That One Person

Fuck that one person you keep trying to avoid You’re being obvious that you don’t want to talk to them yet you keep on getting annoyed.  Can’t even chill on your facebook feed without having to fucken dip cuz that friggen bitch keeps showing up and just doesn’t know when to quit. Like bruh when I said I would message you sometime, that was obviously a fuckin lie, you don’t need me and i don’t want you and that is totally fine, don’t pout and whine when I don’t want to hear you bitch about your problems cuz I seriously can’t fucking solve em’. Give it up already, how obvious can I be before being straight up fucking mean.  I had to fake our friendship for so long just to keep the peace but now that im outta there, i need you to fuckin leave.  I was never trying to offend you but now you’re making it impossible not to,  We’re not best buds like you think we are, you’re pushing it a little far.  The fuck am I supposed to say when you’re up in my face like “HEYYY”  It’d be nice if you could stay away, and even better if we could keep it that way.

A Fire in April

I’ve only met about 3 of you before, The other 10 or so are new. I sit and listen to you talk and sometimes join in too. There’s stories and laughter, One after the other, A lively group of people from all places of the earth, Some of you have visited Morocco and Cairo, Some of you have given birth. So many things I have yet to experience, Some of it I will never learn, But as we are gathered around this pit today, Having a fire the week before May,  I sit and smile, to soak it in for awhile,  That I’ll surely remember this day. The Aurora Borealis made an appearance in the sky, I am glad to say that I wasn’t high. As insignificant as it may have seemed,  This night brought out pure contentedness from me,  And sometimes that’s all you need. To sit and enjoy the company of good people, Treated as an equal, Though the age gap could be equivocal. There’s something about that fire we had in April, That makes me look forward to another,  The nights that I can stay up late, And treat a stranger like a brother.
