabbing April's books as fast as he could, "April!" He shouted in glee.
April's face converted from an expression of anger to recognition to confusion as she looked up at the strange boy who said her name in a tone she recognized. "Do I know you!" She responded sassily and grabbed the books back from Leo.
Leo's smile grew, "April it's me, Leo!" April's face then turned to shock as she dropped her books again and jumped into investigating. She moved around him so fast taking in every detail. "Can't get over my good looks huh!" Leo taunts flicking his newfound hair out of his face.
"How are you? What! Why!" April began questioning adjusting her glasses to be sure she was not seeing things.
"I found a clocking brooch!" Leo stated proudly, "Now you can hang with your favorite bro." He flicked his hair once more.
A mischievous glint flashed in her eye, "You know I actually have something I can use your help with" April grabbed his wrist and pulled him into the school building. Leo attempted to grab as many of her books off the floor as he could before getting yanked away.
They finally stopped at a locker that April quickly opened and grabbed her books out of Leo's hand and threw them into the locker. As soon as the door to the locker opened Leo was immediately memorized as he looked at the mirror and fully saw himself.
He shared many characteristics of Lou Jitsu which is to be expected. He has dark black hair that mostly fits into a very loose ponytail but has strands framing his face and he shares the same pointy chin as his father. As for his outfit wore a black tee shirt and black jeans with a baby blue bomber jacket on top.
Leo leaned in closer to admire all his new features and kept poking at his hair, his baldness was something he grew used to but he was always jealous of the human's long hair.
April closed the locker diverting his attention back to her who currently looks annoyed since he was talking while he was admiring himself.
"As I was saying!" She complained, "I really need to interview the MTG club for the school paper but the president refuses to let me interview them until I beat them at a game. I was going to get Donnie to teach me how to play but since you are a master strategist you might be able to help me right now."
Leo looked at her confused with a raised eyebrow, "the what club?" April just rolled her eyes and grabbed his wrist again dragging him down the hall.
They stopped when they reached a classroom filled with students chatting and shuffling cards. April immediately made a B-line to the back of the room where a small group was chatting among themselves on top of the tables. As soon as the group of teens saw April approaching the red-headed girl in the center stood up facing April with her arms crossed. April reached her hand out, "Alsie, I'm April O'Neil and I am here to talk to you about an interview for the school paper about your school."
"April I know who you are and why you are here, we legit talked last period about this." The redhead raised her eyebrow and smirked clearly humored by April's introduction. "Are you ready to play?"
"Actually I will not be facing you but my friend Leo will!" April then pulls Leo in front of her. Leo flashes a big smile and reaches his hand out.
The redhead looked at him questioning before shaking his hand, "I haven't seen you around here?"
"That's cause he is.. homeschooled!" April quickly thought up an excuse. Alsie nodded in understanding.
"Well, it doesn't matter to me who plays." She shrugged and looked over at Leo, "Do you have a deck?" Leo just gave a simple shake of a head confused at what she was talking about she smiled anyway and gestured to one of her friends to hand her a deck, "Let's go with an all-blue deck." he nodded and went to the back of the room where they had free decks of cards sitting.
"Since it's your first time I'm going to go easy and play my all-red deck," she said as she reached in her back grabbing a deck of cards and then leading them over to a table with two play mats already rolled out. "Magic the Gathering is really simple to play. Imagine you're the grand battle commander, and your creatures are your frontline. Any monsters you have on the table can defend you. As well as creature cards, you'll also have an array of spells, artifacts, enchantments, and more. Everything is powered by your lands, or mana if you will.
The goal is to kill each other, each of us will start with 20 health points. At the start of every turn, you will want to place down a land card if possible. At the top of each card is the amount of mana you will need to summon the card and the only way you get mana is by the number of lands you have. To use any cards you will tap the card by turning it sideways this is also how you keep track of how much mana you have used." She explained as she shuffled her deck by placing the cards down in random order into seven different piles Leo took his deck and mimicked her.
She then handed him a black card with the words, 'On Your Turn' written on top. "This will help you understand how to play. on your turn there are 5 phases, the first is the Beginning first you untap all your tapped cards, and you then must draw a card from your deck. The second phase is your main phase this is when you can cast sorceries, instants, creatures, artifacts, enchantments, etc. You can also activate any abilities, just as long as you have enough mana. Next is combat, where you can decide if any of your untapped creatures can attack, at the bottom of each creature card are its power and defense, the power is the number of points a creature can deal and the defense is how much it can block. Note when you first summon a creature you will have summoning sickness and will not be able to attack until the next round. Next is the second main phase this happens after I declare if I am blocking or using any intents and you can cast any spell or activate abilities. The final phase is the end step this is you declaring that your turn is done." She finished explaining as she placed her now shuffled deck in the corner of her play mat and Leo copied, "Get it?" Leo smiles and nods as both he and her pull 7 cards from their deck.
"I'll let you go first," She offers and Leo looks at his deck and pulls out an island land, passing his turn.
She then pulls out mountain land followed by a 1/1 Tin Street Cadet. Leo places another island and places a 2/1 Waterkin Shaman with flying and a +1/+1 whenever another creature with flying enters. She places another Mountain and attacks with her Tin Street Cadet which states 'Whenever Tin Street Cadet becomes blocked, create a 1/1 red Goblin creature token.'
'that's just like the mutant silverfish' Leo thinks, 'if I block it it will create another' he allows the creature to attack taking 1 health. Leo then places his land and another Waterkin Shaman and decides to attack with his Waterkin and she takes 2 damage.
"Bo ya!" He shouted in victory, "Looks like you're getting watered down!" He quips gaining a smile from Alsie.
On her turn, she summons a land and a 2/2 Spellgorger Weird which gains +1/+1 when she cast a noncreature spell. she then attacks again with her Tin Street Cadet and Leo takes the hit once again. Leo cast land and a 2/1 Cloudkin Seer which gives him another card and adds +1/+1 to his Waterkin since the Cloudkin has flying. He takes advantage and attacks with both his Waterkins. She blocks one with her Spellgurger destroying one of his Waterkins and the Spellgurger but he took 3 damage from her with the second Waterkin.
Leo fistbumps April excited at his lead Alsie giggles at his excitement before placing another land and another 2/2 Spellgorger and attacks with her Tin Street Cadet taking a point off Leo. Leo then places another land and summons a Windstorm Drake which gives all his creatures flying +1/+0 and since it has flying it also gives his Waterkin +1/+1. He attacks with both his 3/2 Waterkin and 3/1 Cloudkin. She blocks the Waterkin with her Spellgorger destroying both but takes the 3 damage from the Cloudkin which she is unable to block due to its flying.
With her limited cards, she places a land and passes her turn. Leo ran out of his lands but taped two lands to cast a Glint Instant on his Cloudkin to give it +0/+3 not that he needed to as both his creatures have flying and were able to attack her dealing 6 damage leaving her with 6 health remaining. Leo began cheering on his early victory. "Looks like you're in some hot water!" He quips again keeping with his water theme.
Alsie Then Plays her instant shock on him which deals him 2 damage and casts an Act of Treason Sorcery which takes control of one of his creatures takes his 3/3 Windstorm Drake and attacks him with her 1/1 cadet and his 3/3 Drake. She also Cast another shock Instant-on his Cloudkin to deal 2 damage to it. "All is fire in war" she laughs with her own pun.
"it's all water under the bridge," Leo said before pulling out his instant Glint to give his Cloudkin +0/+3 in an effort to save it but he still took the 4 attacks which brought his health down to 11. when he draw his new card he was happy to see another 2/1 Cloudkin which will also give him the ability to grab another card. which he got another land which he needed to cast Unsummon a card he has had in his hand since the beginning to take back his Cloudkin and resummon it to draw yet another card but he forgot to count his mana and was left with 2 mana left which the Cloudkin needs 3.
"Dang it" he cursed under his breath for making such a careless mistake, but he quickly recovered and attacked with both his 3/1 Cloudkin and his returned 3/3 Windstorm dealing Alsie a total of 6 damage and taking her out of the game. It took Leo to process his win before he jumped out of his seat cheering. "Looks like you have been wiped out! bo ya!" He jumped up and flicked his hair which sounded is his new favorite thing to do. April Jump up and down cheering him on.
Alsie giggled at his behavior, "I could tell you would like to blue deck." She commented as she began to put her deck away, "You look like someone who likes to think ahead and strategies. You pick up the game pretty well." she smiled at him which immediately caused him to blush in return. "Well, O'Neil I guess that completes your end of the deal now it's time for me to complete my end."
April pulls Leo into a hug before running over to Alsie with a pen and notebook. Alsie took a look over at Leo who was looking through the deck reading all the cards and what effects they have and began thinking of better strategies, Alsie smiled at his interest, " You can keep that deck if you want, and Leo you are welcome to join the MTG club we meet every Tuesday after school. Also, I am here every day after school if you want to play one-on-one again but next time I won't let you win." She winked before walking away with April.
"Let me win!" Leo retorted receiving a laugh from Alsie before she closed the door to the teacher's office for more privacy for April's interview. Leo then looks over at her fellow club officers for answers, "What does she mean by letting me win?!"
The officers shrugged before returning to their game. Leo wanders over to see their game, it looks much different than his game with Alsie, there are many more colors on the mats and many more creatures each with different effects. He looked around the room to see all the students invested in their battles some battles were one-on-one and some had four players.
The thing Leo took the most note of when looking around the room was how comfortable everyone was with him being in their presence and vice versa. The only times he gets these feelings are when he is with his brothers and sometimes when he is in the hidden city but this feels different he almost feels human. He smiled before sitting down next to one of the officers asking him questions about the game and watching him play. He kindly led him through everything and explained his every move.

Slight of Hands
Summary: A woman snuck her way onto the polar tang by tricking Shachi and Penguin but Law is quick to realize her antics.
A/N: idk I thought this was fun to write but may or may not continue it later 🤷🏼‍♀️ but if i do it will probably switch to 2nd POV. I was listening to the song Mine by Christina Perri when writing this and wanted a very flirty and sly vibe from this character.
