sorry lol, I've just been thinking about these two a lot and realized that now that they don't work together, he leaves a lot. I think she misses him too much the entire time he's gone.

Thinking about Genevieve laying in bed, watching Connor get dressed because he can't stay, has a flight he has to catch for work in a couple hours, doesn't want to be late. Both of them still covered in a light layer of sweat, his hair sticking to his face around the temples. Genevieve enjoys watching him, quietly, not saying anything. Heart still hammering in her chest, breathing still hitched, hair a mess. She likes watching how his arms flex and move as he pulls his pants on, watching him buckle up his belt. How he throws his shirt on, glancing over at her, smile slipping onto his face when he notices her looking, buttoning up his shirt lazily, knowing he has time to fix it before he gets to work. He walks over to her bed, kissing her once before telling her he'd call her tonight. She wishes she was brave. She wishes she'd wrap her arms around his neck and tell him to stay. Waste another hour or two. But she doesn't. She just smiles and tells him she'll be waiting. She's tucked under a sheet, heartbeat in her fingers, her hands. He's out the bedroom door, looking at his watch as he goes. Busy. Always so busy. Genevieve sighs and rolls over in bed, hand petting the side of the bed he was on. Still warm. She missed him already.

I had a realization the other day that Aldridge should probably be an Ivy Leaguer bc of the amount of officers that were, and he's supposed to be like a really good officer and now I'm torn. If he did go to an Ivy League college, I wonder which one?

Things about Maria Bava:

•Really likes to do her own nails. Enjoys the process of trimming them, filing them, and painting them. She likes neutral colors but likes a nice cherry red on occasion.

•She toys with her hands when she's anxious and/or nervous.

•When she's trying to appear less anxious, she toys with the fabric of her dress where she thinks no one can see.

•The short time she was working for Puppy Simmons she was a nervous wreck. She's already a more nervous person, so this didn't help her at all.

•She can be a little naive though. Always assuming the best of people, even when she shouldn't.

•She has a necklace her mother gave her but the clasp broke so she has it at her house, in a drawer trying to keep it safe. She keeps telling herself she's going to get it fixed but for some reason keeps putting it off.

•She’s really good about deadlines and being on time.

Maria is so anxious when you talk to her. She reminds me so much of Genevieve. I like to think if they ever got to meet they would have been friends🫶

I wonder how much Jackie and John knew each other. Like she implies that still being friends with him after two years is like... shocking lol. I wonder if they've actually got to talk at all?

I hope Gina is able to run some shit now that Lincoln’s underbosses got the place held down. She is so cool and awesome and I know she is definitely capable of making them some good money lol
