I think blank votes send a message, though. No one likes what you're doing. You're doing a fuck ass job at it. Biden- or more likely the people behind biden- fucking dropped the ball. Trump is horrid and he should NOT be president. But how many dead people are on Bidens hand? He can *NOT* be voted.
Cause I...like the first paragraph? Like. Not everyone's cup of tea is my own. I don't care how it impacts other people as long as it impacts me 🤷♀️
Another AO3 thing I’m curious about, how do yall decide if something is good enough to read? Usually I follow a rule of 1 kudos for every 10 hits. One because it’s easy math and two it’s yet to fail me. Thoughts? Do you just go for it and pray it’s good?
FUCK my life. I just accidentally closed a tab on an unfinished chapter for one of my fanfictions on AO3 and all the work has been lost down to the drain ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ. I was really proud of that chapter and was thinking of publishing it soon but that's obviously out of the equation now. I don't even remember what id written on it, just that I really liked it 😭😭 I hate myself
I raise you: when a fanfic is mouth wateringly good with amazing themes of morality, good and evil, justice - a piece I think really explores the banality of human life and then it turns into CHRISTIAN PROPAGANDA IN THE LAST CHAPTER
u ever see someone with extremely fucked up views (or actions) and think wowww if a couple of things in my life went the tiniest bit differently that would have been me
Not really the same but the people who thought Alastors last name really was "altruist" 😭😭😭
it never fails to surprise me how some people will simply take every single thing in a story at face value and assume that what the characters are saying or doing or thinking must always be true even when all of the context clues are screaming the opposite
Since I'm reading many people disheartened at the lack of ordering a ceasefire by the ICJ, here's some info:
The ruling was BIG and far more than many expected. I, for one, certainly did not expect that the German judge ruled in favor of all of the provisional measures, nor that the Israeli judge would rule in favor of some of them. That is absolutely ground-breaking.
This ruling, whilst not final, will change the course of how the international community is going to act towards Israel, because now they are all going to be very careful not to be complicit in what potentially might be ruled as an actual genocide in the merits case (which will likely take years, but that's how it goes).
Governments and individuals have a face to lose, and the ICJ ruling is one more nail in the coffin of their complicity.