Chapter 2
----
Law watched as his two closest crewmates, Shachi and Penguin, staggered to the Polar Tang dragging a beautiful woman beside them. They were full of giggles, waving their hands around as they introduced their sub.
Law's jaw clenched at the actions of his drunken crewmates claiming the sub as their own. When the two spotted the man on the deck, they ran up to him. "And thissss is our first mate Lawwww," Shachi announced, stumbling over his words. Law slapped the hand off his shoulder and glared at his crewmate.
Penguin leaned to his ear. "Captain, please go along. We are trying to impress her."
Law rolled his eyes before looking at the woman they were referring to. She stood tall and clearly not as drunk as the two who dragged her to this ship. Law smirked when he noticed a glint in her eyes, a familiar look. Most women with an innocent facade wouldn't come close to a pirate ship, but Law knew she had an ulterior motive.
The two boys jumped off Law and up to the woman who waited patiently. Excitedly, she followed behind as they started their tour of the sub. Law watched carefully, trailing them just out of earshot. As the three made their way through, Law smirked, proven right by the woman pocketing anything of value they passed.
When they finally left the sub, the woman left with a large, successful grin, waving goodbye to the boys who whined for her to stay.
Law sat on a crate just outside of his sub, a wide shit-eating grin plastered on his face. "So, how long have you been hustling them?" He asked with a snicker.
The woman snapped in his direction, her innocent expression falling and twisting into an evil smirk as her stance relaxed. "About three hours," she laughed. "I will admit, Law, I did need to get a few more drinks in your crew than I thought I would need."
Law stood up. "So you know who I am." He glared at her and she shrugged. "Either way, you might have fooled my crew, but not me." He gestured to her pockets. She feigned surprise, throwing her hands in her pockets only to pull out grains of rice. Law smirked. This whole time he had been using his Shambles ability to switch the valuables she stole with rice of equal weight.
Law watched her expression, hoping to see her look defeated. However, it never came. She began to laugh. "Ah, Law, if only that was what I was after!" She pulled out a Den Den Mushi and it flashed in his face, disorienting him.
Law rubbed his eyes before looking up to see the woman gone. His amused face dropped to frustration. "Shachi! Penguin!" He yelled. The two poked their heads over the deck, "You brought a damn Marine spy on the sub!" The two immediately started shrinking away from his glare.
Law used his power to transport the two to the ground in front of him where they collapsed on each other. "Go fix it!" He yelled, scaring the two to their feet and running down the street.
A laugh echoed from an alley across the way. "Is that what you think I am?"
Law reached for his Kikoku pulling it out of its scabbard. The woman leaned on the wall of the alley, "I guess your not too far off though." She laughed and his head began to swim with theories on who the woman worked for.
She spun around to walk away but Law shambled himself in front of her stopping her in her tracks. Instead of jumping back from the threatening man she leans towards him. She brushed her hand over his cheek. "You're very cute when you're threatened." She laughs confusing Law before she dances around him and kicks him in the back.
Law falls forward cursing himself for allowing her to sneak by him. He whipped around to find her gone again. A whistle from above him drew his attention to the roof of the building where the woman waved at him with a grin.
Law clenched his jaw before transporting himself to the roof behind her. She jumped up and started to balance on the edge. "Who do you work for?" Law questioned.
"Aw look at you finally asking the real questions." she laughed, "Wait hold that look!" she pulled out her snail and snapped another photo blinding him. Law rubbed his eyes and he heard her laugh echo around him, "Oh that's a keeper, you look like a wet cat."
The veins on Law's forehead began to throb with his anger. "Scaple!" he shouted pointing in the direction he last heard the womans voice.
"op you missed." she taunted as Law regained his vision and his eyes danced around the roof unable to find the woman. "Thanks for the information Trafalgar D. Water Law." the voice echoed.
The name she voiced ranged through Law's ears. He has only told a few people his full name how did she find it? His thoughts spiraled and his vision grew red.
"Tack!"
Everything around the roof that was inside his 'room' began to float. The woman yiped as she was pulled into the air off the porched she jumped down to.
"Scaple!"
Law pointed his sword at her chest and her heart popped out of her chest, in a blue cube. The woman tried to grab her heart back but was held in place in the air as the heart floated into Law's hand.
As soon as the heart landed in his hand he dropped everything and the woman landed on the roof. She landed with a thud and a groan reaching for the new whole in her chest. "What the hell!" she shouted at the man who stood triamplely above her.
"Where did you learn that name." he growled.
The woman tsk, "I won't tell." Law looked down at her angrily before squeezing the heart slightly causing the woman to scream in pain and collapse to the ground. She looked up and snarled at the man, "I've been doing my research."
Law frowned not liking the answer and squeezing the heart again, "Where?!" he growled.
The woman screamed again, "Flevance records!" she shouted and collapsed in relief from Law releasing her heart. She looked up with pleading eyes clutching her chest.
The man loomed over her with daggers in his eyes. With a flick of his wrist, the woman was knocked out collapsing to the roof in a restful manner.

Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Summary: You have always itched for adventure and when an interesting vessel appears you take your chance and jump aboard.
Trafalgar Law x reader
---
You sat on the railing separating the dock from the town as boredom gnawed at you. Your island sat in North Blue right before the entrance to the grand line and was renowned for its vibrant dyes and delectable berries. No one of interest ever arrived at your town except for the few Marines who swagger through town, restocking before their journeys into the Grand Line. At least until today.
A peculiar yellow vessel, unlike any you'd ever seen, sliced through the turquoise water. It was a ship? Emblazoned on its side was a jolly roger – a smiley face with 6 lines radiating from it. It was an odd jolly Roger not having cross bone many have but there was no doubt in your mind that it was a pirate ship. Your heart hammered against your ribs with a thrill you hadn't felt in years.
With a surge of adrenaline, you vaulted over the wooden railing and stalked toward the docked vessel. An interesting crew disembarked, all clad in white jumpsuits emblazoned with the same smiley face insignia as their vessel. Behind the crew trailed a man with a brooding expression and a floppy white hat perched on his head, sported a yellow hoodie, and held a large sword resting it on his shoulder. He must be the captain you thought as you watched him approach the dockhand and pulled out a pouch of coins.
With a mischievous grin, you climbed aboard the deserted vessel. Your fingers traced the cool, smooth metal of the hull, a stark contrast to the sun-baked wood of the other ships that you have seen. Peeking through a porthole, you gasped. Unlike any ship you'd ever seen, the interior was a labyrinth of gleaming corridors and unique technology.
"What do you think you're doing!?" A voice boomed from behind you. You spun around to find the captain glaring at you from across the ship.
Ignoring his scowl, bounced over to him, "I'm joining your crew!" You state joyfully before running around the man taking in his features.
"Like hell you are!" He growled as tried to turn around to face you.
"But it will be so much fun!" You jump onto his shoulders forcing him to stumble forward, overwhelmed by your boundless enthusiasm.
You push off the man and run toward the door leading to the inside of the vessel. "Hey! Stop!" The man yells at you running after you as you laugh running through the halls.
"What kind of ship is this!?" you question excitably as your fingers brush against any buttons they can find.
"It's not a ship it is a submarine." The man groaned breathlessly as he chased after you, "ROOM! Shambles!"
You were transported into arm's range of the man who grabbed your collar holding you still, "I don't know who you are but you are NOT joining my crew! And you are DONE poking around my sub!" His face grew red with anger as he spit in your face.
Undeterred, you flashed him your most innocent smile, deploying your best weapon, your puppy-dog eyes. His face twisted in discomfort by your expression. He quickly banished you from the vessel with a sigh and a flick of his wrist, transporting you back to the dock.
You pouted at your removal from the ship but decided that you were not done with the pirate crew and you ran into town finding your makeshift home on the roof of the town bar. You had a small cloth that made a tent to protect you from the elements it was not much but you called it home. The biggest benefit is that it was easy to pack up and you threw all your items into a worn leather satchel. Nestled amongst your meager belongings, lay a pristine sketchbook, its pages blank and waiting to be filled with the extraordinary tales you were about to tell
Returning to the docks you perched yourself on top of a barrel with a determined glint in your eye, you unstrapped your satchel and flipped open the sketchbook. The first page remained stubbornly blank, a canvas for the adventures to come.
Suddenly, a booming voice echoed from below, "Whoa, is that the Polar Tang?!"
You peered over the edge to see three figures approaching the docks. One is a tall man with a killer whale hat and a mischievous grin, beside him an impossibly cute polar bear mink, and a third man with a penguin perched atop his head.
"Is that what she's called?" you hummed, pencil hovering over the page. The three men crowded around you, mesmerized as you began sketching the submarine with a practiced hand. Each stroke brought the Polar Tang to life, capturing the sleek lines and the details you'd absorbed during your brief exploration.
"You're really good!" Shachi exclaimed, his eyes wide with admiration.
"Amazing!" Bepo echoed, tilting his head to get a better look.
You grinned, a surge of pride warming your chest. "Thanks! Are you part of her crew?"
"That's right! We are the heart Pirates" Shachi confirmed, puffing out his chest. "I'm Shachi. This furry fellow is Bepo, and that's Penguin over there."
"And who is your captain?" You question curiously.
"Trafalgar Law." He responded with joy, "And who might you be?"
Your grin grew as you pulled your attention away from your sketch, "I'm Y/n! And I am joining your crew!"
The three pirates were taken aback by your bold statement and looked at each other in concern. But upon their lips, a smile grew and they all began to laugh. "And what will you be doing on our ship Y/n?" Shachi asked in between laughs.
"I'm going to capture your adventure! I am going to document the new era and I have a feeling your crew will be a large part of it!" You smiled as you spoke of your dreams with an unfeathered confidence.
"Well let me be the first to welcome you to the crew!" Shachi laughed smacking your back while grinning.
When Law emerged from the submarine he was surprised to find you surrounded by his entire crew admiring your work as Bepo posed in front of you as you added his addition to your journal. Upon seeing Law Bepo waved, "Captain! Have you met Y/n! She is going to record our adventures!"
