Thought of a kinda silly Criller/Kross AU where Cross defects from Nightmare's gang and joins Dream's- only for their party to later capture and hold Killer prisoner. The others wanna kill him for his crimes, but Cross (And, deep down, Dream) convinces the others that Killer can change.

Something something they start Killer on the path to be reformed, to which *eventually* Killer gives in and actually starts doing (totally not because he loves Cross or anything haha)

I feel like the whole AU would be filled with small moments between Cross and Killer, like Cross teaching him about gentleness- and how hard it was for him to learn it too.

I think Killer slowly, over time, starts to get used to life with the others and starts being better and better. He's still Killer- that much can't really change- but that small sliver of himself, the past self, yearns for a kind of peace he's never had before.

I think eventually, the two would also help mend things between Nightmare and Dream. Despite Killer warming up to Dream after so many years of hatred, I think his loyalties still lie with Nightmare. He's been through and seen lots of stuff over the years he's probably worked with the guy, so he's probably the only one in meetings or normal chat that actually defends him.

And I think Dream eventually recognizes that and starts quietly coming to him with advice for his brother, which causes the two to bond and disnxjdkxnxuf

I think Dream would be a little sad he missed the Nightmare of recent years, and I think Killer feels bummed out he couldn't help the Nightmare from the past.

Think there would also be a time where Cross sometimes relapses into old habits which the others scorn and scold him for, and Killer is the one which stands up for him and knows how to handle it (since he's probably seen it all the time, in a worse form, back when they both worked for Nightmare). Same thing if it was reversed the other way- Cross easing tensions between everyone and making sure Killer's alright.

I don't know, I just feel like no matter where they are, they get each other the most. They may have had different pasts, different circumstances, different everything- they're still so much alike. That can cause them to butt heads sometimes, sure, but I feel like they understand despite the fighting.

do you guys ever get too scared to post ocs because you’re worried that their design or story isn’t cool enough

And then someone posts their OC/sona that looks super similar to your OC, even though you’ve technically made yours first

And now you’re scared of posting them because you’re afraid someone is gonna try and compare the two, because someone will always do that if they look similar enough

Do you guys ever feel that way or am I just really really stupid

this was only supposed to be a cute lil clink doodle but it was late at night when i started so i fell down the rabbit hole on this one, so behold my madman scrawlings once more ( '')/

honestly not that really a creature artist so had a bit of a tough time, but i did some a bit of research into irl animals that i could draw inspiration from

i tried to find out if there was any rodent or even just a mammal that could burrow or dig through rock, to no avail. but! there are molluscs that do! they're called boring bivalves, and it did take me a moment to click that they mean "bivalves that bore into rock" and not "check out this absolute snoozefest of a sea creature" lmaoo but yeah. they produce an acid that erodes the rock below them and they basically drill down.

when i initially thought about the clinks and their tunnel colonies, my only ideas were that they did just dig with their claws through the rock and it was soft enough or their claws were hard enough or they were patient enough to get through; or they cast acid attack lol. i didn't really like the acid idea tbh because it felt kinda cheap i guess? but then i remembered the skimmer venom.

and it made me think a little. like maybe the venom is a more evolved, more intense version, or even the same just increased capacity of that acid?

i did struggle so much comprehending where the venom spur is though, and this has happened so many time smh. like i have no idea why but in my brain it has always been at like, the elbow??? i dont know why. maybe because sometimes dragons have spurs there. but it's never said that in the books obviously. and then when i went to check it said "above the claws" and i just genuinely have no idea what that's supposed to mean lmao. i ended up drawing inspiration from the platypus's own venom spur, which did end up looking like i gave skimmers a thumb which i was trying to avoid but it is what it is.

oh yeah i briefly wondered if they ever like collected any venom?? i dont remember it specifically. tallus and sholto do seem the type to have done so. if we go with this headcanon train of thought, then i suppose it could be used in construction or whatnot to remove stone obstructions or something ya know? or you know. kill someone. aNYWAY

last thing is that in my researching for burrowing rodents, i ended up choosing the prairie dog for a base on the clink design, no particular reason why.

Minor real talk though—

I think the goofiest/awful thing ever was the time I went to go visit my extended family and going to an Asian market— where the cashier asked if I was from out of state (specifically asking if I was from the south). When asked how he knew, he just laughed a little and said that I had an accent.

I DIDNT KNOW I HAD AN ACCENT BUT I SURE DO HAVE AN ACCENT CRYING AGONY 😭😭

Ready for a fight between bots? Here we have The Battle Bot arena! Hosted by the star of the season GraPE!

Our host, GraPE, is the star of the season and featured in the brawl pass, alongside his skin: "King of the Ring"

The other brawler released during the season is Clink, known as "The Walking Prison". However, here in the arena, he's known as "Shark Tank"!

Here are the competitors: The "Cursed Dragon" Barley, with blazing fire, The "Black Scorpion" Injurr, with his deadly stingers, The "Reap-Pairman" Lou, with tools that help fix but also destroy, The "Razor Tutu" R-T, dancing then attacking with saws attached to his head and body.

The Power League skin from the season is another competitor: The "Sandbox Ladybird" Pearl ready to fight and maybe make cookies to make up for the battle afterward. (spray and profile picture would be the other PL rewards)

What's this? There's 2 new fighters for the tournament. They don't seem familiar. Wait, this is Chuck and Cordelius disguised as Dr. Chuck and Popcordelius to help crack down the bot fight! What a twist!
