Yule Ball P.2
Part 1
*Doesn't follow timeline*
I was gonna make this mushy but I have a 3rd part planned and I need things to be angsty.
Words: 2.2k
'''
"What do you mean by that?" She asked, slightly offended and confused.
"Oh maybe its the fact that he's a player you have no idea what you're getting yourself into," He scoffed at her, "I'm actually surprised you haven't heard the stories about him, maybe you are really just a nobody."
"Oh that's really sweet, Malfloy. It's just a dance, and why do you care so much? Jealous?" She snapped, obviously irritated.
"Jealous? Why would I be jealous, I couldn't care less about who you go with," He lied, digging his nails into his palm, trying to prevent himself from saying anything stupid. Unfortunately, Draco was one to give in to impulsive thoughts and he would blurt things out without thinking.
"Oh really? Then why are you pissed that I'm going with Blaise? I don't think its a big deal, but you're acting like it is,"
"How am I acting like its a big deal? I'm just trying to tell you how he is!" Draco shot back,
"Since when did you care? I don't understand why you're acting like you care when you obviously don't! What is your problem, can't you just let me live in peace and make my own decisions??"
"No, I won't. Not unless you tell Blaise that you're not going with him," He said angrily, cringing at his own words.
"Who do you think you are??" She said in disbelief, "Why would I just ditch my date just because you told me to! For all I know, you're just trying to sabotage me!"
"Why would I sabotage yo- oh nevermind," He mumbled,
"Exactly, for the past week or two that I've known you, you've been nothing but insufferable and rude! You're constantly trying to make my life harder than it already is. And you wonder why I won't take 'advice' from you," She got up and left, she was beyond pissed and somewhat in disbelief. Who does he think he is?? Telling her what to do. What a slut.
'''
Draco walked swiftly into the Slytherin common room, and angrily searched for his 'best friend' who he currently resented with much passion.
"Blaise," Draco said angrily and flatly, "how dare you, how fucking dare you."
Blaise already seemed to know what he was going on about.
"Look man, I know you're worked up but I have a reason-"
"No you don't!" Draco snapped angrily, "You know I like her, and you went out of your way to ask her out right? Why would you do that to me?!"
Blaise held up his hands in defense, the two seemed to be oblivious to the stares from their peers.
"Look, Draco c'mere man," Blaise guided Draco to the back of the common room with a shit eating grin. "Just hear me out on this."
"I'm not sure if I want to," Draco said lowly, following him reluctantly.
"Look I asked her out because I have a plan, a super brillant plan. I'm not gonna tell you the details because I know you're not gonna approve... But just wait, you're gonna swoop in at the right time and sweep her off her feet. Okay?" Blaise said proudly with a huge smile on his face.
"No, you have to tell me the details, Blaise. You and I both know I don't trust you enough to make decisions on your own-"
"No you just gotta rely on me this one time, you'll thank me I swear I won't mess this up. Plus, I've dealt with these situations before," Blaise smiled proudly at his words, hoping his best friend would take him up on his offer. He had a good feeling that this would go in his and Draco's favor.
"I... fine. If you screw this up I swear I'm gonna murder your entire family line. This is important to me, she is important to me," Draco warned, pointing a finger at him before sighing in exasperation. "You stress me out."
"I know,"
'''
A day before the Yule ball, Y/n and Draco were still scrubbing cauldrons. Professor Snape decided to prolong their punishment once again, but thankfully he was merciful enough to let them off for the dance the next day. But for now, the two were stuck scrubbing their arms off on the dirty floor of the potions class room.
Y/n seemed to be extremely stressed, scrubbing the life out of her cauldron while half zoned out. She hadn't even responded to Draco's sarcastic remark to her frantic movements.
"Y/n?" Draco questioned, looking at her again genuinely concerned. Her eyebrows were furrowed slightly as her scrubbing intensified. "Y/n."
"Huh?" She snapped out of her trance, blinking her eyes in confusion. "Sorry, what?"
"Are you okay? You're like, acting weird, weirder than normal,"
"Ha ha," She said sarcastically, "I'm fine, just- I dunno."
Draco raised his eyebrows, surprised she didn't have a well prepared answer for him... Like she always had.
"What is it?"
"Why would I tell you," She scoffed, "you'd make fun of me."
He rolled his eyes, "Just tell me I don't care."
She fell silent, contemplating on whether or not she should tell him. "Did you really mean what you said yesterday? That... Blaise would just play me?"
Draco looked up, surprised she was so nervous over something he said. "Um, I'm surprised you actually took my words to heart," He said sheepishly.
"Were you just trying to get through my skin or did you actually mean it?" She said, staring him down as he scowled.
"Both, but honestly... it really has been a while since he's seen anyone. I don't know," Draco shrugged, but genuinely, he truly had no clue. He knew Blaise would play any girl. But this was Y/n and Blaise had told Draco explicitly that he had a plan. And he had no idea what this plan was.
"Are you just saying that because he's your best friend? Or are you being serious, not like you'd actually tell me the truth anyways," She mumbled quietly, Draco looked at her.
"Look, I really don't know. Just… just don't worry about it," Draco wanted to punch himself, wanting to say more but he couldn't. "Why are you worried anyways?"
"It's really not a big deal honestly..." Y/n thought about it for a sec. "It's just a dance," She thought for a few moments before laughing. "It's just a dance it's not like he asked me to date him! I don't know why I was so worried."
She smiled to herself before continuing with her scrubbing. This time she was a lot more relaxed and gently scrubbed in more fluid motions.
"Uh- how are you and Pansy?" Y/n asked, trying to fill the silence. Draco cringed and almost gagged.
"I cancelled last minute, I'm going alone," Draco admitted, slightly embarrassed that he didn't have a date. "She was just so persistent."
Y/n laughed, "I think she's rather pleasant, but yes she can be a little persistant."
"Pleasant? Are we talking about the same girl?" Draco asked in disbelief, a faint smile of amusement painted across his face. She laughed, leaning her head back, silently enjoying their brief bonding time.
"She truly isn't horrible if you really talk to her! I was her potions partner last year. She was a bit insufferable at first I'll have to admit but through it all she's a very genuine person if you take the time to know her," She said, speaking fairly high of this supposedly persistant crazy girl. Draco shook his head and scoffed.