Law's eye twitched. "New crewmate?" he sputtered, incredulous.
You, however, remained unfazed. With a confident smile, you flipped to the first page of the sketchbook and presented it to Law. On the first page, the Polar Tang gleamed in all its glory.
"I'm going to record your adventures," you declared, your voice ringing with conviction. Law stared at the drawing, then back at you.
He saw the spark of determination in your eyes, and a reluctant sigh escaped his lips. Shachi's and Penguin's enthusiastic endorsement and Bepo's silent plea with his puppy-dog eyes only sealed your fate.
"Fine," Law grumbled, his voice laced with resignation. "But don't get yourself killed."
As the Polar Tang submerged, plunging into the cool depths, you clutched your sketchbook, your mind already brimming with stories waiting to be told. From the electrifying battles you'd witness to the hilarious antics of the crew, you'd capture it all. The blank pages were no longer empty; they were a promise, a pact with adventure.

A/N: Same topics as the previous chapter but if I were to title this Chapter I would call it Robin's and Sanji's therapy session.
---
As you sit in your thoughts a new figure joins. Sanji announced his presence by offering tea to the two beautiful ladies. Robin smiled taking the cup off the tray and grabbing the other to hand to you. You curl out of your ball and nervously take the cup.
Sanji lowers himself opposite to you and Robin leaning on the railing. You sighed, the sound heavy with the weight of the impending interrogation. You didn't try to leave this time excepting your faith. Sanji pulled out his cigarette blowing out a puff of smoke, "So how are you doing now?" He asked with concern laced in his voice.
"Why are you two so concerned for me?" You finally asked as you watched the two exchange glances.
Sanji sighed, "Let's just say we both can't help but feel a tinge of familiarity." seeing him act so seriously in front of women was unusual but something about this topic brought out a rarely seen side of him.
You look down at the warm tea in front of you understanding his words. "I don't want to die… At least I don't think I do." you spoke, "I don't know what came over me. I just want to protect what I do have now."
"Regaining all your memories at once is probably not helping," Robin stated, "You have a lot to sort through."
You nod in agreeance, "Why don't you tell us what you remember to sort it out." Sanji spoke up.
You sigh, "I never lost my memories of my time before the heart pirates. My mother's death… then being sold by my stepmother into the cruel world of the auction… the time with my first master. I was forced to forget escaping and running into Law and the warmth I found with Law and the Heart Pirates. Their acceptance, their love… it helped me heal, piece by shattered piece. I miss them." You pause as you think about your crew.
"My escaped gnawed at my master, his possessiveness refusing to let me go. He eventually tracked me down connecting me with the Heart Pirates. When I revealed to Law that my master was connected to Doflamingo he was covered with fear. Law never spoke of his past with Doflamingo just that he had one and my powers told me that he was filled with an unspoken terror. To protect Law from facing the man before he was ready, I fled to Amazon Lily, the island where we took your captain after Marineford."
"Amazon Lily?!" Sanji growled, "That bastard was on the Amazon Lily!" His glare shoots towards his captain full of jealousy and envy.
"Sanji," Robin warned causing the chef to refocus on your story.
You continued your story as your mind flashed to your capture.
---
Panic pulsed through the air as the island buzzed with desperate energy and Amazonian warriors prepared for battle. A rumor that a foreign ship has been spotted outside the island struck your attention. You wanted to run toward the forming battlefield but the pirate empress herself stopped you, "No," She commanded, "Go to your room. I have a bad feeling about this battle."
You disappeared to your room as told before the foreigners forced their way onto the island. You listen closely as the foreigners force their way into the throne room of the palace where Hancock waited.
"Hello, Hancock!" The intruder greeted.
"Men are not allowed on my island Doflamingo," Hancock spoke aggressively.
"Oh, Hancock let's skip that part and make a deal warlord to warlord," Doflamingo spoke sending chills down your spine. Hancock did not give the man a response that you can sense had upset him. "I know that after the battle of Marine Fort, you aided and harbored a particular pirate a Monkey. D Luffy"
You sensed Hancock's stress grow at the mention of Luffy's name but knowing her she is hiding it well. "I don't know what you are referring to."
The man laughed, "I personally don't care about your reasoning but I think the government might. No, what I care about is the fact that Trafalgar Law was with the straw hat pirate at the time."
Your heart dropped at the mention of Law's name.
"I learned that a crew member of his has taken refuge here."
"Get off my island Doflamingo!" Hancock shouted standing her ground.
"Ah, so she is here." Doflamingo laughed, "I'll make a deal with you. I will keep your secret from the Marines if you give me the girl."
Boa did not respond and instead, you start hearing the start of a fight. You sense 5 other people enter the palace. You begin to hear the starting of a battle as the Amazons fend off the intruders. As you focus on the intruders with your Haki you almost miss your door slamming open revealing Marguerite. "Y/N we need to get you out of here!" She shouted and you nodded.
Unfortunately, her shout drew the attention of one of the intruders you sense the intruder's path changing to your room and you pull Marguerite to the ground before a cannon is shot through the door, flying over your head and destroying the wall to the outside.
You turn around to see a young woman with long black hair and a cannon for an arm. You jumped up and pulled Marguerite out of the new hole in the wall. Instead of falling down to the ground with Marguerite, you cling to the wall. "What are you doing?" She hissed from the ground behind a bush.
"keep running I'll be there in a second." You hissed back and she nodded running off making the bushes shift. The woman who attacked you walked up to the hole watching the Amazon run away. She holds her arm out to aim and you take your chance. You grabbed onto her arm and forced her to feel an intense fear. She screams and holds her head seemingly going through a mental break.
You jumped off the wall and to the ground to catch up with Marguerite. The two of you took off through the forest a more familiar land for you to hide and defend. You met up with a few more Amazons who were ready to help defend you from the intruders.
You all took to the trees shooting down any intruder with Haki-filled arrows. You also got the opportunity to use your new use for your power by coating your arrows with a mist of emotions that will cause your targets to fall to whichever emotion you filled them with. You all held your own quite well not allowing any intruders to make it far into the forest or to leave to inform their leaders of your location.
A loud boom echoed through the forest changing the tides of your fight. Above you, strings began to stretch down surrounding the island. Arrows made of string began to fall from the sky striking down the Amazons that surrounded you. They fell from the trees when they were hit and you rushed to the ground after them.
As you tended to one of the Amazon Marguerite came up behind you aiming her arrow at you. Her scream gave you enough time to dodge her attack rolling to the side. You looked at the haki-filled arrow nailed deep into the ground where you once were.
"Marguerite what's happening?!" You shout at her as she starts to cry while aiming another arrow at you.
"Get out of here!" She shouted as you shuffled to your feet you felt her fear and knew you needed to follow her words. Before you got a chance to run a hand wrapped around your ankle. You looked down to see the Amazon you were just tending to hold you in place.
The feeling of fear and confusion filled the air as all the Amazons started to stand up. They all drew their bows at you. They all shouted at you to run away before firing at you.
You shook off the hand on your ankle before you ran. Arrows flew past you not in the way that has when training but with aggression and thirst for blood.
You sent a mist of red fear in an attempt to steer the amazons away but when they ran through the mist they never stopped their chase but now showed more fear on their faces. You freeze in confusion as you watch the people you considered family for the past 8 months run at you with tears in their eyes.
In a moment of realization, you create a mist of calmness for the Amazons to run through. Their tears dried up and they looked at you in confusion as you stood in front of them no longer running from them.
You were immediately tackled to the ground and the snakes the Amazons held and boes turned into bondage. "Y/N! Why!" Marguerite cried running up behind the other Amazons not running through the mist you used to calm the other Amazons.
"I can't fight you." You sob on the ground, "You all helped me so much and I don't want you to feel guilty that something is forcing you to do this."
Marguerite cried as she was forced to punch you to knock you out.
When you woke up you were being dragged through the door of the palace with blood dripping down your chin. Marguerite was the one leading the way as the Amazons brought their prize to the Doflamingo all with stone-calmed faces except for Marguerite who had tears still falling down her face.
A chilling laugh echoed through the room as Doflamingo sprawled himself on Hancock's throne, her unconscious form lying beside him like a discarded doll. You scowl at the man when you are pushed to his feet. He reached down grabbed you by your neck and pulled you toward his face, "All of this fighting just for you." He spat in your face, "Pathetic."
You gather the blood in your mouth and spit it into his face. a vein throbbed on his forehead but he simply wiped the blood off his face with his hand and licked it off. "Oh, I will enjoy breaking you." He threw you off to the side.
He lifted his hand up and all the amazons fell uncautious being released from his control. The woman who attacked you earlier approached you holding chains which she placed on you removing the snake that was bounding you. As soon as the chains were placed on your hands you knew they were Sea Stone as you felt your energy sapping.
The man approached you grabbing you by the neck again pulling you off the floor. His eyes dart to your hip and you feel uncomfortable for the first time in the revealing outfits of the Amazon. He smiled seeing your tattoo that represented your freedom and place within the heart pirates but now felt like a target. "I see Law has placed his mark on you." he taunted.
He continued to hold you by your neck but lowered you to his ground as he dragged you out of the palace.
---
tears streamed down your face as you recalled the attack on Amazon Lily and your capture to Sanji and Robin, "At that point, I felt like I was just destined to be a tool."
Your sentence hit a cord with Sanji and Robin now understand why they both feel so similar to you.
The two waited patiently for you to continue your story. "He brought me back to Dressrosa and locked me in a cellar deep within the castle. The hardest part was when my old Master came to visit."
---
You sat in the cold cellar chained to the wall by a Sea Stone chain that locked to your neck; a full plate of food that you refused to touch hoping that at the very least you could starve yourself to death. The door creaked open and you looked up to see the figure of your old Master and his friend who had found you in a town and was your past abuser.
Fear grew within you as they approached you knowing you were stuck. You pushed yourself as far as you could into the wall in an attempt to create as much space between you as you could. Your master walked up to you with pretend worry in his eyes as he gently rubbed your cheek which was still swollen.
