my clef headcanons bc i can’t sleep

- very competitive. has probably punched a hole in his computer over a call of duty game before

- general asshole to his coworkers but i think he’d be nicer to the younger staff/new recruits. probably calls them fatherly pet names like “kiddo” or “kid”

and (if he likes you) he does silly dad things like ruffle your hair and give you advice you didn’t ask for

- has a hat collection

- says stuff like “bacK in my day!!!!1!1” “when i was your age..”

- i call iceberg stinky but clef might be stinky man #1 of the foundation. there’s a reason why i always draw him in the same musty red hawaiian shirt it’s probably growing a whole ecosystem in it by now 😊

- if in the presence of a small child he would say cryptic shit like “it only gets worse from here” “start investing in crypto while you can.”

- has sharp ahh shark teeth that could bite ur arm off if ur not careful

- smokes but only when he’s stressed

- kondraki had to put a lock on his alcohol cabinet bc clef kept stealing from it

- scary when he’s mad

- simultaneously good with kids and also terrible with them. if you ask him to babysit your child he will probably lose them within 5 minutes but like he’s also the cool dad who will let you stay up past your bedtime and eat junk

but like this is also the man who tried to kill 239 we’re talking about so 😒

- his third eye doesn’t blink, he can close it if he wants to but it’s not necessary

- this is more of a comfort hc than anything but i’d like to think he snuck into meri’s containment cell one time while she was asleep and played a song for her on his ukulele and to this day she and no one else knows 😊😊 sobs

While I was going through my old school papers today, I found one of those trick quizzes that high school teachers who think they're terribly clever like to hand out – you know, the ones with a long, complicated series of instructions where the first instruction is "read all instructions in full before following any instruction other than this one", and the final instruction is "disregard all instructions other than first instruction and this one", and you lose a point for each preceding instruction you actually carried out – and now I desperately need to come up with an in-universe rationale for an SCP Foundation containment procedure article to be structured that way.

To those who saw my last post or are interested in an SCP Foundation card game, I have completed the first two decks of cards, one for the foundation and one for the chaos insurgency, and will commence with play testing them soon. So far, the rules are in a simple state, and the game is "playable" to my knowledge. Let me know if you would like to join me in this game development project!

my biggest headcanon in general is that there are front companies for the Foundation, so sometimes they dont only just pick the best of the best from colleges or picking random scientists (or other fields of job) from their crowning achievements.

sometimes they purposefully set up "job applications", run a small trial and pick the ones that match their criteria than introduce them to the Foundation that way.

#also makes it much more realistic #instead of picking up people from universities #who are usually quite young #they pick up actually professionals that were able to get hired in the first place #it's a self selecting selection process #scp #scp foundation

not a fan of how like newer scp fans kind of ignore the fact that most if not every doctor is at least A Little Bit Ugly in canon. like. clef is repeatedly described as not conventionally attractive, if not outright unappealing physically. kondraki isnt exactly conventionally attractive either, repeatedly describing herself as fat and (at the very least) a bit unattractive. also all of them are in their mid-late 40s to early-mid 50s. you cannot tell me these people are conventionally attractive. thats the devil talking
