Heellllooo i lovee your art!!! Youre one of the ppl who i look up to!!! Anyways could you give us some tips to make drawings not look stiff?? Bc my drawings look so stiff aahhhh :((
in animation (or figure drawing for that matter), we use a term called the ‘main line of action’ that allows the energy of the body to flow through rather than being stilted into sections. it helps distribute the weight of the pose and find the center of axis and balance
most line of action will take a ‘c’ or ‘s’ shape.
the rest of the limbs sort of follow through with the line of action and that creates a less stiff pose as opposed if you were drawing the pose from the top of your head
the main line helps you distribute your energy!!! start off with a circle for the head and then draw your line of action down from the neck!! theres a lot of foundational anatomy and proportion that goes into this method so its best you study that also!! GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU!!!