"What did they do to you." He complained as his eyes and fingers wandered over your figure still wearing the revealing clothing of the Amazons. When his eyes landed on your hip where his mark once sat now replaced with a heart tattoo. "What the hell is this!" He grabbed the skin of your hip causing you to yipe. He growled as he grabbed onto your cheeks, "You have no idea how kind I have been! I didn't destroy your body with a banding as everyone insisted instead I gave you a beautiful tattoo and this is what you do!" He tossed you to the side. You spit the dirt out of your mouth as you sit back up only to be kicked back down.
Your old master spits on you before whispering to his friend and leaving the room. His friend stepped forward punching his fist into his hand seeking his revenge for what Law had done to him. You noticed some features on his face were still not in the right place, his eyebrows were switched, and his thumbs were backward he looked like a Picasso piece. You couldn't help but snicker at the sight.
Smack…
You were kicked back into the wall as a punishment for your snicker.
---
Your voice cracked as you told your story and Robin pulled your head gently onto her shoulder for comfort. You sniffed away your tears, "Doflamingo would then come in and nurse me to health, he would tell me a story about how he could save me from my abusive master all I had to do was become a part of his family. At the same time, he was doing something to my memories." You instinctively rubbed the back of your neck where the strings were pulled out of your brain.
"After a week I agreed and I was made into the perfect servant for him." You hold your head blocking the expressions of the two pirates as you tear up. "One day he told me I was going on an important mission, to spy on Law."
You pull out the Vivre card that you kept in your pocket with the transponder snail you were too afraid to toss "He gave me a snail and told me he made me a Vivre card so he can come in a rescue me after my mission. and then… he gave me… his vivre card." You froze staring at the card. You thought it was a piece of your own card to give to Ceaser but it wasn't it was his card.
Sanji reached out for the piece of paper. "So this card is pointing to Doflamingo." He investigated it laying it flat on his palm and watching it point behind them.
Robin's concern deepened. "That might be helpful," she said, her voice laced with urgency. "Let's go tell the rest."
As you walk down the stairs with Robin, Law jumps up with concern upon seeing your face and runs up to you. You wipe your tears and grab his hand, "Law" your voice cracked, "I have some important information."
You pull out the snail and the Vivre card which sends Usopp and Nami into a panic as you tell Law that the snail is how you have been communicating with Flamingo and how he had made a Vivre card for you. You then tell him how this Vivre card isn't a piece of yours like you thought. It was his.
Law takes the card and looks at it carefully as it points in the direction of punk Hazard the island they just left. Law looks up to the skies and sighs with relief, "The skies are clear so he can't follow us. We should be careful from now on keeping y/n away from anything we don't him to find."
Your face turns to guilt which Luffy caught onto. "Don't worry, Y/N," His voice cutting through the tension, "by the end of tomorrow, he'll have no control over you." His words offered a sliver of hope, a promise that chased away some of the shadows clinging to your heart.
Sanji then announced himself in front of the kitchen door where he disappeared to, "Dinner is up!" The crew jumped up in excitement running to the kitchen. After the crew dispersed, you lingered behind with Law, your heart pounding in your chest.
He pulled you into a tight embrace, his warmth offering a comforting haven. Tears streamed down your face as you confessed, "I'm so sorry." Your voice trembled, filled with guilt and regret. "I should have told you sooner."
Law held you close, his touch calming the storm within you. You pulled back, your eyes searching his. "I tried to kill myself last night," you confessed, the words tumbling out in a rush. "I didn't want him to find us. I didn't want to ruin your plans any more than I already have…" Your voice broke, the pain threatening to consume you.
"I… I didn't want to be the reason you die," you choked out, burying your face in his chest. "The whole reason Doflamingo captured me, manipulated me, was to get to you. And I… I don't want that to happen. I… I love you."
Silence descended, thick and heavy. Then, Law gently lifted your chin, his gaze meeting yours. His eyes, usually stoic and unreadable, held a depth of emotion you had never seen before.
Law wiped away your tears and placed his forehead onto yours, "I know," he said simply.

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 11
A/N: I guess I should give a warning for this chapter. It is a heavy one that deals with depression, masking, and suicidal thoughts. These aren't conversations new to OP just new for me to write so ya... I hope y'all like it it was definitely not an easy one for me to write.
------
As you stared at the snail in your hands a small paper fell from the back band on the snail falling gracefully to the ground. A vivre card. You had a jolt of realization as you scrambled to your feet, head throbbing as a torrent of memories flooded back. Doflamingo's voice echoed in your skull, each cruel word a fresh blow to your reawakening self.
You pull yourself off the ground and hold your head as your thoughts race. A ringing bursts through your ear as you try to find a solution to this new revelation. He can find you he has a part of your Vivre card.
You began to stumble across the deck holding your head as it spun. A kaleidoscope of fragmented memories assaulted you: Doflamingo's chilling laughter, the crushing weight of being his puppet. His voice, sharp as a shard of ice, echoed in your mind: 'You will be my tool.' 'The only thing you have of worth is your ability to serve me.' 'You won't be able to run from me ever.' 'You will be what allows me to defeat Law.'
His last statement sat in your head it was the first thing he said to you after he left you in the cellar with no food or water for a week. You still held your stubbornness at the time and Doflamingo used your relationship with Law as the biggest catalyst for your mental break.
Your gaze drifted towards the ship's edge, a silent beckoning towards the churning water below. You stumbled with each hesitant step, your body protesting against the ship's gentle sway. You pull yourself onto the edge. You stood up taking in the salty air and the mist that came from the water hitting the boat and reaching your face. 'you will be the reason he dies.'
The rough wood of the rail scraped against your skin, a fleeting comfort before it slipped away. Gravity seized you, pulling you down with an inexorable force. The salty air whipped past your face, as the waves almost felt like they were calling you as you fell. You close your eyes and accept your body's solution.
A shout, sharp and desperate, pierced through your despair. Your eyes snapped open just as the water rushed to meet you, a cold abyss promising an end. The terror of your action hits you as the water hits your face. You weren't ready or willing to die yet.
As you sink into the sea you turn over to watch the Sunny continue to sail away leaving you behind. Your vision began to go black just as something jumped into the water above you. You reach your arm out begging the figure to save you, you weren't ready. Your lungs burned, demanding air that your numb body refused to provide. A single, desperate breath escaped your lips, a silent plea for salvation as darkness consumed your vision.
The pit in your stomach felt heavy as it pulled you down. It almost felt peaceful as nature attempted to take back the devil fruit inside of you pulling you down faster and faster.
At least this way you can't cause Law any more pain and your suffering can end.
***
You felt a push on your chest and a pressure built in your throat that pushed its way out of you. Your body forced itself to the side as you spit out the seawater that filled your body. The green grass filled your vision as it began to return. You looked up to see you were on the deck of the Sunny.
"what were you thinking!?" an angry voice spoke above you.
Your head snaps up in search of the voice and find the swordsman of the ship Zoro. You sigh in relief that it wasn't your worrisome captain to save you.
You lolled over to your back sitting up slightly while continuing to catch your breath, "Thank you." you sigh.
The swordsman scoffed, "You didn't answer my question."
You look away from him, "I was trying to keep Doflamingo from finding us." you pull your legs up to your chest for warmth as you shiver in your wet cloths.
"and how would jumping off the ship help?" he spoke down to you.
"He made me a vivre card," you admit.
"That doesn't mean you jump off the goddamn ship!" Zoro shouted not even giving your revelation a thought. You look up at him to see not even a flicker of concern. "So what if he can track you we are heading to him anyways to kick his ass." the confidence of the man raised your own as you smile at the thought of them beating doflamingo.
Another thought flew into your head, "Please don't tell Law."
Zoro's brow furrowed in confusion. "He should know about the vivre card," he muttered, his voice low and gruff. 'We need to plan, strategize.
You shook your head, "No about... The whole jumping off the ship thing..."
Zoro sigh before sitting next to you, "Just promise not to do it again."
You nodded in response before staring off at the sea.
"why don't you want to tell him?" he asked pulling your thought out of your head.
"Law has already been through so much and a lot of the pain he has faced was because of me. I don't want him to worry about me anymore," you respond.
"If you didn't want him to worry why do it to begin with?"
"I guess I wasn't thinking of him, everything in my body just wanted it all to stop, the pain, the noise. The thought of him coming back for me terrified me." You bury your head into your knees tears refusing to fall.
Zoro's hand rested on your shoulder, "He won't hurt you again, I promise."
You look up at him, "but what about Law?"
Zoro looked over at the door to the boy's bunk, "I don't think our captain will let anything happen to him either."
You looked over at the bunks as well where the straw hat captain slept and you recalled his strong determination.
Zoro pushed himself up and offered you a hand, "Let's get out of these wet clothes."
You smiled taking his hand and he guided you to the bath he showed you the basics of the large bath and then left you with an old outfit of Robin's which was a long skirt and crop top.
You take the opportunity to bath in peace under the moon light. Feeling the warm water on your skin washing away the salty water pulled a weight off of you as you reflect on your conversation with Zoro.
***
As the first rays of dawn kissed the horizon, you emerged from the bath, the warm water washing away more than just salt water. When you climbed down the ladder you expected the ship to still be quiet with only the soft sounds of the waves hitting the boat. The clanging of dishes in the kitchen indicates someone else was awake.
You make your way to the kitchen by following the smell of cooked sausage. In the kitchen, their blonde cook danced over the stove cooking up a beautiful breakfast. You quietly sat down on a bar stool facing the cook as you watched him gracefully between the multiple pans on the stove each cooking a different part of the meal he was preparing for the whole ship.
When he finally turned around he jumped back at the sight of you, "Oh my sweet you scared me. I hope I didn't wake you?" his voice was still raspy showing signs of waking.
You shook your head in response. Sanji turned around to his domain pulling out a plate and shoveling food onto it, "Here is a beautiful breakfast for a beautiful woman!" he placed the plate in front of you. You muttered a thank you before digging in and the chef smiled before turning back to his work.