"Whatever you say..."
"No really!-"
"Okay, okay..." Draco cut her off, she smiled in satisfaction. Draco couldn't help but stare back at her with almost a smile, staring into her eyes. He just couldn't help himself but lean in just ever so slightly. She stared back, her lips parted gently as she got lost into his gaze. His gaze flickered to her lips for a second before he turned away, breaking the tension instantly. Her breath caught in her throat before she quickly returned back to scrubbing her cauldron.
"So uh..." Y/n trailed awkwardly, "Do you know what you're wearing tomorrow?"
Draco raised his brows and scoffed, "Why is that all you talk about?" she stared up at him, offended.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that's all you talk about, do you even have a personality outside of that?" Draco sneered, he wanted to shut himself up but after that moment of vulnerability he couldn't help himself.
"I- I was just curious, is that too much? I thought we were actually getting along, why are you acting up now?" She shot back, then she added softly, "Why do you ruin everything?"
Draco, looked at her with disbelief, "I ruin everything? Have you even taken a look at yourself? You can barely contain yourself."
"Now you're just projecting," She said angrily, “Look at yourself right now! You’re barely containing yourself as it is right now. And don’t you dare talk to me like that, you and I both know that I did absolutely nothing and I’m NOT taking your shit today.”
Cleared. Silence filled the room for a bit. Draco then cleared his throat.
“Uh, a tux… you?”
She smiled to herself softly, “I found this super cute pink dress when I was at hogsmeade. It’s gorgeous but not too over the top but not super basic. It’s got this lovely detail design and it’s beautiful,” She spoke enthusiastically, Draco looked at her with amusement.
“Did you only bring up the topic to rant about your dress?” He asked chuckling near the end of his sentence as she smiled sheepishly.
“Maybe…” She said, the two were bonding again. She liked it like this, she liked it a lot actually. Then suddenly a thought crossed her head. “Do you think Blaise likes me? Or…”
“Why are you bringing up Blaise?” Draco said a little flatly, but still curious and interested into what she had to say.
“Because you know him the best,” Draco shrugged and nodded in agreement. “He is rather dreamy I guess, sounds cliche and corny I know. But like he doesn’t act like a player.”
Draco held his tongue, fighting himself internally. Preventing himself from insulting his best friend out of jealously.
“Oh yeah?” He forced out, “How so.”
“He didn’t just ask me to go to the dance and never talk to me again. He talks to me everyday, and he’s really sweet actually. Does he normally do that to other girls?”
Draco’s breath hitched. Whatever Blaise’s plans were, he wasn’t enjoying it. But he trusted Blaise enough not to steal his girl.
“I mean no not normally,” Draco sort of huffed out, frustrated slightly. She examined his facial expression.
“Are you okay? You seem mad,” She asked cautiously, although they weren’t exactly on friendly terms, she wanted to care.
“Why do you care,” Draco said coldly, she seemed upset by his words.
“Why are you being so mean again, we were just bonding like not even five minutes ago,” She said perplexed by his mood swings.
“Bonding? You call that bonding?” He scoffed and laughed coldly, “All you did was talk about your stupid dress and hooking up with Blaise. And look, to lay it out for your small brain. Blaise is gonna break your heart, just because he treats you better than the other girls doesn’t make you special.”
She seems taken aback by this outburst, she seems confused, then hurt, then angry. Her brows furrowed and she looked him in the eye.
“I didn’t say I was special or different, I was just asking you if you thought I…”
“That you what?” Draco asked coldly,
“If I had a chance, okay?” She said quickly, peeking up at his expression.
“Why??” Draco asked with so much confusion.
“He seems like a genuine person, I don’t know…”
“Y/n I thought you were smart, I guess you’re actually insanely stupid. If you haven’t heard, Blaise is a big fat player who’s bored. So all I know is that he’s only asking you because he thinks you’re another pretty face to play with,” Draco said staring her down. “You’re no different than all the girls he’s ever been with.”
Her heart broke slightly at his words, “Look I don’t need you going so low when giving me the truth. And what if you’re wrong? Maybe he really likes me? You’re so impossible, you’re always just making things so hard.”
She kept her eyes down, taking in her embarrassment and and hurt from his cruel but possibly true words. She wanted him to be wrong so desperately.
“Don’t come crying to me when he shatters your heart in a million pieces because I won’t be there to listen to your dumb fucking rants. And your dress is probably hideous like every part of you.”
She got up and left without another word, she couldn’t let him get any satisfaction of her tears. Even though if he had saw them he would feel the exact opposite. Draco didn’t know why he said such cruel things to her. Especially this one, this one was much worse than all the others. And right now he wished he had just kept his mouth shut and listened.

Yule Ball
Part 2
Draco Malfloy
*Doesn't follow timeline*
Words: 2,017
'''
The first day of Draco's 6th year had just started. New classmates, new students, same teachers. But new students meant new blood, and new blood meant new victims. As Draco scanned the Great Hall for any unfamiliar faces, new faces to pick on... His thoughts were quickly interrupted by Dumbledore's voice from his wooden podium.
"Welcome, new and old students! This year, we have an abnormal amount of new students, of course this is not a bad thing. I am very excited to learn about every new student, I expect all students who have been here before to help guide our new scholars. I wish you all an exciting year... Now let the feast begin!" Dumbledore said with a chuckle, the old man waddled back to his seat with a satisfied smile.
"Disgusting..." Blaise mumbled under his breath, "Have you heard? We're probably all going to be separated due to the amount of transfer students and new coming students. Our classes are all gonna be filled with newbies."
Theo and Draco scowled at the thought.
"Imagine having to be some insufferable freak's personal guide because they can't find the toilets," Draco scoffed as Blaise chuckled.
"This is even worse, new students AND confused first years. The amount of questions we will be asked..." Blaise groaned in annoyance, "I hope my potions partner won't be some incompetent newbie."
Draco scoffed,
"At this point I'm just hoping for a random that's been going to Hogwarts. I'm not in the mood to be someone's tutor," Draco held his head up high with disgust at the thought of having to walk through every single step of a potion with a confused newcomer.
"Personally, Potter sounds like a good potions partner right now," Theo joked,
"You've gone mad,"
'''
Draco was overwhelmed by the amount of students in the hall. Yes, it was usually crowded, but this was different. New students flooded the halls, millions of voices asking for directions. Draco prayed for a tablemate that wasn't a new stupid student.
