If Team 4 is open to returning to previous skin lines (as they have teased with Mirrorwatch), I hope we finally get Tracer's Hermes skin from Heroes of the Storm sooner or later.

I haven't really liked Tracer's past three skins (Formalwear is cute, it's just... not very Lena. Get that soft butch in a tuxedo!), but this would fix me, I think.

This timestamp is really concerning for me.

I don't need to know which heroes will go off to have kids.

I know Reinhardt and Jack would likely never retire, no matter how much their bodies fail them. I mean, Reinhardt is already falling apart at his age, but he wants to live with honor, die with glory, and all that. I could only see Jack retiring if he had a love interest. Even then, he might go down the same route as Vivian and live in a home that can turn into an armory at a minute's notice.

And Lena becoming a leader? Vivian convinces Jack that Lena's a natural leader and gets him to make them lead the Storm Rising strike team, but Jack wouldn't let Lena become the strike commander in the future. He fights so that the generations after him won't have to suffer like he did; that's, like, half his character. Plus, don't we already have enough Strike Commander/blue Overwatch armor skins?

It's just aggravating to me at this point. It already irked me when we were getting Battle for Olympus, Starwatch, Questwatch, all these different alternate universes instead of a continuation of the main story. Then, Story Missions came out. I was hoping that things would change, but Microsoft decided to lay the entire PvE team off. Now, instead of interesting stories, we're getting surface-level "Baby's First Archive of Our Own fan fiction" content of characters that used to be so much more.

I hate the live-service model so much, it's unreal. What happened to the game I love?

ENOUGH.

It is insane to me how many people seem to love the idea of a canon lesbian turning straight, even as a "joke", yet I haven't seen anyone joking about Mirrorwatch Widowmaker being sapphic. This only seems to go one way, and I wonder why that is. (Just kidding! The answer is pretty damn clear.) I won't say this community is the worst of the worst, but it sure is up there.

It's crazy to me that all they had to do to fix Tracer was revert their damage to 5.5, or even 5, now that the DPS passive exists. Instead, they made her ultimate that was already hard-to-land even smaller and spat in the face of Tracer mains who have been used to 12-second recalls for the past eight years. Still, we persevere. 💪

I've also seen my fair share of discourse about "Why do people care so much about a fictional character's romantic/sexual orientation? Real gay people are literally being killed for existing!" but, like, you can care about two things at once.

If you can't respect a fictional character's pronouns OR romantic/sexual orientation, I think it says a lot about how you treat real people.

There are too many people that are too comfortable with "orientation play" kinks and the like involving especially Tracer, and I think those people should not be allowed to interact with other human beings until they learn better. I wouldn't leave a single drink uncovered around them.

Even for Venture, I've seen a few people saying "Yeah, I'll respect real people's pronouns, but they're a fictional character, so I'm going to keep using she/her pronouns for them."

Representation matters. Going out of your way to ignore it like that only makes you seem like, as Sloan "Venture" Cameron would put it, a big doofus.

So much of the Overwatch community is being respectful of Venture's nonbinary pronouns.

Then there are the low intelligence sexist transphobic toad munchers that have two brain cells to their name and both of them are fighting for 3rd place.

Assuming someone is a boy or girl purely based on how they look/the sound of their voice, and then doubling down on the blatant malicious misgendering, after being corrected, makes you come across as incompetent and ignorant.

If you're not willing to respect someone's pronouns then odds are you're also being disrespectful and toxic with other forms of basic human interaction.

I'm sure you're real fun at parties...

I just think Mirrorwatch would be more interesting if it was a non-canon story where Lena's chronal accelerator malfunctions and puts them in a different timeline. (Though I hate the idea of multiple universes, timelines, and all that, but again, it's not like it would be canon.)

Obviously, we don't know if there will be a Mirrorwatch comic or anything, but as of right now, it sounds like our favorite characters are just, well, mirrored. There's nothing interesting going on as far as character dynamics go.

Imagine a short comic where Lena finds herself at Watchpoint: Gibraltar, except all her friends are now villains, from the Commander Morrison to even Winston. Talon Winston and Talon Mercy would want to capture Tracer to experiment on them, but Overwatch comes in to save the day. Then, Lena has to work with them (even Widowmaker!) to steal technology from the Talon-ified Watchpoint: Gibraltar that could get her back home.

Then, after the event ends, it's revealed in a second VERY short comic that it was all just a bad dream. Lena wakes up in a panic beside Emily, and Emily comforts her as they both drift back to sleep. The end.

Am I saying all this because I'm salty over the existence of Talon Tracer and the fact that Soldier: 76 and the Reaper guy were seemingly ignored? Well, yeah, that's part of it, but hear me out--

You can tell Mirrorwatch is a proper mirror universe because Tracer Overwatch is my everything while Talon Tracer is dead to me. I pretend I do not see them.

I'm sorry for the negativity. I just really hate the concept of a mirror universe. I like my good guys, and I don't like it when my good guys are bad guys. I rolled my eyes when this season was teased at BlizzCon, and I was hoping that we'd at least get the Egyptian mythology season first. That's Venture's special interest, for crying out loud!