As you ate Sanji placed another plate beside you right before the door opened and Robin walked in with a book in hand. She gracefully walked to the chair next you and began to eat and speaking with Sanji who excitedly asked her how her food was.
"immaculate as always Sanji," she spoke joyfully before looking at you and analyzing your outfit, "Is that one of mine?"
You looked down, "I'm sorry I can take it off!" you spoke in a panic.
Robin just laughed, "No please don't, it looks good on you. I insist you keep it." she smiled softly which warmed your heart and you smiled in return.
You continued to eat your food as you noticed that her eyes had not left you. You felt her studying you, dissecting your emotions like a skilled archaeologist uncovering a hidden treasure. You return her stare with a questioning look as she analyzed you taking in every information she could about you. "What?" you speak up.
The woman just shook her head and turned back to her food, "I find you interesting." Your eyebrows raise in confusion, "Just the other day you were void of emotion and now you are flooded with emotions and worry for your captain. And yet the way you sit there you look like you belong here you look almost happy."
Your eyes dash to your plate as you think about her words and your past. "Ever since boarding your ship, I've been feeling all your emotions." You admit, "Your ship is so full of hope I have that to thank." You look back up to her and flash a large smile.
But the two pirates frowned at your response they both almost looked angry. Your smile quickly dropped as you tried to reach your power to feel their intention and you felt their disappointment and empathy.
"Then why try to kill yourself," Sanji spoke abruptly speaking in a tone that was unidentifiable if you didn't just read his emotion.
You froze thinking about your actions earlier and your failed attempt to hide your hurt. A tear starts to fall from your eye, "I wanted to prevent any more conflict." you spat, "How do you even know." your sad eyes dart between the two who share a look at each other.
Sanji shrugged, "Zoro informed me."
"I heard what happened while I was up reading," Robin admitted.
You push yourself out of the stool your mask completely falling your eye bags darken as your frown pulls them down and your eyes become red from the effort to keep them dry. The two pirates realized they had struck the nerve they were trying to pick and watched you with sorrow as you aimed for the door only to be stopped by the door flinging open.
The bouncy captain blazed into the kitchen running past you. You froze as you watched him run to Sanji and fought past him to reach the food. Next Usopp came following after the captain wiping the sleep from his eyes. He greeted you with a raspy morning before pulling himself into a chair at the table.
With the new people in the room, you pulled your mask back forcing a smile and clearing your eyes.
Luffy looked over at you and waved, "Morning, y/n! Come eat breakfast!" He shouted. You smiled in return and returned to your seat glad for a distraction. The two pirates interrogating you earlier frowned but decided to continue their roles.
Shortly Nami, Franky, Brook, and Chopper joined very excitedly for their breakfast. The loudness of the kitchen finally woke Law who ran into the kitchen in a panic as you were no longer in his arm. He burst through the door with his eyes darting around only to relax when he saw you laughing with the straw hats. He made his way towards you but as he approached Nami jumped up grabbing your arm, "y/n! Let me show you the rest of the ship!" Usopp jumped up as well grabbing your other arm and they pulled you out of the room.
Law frowns as the three of you push past him laughing. Law was glad you were laughing and smiling again even if it wasn't with him and let you go. He turned to the rest of the crew claiming a plate and chair. The chef and archaeologist watched him carefully.
You were pulled through the ship by the two pirates who excitedly showed you their favorite parts. You found where the swordsman has been hiding in the lookout tower where he slept with an empty plate beside him seemingly his breakfast that Sanji brought him.
Throughout the tour, you conveniently avoided Law as he tried to catch up just as you would pull the crew to the next location. You were amazed by everything the ship had to offer and you showed that with amazed gasps and a large smile.
Robin and Sanji watched from afar both seeing through your mask.
By the end of the tour, you were exhausted and had found a quiet spot at the back of the ship by the garden where you could watch the Straw hats laugh and play on the grassy deck but not be spotted. You watched while Law glared at them as Luffy dragged him into their fun.
You wanted so badly to smile as you watched your 'edgy' captain looking so odd amongst the crew of joyful sports but now that you were away from any supply of joy. The weight on your cheeks pulled your lips into a deep frown your tears free to fall as you hid behind the mast.
Tears streamed down your face, hot and unchecked, as you huddled behind the mast. Wrapping your arms around your knees, you pressed your forehead against them, seeking solace in the familiar warmth.
A prickle on your neck sent shivers down your spine. You knew Robin was there before you even turned around. "I don't need your pity," you spat, your voice trembling slightly as you felt her emotions cover you.
Robin's voice softened. "I'm not here to pity you," she said, each word carefully chosen. "I came to apologize." She slowly emerged from her hiding spot, her blue eyes filled with a mixture of understanding and sorrow.
she found her place next to you, "I can never relate to what you have been through but I can relate to wanting to throw everything away for the people you love. It was wrong for Sanji and I to try to push you like that but we didn't like seeing you hurt alone."
You looked away from her, "I don't like it when others worry about me." You spoke plainly.
"Is that because of your powers?" She asked gently, "I noticed you'd mimic the emotions of the people around you."
You frowned, your brows furrowing into a deep crease, "Maybe," you muttered, "It's easier to pretend to be hopeful when you can steal that emotion from someone else but when everyone else is full of anxiety..."
"You feel anxious." Robin finished for you, her voice laced with empathy.
You nodded, "I used to wear gloves with sea prism to avoid feeling other people's emotions but now I don't know if I can feel any emotions without latching onto someone else's."
"But you are feeling your own emotions," Robin said softly, her blue eyes meeting yours with a newfound understanding. "They just aren't bright right now. It's okay to feel sad, angry, scared. We all carry those burdens. It's easier to pretend like your emotions don't exist and that you have to latch onto someone else's but you still have trauma you need to move past. Just like the rest of us."
You paused at her last sentence, "the rest of you?" you questioned, your voice barely above a whisper as you looked down at the joyful crew dancing as if they never faced a hardship before in their life.
You knew how hollow Luffy had felt when his brother died, but he was dancing and laughing as if that day never happened.
Robin nodded, her gaze unwavering. "All of us have faced some kind of dark past that we are all working to put behind us," she said, her voice filled with a quiet strength. "I too wanted to die, I thought there was nothing more I could do with my life, but then I met Luffy. He has saved me twice from myself."
You wanted to push Robin away, to retreat back into the shell you'd built around yourself. But a tiny flicker of hope, fueled by her words, threatened to crack through the facade.
You looked off at the crew, a small smile gracing your lips even as tears flowed down your face. For the first time, you allowed yourself to feel everything – the joy of being alive and safe, the sadness of having your life stolen so many times now, the panic from knowing you were risking everyone's lives by being alive, and the overwhelming relief of knowing that you would be protected. It was a whirlwind of emotions something you were glad to feel again.

Chapter 10 is on the way but I wanted to leave a short message before I post it. This chapter was a bit of a hard one for me to write and deals with difficult topics that have arisen after such a traumatic experience. I just wanted to give this warning as well for anyone reading and to prepare yourself. But these are also topics that the original story speaks on often.
Stowaway Chapter 9
Trafalgar Law x Fem!Reader
Summary:
The reader is a slave to a nobleman due to her devil's fruit ability which allows her to control the emotions of the people around her. She flees to bump into Trafalgar Law and boards his ship.
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8
Your moment with Law was short-lived as you passed out in his arms your body falling limp so much so everyone feared for your life. Even Law was fooled as he shook you in concern however, the feeling of your heartbeat from the back of your neck pulled him out of it sighing with relief. The Straw hat's doctor rushed over to perform his own examination, "She'll be fine" Law stated rising to his feet. "Do you have a medical room?"
The blue-nosed reindeer nodded, leading the way to the ship and into his medical room. Law placed you down on the bed before casting room and used his sword to scan you for any remaining strings or injuries caused by yanking the string out of you. He pulled his sword down satisfied to find no lingering effects. unfortunately, his scan can only look for physical injuries and can see the mental turmoil. He pulls the chair next to the bed and starts petting your hair lovingly.
Chopper decides to give the two of you your privacy as he turns to rejoin the party but before he can close the door Law speaks an order, "Tell Straw Hat we should set off soon the island won't be safe for long." The reindeer nodded as he closed the door.
When the door shut you grab onto Law's wrist pulling his attention back to you. You look up at him with tears in your eyes and your eyes glowed black. "Y/n." Law spoke with concern as he held your hand with one hand and cupped your face with the other using his thumb to wipe away your tears. You leaned into his hold, "do you remember?" He asked but held his breath as he awaited your answer. You smiled softly and nodded. Law breathed out and couldn't help a single tear fall as his head fell on your chest listening to your heartbeat. He quickly fell asleep as he was able to relax next to you.
You fell back asleep and after an hour when the party died down Law left the room to attend to some task. The Straw Hats finally decided to leave the island of punk hazard and Law returned to the medical room.
He climbed onto the small bed and pulled you close into a cuddle for the first time in 2 years when you were taken from him.
You slept for a full 24 hours and when you woke up it was the middle of the day and Law was on the deck exchanging plans with the Straw Hats. You sat up rubbing the back of your neck a weird itch continued to pester you. You swing your legs over the bed and place your feet on the floor trying to gain balance before swaying to the door. When the door opened everyone who was on the deck yanked their attention toward you as you leaned on the doorway.
Law quickly began to run up the stairs to reach you before you tried to push yourself off the doorway only to stumble. Law reached you before you fell and pulled you to your feet. "y/n?" He spoke in concern. "What are you doing up?"
He tried guiding you back to the room "I wanted to get some air." you mumbled as you tried to push away. Law's eyes widen in response he hasn't heard you voice your wants in a long time so he quickly changes his direction and guides you to the deck where everyone is hanging out lying on the grass. Luffy was the first to jump up to greet you with his cheery attitude but when the rest of the crew saw you flinch the red-haired pirate quickly knocked him back down onto the ground. He pouted but received a warning glare from Nami.
Law guided you to the bench under the mast where the dark-haired pirate sat. She looked kindly at you with a soft smile as you looked uneasy joining the group. Now that you have sat down Luffy the wild captain jumped up again "y/n-y! So did it work do you remember me now!" He shouted as he ran up to you.
