PSA TIME! If you have a dog/leash agressive or reactive dog, don't just bring them to a pet store without taking any precautions! I know that reactive/agressive dogs really need proper socialization and training, but please be prepared and proactive if a situation arises. This PSA is brought to you because Nina had a very close call at work today. I was working the register with another associate and I had to walk by their till to grab something for a customer I was ringing up. As I walked back, I heard a snarl, skittering feet, and felt Nina pressing against my legs as the people my coworker was ringing up forcefully pulled their cane corso back. I didn't see anything else, but I took a moment to pull Nina aside and check her for injuries, which she thankfully didn't have. I learned from my coworker later that the cane corso had lunged at and tried to bite two other dogs in the store and had reactivity issues. Again, thankfully Nina wasn't injured or even shaken, but my anxious ass can't ignore that things could have gone worse.
