While Safiya and Amir head downstairs while Emily stays to chat with Anjali and Mariela. The three of them goof around, and Emily tells Anjali some cheesy jokes that make her groan, laugh, and lovingly tease Emily while Mariela says the jokes aren't too bad. They're joined by Amira, who checks in on them, and Emily goofs around with her too.

Meanwhile, Megan sits with Saf and Amir at the table. The three of them eat burgers as they chat, and are joined by Amira's husband Emilio. He chats with Megan and asks how she and Tess are doing. Emilio's always treated Safiya and Amir like his own kids (he started dating Amira 6 months after she and Megan divorced and Megan moved out), and Megan’s grateful that her kids have him as well as Amira around.

Megan, Tess, and Emily then head to Newcrest. Megan and Tess greet their oldest kids Safiya and Amir. Amir smiles as his mom wraps him in a bear hug and kisses his cheek. "Mom, honestly," he teases but kisses her cheek too. Megan hugs and kisses Safiya too, and smiles at her. "It seems like it was just yesterday that your amma and I brought you home from the hospital and now you're taller than me." Megan says sappily to her daughter. Safiya grins at Amir, who rolls his eyes but smiles too. "I know, mom." She says.

While Safiya, Amir, and Emily head upstairs to talk with Anjali and Mariela, Tess and Megan sit down in the living room with Amira, Megan’s ex wife. They chat about their kids, and Amira asks Tess how her job is going. Plus, Megan mentions Iseul and Amira raises a brow. "Iseul Kang? I didn't know you guys became friends." She says, glancing at Megan. "Yeah, her niece Cammy is dating my and Tess’s niece Pipes so we reconnected." Megan says and Amira nods and Megan asks about Amira's parents and family.

Megan and Tess take Emily to the flea market in San Myshuno's spice district. They run into Megan’s dad Haoran there, and he hugs his daugher, granddaughter, and Tess. Megan then tells Emily to keep her phone on and not wander too far and Emily nods before rushing off to the stalls. Megan and Tess chat with her dad for a bit before Iseul comes down from her nearby apartment to check out the stalls.

She sees Megan and Tess and walks over. "Hey Tess, Megs, Mr. L." She says. "It's nice to see you again, Iseul," Haoran says. Iseul smiles, "You too, Mr. L. How are you and Biyu doing?" She asks. "We're good. She was just asking about you, wondering how the wedding planning is going." He adds and Iseul’s eyes crinkle at the corners*. "It's going good. Grace and I are thinking of setting the date for next March so we have enough time to plan." She says, and Haoran nods. The two of them chat for a bit before Haoran heads off to buy some stuff, and Tess checks in on Emily before coming back to talk with Iseul and Megan, and kissing Megan’s cheek.

new(ish) simblr alert!

hey yall, it’s peridotsimmer, i also go by nic. i’m 24, black, nonbinary, and from chicago, and i’ve been playing the sims since sims 3. I’ve been on simblr since 2016 or so! my former @s were thingssim and n1ck1s1ms. i decided to start my blog anew to shed the old content, start with a fresh following/follower list, and to challenge myself to be consistent. i’ve always been drawn to the storytelling aspect of the sims and hope the explore that more. i will be posting mostly ts4 gameplay + storytelling on my simblr.

i do have a story in the works and will be posting more about it later! please stay tuned, i will be trying to post on a semi regular basis.

Kiran and Emily then have a pillow fight, and Kiran grins at Emily. "Ready to lose, Ems?" They tease. "Ha, you should be preparing. To lose, I mean." Emily says, and then winces as Kiran laughs. "Shut up, you know what I meant Kir." Emily grumbles. They start, and after smacking each other with pillows, Kiran wins. "I think you should call me 'your majesty' now." Kiran jokes and Emily laughs. "Nope," she teases back.

After another scary story and a goofy one, Emily and Kiran head to sleep. The next morning, Emily's mom Megan comes upstairs to check in on the teens. She greets her daughter with a cheek kiss, and Emily grumbles but allows it. "Mom, I'm 14. Plus Kiran's right here." She says. "I know Emmy, but you'll always be my snugglebug. I'm sure Kiran's parents do the same with them." Megan says and Kiran nods. "They do, Mrs. Liao-Feldman. Dad calls me his laddoo, which is like a round Indian sweet." They say, and Megan smiles.

