I loved the old Chicken of the Sea mascot, Catalina the Mermaid. It had this beautiful mid century modern style; real stippley with a limited color palette and brushy strokes. The company updated the it in 2011 to a more generic and boring design. I miss the beehive.

There should be an episode of Bluey where the parents obsessively watch a kids show that their own kids like just fine but don’t use as therapy.

Growing up, my Aunt Karen used to sing me and my cousins the song “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady”. It was written by Yip Harburg and Harold Arlen and probably most famously sung by Groucho Marx in the 1939 movie “At the Circus.” I love it! It’s very silly and a little wink-wink dirty (“Captain Spaulding exploring the Amazon” might mean something else 😂) Also, it was Jim Henson’s favorite song which is delightful to know.
