Who is Stranded_Tammy

Hey I'm Stranded_Tammy. I’m a small-town Alberta girl who moved away from the drama and danger of fleeing a violent and toxic relationship. I wound up in a tiny village on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I am a 31-year-old single mom of a beautiful 10-year-old. I am a dog mom, a Gemini on a spiritual journey, a student and a domestic violence survivor...wait... let me correct myself... I AM A WARRIOR!

I met my abuser at 15. I spent years dealing with the consequences of being with a drug addict and struggling to try and raise a child while keeping all the “things” that entails together. I was trying to do what was right... keep my family together. I was wrong. Very wrong!  

On August 8, 2018, after almost being killed I left. Since then, it has been a journey and I want to share this journey to help others who face these issues. The same ones I have; in hopes that talking about it will be the first steps in the ultimate initiative. Fixing these issues so no other human must die from Domestic Violence, Addiction or Mental Health struggles.

Domestic Violence, Addiction and Mental Health are all very real and affects many of us. The correlation between the 3 is staggering and when we talk about one of them, we need to talk about all of them.