The next night, Emily's friend Kiran comes over to the house for a sleepover. Kiran greets Emily with a hug, trying to ignore their racing heartbeat as Emily smiles at them. "Hey Kir." Emily says. "Hey Emmy." Kiran says, pushing their glasses back up. Kiran has a quick dinner of khao niao mamuang with Emily and her mama, Tess. They compliment Emily, who made the dish, and she smiles. "Thanks, Kir." Emily says shyly as Tess glances between her daughter and Kiran and bites back a smile. (Also dont mind the lighting I think I turned off the kitchen light while playing the household and couldn't turn it back on while having Kiran visit), and then heads with Emily to her room.

While Kiran spreads out their sleeping bed and greets the family cat Gus, Emily grabs her pajamas to go and get changed in the bathroom. "Kir, if you play a spooky prank on me when I get back, I'll kick your butt." She says, stopping and turning back in the doorway. Kiran grins. "You're so sweet, Emmy." They tease and Emily quickly turns back so Kiran can't see her blushing. Emily comes back and Kiran tells her a spooky story which scares both of them. "Hey, at least I'm not the one sleeping on the floor next to my talking Dahlia doll." Emily teases and Kiran turns their head to the doll, who's button eyes are creepy enough on their own* but look more sinister in the dim glow of Emily's moon nightlight. "Shut up," Kiran jokes back but they keep glancing at Dahlia.

Megan and Tess head to the Waterside warble for a night out. They sing a couple's song together and Tess laughs as Megan sings off-key but cheerfully. Tess grins as she looks at Megan and sings from the catchy pop tune, "You make my heart gallop like a llama," both laugh in between singing. They head upstairs and find Iseul and Grace at the lot too. Iseul smiles at them and Grace waves. "I thought I heard a familiarly off-key voice. I should've known it was you, Liao." Iseul teases and Megan gives her a look but smiles. "Haha, Kang." She teases back.

The group decides to do some karaoke together, with Megan and Grace doing a cheesy but fun song as Tess and Iseul cheer them on. Tess performs a rock song, and Megan's stomach swoops as Tess gets into it and lets out a growl*, winking at her. Megan fans her face as Grace teases her. "Hey, she's cute," Megan says, blushing. Grace then performs a song for Iseul, Mamma mia 2's version of ABBA's Andante andante. "Take it easy with me, please, Touch me gently like a summer evening breeze, Take your time, make it slow, Andante, andante, and just let the feeling grow**," She sings, blushing as Iseul grins and Tess cheers. Megan smiles too, and she claps for Grace as she finishes. Iseul and Grace head home early, but Megan and Tess stay a bit longer, deciding to sing one more song, a sweet ballad, before heading back home.

A day later, Iseul and Grace head to San Sequoia to purchase an engagement ring for Iseul. The store’s proprietor Daisy greets them, and compliments Grace. “That ring Iseul bought for you weeks ago looks good.” She adds, winking playfully at Iseul, who grins. Daisy gets busy with some other customers, so she asks her employee Chihiro to help the couple out. Grace and Iseul wander around with Chihiro helpfully pointing out rings and styles, and select a simple but pretty silver ring (that I forgot to take a photo of). Grace buys it and gives it to Iseul, who slips it onto her ring finger. She smiles at Grace who has a soft look on her face. “It’s beautiful, Jaan.” She says and Iseul pulls Grace in for a kiss that leads into her nuzzling her neck. Poor Chihiro is so scandalized but she tries to remain professional as she congratulates the couple and asks if they need assistance with anything else. 😳😄

Piper invites Megan, Iseul, and Cece over to her and Cam's place and Megan drives the group over in her car and they're met by Cam's mom, who came over to check up on Cam. Cam's pleasantly surprised to see her mom, aunties, and sister and hugs everyone before letting them inside.

