Okay, guylies 🫂
I'll uninstall this god forsaken app and I'll be offline until May ends. I really, really, really need to study, and I think just getting RID of my social media apps is the best way to, in the least, stop wasting so much time.
I scheduled a bunch of Grand Chase meme edits I made 👉👈 They'll be online mostly one per day, for about a week or so. I'm really happy with them, I've always found Tumblr text posts edits a fun fan content.
Do tag me on posts you fell like I'd like! It's okay to send me asks, too, I'll answer them when I get online again.
🇧🇷 Pra quem for brasileiro, confira o meu blog no Dreamwidth através do @emoutrasnotas ☝️🧐 Talvez eu att ele esses dias, especialmente pra chorar pitangas.
Bye! If you see me online before May ends, please chase me off 😭😭😭

Dude it is SO FUN and EXCITING to see a reoccurring reader. If you've commented a handful of times on an author's work, I guarantee that they recognize you. You can't imagine how many times I've excitedly informed my friends "the person with the funny cat image commented!" "- anon is back!!!!" and the friends've recognized who I was talking about because I talk about my commenters so often LOL. We love you all!!!

some of you guys really need to learn to appreciate the fics you've been given. im so tired of seeing comments saying "is there a version where this happens?" "man i was really hoping for this" "another chapter were this happens?"
if you read a story and you can't even bother to comment on the effort and work the author already put in, but you comment suggesting something else just because you wanted it to go a different way? you're doing it wrong. i see this so, so often and im tired of being nice about it.
appreciate the authors who work for FREE on here. they're not writing machines. you're lucky they even shared their works at all.

Friendly reminder that people do read your fics and enjoy them without leaving kudos; they read and enjoy them without leaving comments; they may read them 100 times over, and that icky-looking ratio of a bunch of hits to only a few kudos may in fact be someone who reads it every night before they go to sleep bc it’s their comfort story.
It’s hard in a world where we all wanna collect those pretty numbers like hidden ability shiny Pokémon, and there’s no denying that numbers do give some serotonin! But it’s always important to remember that, sometimes, your work reaches people in ways that you’ll never really know. In ways that aren’t reflected in numbers or comments. And that your work is more valuable than you’ll ever know!
It took me a while to nail this into my head. Just something I think is worth sharing every now and then! <3

when you're into the Big Ship™ in a Big Fandom™, you have the luxury of having an OTP - a real One True Pairing, where you can read about just them for ages, and you will never run out of fics, and everything is perfect and beautiful and nothing hurts
but when you go to a smaller fandom, you'd better pray to whatever god you worship that someone else in this room ships the same thing that you do, and that if they do, they're writing more than late-night crackfic, because you're on thin fucking ice!
and how small is your small fandom? is it less than 100 fics? maybe even...less than 20 fics?
welp, then it's time to make peace with that god and either open up a text document or learn how to ship everything, because it's swim or drown babey! and your ship is sinking fast
anyway all of this is to say that after hanging out in small fandoms and shipping less-common pairings for a while, going back into a Big Huge Fandom™ is wild because suddenly it's like...wait, why didn't I ship these people again? I don't remember. why was I only sticking to one ship in this fandom?? boring of me, honestly. these guys should make out.

Thinking about philosophy of AO3 tagging. Specifically character tagging.
And how my preference is to tag only the characters that the fic is actually about.
But many people's preference is to tag all of the characters who make an appearance in the fic.

something that annoys me a lot in fanfiction as an aromantic is when people dont tag important platonic/familial relationships but tag random romantic stuff
i remember this fic in which there were platonic relationships that were almost as important as the main romantic ship, yet they werent tagged. but a romantic relationship that didnt even had a full scene was tagged.
there are millions of fics that do this. why only tagging romantic stuff? you have non romantic relationships in your fic that are just as important. tagging them would actually help the fic to get more readers (the ones looking for fics with gen relationships) but no, the romantic couple that had ¼ of chapter (of a multichapter fic) was a more relevant tag. wonder why