When Draco reached the potions classroom, he was nearly five minutes late. But he wasn't even the last one to make it into the class. At least half of the class was missing due to the hall traffic. Professor Snape looked annoyed, but he understood why half of his students were missing.
"We should've sent the rest of the student body to the bottom of the Black Lake," Snape grumbled under his breath as five new students rushed into the room. Stress painted on their face as they ambushed Snape with gushing apologies, hoping to make a good impression. Snape felt a migraine coming as he yelled at them to get to their seats.
Draco snickered and checked the seating chart. He suddenly felt his body freeze, an unfamiliar name was written in ink right next to his name. His head rose and turned to his table, and he suddenly released a breath of relief. He hadn't recognized the name, but he knew the face... a little too well.
He had seen this face in the hall, he had only gotten quick glimpses of her. But he had a slight hallway crush on her. He knew nothing about the details about her, the only part of her that he knew was her face. He knew nothing about what house she was in, her name, her friends, nothing. He glanced down, hoping to see a Slytherin uniform, but his hopes were quickly crushed by a black and yellow tie and Hufflepuff crest.
She was speaking quietly to Harry Potter, which instantly made his blood boil. His mind searched for possibilities for why she would be speaking to such a lame loser. He walked to the table confidently and placed his items down on the table with a loud slap. She barely flinched and ignored him, but Harry didn't.
"Quit your staring, Potter, or I'll knock your teeth out," Draco snapped in annoyance, as Harry began to retort Snape slammed his hands on his table and the classroom went silent.
"You will be doing textbook reading and you will fill out this 50 question paper about the polyjuice potion. If you do not finish it by the end of class, its homework," Snape said lazily, already exhausted from the start of the day.
"Who even are you," Draco said, masking his curiosity with annoyance and disgust.
"I'm Y/n L/n. And you are?..."
Draco scoffed,
"Draco Malfloy, do you not know?"
"No I don't" She replied simply, and just as she began to open her textbook, Draco slammed it down.
"Well I've never seen you before," Draco taunted, "you're just another Hufflepuff nobody, is that right?"
"Yes, I suppose I am," She said, attempting to take back her textbook, but Draco kept his hand firm on the back of the book, keeping it in place. "What's your issue?"
"My issue is that I'm paired with a filthy mudblood Hufflepuff nobody. I deserve a better potion's partner, I need someone who can actually read." Draco sneered, silently regretting his harsh words. But there was no going back with his 'bad boy' facade. It would be so pathetic of him to suddenly apologize for his behavior. He was Draco Malfloy! He never apologized to anyone, and she is no different, so she didn't deserve any special treatment.
"Okay, then take that up with Professor Snape. I didn't choose the seats, therefore it is NOT my fault," She grew irritated by his insults, although she tried to calm herself down. Not wanting to let him have the satisfaction of her reaction.
"Well yo-"
"SILENCE," Snape boomed, "If either one of you two utter a SINGLE word again its detention for the whole week. I have enough of this bickering and it is ONLY the first day."
She glared angrily at Draco and shoved his hand away from her textbook and began working. The presence of her hand lingered on Draco's hand as he attempted to hide the butterflies dancing in his stomach. He decided that he would try to get her attention, he liked seeing her mad, and he just wanted to look at her.
He kicked her leg and her breath hitched slightly,
"Hey" Draco whispered, "Hey!"
"What?!"
"Give me a pencil,"
"No,"
"Wh-"
"DETENTION," Snape roared, she side eyed him with anger.
"Now look at what you've done," She tugged on her tie, "I literally hate you."
'''
Draco? Draco!" Blaise waved his hand in front of his face as Draco flinched,
"What?" He snapped, his train of thought was suddenly lost.
"You've been staring at that girl for like five minutes. Kind of creepy,  eh?" Blaise snickered as Draco swatted his hand from his face.
"I have not, I don't even know who you're talking about,"
"Y/n L/n? Literally the finest girl in Hogwarts? How have you NOT heard of her, half the student body asked her to the Yule ball already. I heard shes considering going with that one Durmstrang dude," Theo butted in,
"Victor Krum?" Blaise asked, Draco's face nearly dropped as his veins exploded with jealousy.
"No not him, some other kid, he goes to Durmstrang but hes not Krum," Theo explained, "I heard Harry Potter was asking her in potions today."
Draco let out a breath, proud of himself that he interrupted their conversation earlier before class started.
"Are you gonna ask her out, Draco?" Blaise asked smugly as he watched his friend's face.
"I- no, why would I?" Draco said scoffing, "I already argued with her in potions, why would I switch up so suddenly."
"Sure, acting like you weren't just drooling over her five seconds ago,"
"Shut up you prick,"
'''
Later that night in detention, the two were furiously scrubbing the already dirty cauldrons.
"This is all your fault," Draco scoffed angrily, as her eyes widened with disbelief.
"How are you blaming this on me? You kept on bothering me, of course we got detention. You can't keep a hold of yourself," She snapped back,
"If you had just given me a pencil instead of arguing with me, none of this would've happened," Draco said flatly, secretly enjoying talking (arguing) with her.
"Why would I give you a pencil if you started your first impression by being rude to me,"
"Oh please, I was doing you a favor by waving away that Potter fellow for you," Draco said smugly as she shook her head.
"You're ridiculous, and have you not forgotten about how you insulted me like five times," She looked at him, "What did I even do to you? I know you're a bitch but I've literally never spoken to you in my entire life."
Draco was slightly caught off guard, he didn't have an answer. What was he supposed to say? 'I'm only mean to you because I'm too afraid to be nice to you and let my guard down.' Absolutely not.
"Your presence annoys me,"
"That's real sweet, Malfloy,"
"Thank you, love,"
She stared at him for a second before brushing off the nickname, ignoring the fact that made her heart increase it's speed.
'''
As the sky darkened so did the classroom, the two were nearing the last few cauldrons as they were nearing their last straws with each other.
"I can't stand you! You're so stuck up and I don't understand how you have a whole dog pack following you everywhere!?" Y/n shouted as he yelled back.