You nodded in response and he jumped up excitedly and you couldn't help but smile slightly at him as he ran over to his friends. "You must have been through a lot y/n are you sure you want to be out here with everyone?" Robin the kind pirate next to you asked in concern.
You nodded again which left Law confused you haven't spoken a word to anyone other than him. He leaned over to your ear, "Are you sure you're ok. You can speak up."
You nodded stiffly, "Yes Master Law….." You quickly threw your hands up to your mouth as everyone looked concerned at your response. Law's eyes slightly widened but calmed quickly as he saw the fear in your eyes.
He pulled your hands off your face and into his, "It's ok we'll work on it. No one is expecting you to be fully cured from a year's worth of torture." He kissed your forehead softly which left everyone surprised to witness the Surgeon of Death's soft side. He pulled your head into his chest in which he took his opportunity to give a death glare to the boys of the ship who were snickering.
Sanji then walked up to you with a tray of lemonade and offered you a glass with a soft smile. You gratefully took it and began to look around, "Where are we?" You asked.
"The Thousand Sunny!" The large cyborg spoke excitedly. "Only the best ship for the best pirate crew the straw hats! isn't it super!" He then posed with his hands in the air you nodded while drinking out of the straw of your lemonade admiring the ship while Law silently argued with Sanji and why he doesn't get lemonade. You have been on many ships in your life but this one was truly something and just breathes of homelyness. You like the Polar Tang and the Heart Pirates but the steel walls and echos of the sea around you feel so different than the open air and smell of the sea.
"Where is our crew?" You turn to Law snapping him out of his argument.
"They are on Zou with Bepo we will meet back up with them soon. I am sure they will be very excited to see you back to normal." He spoke with a smile now completely ignoring the upset cook and only focusing on you. 'normal' that word rang in your ear as you thought back to the time before your capture which quickly shot your memory to the day Amazon Lilly was attacked. Law watched closely as your eyes shifted colors darting back and forth. The small amount of red mist began to fum off your hands as you sunk deeper into your memories. Law quickly grabbed your hands forcing you to drop your glass and hold his hand sending all your emotions into him.
Law breathed deeply as he felt your fear and regret swimming through him but confidently looked into your eyes until yours shifted back to normal.
When you feel yourself grounded again you notice Sanji yelling at Law for dropping his glass and tried offering you a new glass of lemonade. You quickly jumped up and bowed your head, "I am sorry sir I will get this cleaned up right away!" You bent down to pick up the glass with your bare hands. Law sighed as he cast 'Room' and swapped the broken glass with the ice that was in the glass Sanji was holding. Sanji was taken aback by your action and silently took the broken glass away.
Law grabbed your hands and inspected it for any damage. "Maybe it was too soon to come out." You sigh feeling defeated as everyone is looking at you again. You pushed yourself up and made your way up the stairs and back into the room in which you came. As soon as you closed the door you locked it to prevent Law from entering and fell to the floor in tears.
Law went to follow you but Robin grabbed his wrist, "Give her some time." Law looked pissed at the woman giving him a suggestion but as he watched you run away he couldn't help but agree as he sat down in a huff.
"What happened to her?" Luffy asked jumping over. "When I met Y/N she was much more fun. When she and the amazon's snuck over to the island Reighley was training me she and I would compare our observational Haki. Then she would show me her super cool powers and she would make the animals do super funny things." Luffy laughed as he recounted his experiences with you, "But then she stopped joining the amazons."
"Doflamingo happened." He stated plainly which sent furry into Luffy's eyes. "He kidnapped her while she was on Amazon Lily."
"Then let's give him the biggest ass-whooping ever!" Luffy punched his fist into his hand with passion bursting in his eye. Law smiled as he realized that he had chosen the right person to align with. The other straw hats agreed with a shout.
Law knocked on the door of the medical room holding a bowl of fried rice that Sanji had made for you. You didn't answer the door and when he went to jiggle the door handle it was locked. Law frowned as he looked through the window to see you sitting on the door asleep. He smirked as he used his powers to transport himself into the room and got a better view of you. You were curled up holding your knees and your head laid on top of them as you peacefully slept. Law touched your shoulder gently which stirred you and you looked up into his eyes, "Law?" He just nodded and helped you up and to the bed.
"Sanji made this for you something about it helping you with your strength." He spoke as he handed you the bowl. You took one bite of it and your mouth began to water at the taste it was the best food you have ever had and you began to shovel it into your mouth. Law laughed, "I will admit their chef does know how to make the best food." He said to which you nodded aggressively.
Once you finished Law took the bowl and placed it on the desk. "How are you feeling?" He asked gently.
"Better." You state as you pull your knees to your chest for comfort as you prepare for his list of questions.
Law sighed as he leaned on the desk, "How much do you remember?"
"Everything."
Law paused at the ramifications of that answer before continuing, "When you didn't what were you able to remember."
You took a breath and closed your eyes unable to meet his while recalling your trauma, "I remember he locked me in a cellar and would come by daily grab me by the back of my neck, and ask me questions. After two weeks my memory became a blank canvas for him, he told me stories of how I was thrown away by my parents how he rescued me, and how he was now my family. He then molded me into his perfect servant and taught me how to amplify my powers. When with you and the crew all I knew was my training and my purpose….."
You jumped up in a panic, "My purpose! I was sending Doflamingo information!" but Law remained calm. "Law this isn't good when you were away I would contact him and tell him what you were up to!" You began to pace in worry but Law remained stagnant.
"I Know." He spoke calmly. "I figured he would so I kept the most important information away from you."
You let out a deep breath, "But what about punk hazard he knows you were there."
"Monet was going to tell him anyways." Law walked up and pulled you into a hug, "I'm sorry." You felt the tears hit the top of your head.
"I'm here now thanks to you." You respond as you pull away from the hug, "I know you have more questions." You sit back down on the bed as he joins you.
"Just one. How?"
You sighed, "When Doflamingo got wind of you aiming for the warlord role he wanted some kind of advantage over you so when my old master told him about you protecting me he figured I would be it. He somehow found me at Amazon Lily and began a raid. Hancock insisted I stay hidden from the outsiders but he found me. He used the amazons to attack me and I couldn't… I couldn't do." tears started to fall down your face as the memories that happened 2 years ago that you had long forgotten and it all hit you like a brick.
Law grabbed your head and pulled you into his chest as you cried.
**
You woke up 3 hours later tangled in Law's arms as you both had seemingly fallen asleep on the small bed after you talked. You slowly pull yourself out of his arms and quietly leave the room. The cold salty air hit your face as you walked onto the deck. The moon shined brightly lighting up the deck and revealing to you the time of night.
When you made it to the center of the deck you lay down feeling the grass all over as you thought back on your past. Having all your memories return all at once and going through the past 2 years without any has not been easy on your brain. You close your eyes and focus on the other people on the ship. Their emotions are each unique but each has a sort of passion in their hearts that soothes you. You focus on the ship and the items around it feeling the emotional echos that tell the story of the Straw Hats. You can tell how loved the Sunny is and you feel safe knowing this is the crew that Law has aligned himself with.
You dig through your pocket to find a transponder snail you stare at it in your hands and its pink coloring.

Silent Longings (Chapter 3)

WC: 3,381 / Law x afab!reader / continuation of Two-way dilemma (Chapter 2)
A/N: Apologies for the delayed update! I had to discard the original idea for this chapter as I aim to avoid extending the series excessively.
DAY 0
The scene unfolds within the cramped confines of the Polar Tang. The air is thick with a mixture of anticipation and tension as the crew gathers for a crucial meeting. The dim lighting casts long shadows across the metal walls, accentuating the seriousness of their situation.
Law sits at the head of a makeshift table, his expression stoic and unwavering. His voice cuts through the silence with authority as he addresses Bepo, his first mate, with a stern tone.
"How long before we could reach the next island?" he demands, his eyes fixed on the map spread out before them.
Bepo studies the map intently before offering his assessment. "I could say, less than a week," he replies, his voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty.
Penguin steps forward, laying out the blueprint of the Polar Tang with a sense of urgency. He points to the damaged section of the submarine, where the sea monster had struck them just the other day. His words are measured, each one emphasizing the gravity of their predicament.
"Emergency repairs were implemented," Penguin explains, his tone grave. “However, because of the impact, we are unable to dive deep into the ocean for the time being.”
Shachi adds to the mounting list of concerns, reporting on their dwindling supplies with a sense of grim inevitability.
"Our supplies are running low as well," he interjects, his voice tinged with worry. "I estimate they could last right before we could reach the next island."
Law listens intently, his mind already racing with plans and contingencies calculating their next move. He brushes his chin thoughtfully with his right hand, a gesture that belies the weight of his responsibilities as captain. Nodding in understanding, he acknowledges the reports with a silent resolve.
"Anything else to address?" he asks the crew, his gaze sweeping over each member in turn. After a tense moment of silence, Law takes charge, rolling out different duties to each crewmate with a sense of purpose. With the meeting adjourned, the crew disperses, each member focused on their assigned tasks as they prepare to face the challenges that lie ahead.
Law's sigh reverberated in the quiet room; a heavy exhale laden with the weight of their precarious situation. As he sat at the edge of the table, the coin in his hand danced with the flicker of his thoughts. The room seemed to close in around him, the silence thickening with every passing moment.
“I hope we won't find ourselves on the Navy's radar.” He mused quietly to himself. His mind already preoccupied with the myriad dangers that lurk on the horizon.
Lost in his thoughts, Law was startled when you entered the room. Your presence was unexpected, a break in the solitude he had grown accustomed to. For a fleeting moment, your eyes met his, a silent exchange of acknowledgment before you looked away.
"I'm on cleaning duty today," you announced, your voice cutting through the silence like a lifeline. Law's gaze lingered on you; his scrutiny almost recognizable.
"You're not taking additional duties from anyone, are you?" he asked, his tone laced with a knowing edge that sent a chill down your spine. How did he know? The question hung in the air, leaving you feeling exposed and vulnerable.
