And this is my response....✨☯️✨ I am so proud of my uncle Manuel Fernandez who has paved the way for people to challenge the current system that wasn’t possible before now. (He rejected "as naive" Mr Fernandez's claim his "only interest is justice, not money". Mr Fernandez said he was "not surprised" by the judgement, adding that he "disagreed with a lot of the findings". "In one respect, I think there's a major victory in that we paved the way for other victims of failures of the state to claim for non-pecuniary damages," he said. Non-pecuniary damages are compensation for losses that cannot be calculated in monetary value - such as pain or grief.) Safe Lives charity- Thank you for being a leading light on the topic of ‘Ending Domestic Abuse.’🙏🏻☯️🥳✨ Being a Safe Lives Pioneer has radically elevated my world, showing me how to live with even greater respect for everyone I encounter; as a team we continue to raise awareness and cultivate clarity on the topic of domestic abuse which is still quite misunderstood believe it or not, it is much more subtle and insidious than many of us realise. Own your story!✨☯️✨ Owning & making peace with our story is key to liberation, it’s not for the faint hearted though, we must dig deep to get real and ultimately we must feel to heal. I have put a smile over my pain for years, domestic abuse, drug addiction and my Mothers murder shattered me into a million pieces. Behind the lens of social media I do what we all do to transcend the pain of the past and the parental patterning, I cry, I struggle and do whatever it takes to summon the strength to be real and learn how to take even greater care and responsibility for my life. It’s taken years of healing work to find ways to show up and contribute a new energy that elevates me and helps others. Service is certainly the way forward for me, however, we must be there for ourselves before we can truly be there for others.
