rei huffs out a little laugh at the feeling of your hand around his wrist, his lips curling into a gentle smile as you give his arm a little tug and incline your head towards the door. he gives the room one more look-over—his presence didn't seem to be particularly urgent, he decides—and he lets your hand lower until it's enveloped in his own.

"well then, my love," he mutters, low enough for only you to hear, "we best be off then, no?"

he lets you lead him away to a little alcove under the stairs away from prying eyes, and just before you let go of his hand, he gives yours a little squeeze. rei raises his opposite hand to cup your cheek, brushing his thumb lightly over your lower lip. "my, my," he says, teasing, his breath warm as it fans against your face, "i wonder what it is we're doing here, my love."

and, before you can answer, he finally presses his lips against your own.