"No, I won't do that again," you replied, the admission weighing heavily on your conscience. There was no point in hiding the truth from him, not when he already knew. You busied yourself with tidying the scattered maps and blueprints, a feeble attempt to distract yourself from his penetrating gaze.
"How are you now?" Law's question caught you off guard, his concern genuine and unexpected. Your heart fluttered in response, uncertainty clouding your thoughts.
"I feel better now. Thank you for the other day," you replied softly, your voice barely above a whisper.
Law moves closer, his steps measured and deliberate, prompting a flicker of apprehension within you. You brace yourself, expecting the unexpected, only to be caught off guard as his hand touches your forehead and gently tugging the skin below your eye with his thumb assessing your well-being with clinical precision.
Meeting his gaze, you find yourself caught in the intensity of his scrutiny. His actions, though gentle, carry a weight of concern that resonates deep within you, prompting a surge of conflicting emotions.
"Let me take those." Law's offer is accompanied by a subtle brush of his hand against yours, a fleeting touch that make your heart flutter.
"You're also relieved of your duties for today." His statement is firm, yet beneath the surface lies a genuine desire to ensure your well-being.
"Captain! I told you I'm fine!" You protest, your voice tinged with frustration and defiance, yet it's clear that your resolve is beginning to waver.
"You look pale. Are you going to disobey the doctor's orders too?" Law's question cuts through your protests like a surgeon's scalpel, leaving you momentarily speechless. In his words, there's a blend of concern and authority, a reminder of his role not just as your captain but also as the doctor of the ship.
Faced with his unwavering gaze, you feel a sense of resignation wash over you, the weight of his concern impossible to ignore. In that moment, you realize that resistance is futile, and with a resigned sigh, you reluctantly concede defeat.
With the room finally tidied, Law motioned for you to follow him, his demeanor calm and composed. Unease gnawed at the edges of your consciousness as you trailed behind him, the weight of his sudden kindness lingering like a shadow.
Stopping at his quarters, Law disappeared momentarily before returning with a handful of medicines. He explained their purpose and dosage with the precision of a seasoned doctor.
As he handed you the medicines, a flicker of hope ignited within you, only to be extinguished by the harsh reality of his rejection. He was your captain, your mentor, and nothing more. With a heavy heart, you resigned yourself to your fate. Despite his kindness, you reminded yourself not to read too much into his actions, knowing all too well the boundaries that had been set between you.
Leaving his quarters, the weight of unspoken emotions hung heavy in the air, leaving you to grapple with the conflicting feelings stirred by Law's unexpected care and your own guarded heart. You understood that his kindness was merely a duty, not a sign of affection.
DAY 2
Feeling rejuvenated by the restorative effects of the medicine Law had provided, you greet the day with newfound energy.
Do I still look sick? You stand before the mirror; you notice a lingering hint of paleness in your complexion. With a deft hand, you apply a touch of blush and lipstick, hoping to mask the telltale signs of your weakened state.
Glancing out the window, you're greeted by the sight of a school of fish gracefully swimming past, their vibrant colors a stark contrast to the muted tones of the submarine's interior. The muffled voices and footsteps outside your door pull you from your reverie, prompting you to hastily tie your hair back before stepping into the hallway.
There, you find Penguin and Shachi, each carrying buckets and fishing rods, their faces alight with anticipation.
"Hi, <y/n>!" Shachi calls out, waving enthusiastically as you approach.
"Wanna join us?" Penguin chimes in, his smile warm and inviting.
You nod eagerly, grateful for the chance to spend time with your crewmates and catch some fresh food for the journey ahead. United in camaraderie, you stride alongside them, anticipation of adventure gleaming in your eyes as you set sail for another day on the boundless ocean.
Stepping onto the submarine's deck, you're greeted by the soothing embrace of the ocean breeze, the salty air filling your lungs and rejuvenating your spirit. As you approach Bepo, you can't help but marvel at the sight of him effortlessly reeling in yet another fish, the creature flipping and flopping on the fishing rod in a desperate bid for freedom.
"The cooler is almost full, Bepo!" you exclaim, genuinely impressed by the bounty he's managed to capture.
"Someone's having a feast tonight!" Shachi interjects with a mischievous grin, his playful jab aimed at Bepo's undeniable love for fish. A chorus of laughter fills the air as you join in the lighthearted banter, the camaraderie of the moment washing away any lingering traces of worry or doubt.
Penguin extends the fishing rod towards you, his expression eager as he offers to teach you the art of angling.
"Do you know how to use it?" he asks, his eyes twinkling with anticipation.
"I'm afraid not," you admit with a nervous smile, feeling a pang of embarrassment at your lack of expertise.
Without hesitation, Penguin steps forward to demonstrate, guiding you through the process with patience and encouragement. You watch intently as he explains each step, nodding along in understanding as you prepare to cast your line into the depths below.
"Here goes nothing!" you declare with a mixture of excitement and nervousness, casting the reel with a flick of your wrist. Your heart races as you wait with bated breath, the anticipation building with each passing moment.
Before long, you feel a gentle tug on the line, signaling that you've hooked your first catch. With a surge of adrenaline, you begin to reel in your prize, a triumphant grin spreading across your face as you hold up the fish for Penguin to see.
"Look, Penguin!" you exclaim, your voice filled with pride as you display your achievement.
Penguin's reaction is a mix of surprise and delight, his gaze lingering on you with a warmth that sends a flutter of butterflies through your stomach.
"Penguin?" you inquire, noticing the slight flush that colors his cheeks.
"You're doing great!" he assures you with a smile, his attempt to conceal his emotions only serving to endear him to you even more.
“Let me know if you need help.” Penguin offered to give you some space on the other side of the ship. You nod eagerly, feeling a newfound sense of confidence lifting your spirits as you resume fishing with renewed determination. With each cast of your line, you feel a deep connection to the expansive and enigmatic world beneath the surface, grateful for the chance to explore its wonders alongside your crewmates.
You cast your bait once more, anticipation tingles through your veins, mingling with the thrill of the hunt. However, this time, the wait seems to stretch on longer than before, prompting a furrow of confusion to crease your brow. Sensing something amiss, you glance down into the depths of the ocean, your eyes scanning the shimmering expanse for any sign of movement.
Suddenly, a gentle tug on your rod jolts you back to attention, followed by a powerful, relentless pull that sends the reel into a frenzy. With a gasp of surprise, you struggle to maintain your grip as the unseen behemoth beneath the waves puts up a fierce fight, its strength evident in the strain it exerts on the line.
"This is a big one!" you exclaim, a surge of adrenaline coursing through your veins as you brace yourself for the battle ahead. With each tug of the rod, you can feel the fish's raw power, its determination matched only by your own resolve to emerge victorious in this exhilarating duel of strength and willpower.
With every ounce of strength you possess, you grapple with the fishing rod, your muscles straining against the relentless pull of the unseen adversary below. Frustration simmers beneath the surface as you struggle to gain the upper hand, your determination matched only by the stubborn resilience of the creature on the other end of the line.
"Why. Can't. You. Just. Give. UP!!!" you grit out through clenched teeth, your frustration boiling over into a fierce battle cry as you pour every ounce of your being into the struggle.
Your foot finds purchase on the rail, anchoring you in place as you muster all your strength for one final pull. But despite your best efforts, the fish proves to be a formidable opponent, its strength far surpassing your own.
With a forceful tug, you lose your balance, teetering dangerously on the edge of the deck as gravity threatens to claim you. But before you can plummet into the churning waters below, a strong arm wraps around your torso, pulling you back from the brink with a jolt.
Your back collides with the solid warmth of Law's chest, his presence a stabilizing force amid chaos. You feel a rush of relief flood through you as his touch grounds you, his left arm seamlessly intertwining with yours as he takes charge of the rod.
"Are you okay?" he asks, his voice laced with concern as he releases his hold on you, his attention focused solely on the immediate job helping out with catching the elusive fish.
You draw in a ragged breath, your heart pounding in your chest as adrenaline courses through your veins.
"Yes," you manage to gasp out, your voice barely above a whisper as you watch in awe as Law assumes control, his expertise evident in the confident ease.
As you stand side by side, you can't help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over you, grateful for the unwavering support of the man who stands beside you. You can't help but feel the surge of admiration for him.
                                                       ////////
As Penguin rushes to your aid, his heart pounding in his chest, he finds himself frozen in place at the sight of you enveloped in Law's embrace. A knot forms in his stomach, a mixture of concern and uncertainty swirling within him as he watches from a distance, waiting for the opportune moment to intervene.
As Law releases you, Penguin steps forward, his expression a mask of concern as he moves to stand beside you. Shachi and Bepo follow suit, their eyes wide with astonishment at the spectacle unfolding before them.
"What happened?" Penguin inquires, his voice laced with worry as he surveys the scene before him.
With each passing moment, the tension mounts as Law continues to battle against the powerful sea creature, his movements precise and calculated as he strives to overcome the obstacle in front of him. And as the struggle reaches its climax, you find yourself holding your breath, your heart pounding in your chest as you wait with bated breath for the moment of victory.
The surface of the water erupts in a tumultuous display of raw power, the massive fish that had eluded you moments before breaching the surface with a deafening roar. Gasps of awe escape the lips of the onlookers as they bear witness to the sheer size and strength of the creature, their senses overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of its presence.
But the awe is short-lived as an even larger sea creature emerges from the depths, its colossal form eclipsing everything in its wake. With a mighty crash, it engulfs the elusive fish whole, sending shockwaves rippling through the water, making the submarine rock precariously.
"Shit!" Shachi curses under his breath, his eyes wide with fear as he watches the colossal creature disappear back into the depths from whence it came.
With a sense of urgency, you and your companions waste no time in making your way to the safety of the ship's main entrance, the adrenaline-fueled rush of fear propelling you forward as you seek refuge from the unpredictable chaos of the ocean.
"Keep watch and be ready to act at a moment's notice." Law steps forward, his voice steady and commanding. His hand already on the hilt of his sword. The crew nods in agreement, their resolve strengthened by Law's unwavering leadership.
