I'm just messing around in some old saves, and I got this dialogue on the lift thing you can ride over to the creche 馃槀 I guess Lae'zel's dialogue overrides others here, and I've never gone without Lae'zel before. I figure some other people might have missed this bit of banter too.
I went back to an old save to try and see something, one where I romanced Wyll. Did his scene at the tiefling party and realized there was dialogue I never even saw where you make him keep guessing why you sought him out, and he keeps giving little joke answers until you both admit you like each other, and it was so cute 馃ズ
This made me laugh out loud because I love that some of us were just seeing random animals and thinking, "Yeah, ok," and not even questioning it.
I gotta be honest, I always thought the little symbol on the death saving throws thingy was an elephant and never understood why. I only just now realized, in my sixth playthrough, that it's a person on their hands and knees with an arm raised.
I clicked on Gale in combat, and I swear he said, "The lesson is death," and---hot---but damn, Gale, why do you have the most intense combat lines 馃槄 Also I've never heard that before, and it's not even on the wiki with all the voice lines. I think my Gale has gained sentience. Seriously though, has anyone else heard this???
Ok I love seeing the tags people add, but I especially love that some of you have added "fucking gale" as a tag because that is an emotion, and I'm glad you all understand what I am feeling 馃榿
Gale Dekarios appears at first glance to be an attractive but disheveled wizard with a lot of charm but also a sorta sad, wet energy (like a cat left out in the rain). Then you get to know him, and he still is that, but he's also...
Gale Dekarios:
- Archmage.
- Chosen of the Goddess of Magic.
- Best friends with a tressym.
- Penpals with a magma mephit.
- Has been to at least one other dimension.
- Once bought 60 drinks at an adventurer's bar to stop a needless fight.
- Lives in a tower.
- Seems like a pacifist but says things like, "Let me recite their demise," in battle.
- Knows a guy who can get you some brains.
I'm sure there are more interesting tidbits I'm missing, but I can't keep making this list forever.
Furthermore, all of Gale's horny lines come from out of nowhere and hit you like a truck. The timing and delivery are incredible. Completely blunt, no warning, no reservation. Just, "Not that I don't appreciate your musk," and, "I once read a book that explained in some detail the effect a brush with danger has on one's desire for... other forms of stimulation," and, "It surely can't be a surprise that I have a practiced tongue."

I'm messing around with a debug/cheat mod that lets you spawn in any character in BG3 at will and I love that the various versions of the Emperor's model in the game files are: normal, totally non-suspicious disguise, shirtless, normal but without the big headpiece, and...... naked except for boots ??
Please, everyone, just add alt text to your images. Please. Make the internet accessible for blind people and anyone else who uses a screen reader. Think how you'd feel if you were constantly left out.
We all joke and complain about how we have these characters in our heads but not the time/energy/skills to actually write about them or draw them or put them into the world.
But the worse my health gets, the more I appreciate these people who live in my head and realize how wonderful it is, even if they only exist for me.
When the past, present, and future are all too sad or bad to think about, I can think about my characters. When I'm bored because I'm feeling too unwell to do anything else, I can imagine my characters having their little adventures or conversations or just cuddling on a couch.
Even when I have nothing else, I have them. They still have value, even if they're never shared with the world.
Interesting. If you make a deal with the hag in Act 1 and let her take Mayrina, Wyll and Gale disapprove -5, but Karlach and Shadow only disapprove -1. Lae'zel is apparently indifferent. Idk about Astarion because he was the one making the deal.
(He ended up being the one in the dialogue, so I did what I thought he would do. This is what happens when Tav isn't around to keep him in line because Tav put on the hag mask and got mind controlled and had to be knocked out.)