While Piper goes to use the restroom, Cam chats with Paenji, Iseul, Megan, and Cece. Cece teases Cam for the moon eyed look she gets everytime Piper walks into the room, and Cam grumbles but laughs as her family ribs her. Plus, Paenji tells stories of her experiences in college as well as some embarrassing stories of Cece when she was in college. "You called me and your appa at 5am to ask how long you should boil an egg." Paenji teases as Cam laughs and Cece blushes. "Hey, I panicked in my first week living alone." She says.

Megan tells about her experience too. "I got married in my sophomore year, when I was 20, to my then wife Amira. It was definitely chaotic to balance college and life and I regret getting married so early before I figured out who I was and what I wanted," she says and Iseul nods, feeling a slight pang as she remembers seeing Megan and Amira on their college campus a few days after the wedding.

Megan was standing by herself in the English hall, where students would gather to wait for class to start. She still had her henna and was glowing and beautiful. Iseul watched as she showed off her henna and wedding ring to some classmates and smiled as she answered their questions. Iseul was about to call out to her to say hi, but then Amira walked over and pulled Megan into a long kiss. It killed Iseul to see Amira kissing Megan the way she wanted to, but she'd shoved those feelings down and had rushed into her classroom as soon as the doors had opened. The whole period, she'd felt moody and sad, unable to focus on the lecture. Her mind kept drifting to Megan and all the what ifs.

After that, she'd avoided Megan and Amira and was glad when she heard from her and Megan’s mutual friend Kajol that they'd moved off campus and into their own apartment. They'd graduated and Iseul hadn't seen Megan for a long time. They'd reconnected a few years ago, and although Iseul isn't in love with Megan anymore, they've become friends again and now Iseul considers Megan one of her best friends along with Steve, Kajol, and Zara.

Iseul snaps out of the past now, as Megan teasingly adds to Cam, "So I know you love Pipes but don't rush into anything. Figure out who you are and your interests and let her do the same. When you do get married you can be each other’s companion and friend and feel a close bond and be your own people outside of the relationship*." She adds seriously and Cam nods. "I know, thanks auntie Megs." She says.

Piper’s auntie Megan invites her and Cam to the spice festival happening in San Myshuno. Cam declines, saying she wants to finish up a project for her robotics club and then head to sleep early. So Piper heads there by herself, and is pleasantly surprised to see Cam’s auntie Iseul as well as Cam's older sister Cece. Cece’s checking something on her phone and auntie Megan and auntie Iseul are chatting with each other as Piper walks over.

Cece pulls Piper into a hug first, and smiles. “Hey Pipes, you look so pretty.” She says and Piper smiles shyly. “Thanks, Cece, you look pretty too.” She says before Iseul gives her a hug. “Why the hell didn’t Cammy come with you?” She asks playfully as Megan now gives her niece a bear hug. “She has a robotics club project due next week that shes working on.” Piper says, and Iseul grins at Megan. “She doesn’t get her discipline from me.” She jokes. “Definitely not, I had to remind you a day before that our presentation on poets was due.” Megan teases back. “Hey, I ended up getting a C+,” Iseul says, and Megan rolls her but a smile plays at her lips.

Megan, Iseul, Cece, and Piper walk around the festival grounds and eat samples of spicy food as they talk. Iseul talks about her upcoming wedding to Grace, and Cece tells them about how she and her wife Hanh are trying for another baby. Plus, Cece asks Megan more about herself, and Megan tells her about her kids, Tess, and how she works as a professor. "Auntie Iseul has a lot of stories involving you in college." Cece jokes, and Megan grins. "It makes sense, I was the cool one in college while she was the nerdy one." She jokes, and Iseul gives her a look before laughing.

While Cece goes to use the restroom, Piper sits and talks with Megan and Iseul before running into her and Cam's friend Casey, who's at the festival for a bit. "Mal loves the Siopao they sell so I'm grabbing a few for her and for Lilia." She says after hugging Piper. Piper asks her how Malaya and Lilia are doing and Casey's eyes light up. "Good, Mal's going back to finish college, her moms agreed to watch Lili for a few hours while she's at class, and Lili is doing well, she has Mal's sassiness and smarts but my sense of humor and tendency to be clumsy." Casey says, grinning and Piper smiles too.