As the moments tick by intense anticipation, the crew holds their breath, their eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of the colossal sea creature that had sent shockwaves through their midst. With each passing second, the tension mounts, the air thick with uncertainty as they brace themselves for whatever may come.
But as the minutes stretch into eternity, the ocean remains eerily calm, its surface undisturbed by the presence of the elusive behemoth. A collective sigh of relief escapes from the lips of the crew, the tension slowly dissipating as they realize that the danger has passed, at least for now.
The silence is broken by the sound of your laughter, the unexpected release of tension sparking a wave of amusement that washes over you and your companions alike. Your laughter rings out across the deck, a melodic symphony of relief and nervous energy that fills the air with warmth and camaraderie.
Law's gaze softens as he turns to look at you, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. In that moment, the weight of the world seems to lift from his shoulders, replaced by a sense of lightheartedness and joy at the sight of your infectious laughter.
"I'm sorry! I just can't!" you gasp between fits of laughter, wiping the tears from your eyes as you struggle to regain your composure.
A smile spreads across Penguin's face as he watches you, his own amusement mirroring yours.
"You sure had fun!" he remarks, his voice warm with affection as he joins in the chorus of laughter that echoes across the deck.
                                                      /////////
As you and the rest of the crew gather around the coolers filled with the day's bounty, Bepo's eyes sparkle with delight at the sight of the freshly caught fish, his enthusiasm infectious as he eagerly examines each specimen with childlike wonder.
"It's a shame we weren't able to catch the big fish earlier," you remark with a hint of disappointment, a wistful sigh escaping your lips as you glance at the smaller catches nestled within the cool confines of the containers.
"Haha! At least we don't have to deal with that sea creature. You hooked its prey!" Penguin chimes in with a laugh, his playful tone easing the tension and drawing a chuckle from the rest of the crew. Absentmindedly, he places his left arm around your shoulder, offering a comforting squeeze that sends a warm flutter through your chest.
"It's not my fault though!" you protest with a playful bump of your elbow, the camaraderie of the moment dispelling any lingering traces of unease.
Unbeknownst to you, Law watches from a distance, his expression unreadable as he observes the interaction between you and Penguin. A flicker of something crosses his features, too fleeting to decipher. He grips his sword tightly, a silent sentinel standing watch over the scene before him.
For a moment, he considers intervening, of asserting his presence and reclaiming your attention. But the weight of his responsibilities as captain holds him back, anchoring him in place like an invisible tether.
In the end, he knows that now is not the time nor the place for such confrontations. With a sigh of resignation, Law turns away, his footsteps silent against the metal deck as he retreats back inside the submarine, unnoticed by the crew.
Still on the deck, you contemplate the portions to be set aside for future consumption and plan out the evening's dinner menu, various fish recipes dance through your mind, each one more tantalizing than the last.
"Let's cook grilled fish!" Bepo exclaims, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "It's the captain's favorite too," he adds, a note of excitement in his tone.
"Ok! then that's settled!" you reply with a smile, your enthusiasm matching his own as you eagerly agree to his suggestion. You turn around to share the news with the rest of the crew, your smile faltering slightly as you realize that Law is nowhere to be found.
For a moment, a pang of disappointment washes over you, the absence of Law's familiar presence casting a shadow over the excitement of the evening.
Why am I even looking for him? you wonder to yourself, shaking off the fleeting sense of longing as you focus on your task. With a renewed sense of purpose, you join the rest of the crew in preparing for the evening's festivities, determined to make the most of the time you have together, even in Law's absence.

The Dance of Steel and Despair
Summary:
While Shachi and Penguin keep watch of Polar Tang a creature startles them. Kairi finally wakes up and Law and her have a heart-to-heart before Law leaves with an offer.
Law x OC
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
All the Heart Pirates slept soundly aboard their sub, the Polar Tang, except for Shachi and Penguin who stood watch on the deck.
"I'm surprised the Marines haven't shown up yet," Penguin said, his voice raspy from drowsiness, as he took a swig of coffee.
Shachi scanned the desolate island, its only remnant of life a blackened husk of a town. "Makes sense," he replied. "No witnesses, no reports. Not to mention the Bancroft pirates controlled the town, probably just another island the Marines turn a blind eye to."
Penguin's head snapped to a scratching sound, "what was that?" He questioned out loud.
"There is nothing out there unless... Do you think the island is haunted?" Shachi teased, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Penguin scoffed with a laugh. "Don't be ridiculous."
Suddenly, a chilling howl pierced the night, a sound that sent shivers down their spines. The two pirates exchanged panicked glances. "What was that?!" Shachi yelled, grabbing onto Penguin's arm.
Two glowing eyes emerged from the shadows behind the Echo Pirates' ship, followed by a terrifying sight: a fiery grin. Shrieks tore from their throats as they screamed in unison, "The island is haunted!"
A monstrous hound materialized, its body ablaze with an unnatural fire. The spot where the two pirates stood was now vacant, replaced by a cloud of dust as they vanished in a panic, leaving a trail of terror in their wake.
Their terrified screams echoed through the ship, rousing not just the captain, but the entire crew. Law burst out of his quarters, his face etched with annoyance, only to find his two most troublesome crewmates clinging to him, tears streaming down their faces.
"Captain! A ghost!" they sobbed, clinging desperately to their stoic captain.
Law's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?" he grumbled.
"A fire beast!" Shachi cried.
"It's the ghost of the island!" Penguin whimpered.
Before Law could respond, the hound's mournful howl resonated through the ship. Swiftly Law grabbed his sword and stormed out onto the deck, the two petrified crewmates trailing behind like scared children.
As they reached the deck, the two hid behind the doorway, peeking out cautiously. Law, however, stood confidently, his gaze fixed on a familiar sight. A gigantic hound, the flames on its back now extinguished, sat patiently on the beach next to the sub.
"It's a Hellhound! He's come to claim the souls of the island!" Shachi cried, gripping Penguin tightly.
Law shook his head in and, ignoring their pleas, jumped from the deck onto the sand. The two pirates screeched in protest, convinced their captain had just doomed himself.
The hound's attention immediately shifted to Law. The flames died down, replaced by a gentle whimper and a lick on his hand. It then turned and trotted towards the Echo Pirates' ship, beckoning Law to follow.
Law followed the hound aboard the ship, a sense of urgency building within him. He found Kairi convulsing in her quarters, foam gathering around her mouth. Reacting swiftly, Law flung his sword aside and rushed to her aid.
30 minutes later:
Law finished administering treatment, finding the source of her seizure and stabilizing her condition. He leaned back against the wall, exhaustion settling in, his eyes fixed on Kairi, watching for any signs of further distress. The hound nuzzled his hand, seeking comfort, its eyes filled with concern for its ailing owner.
Law murmured, "You did well, coming to get me." The hound whined in response, never taking its eyes off the woman. "She'll be fine she should wake soon." Law continued his one-sided conversation with the dog.
Law contemplated leaving to inform his crew and gather more supplies but the hound blocked his path with a demanding bark. "I'll just be a moment, getting some essentials. Can you keep her warm in the meantime?" Law asked, almost feeling stupid for expecting the dog to understand until the hound barked in response, before jumping onto the bed and curling protectively on Kairi's chest.
Outside, the entire Heart Pirates' crew stood on deck, clad in their sleepwear, their faces etched with worry for their captain. Law's face softened slightly as he saw their concern.
"It wasn't a ghost," he announced, addressing their frantic questions. "It was Captain Kairi's Hellhound, Cerberus, informing me of her medical emergency."
A chorus of questions erupted: "She has a Hellhound?" "Is that what burnt down the island?" "Is she okay?" "How does a Hellhound even exist?"
Law ignored the initial questions, heading towards his infirmary to collect supplies. He soon returned to the Echo Pirates' ship, finding Kairi sitting up in bed, stroking the Hellhound, Cerberus.
Kairi's eyes snapped towards him, and with a flick of her wrist, Cerberus transformed into a sword. She jumped to her feet, the weapon pointed threateningly at Law.
His hands automatically raised showing two bags one filled with medical supplies and the other filled with food. "I'm just here to help," he said calmly, making his way to her desk and placing the items down.
Kairi remained wary but kept her eyes on Law as she scanned the room, noticing the various medical supplies scattered around, evidence of his presence over the past week. Slowly, she lowered the sword, allowing Cerberus to shift back into his canine form. He bounded towards Law, tail wagging excitedly at the scent of the meat Law had brought as a present.
Kairi sat back down on the bed pulling her knees to her chest before she mumbled, "Why?"
Law moved towards the IV stand beside her bed. "Because I understand what you're going through," he explained gently as he replaced the empty bag. He then offered her a rice ball.
She took the ballbut scoffed, "Yeah, right," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "You have no idea what I'm going through."
Law shook his head as he sat on the edge of the bed, "You'll be surprised." Kairi's eyes darted across his face and could see the grim truth in his statement.
A flicker of despair crossed her eyes as her voice trembled. "Every single one of them… dead?"
Law nodded grimly, the memory etched deep within him. "I killed them," she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes.
His hand instinctively reached out to touch hers in a gesture of comfort. "No, you didn't. Sometimes, things like this happen. Life can be cruel to people like us."
She looked into his eyes, searching for solace and finding a reflection of her own pain. Tears streamed down her cheeks. "What happened to you?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Law withdrew his hand, his gaze averting briefly. "My island was consumed by a disease the world feared. I'm the only survivor... because of sheer luck," he confessed, a rare moment of vulnerability. "After that, I was consumed by anger, wanting the world to burn. But then I met someone who showed me that life, despite its hardships, is worth living."
Kairi nodded, a flicker of understanding softening her expression. She reached out, hesitantly placing her hand over his. "Thank you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
A faint smile touched Law's lips. "We need to leave soon," he said, a hint of concern in his voice. "Our supplies are low. You're welcome to join us if you wish." He handed her another rice ball "I'll be back in the morning to check on you. Think about it."
With that, Law turned to leave the ship, leaving Kairi alone with her thoughts and Cerberus nuzzling her hand.
