Elf cooking show: First person helmetcam of a an elf hunting and killing a deer with their bare hands. They sing a lullabye to the deer before they snap it's neck and prepare a side salad.

Dwarf cooking show: America's Test Kitchen but even more rigorous. 20 minutes of discussing how to maintain precise heat just to boil water.

Halfling cooking show: Great British Bake Off with soap-opera levels of internal drama. Everyone is stoned off their ass.

Orc cooking show: Edible mythbusters. The contestants must make bbq with a live dragon. People straight up die sometimes.

Goblin cooking show: Goblins don't really understand the concept of restaurants, but they have a show like Diners Dive ins and Dives for rooting through people's trash.

When the White Star liner RMS Celtic wrecked in 1928, the ship was evacuated, but the cat, Emily, refused to leave. She and her kittens stayed onboard for a few days, being fed on "fish, cream, and condensed milk" until they could be taken ashore. Emily's plight managed to make the New York Times.

Something that I think should be an important part of solarpunk aesthetics is screws.

Look at your smartphone. No screws. You've got to have specialized tools to get inside your phone to repair something. There are certain pieces of tech that are glued in place and glue can't be undone without permanently breaking the bond.

But screws!

You can take apart a broken old radio, repair what's broken, and, if you were careful in taking it apart, you can put it back together and have a fully functioning radio and all you need is a common screwdriver!

It's hard to build screws and other mechanical fasteners because it requires more planning than clamps and glues, but isn't that what solarpunk is all about‽ It's about care and sustainability and and a radio or a computer built carefully with repair in mind is a sustainable computer that stays out of landfills and in use.

Yess you deserve this!!! My bathroom has Vermillion tiles and I am on the hunt for the perfect shades of butter yellow for the walls and a deep rich plum for the accent ceilings to make it completely decadent looking.

My villain origin story will be paint companies advertising that I need to bring "vibrancy" and the "colors of Nature✨🌼🌸" into my life and then showing me the most off-white greyige tones I've ever seen in my life.

They put it up against the actual sea and sky and have the nerve to tell me that's blue???

I'm chewing through drywall, la Croix wishes it could bottle a flavor as bland as I heard the color of blue described once as a sickly Victorian child before the consumption got me confined in this windowless white room lest the miasmas take me too soon

I hate it so much!!! Give me indigo and turquoise! Give me lapis lazuli and cerulean!! Let me have real colors for the love of God. If I get advertised something as "room brightening" again I will start biting

My kitchen is currently sky blue with indigo accents because BLUE IS ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE COLOR