"Oh I'm insufferable? Look at you! You're so obsessed with being nice and good to people, do you know how lame that is? You're such an insufferable love bug Hufflepuff," Draco sneered,
"Is that supposed to offend me? You spend your free time bullying people! Who's the pathetic one now?" She shot back as she threw down the dirty sponge, she finally finished her last cauldron as did Draco. She began to stand up but Draco snatched her wrist and stood up with her. He got close to her.
"This isn't over mudblood," he hissed as she kept the eye contact,
"You think I'm scared of you? I'm not even muggleborn, you have no idea what you're talking about," She whispered, the tension in the room was thick as the two stayed in the close contact position before she backed away.
"Aw, you couldn't handle a simple staring contest?" Draco taunted, pouting his lips in mockery.
"Ugh, you're so immature. I truly despise you," She said irritatingly as she slammed the door on her way out.
'''
For the next few evenings, the two spent hours cleaning dirty cauldrons and potion bottles. Y/n had gotten used to his stupid comments and insults. She just tuned him out as he grew annoyed at the fact that he wasn't getting a reaction from her anymore.
"Hello?? Can you even hear me?" Draco asked annoyed,
"Yes I can hear you," She mumbled,
"I asked you a question," Draco said as he rolled his eyes,
"And what was that?"
"I asked if you were going to the Yule ball,"
Her head perked up,
"Yes, I am. Are you?" She asked curiously,
"Uh, yeah," he coughed, "Are you going with anyone?"
"Yeah, why are you asking?" she said cocking her head to the side, unsure where the conversation was going.
"Just making conversation," He grumbled, disappointed by his response. "I haven't really talked to anyone other than you for the past few days, so I figured I would make conversation before I went insane from boredom."
"Hm, are you going with anyone?"
"Typically, I don't but I'm going with Pansy Parkinson. She wouldn't lay off unless I said yes," He said annoyed, "She's so insufferable, even worse than you."
"You're so snarky," She responded, "Pansy's pretty, do you know what you're gonna wear?"
"Just a tux, who are you going with?" He asked disinterested, waiting for a name of some lame nobody.
"Well, it was a hard decision-"
"Why, you have so many suitors?" Draco scoffed,
"Yes, I actually do, jealous?" she teased, smiling a bit.
"Never, just tell me who it is,"
"You were the one who interrupted! Whatever, I'm going with Blaise Zabini, he's real charming. I don't know why I haven't noticed him before," she said as Draco's eyes widened.
"Blaise?" He said, taken aback, "He's one of my friends, I didn't know he was into you."
"I didn't either, I didn't even know he knew I existed,"
"Should've stayed that way," Draco huffed, growing jealous and a bit angry. He was going to have a talk with Blaise later.

Oliver Wood pt. 2
Oliver Wood
Tbh I just bullshitted the end, im not that crazy about this oneshot....
Word count: 1,348
'''
You returned back to your common room, your roommate, Luna Lovegood, gave you a confused look, refering to your muddy clothes and messy hair. You mumbled something incoherent before grumbling to yourself all the way to the bathroom.
You avoided the mirror before turning on the shower to a steamy setting. You walked out and grabbed some clothes, unknowingly you grabbed your boyfriend's shirt. You quickly stripped and jumped into the steaming shower. Your muscles relaxed as you contemplated your life and your relationship with your boyfriend.
You loved Oli very dearly, and it hurt like hell after hearing Angelina tell you what he said about you. He was drunk so he probably didn't mean it, but it still didn't sit right with you.
'Drunk thoughts are sober thoughts'
That singular quote repeated over and over in your head until you realized you've been standing in the shower for almost ten minutes, doing absolutely nothing. You quickly finish up and leave the bathroom. You notice your roommates have left the room and you had the room to yourself.
You the heard rapid knocking on you door, it sounded urgent so you quickly whipped open the door. You were met face to face with Oliver. He looked absolutely hammered from his hangover. He pushed his way inside and closed the door, he grabbed you by the waist and kissed you hard. He still tasted faintly of alcohol and he smelt a bit like smoke. You couldn't help but melt into him. But not for long, the remembrance of what Angelina had told you and the fact that he left you all alone in the dark. Where you had no where to go and where you were vulnerable. Death eaters where everywhere. Last week there was a break in, though it was quickly resolved you feared for your life everyday. Most students were pulled out of school by their parents because of the incident. You shivered at the thought of being kidnapped and tortured by a death eater.
You pushed Oliver away and wiped your slick lips,
"You have a LOT of explaining to do. You LEFT me in a field all alone! Have you forgotten what happened last week? Lavender Brown almost DIED, Hogwarts is no longer safe, and you have the NERVE to pull something like this???" you grew angrier with every word as you pointed to his chest. Oliver sighed and looked up at the ceiling, and then back down at you. He pressed his forehead to yours and spoke softly,
"Sweetheart I was drunk as hell, I really didn't mean to do that. I didn't mean to leave you out there like that. If I could go back and take it back I would, I know how scared you are. I will never do that again,"
"Thats not enough Oli, you got insanely drunk and humiliated me in front of all your Gryffindor friends. And no offense, all you fucking Gryffindors and NEVER keep your damn mouths shut. I've had at least ten people come up to me asking about YOU and what YOU said about me!" You backed away from his touch and crossed your arms. "If you had an issue with me in the first place you should've just came to me. You shouldn't have gotten piss drunk and go about telling everyone OUR business."
Oliver looked slightly confused,
"I'm not sure what you're talking about? Humiliated you? What do you mean, what did I say??"
"Of course you don't remember, you were so drunk you were shouting in the common room about how much you wish I was gone. About how much I annoyed you, and that sometimes you wished I was never your girlfriend. Apparently you also said things much much worse than that. But I am not sure if I wanna know what you said." You said coldly, hurt laced your words. Although you kept your tone consistent, Oliver could hear a small break in your words and his heart broke.
"I can explain. I- I actually can't, I just need you to know that whatever I said was mindless babbling. I would never intentionally hurt you and I hope you know that everything I said was shit. I am a shitty person for even getting that drunk in the first place. I'm sorry for humiliating you, leaving you out in the dark. I- I wouldn't know what to do with myself if you got because of me.." Oliver poured his heart out, he loved his girl, she was the most beautiful being to walk on Earth. The moment he had her to himself he decided to devote his entire life to loving every part of her. He couldn't believe how close and how careless he could be to losing his other half, his love, his light, his will to live.
