When was Alexander’s crush on Hazel was first established?

I think this is slightly up for debate - there’s a period from about JFP-DITS where he thinks he’s in love with Daisy but is also finding Hazel increasingly interesting in a way he hasn’t quite parsed yet. I think he starts more actively crushing on Hazel around the Missing Pearl short story, and then by late autumn 1936, right before they all head to Egypt, he’s all in. But you could argue different timings if you want to! I think he lies to himself for a while.

Headcannon that Deepdean has a house system and names them after Deepdean alumni. Hazel gets a house named after her (Wong house) for working with Bletchley during the war.

Daisy is absolutely FURIOUS at the very thought that she does not have a house named after her.

Daisy - "I have grown to appreciate your talents over the years, Hazel, but it is absolutely NOT RIGHT of Deepdean to have a house named after you and not one of me!"

Aleks - "Could it possibly be to do with the fact you're legally dead?"

Daisy - "Aleksandr, you did not and are not attending Deepdean School For Girls, so do not stick your nose into matters concerning said school!"

George (just to stir the pot and see Daisy's face) - "I personally don't think Wells House rolls off the tongue as well as Wong House does..."

Bertie gets a library wing at Cambridge dedicated to him when he receives the Lord title around the same time as Hazel gets the house name, and Daisy just about explodes with indignation

This one really challenged me 😅 but I had a lot of fun and decided to do a modern AU Daisy

Personally, I headcanon Daisy as dressing quite prep in my modern AUs, because she's still masking. The one exception is her double piercing, which came about when Uncle Felix got her ears pierced in secret, which they both hid when Margaret decided to take Daisy to get her ears pierced the day after. Lady Hastings being oblivious as usual, she didn't notice that Daisy had 2 piercings in her ear until fhey got home
