full on offense but asylums, psych wards and any other variation of mental health facilities are not and will never be an aesthetic. mental illness is not an aesthetic.
and yes, this is coming from someone who has been hospitalized several times, fully angry that a white billionaire can be her quirky silly i-need-a-lobotomy [insert a tiktok reference] self while simultaneously having access to every single health treatment in the world.
while the rest of the world struggles to have access to a diagnosis, medication or human rights pertaining mental health.
"you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me", no, taylor. YOU wouldn't last an hour in the real world, where private jets are only ever seen on television and mental illness often means you cannot get a fucking job.

It's sooooo good that Genevieve no longer canonly meets Connor at work (for a lot of reasons LOL) but also because she would be saur embarrassing about Connor. Like I know she'd be looking at his hands too much, watching him too closely, probably accidentally end up staring when he plays with his "slicked" back hair that's more greasy than anything else. She'd blush at things he randomly does that she finds attractive. She doesn't realize how obvious it is to everyone, but especially him. She's very embarrassing in this way...

Another thing is that when this aggression started, we were so worried about winter and how displaced people in tents will survive it. Earlier this week the temperature in Gaza hit 38 degrees (100 Fahrenheit) and we are now wondering how will displaced people survive the heat in those tents.

Was thinking about Ivy Nicole before I tried to fall asleep last night and so, I've been working on the "fate" of her canon self, right? Anyways, I imagine that early on in her relationship with her husband, Marion, they aren't married yet, and he's coming home to see her and she's clearly been crying. He tries to check in on her. She explains that she heard a song on the radio that she hasn't heard in awhile and it really choked her up. She tries to laugh it off but it's obvious it's really bothering her.
Finally Marion, who doesn't push her, just softly nudges her making sure she knows that she can talk to him about anything. Finally she bursts, with tears running down her cheeks, she explains that she doesn't know why she's crying, it's been nearly a decade at this point... Marion thinks he knows where this is heading, because she's told him a little about all this before. But he reassures her that her feelings are important and if she's feeling something she needs to realize it, not push it down.
She explains that the song was one that she and Ellis enjoyed. One they'd sing together when it came on the radio. Happy moments. Happy times. She doesn't know why she had such a reaction to it (she does, it's been a long awhile since she heard it, and randomly she does on occasion still get Ellis on the mind). Marion tells her that she's allowed to miss him. He obviously meant a lot to her. Through tears, she explains that he was and that she feels silly crying to her new boyfriend about this. Says something about how her mom would lecture her if she could see her, she also explains that her mother told her it was disrespectful to talk about past relationships with new partners. Marion doesn't agree.
Ivy Nicole tells him that even though it's been nearly a decade (not really, 4 years shy), she still wishes she had a part of him. She, in her words, embarrassingly explains that for months, she cried when she realized she wasn't pregnant by him. She tries to laugh away her feelings, like they are crazy and irrational. Marion doesn't think so at all. In fact, his heart ached for her. She makes sure to reiterate that she *loves* her kids, it's the fathers of her children she isn't the fondest of these days. The one man she did love, she had nothing to remind her of him, forever and it devastates her. Grief is unfair and rotten.
Marion holds her, tries to comfort her. He wishes that he could explain to her, that oddly he gets it. That need to hold onto a piece of someone you love, who you'll never see again. He gets why, for a lover it would be a child. Especially if you thought one day you'd spend your life together. Marion gives her a warm, tight hug and kisses her on the top of her head when she buries her face in his chest. Both are glad they had this discussion. Ivy Nicole feels like she's no longer pulling around a secret, and Marion feels like he understands her just a little more. Ivy Nicole is tough to understand, but Marion is patient. Moments like this remind him how much of a life she lived before him. He knows when he finally opens up about his past, she will understand, too.

You can donate to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund for as little as $1.00.
Tumblr media
There is a fee you can choose to apply to cover processing.
Tumblr media
Which if you choose to do leaves you with a total of ~$1.35 (USD) depending on the type of card you have.
Tumblr media
PCRF has a score of 97% on Charity Navigator.
Adults and children alike are currently dying in Palestine due to starvation. (World Health Organization Link)
The Gaza Strip is one of two places in the entire world that is categorized as Phase 5 (the highest phase) on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification scale.
So even if you think it isn't enough, remember that donating even as little as $1.35 helps! It's $1.35 they wouldn't have had otherwise. So donate if you can. 🇵🇸

This bloodbath has gone on for far too long. At the start of this aggression, the school year had barely just started. The academic year ends in just a month. Everyone, from first graders to university seniors, have lost an entire year at least. I say at least considering even if there is a ceasefire today, Israel had destroyed literally all universities in Gaza and damaged over 400 schools. Lest we forget also Israel's deliberate targeting of university professors and academics.
You absolutely cannot mistake the intent behind all of this.