"You shouldn't have been so careless," You said quietly. Your heart swelled slightly with sadness but also appreciation, you read him so well. His face expressed regret, remorse, and love. You knew he loved you, but this one thing contradicted your feelings. "I wish you didn't say those things."
Oliver nearly cried, he fell to his knees and hugged your legs. You looked at him shocked, as he looked up to you pleading for forgiveness.
 "I would never in a million years mean those words. Darling, I'm so devoted to you, you could hurt me over and over again and I would never speak those words and mean it. Because at the end of the day you are who I want, who I look for. I know I am being extremely cheesy... but its truly how I feel. I'm so in love with you and I just want your forgiveness, you're all I want," Oliver gushed out, his confident exterior always seemed to melt when he was around you. Nobody would've guessed that the cocky, confident quidditch captain had such a soft heart.
You took a deep breath and pulled him up from the floor and sighed.
"Baby, you didn't have to do all that. I forgive you, I really do,"
"Oh thank Merlin," Oliver breathed out, "darling, I'm so obsessed with you. I cannot-I will not ever forgive myself for almost losing you like that. I swear on my life this will never happen again."
He stared into your eyes with so much love and want. He kissed you cautiously, you kissed him deeper. You pulled his face in, you rubbed your thumb soothingly against his cheek. He held your waist tightly, never wanting to let you go. He held you tightly against him, appreciating how you forgave him.
"How can I repay you? For being so kind as always, you're too good to me," Oliver whispered shaking his head. "you treat me so well, and look what I'm doing to you."
You stared into his eyes,
"Just kiss me,"
"Gladly,"
You pull him in by his belt looks and capture his lips into a long passionate kiss. You wrap your arms around his neck as he touches your waist, gliding his hands around. Feeling every part of you, hoping you know that he loves every inch of your body.
"I'm never letting you go, I'm never leaving you again, you're never leaving my side," Oliver murmured, more to himself, he still felt horrible.
"You are forgiven, I forgive you," You whisper into his ear as you kiss his jawline gently.
"What else can I do? Let me make it up to you please. I cannot forgive myself unless I give you all I can," Oliver begged, tilting your head so you made eye contact with him. You fell silent, considering what to ask of him.
"Maybe take me out on a date, a nice one," You said, you didn't want to ask too much of him, although you knew he would give you the world if he could.
"That's all?" Oliver asked, quirking an eyebrow. "If I were you, I would've asked myself to beg for forgiveness... oh but I guess I already did that..."
"No, you've already apologized, and I will take your word for it. I love you and I'm willing to give you another chance."
"You're so perfect,"

You did not, in fact, go back.
To your surprise you kept your promise and blocked Tom from your mind, for all you knew he was dead. It took a lot to not go back to him, but after that night you knew you had enough of his neglect. You decided to start off fresh and move out into the city. You went back to school and you were working towards a major in charms, you planned on becoming the new charms professor at Hogwarts. The headmaster had personally reached out to you after he heard the word that you were back in school.
You had also came in contact with a few of your best friends from Hogwarts. Overall you had been doing pretty well. You were living in a small one bedroom apartment with a golden retriever, Daisy. You recently bought Daisy to cure your boredom and loneliness since living alone in the city could get quite depressing. Life was good.
Until the day you heard a knock on your door, and something was telling you that something was very wrong. You had considered not opening the door but you felt drawn to whatever was behind that door. You turned the nob and nearly fell when you saw who was behind the door.
It was Tom. Looking just as handsome and majestic as before. But something was different, he seemed... you couldn't put your finger on it. But something was different, not in a bad way, but something was different from the last time you saw him. Maybe it was the fact that he wasn't mad like the last time you saw him. Or maybe it was because it's been forever since the last time you saw him.
Tom seemed to be awestruck by you, he nearly dropped the bouquet of red roses in hands. He let out a shaky breath as he took you in. Even after everything, you still unknowingly looked at him with the same eyes. The same eyes when he kissed you on your wedding day, and the same eyes that would greet him everyday after work. He missed it, he missed you. He felt guilty, and he hated it. He knew you would never take him back, but he just needed closure.
Tom had found a new outlook on life on his own and he felt as if he really has changed. After you left he wholeheartedly believed that you would be back. But you never came home. You had took everything and the only thing that was left of you was the small gold framed photo of the wedding. He kept it close to him and kept the photo right on his nightstand and he would reminisce every night. He would curse himself constantly for letting you go so easily, and treating you like that.
"What are you doing here Tom," You said coldly, hoping no weakness was showing through your voice. "Who told you where I am."
"I asked around. But listen, I'm not here to convince you to get back with me," Tom said, almost cringing at the confrontation. He still wasn't used to confrontation and apologies. "I just wanted to say sorry, and that I have changed."
"Is this just another one of your manipulation antics, making me believe all that and then you snatch me up right when I'm vulnerable again," You said, your nostrils flared with rage at the thought of giving into him. "I don't know who you think I am, but I am no longer associated with you and I would like to keep it that way. I am no longer naive and I am very very conscious to the fact that you cheated one me and neglected me everyday of our marriage."
"Yes, I know that. I knew that when you didn't come back. But I swear to Merlin that I have changed and I need to apologize to you. I can't live with myself knowing that I didn't even try to make it up to you. That is why I'm here." Tom confessed, he quickly handed you the flowers and shoved his hands into his pockets so you wouldn't attempt to give it back to him. You dropped the flowers on the ground and shoved your hands into your pocket, mimicking his face.
Tom almost laughed, it reminded him so much of his days with you at Hogwarts.
"I'm in therapy now," Tom quickly confessed as you squinted at him, "I wish I had gone sooner, when you first told me to. I know you know that I had a rough childhood and I should've listened to you."
"Is that really it?" You scoffed, "Honestly, Tom, I'm really happy for you, I swear by it. I'm happy that you're not a shit stubborn bitch anymore. I'm happy that you are changing for the better and that you are finding yourself. And I know that I can't change the past, but I really wish you have done this earlier. I wish you loved me enough to change. It's the fact that the only reason why you changed was because I left, not because I was hurting while I was with you."
