Haven't been feeling great about my art, so please send me the stupidest requests you can think of so I won't feel bad about the results.

A discord server I'm in regularly hosts art telephone games (artist A makes a drawing and shows it to B, who then makes a drawing and shows it to C, who then etc) and I finally got a chance to take part in one.

Went with the spookier side with my entry. I like to imagine this as spunky the protagonist of some action/horror cartoon about kids fight monsters after school, and the villain of the week is a haunted TV that eats people to add to its broadcast.

About 3 months later and I finally managed to finish the second part of my Destiny Trio fusion designs. A combination of life stuff getting in the way and having to restarting several times until I got a pose I was happy with. It do be like that sometimes.

As mountains are where the land and the sky touch I have thus nicknamed this fusion Yama. You may have noticed he’s got a bit of an odd expression on his face. There’s a reason for that… after the cut.

I like drawing character fusions, but I haven’t gotten a chance to do it often. So as a bit of shameless self-ingulgence I decided to try my hand at that hexafusion meme that was somewhat popular some years ago, this time using the Destiny Islands trio from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. I chose their original KH1 desgins in particular because I personally prefer them over most of their other looks (with the exception of Riku. His DDD look is perfect).

The rest are currently a WIP, so for the time being allow me to introduce you to the fusion of Sora and Kairi, which I have nicknamed: Suihei (sky + ocean = horizon).

A rock golem character I designed back in March as a commission for a client's TTRPG campaign. I didn't post it here in case a player from said campaign decided to check out my blog at the worst possible time, but I've been told this character has since shown up so it's free real estate, baby!

Fun fact: The proportions are vaguely based on a cortical homunculus (because reasons), hence the enlarged hands and lips. I didn't want it to look too human, though, so I merged the mouth and nose into a beak-like structure and replaced the ears with stalacsides [patent pending]. Either way the inspiration isn't that blatant in the final design so all this aside amounts to in the end is a scheme to trick you into making a cursed Google search.

I keep beating myself up for struggling to keep my art consistent but like, why is that a goal I set? I did one style test and then went "yeah sure, this is how I'm gonna draw now" as if you could just reinvent the way you draw on a dime like that. I need to experiment more, I need to have fun again.

I also need do more figure drawing and anatomy practice because I've kinda been slacking on that regard but suuuush

I think I have art block.

It sucks.

This comic is really highlighting just how slow I am at sketching. On the plus side I've finally started doing daily gesture drawing sessions in hopes of combating this exact problem. Let's see how long I can keep this streak going.

Picked up work on a 4 page comic I started drawing 5 months ago that I had to put on hold after my hard drive decided to fail on me (it's since been replaced, don't worry). If all goes well you should see it in about 3-4 weeks.

I've been trying to not post so many sketches here in an conscious effort to convince myself to make more finished illustrations, but it's really been bothering me that I never posted Coney/Magenta's magical girl design so here you go, haha. I'll get around to making proper character design reference sheets eventually™, ok?

aka I finally had time to draw the third member of the Gamut Trio. Out of the three, she ended up looking the most like her previous design not that you can tell given I haven't posted said design anywhere. As for her magical girl form, currently I only have a few sketches. Let's see if I can find some time to work on it next week.

A character I designed for an art game, following the prompts "gold," "roses" and "scarf". I tried going for the vibe of mysterious love interest (who is secretly evil but has a change of heart near the end).

Coincidentally, I finished the artwork on March 14th, which is White Day in several countries (day where you reciprocate gifts you received on Valentine's). Anyway, here's some Valentine's edits I did on a slightly older version of the art that I don't have the patience to fix.
