As his dad reassures him once more that he's alright, Scorch gives a slight nod and accepts that's all he's going to get from the man. He's not exactly thrilled that he's not telling him what's going on, but Scorch has reluctantly grown to expect nothing else from his father. He goes to leave, but pauses when hears him speak once more.

"I personally thought my hair looked amazing," he states easily, knowing full well he went to Frenchie specifically because it was an atrociously done haircut.

Who decided that Billy was capable of actually being a fucking father? This was a horrible life choice. No only had he nearly been killed several times over the last few years, there was always that fear in the back of his mind that he was going to be like his father. How many people had told him he was always like the man? How many times had he said it himself? Billy sighed seeing the look on Scorch’s face. “Ain’t anythin’ for you to worry about. Just got into a little bit’a trouble.” With a certain flag cape wearing cunt. It was fine. Wouldn’t even be the last time.

Wasn’t hard to tell the kid was worried. Fuck. He was kind of shit at this.

How does your OC behave when enraged?

Scorch is typically one to bottle it up. He might be irritable and snap at people, but he usually doesn't get violent. That being said, if he sees people he loves getting hurt or even insulted, he'll snap and beat the shit out of any and all offenders the best he can.

Scorched's eyebrows furrow as he looks at his father through squinted eyes. "I... yeah, okay, fine. I just..." he trails off shaking his head and sighing. What difference would it make if he had said he was worried about him? Not a bit. He plops onto the seat nearest him.

"Just forget I asked, then."

He reaches for the remote to turn on the television, skipping through seemingly every channel to avoid news or commercials.

"Is Uncle Frenchie around soon? I wanted to ask him to cut my hair again."

Of all the things for… Fuck. He was going to kill that wanker next time he saw him. Alright maybe not. He didn’t have a signal clue what he was going to be able to do other than they’re usual Butcher trying to do some damage only for Homelander to laugh in his fucking face. God sometimes he really wished he let MM shot him. Maybe he could still get the man to do it. He knew that he was chopping at the fucking bit to. He used to anyway. Since the kid came along MM seemed to have pulled back on the idea. Fuck he hated how this whole shit worked.

Taking a deep breath before turning back to the kid putting on his usual smirk. “Yeah. Let’s not get too deep into it.” Because he really didn’t need to have that conversation with him. Didn’t want to and he didn’t need to hear some of the things they got up to. Violence or otherwise. Though he knew that their fights were not well hidden. Apparently neither was this fucking boot print.