Tom inhales sharply, he thought that you would at least accept the apology then leave. That was the closure he wanted, and some part of him wanted you to forgive him entirely and kiss him, just like every time he fucked up during your relationship.
"I know, and I'm KNOW I am not good at apologies, but I need you to know that I have changed and I regret everything. I think about it every night, it haunts me-"
"You know what haunts me? Wasting away my life with a man who wanted nothing to do with me the moment I gave myself to him. I regret not realizing that you never loved me, I regret ignoring the red flags. I regret not seeing that you only wanted me in your possession, you didn't want me so you could love me, you never did," Tears whelmed you eyes, just like the last time you fought with him. You hated how he had this effect on you, he hated how he made you feel.
Tom noticed for the first time in your life, he noticed the effect he had on you. He noticed your furrowed brows in frustration and he noticed the tears in your eyes. He noticed your hardened jaw, and your balled up fists. He noticed how you were tense and still as you struggled to keep yourself together.
"You know what I really hate, Tom?" You asked,
"What is it, darling," he softly, you winced, hearing the name he would always call you. Memories flooded your brain as your tears flooded your face.
"I really hate how you decided to show up now. I really hate how you decided to show up when I'm doing well. You really fucking ruined my day. Tom," You cried harder with each word, you woke up Daisy. She wobbled to the door and jumped on Tom, licking his arm.
"I know, I'm sorry," Tom eyed your dog, "Um, I see you got a dog."
"Shut up, Tom you're not helping," You said as you wiping your eyes with frustration. Tom stepped closer to you and held your face with his hand.
"I know that I hurt you, I'm sorry for everything I caused. I hope one day we can make peace,"
"I've BEEN wanting to make peace with you, but you would always disappear off to Lestrange's house or something," You sobbed as your walls fell down, all the pain you've blocked out from the past year flooded your senses. "I hate how you were willing to give the better version of yourself to her. I hate how I have to hurt and I hate how I can't take you back, I hate how I want to love you again. But I can't because you've done too much to me."
Tom felt empathy for the first time in his life. He left a sharp pain in his chest, he felt genuine sadness seep through his body. He felt something in his heart, it felt heavy. And he cried for the first time in his life.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I really am sorry," Tom said with confusion printed on his face and tears fell from his eyes, his voice shook."I don't know whats happening."
"You're healing, Tom. You can feel," You whispered, you felt happy for him, you really did. "I just wish this happened sooner, I wish you had done this sooner so I could love you again."
"I still love you,"
"Don't say that, please, please, don't say that." You cried harder than you ever had before,
"But I do, I don't know what I was thinking, but I never loved Lestrange. I am more than willing to give myself to you. I want to love you now that I can. I want to love you like I should've. I want to love you, I want you. I want you so bad and I wish you could love me too," Tom confessed as he struggled to keep his composure, "I don't understand how I could give you up."
"But you did. You let me leave, Tom. You let it happen. I want you too but I don't know if I can do this again. I am hurt, I don't want to disappoint you,"
"Do you want me to leave," Tom asked,
"I don't know, I want you to stay but I don't want to love you anymore,"
Tom's heart shattered at your words, but he knew he deserved it. He smiled softly as more tears whelmed his eyes.
"You don't have to, I hope the universe decides to let us meet again. I hope one day I can have you again. I hate myself for putting you through so much. But I promise you that if we meet again, I will love you like you deserve. You have me, but I don't have you," You shuddered at his words and put your hand on his hand, which still remained on your cheek.
"Would it be too much to ask if I could kiss you one last time?" You asked, Tom nodded eagerly,
"This time I will kiss you how I wish I kissed you before. I wish all the times before, I kissed you like it was the last time I would ever kiss you. This time it really is our last kiss, and I wish it wasn't," he whispered as he leaned in.
His lips felt different than before, they felt lighter and more cautious than before. He then suddenly kissed you hard, you gasped before reciprocating. You kissed him, channeling your pain, sadness, agony, and anger. You cried as you kissed him, your tears mixed with his. You didn't want to ever let go of him. Tom moved his hand to your waist and his other remained on your cheek. You tangled your fingers into his hair and your other caressed his chest. You wish you didn't need oxygen so you could kiss him until the sun set, and until the world ended. You felt Tom sob into your lips and you just held him closer until you couldn't.
You were the first to pull away, gasping for air as Tom held you close, so close you could barely breathe. But you wouldn't have it any other way.
"I wish I wasn't so cruel," Tom whispered into the crook of your neck, "I wish I was kind."
"I wish that too, but you are becoming kinder day by day. I hope you feel more sympathy for those that you hurt. And I hope you heal one day. When you do, come back to find me so I can love you again," You buried your face into his chest as your heart broke for him all over again. You smelled his sweet scent and tried to memorize it. You reminded yourself of every detail of him so you could search for him. You wished you could love him now, but you knew it was too early in his healing process to do so. You wanted to love him when he was better and healed. So you could love him the best, and he could love you the best.
"I will always remember your kindness for me, and I will always love you. I will be better for you, I will heal for you. I will always remember how you were there for me, and I will always remember how you stayed by my side no matter what. And I'm sorry that I betrayed your trust,"
"I know," You gripped onto his shirt as if he could disappear at any moment. "I hate how you make me feel. I hate how you can do this to me."
"I'm sorry, I hate it too. I don't like seeing you like this," Tom whispered before kissing her forehead.
"Just remember to find me again,"
And after that, after much reluctance, the two parted ways.

Tom Riddle
Doesn't follow timeline
Warnings: Angst, cursing, toxic relationship
Words: 1959
```
It's been three years since you've divorced your husband. Four years since the wedding. Eight years since you first met him. You met Tom during your years at Hogwarts. The two of you were polar opposites, maybe that's why the two of you didn't work out. You were a bright and mostly optimistic Hufflepuff while Tom was a cruel pessimistic Slytherin. But you taught him how to love, sort of. He was incapable to love, but you taught him how to care and that was enough for you. Until his "care" for you turned into obsession, he didn't love you, he was only possessive of you. But you were young and didn't know it then, you're still young now but you've gone through more than anyone could've imagined.
The start of it all was during a potions class when Tom was required to tutor you. You struggled greatly in potions and you were at the edge of failing. Although Tom was reluctant, cold, and monotone with you, overtime you grew on him. The two of you were great friends, you were the only one in the world who had ever seen Tom smile and laugh. Then one night under the stars, after a year of friendship, after a year of slowly breaking through his walls, you kissed him under the moonlight. Of course you felt fireworks and butterflies, but Tom felt nothing but a pair of lips on his. He didn't pull away though, he liked it physically, but not emotionally. The only emotions that submerged from him after that night was possession and obsession. He wanted you to himself but he didn't love you, he never loved you. He was obsessed with your heart but he didn't love it. There was simply no cure for his cruelness, it was something he was born with. He couldn't feel compassion, empathy, anything at all. But you were delusional, you thought you had changed him. You changed him slightly, he became slightly more empathetic and he became better at expressing his feelings. He could pretend he cared, he was so good at mimicking emotions, just to please you.
So after your years at Hogwarts, despite your friends warnings about him, you married him. You married him at the ripe age of 18. You were truly the definition of young and dumb, but who could blame you? He was beautiful, he had a sharp chiseled jawline paired with a dark set of siren eyes. His hair was silky and his Adam's apple bobbed whenever he swallowed. a detail you noticed the first day you met him. But his voice was what you fell for. The sound of hell sounded so similar to wedding bells and the gates of heaven. His voice drew you in, as he spat straight lies about how he loved you so much. At night he would whisper how you made him feel, how much he adored you and the love you gave him. Maybe he really did try to love you, but what he felt was nothing but obsession and the need to keep you forever. But obsession wears off after a while, and that's what happened.
During the year of marriage, you had morphed into someone completely different. It was like you were lost within your body. The only thing on your mind was pleasing your husband, trying to get him to love you, when he never did. You ran around the house for hours on end, cleaning everything you could until the place was spotless. But when Tom came home he just hung his hat on the coat hanger and place alovelesskiss on your forehead and remain mute for the rest of the night. You would tell him about your day, how you took a walk in the garden, and how you went to the bakers and bought him a cake for his promotion party at the ministry. But he barely blinked at your stories. Now that he had you completely wrapped around his finger, he felt bored. You were no longer 15 and giggling at other boys, you were his and only his. He didn't have to chase you anymore, and he didn't have to mimic his love for you anymore. Because no matter what, you would always stick to him like glue and feed off of his validation.
You had completely withered away, you lost all your friends since Tom basically kept them away from you. Your kind and bubbly personality had disappeared into an almost robotic like state. You stopped going on walks in the garden, you had almost disappeared from the face of Earth. It had gotten to the point where people around the small town would ask Tom if you were even alive. You would stay curled up on the sofa thinking about way you could be a better wife, and wonder why Tom no longer loves and pays attention to you anymore. It took exactly one year for the angry, unloved teenager you to emerge to snap you out of your state. Because your 15 year old self would never let this slide. But you were so smitten at the time that even she was long gone and hidden away under a flood of young love and lust. But she was slowly emerging and coming to her senses. It was December 31st, Tom had come home at 11:00pm, five hours later than when he usually came home. And something snapped inside of you.
"Where have you been?" You asked softly but firmly.
"I was at the bar with Abraxas Malfoy," Tom said monotonously, his dark eyes followed until they landed on you. Still beautiful as ever, even when you had completely lost yourself.
"No you weren't. I know you weren't with him because his shop is open until 12:00am for New years. Do. Not. Lie. To. Me." You felt a spark ignite in you, you didn't feel sadness. You felt anger, you knew that you were a trophy wife, you had done everything you could. It was his fault. All the pieces were coming together. "Who were you with? Were you with Ms Lestrange? Your secretary? Or maybe the gardener? Do not test me, Tom. You do not want to know what I'm about to fucking do to you."
"You wouldn't do anything to me, love, you know you love me too much," Tom smirked slightly and came up to you to kiss your forehead, but you swatted him away.
"You know you haven't kissed me in five months, right?" You felt your eyes burn and water, your voice had a slight vibrato. "Five. Months. I thought it was probably because you were always so busy at work and you just forgot. But you are never at work, Abraxas told me that you've been skipping shifts the other day. Care to explain that?"
"Darling what are you implying..." Tom asked carefully, putting on his act of care and cautiousness, but this time you saw right through his facade. You were no longer going to put up with his shit.
"I thought you loved me but you have been acting this entire time. Because you enjoy the feeling of someone wrapped around your finger. All you want is control. YOU CANNOT LOVE. I wish I could've seen that sooner. I gave up everything for you! Did you know I gave up a FUCKING scholarship to America to live with you?!" You said loudly, not yet yelling but loud to get your point across. You had always been a soft spoken person, so this shocked Tom slightly. He was taken aback.
"Now dear, calm down. I'm sorry I lied, I was with a friend we were coming up with new plans for the ministry," Tom reasoned, but you were two steps ahead of him.
"Shut up, actually shut the fuck up. You are NOT going to lie in my fucking face like that. I know where you were. You were with Lestrange, weren't you. I always suspected something but I loved you too much so I pushed it under the rug. But Abraxas told me he saw the two of you together, going to the motel. Don't play with me, I will rock your shit," You warned quietly, keeping eye contact.
"Fine, you caught me," Tom said, all empathy dropping from his voice. His nostrils flared slightly in rage. " But you know why? You are such a people pleaser, how can you expect me to NOT get bored. You are so easy, I got bored. At least Lestrange knew how to keep things interesting."
You were flabbergasted by his words, his words cut through your heart clean. You swallowed the thump in your throat and looked him dead in the eye.
"I was loving you, I loved you so much. I spent all my time on you, I spent everything on you so you could be happy. I wanted to be happy with you, that's why I'm always trying to make things right. But you have done absolutely NOTHING for our relationship. And I wish I've realized sooner, but I never fixed you. You will always be cruel, you have always been cruel. No one can fix you because you are unfixable."
"You are absolutely delusional!" Tom laughed, hard. "OF COURSE I never loved you, I told you that I couldn't love. I TOLD YOU but you thought you could fix me. So I let you, I got a lot in return, not sure about you though."
You pushed him back and ran to the bedroom with tears whelming your eyes. How could you let this happen to yourself? You wished you weren't so stupid and fell for his tricks. You should've known better, you were a tough person, but somehow he had cracked you. You grabbed a duffel bag and stuffed your clothes into them. What made you break was the fact that Tom didn't even call for you. He watched you from the hallway, packing your bags. He knew deep down that he would miss your presence, but he couldn't love. So he didn't care.
You walked out of the room and came close to Tom who hadn't even blinked.
"We're getting a divorce. I'll be staying else where but you'll be expecting papers within the week. I hope you enjoy your life screwing poor women." You seethed, and the stomped on his foot with your heel.
Tom grabbed your arm roughly and pulled you in close, you almost fell. "Don't think you can get away with that." He breathed, though it was lowkey hot you slapped him hard.
"Don't fucking touch me. I'll be back to fuck up your life. I hate you," You said angrily as your tears involuntarily began to fall down your face. Tom wiped your tears almost lovingly.
"Oh darling you cant hate me. You've fallen too deep, I'm sure you'll be back some day,"
"Oh you wish, I'd rather die. For all know you're going to be running back for me because all the other women will leave you. They will all realize you're just a sick fraud with no feelings," Your heart broke a little more as the feeling sank in. You were really leaving him, you were scared but it had to be done. "I have a feeling you're going to do something fucking evil to me Tom, but don't you dare try it because I will win this time."
"If you think you can win over me? We both know that I have you wrapped around my finger and you will always come running back to me. You know that. I know that. Everybody knows, so I don't expect you to be gone for more than an hour."
"You're full of shit, I'm never coming back."
Oliver Wood x Reader
Kind of short, but this is an old oneshot from my wattpad that isn't as cringey as some of my other fics/oneshots.
Word: 1048
~~~
"Can we go back inside, Oli?" you pleaded, it was almost 3am yet Oliver was still partying hard with some other Gryfindors. All of your friends had went back to their dorms to sleep, so the only person you could stay with was Oliver.
You were afraid of walking back into the school alone since you were scared of the dark and lately Hogwarts was not the safest place to be. Voldemort was alive, and yet no one seemed to be phased by that.
"Oli?? Can you even hear me?!" you said loudly as you tugged on his sweater. Oli simply shrugged you off and shot you an annoyed look.
"Fuck off..." His words were slurred from all the drinks he had. Oliver then proceeded to prance over to the twins within a blink of an eye, leaving you alone in darkness with barely any time to process everything through your head.
"Oliver!" you called as you went after him, he knew about your fear but his drunken self didn't seem to care about that. He just kept on prancing around the dimly lighted field with you running after him with paranoia and anxiety flooding your systems as he moved towards the darker areas of the field.
"Oliver please!!! Let's go inside Im scared, please..." you begged as you kept watch of your surroundings, terrified that a death eater would jump out and beat your dumbass to death.
You slowed down as you were running out of stamina. You couldn't run anymore so you stopped and tried to listen to his footsteps in the grass. But they grew softer as he ran further away from you, everyone has already left. The only people you could see were the twins heading back inside the school with their wands lit with light. But just your luck! You had forgot your wand in your dorm. So you stood there in silence trying so hard to hear to any sound.
You heard absolutely nothing as your hands started to shake in fear, you were alone in a dark field with no human being in sight, no wand, no weapon, no flashlight. You slowly got to the ground and tried to calm yourself down and figure out how to get back to Oliver.
Luckily the air was warm so you wouldn't have to worry about dying of frostbite. It had been a good five to ten minutes so Oliver was already long gone. There were no stars in the sky and the moon was hidden within thick dark clouds. You could barely see and you had no idea where the school was as you couldn't trust your self to head in the right direction.
Every soft rustle of nature gave you a mini heart attack. You curled up into a ball in the grass and wrapped yourself up in your jacket to comfort yourself. And as minutes passed you grew more and more exhausted, but yet you were terrified to fall asleep. And you were terrified to go back, scared that you would go in the wrong direction like a blind bat and navigate to the even darker forbidden forest. What if you fell into a trap?? You still remember little Harry Potter telling you about that dark figure he had seen in the forest during detention.
It was probably past 3am, you felt yourself fall asleep in the grassy fields. You tried to stop yourself, but there was no use. You weren't going anywhere because of your fear, staying in one spot was stupid but it was the best option since you were afraid to even twitch, terrified that the slightest noise would attract something horrible to come your way.
. . .
"What's she doing here?" a sweet voice said,
"I Don't know," a deep voice responded.
You suddenly felt a shake on your shoulder and your eyes were then blinded by sunlight. You groaned as you realized you were luckily still in the same spot as you were last night. Nothing has happened to you.
"Sorry to wake you, but we have quidditch practice!" You recognized the girl as Angelina Johnson.
"Angelina?" you said confused,
"Oh honey what are you doing here?? I could barely recognize you, no offense but you're a mess!" Angelina cried as she pulled out a live of grass from your hair. She helped you up and help you get rid of the dirt on your clothes.
"Oliver left me here," you said shakily as everything processed through your head. "H-He was drunk and he started running and I went after him because I- I was scared and then he got away and he never came back!" you said quickly as Angelina pulled you into a hug. She was one of your best friends and knew about your fear of the dark.
"Im sorry sweetie, Im sure he didn't mean it on purpose," Angelina said softly, "but if you want me to, I can beat him with a broomstick."
You grinned and giggled a little bit, before you noticed Oliver stumbling onto the field with bags under his eyes.
He was having a hang over.
"Was Oliver in the common room last night?" you asked curiously, wanting to know if he made it back to the school.
"Yes, he was babbling about how he wishes- oh never mind," Angelina said giving you a quick smile,
"No, tell me," you said looking at her expectingly. She cringed,
"It's nothing good though..." she trailed off
"Just tell me please,"
"...He said that he wishes that- that you could just leave him alone.. then he said some not so nice things about you," Angelina said frowning, "Im so sorry honey, I probably shouldn't have said anything." she said as she noticed your frown and the look of hurt in your eyes.
"No, it's my fault, I wanted to know," you said sighing and rubbing your eyes. "I'll see you later, I just need to get refreshed... thank Merlin it's a Saturday..." You referred to your dirty clothes and messy hair, Angelina nodded and gave you a sympathetic smile.
"Take care of yourself okay? Don't think too much of Oliver, okay? He doesn't deserve to be thought of at the moment," Angelina said before blowing you a kiss goodbye as you made your way back to the school, that was closer than it seemed from last night.
