wait some of y'all don't think that death was narratively satisfying??? he spent the entire season rotting away and sloughing off of (and OUT of) bodies he was not meant to be in, grasping at a life he had outlived because he was unwilling to let go, literally got ripped out of the HEART of the world he tried so hard to destroy and then that world summoned up a 5 second rainstorm to boil him alive and burn away his facade of humanity so he could grovel at the feet of a witch and then get stomped into nothing by the denizens of the world, symbolizing the people he hurt by enforcing the covens, people ostracized and punished for not conforming, and the titan he used to manipulate people with by claiming he knew its will. what's not clicking

Hello! I’d like to request a rottmnt (Casey, cass and April too if you want too!) Headcanons x reader (both crushing on each other / pining) and reader is extremely clumsy? And gets bruised so easily (seriously, I noticed last night I bruised my palm / fingers pretty bad and I don’t even remember how I did that, like, nothing major happened, just BOOM hand got hurt) and they try to hide it or not make it a big deal cuz they doesn’t want to “cause trouble” or worry anyone, and they get really bashful with ppl taking care of them?
Please and thank you, hope you have a good day

Raph
He knows before you even tell him.
He subconsciously searches his brothers, what makes you think he wont search you?
Eventually when you are forced to tell him while he was patching you up, he gets a little upset.
Regardless, he understands. (Being the eldest and all.)
Don't think he doesn't check on you extra though.
Weekly checkups, also comes with weekly cuddles and kisses.
Warns you if there's anywhere you can get injured from a mistake.
If he see's you fall or bump into something, he'll check the area around 15 minutes later to see if it bruised, it's going to be bruised regardless.
He never runs out of supplies?? What logic is this??
Regardless, total sweetheart.
Leo
To be honest, he only notices after a week or two after a hard mission.
Are you not healing? Are they new?
When you go to get your bandages changed, he asks you about them.
You explain and he lets out an 'ooh' before pouting.
You, a hassle, a burden? That's the dumbest thing he's ever heard.
Gets ice for your bruises right away whenever you bump into stuff.
Prevent the bruising as much as possible, right?
Throws his hand out when he see's you're going to hurt yourself.
Always ends up with him trying to lean over the table and falling himself.
Mutual pining? Nah. Mutual idiots. /aff Bonus:
His medical supplies keep going missing. Wonder where they went.
Donnie
Please. For the love of god. STAY OUT THE LAB.
Clumsy + chemicals + metal = owchie.
Knew about the clumsiness and bruising, not about how you felt.
Taking Dr. Feelings instructions, he tries to comfort you.
He ends up messing up and saying something goofy, you suddenly can't take him serious anymore.
Later in your relationship, he gains the habit of giving your bruises a small kiss. (It started with you bugging him about how your "boo-boos" needed kisses.)
Guides you away from dangerous things without you realizing.
He isn't good with words so, unlike his brothers, he'll straight up tell you while helping you that you are not a burden.
Actions may be more powerful than words but, words get the point across easier.
He does his best, he's trying, I swear.
Mikey
Poor guy doesn't notice the bruises until after you open up.
Don't think he didn't notice you shying away though. He is Dr. Feelings after all.
Mikey doesn't quite have enough skills to patch you up so he goes to Leo, to stay safe.
Regardless of excuses, you are in fact scheduled for a meeting with the Dr. himself.
After said session, expect affection statistics to go HAYWIRE.
He has a shell, you can't get hurt if he's clinging onto you, right?
Plus, more love!
Asks Donnie if there's anything scientific behind the injuries, he just wants to try to reduce it as much as possible.
Simple cuts or scratches?
You get the "feel better" band-aids. (Band-Aids with motivational sentences on them. Prescribed by Dr. Feelings himself.)

Ooh, Lina is an Aurora kin~? 👀 (Fr tho. Its hard being an IXXP type in a world where people seem to just naturally know how to socialize. What do they even talk about? I had always found small talk pointless and boring.) Ooh, I suppose Aurora does share similarities with Vance in a way! I think its because Vance is the youngest child in his family which is why he wants people to stop treating him like a child, whereas Aurora is the oldest child and wants the kind of love that only children receive. And you're pretty much spot on as to why flowers grow towards Aurora! XD (Probably the same reason why animals are attracted to Silver.) I'm thinking of tying this little thing to a deeper lore reason, but haven't fully fleshed it out yet.
Yes, Xue Mei has likely been underestimated in her childhood. This is a reference to Mulan of course, but I don't want to make Xue Mei's dislike for being underestimated just about gender. Maybe she isn't the most talented, but she's hardworking and goal-oriented, making her frustrated when people think she can't do something? 🤔 I'll think about it.
Adsjjdnfoiscs Lina, Chandani is not as deep as she seems. All of my RSA merfolk are the most normal, untraumatized ocs I have ever created. Chandani's quote is a reference to Alice in Wonderland, and I was thinking she says that after some character development. As the peacemaker middle child of her family, she is usually soft-spoken and lets her siblings take the limelight. But something happened one day that put someone she cared about in danger, and in a fit of desperation to save them, she activated her UM and took care of the threat. Then promptly passed out for a few hours. I haven't got all the details down yet, but I plan to write her backstory one day. 😄
DNDJSKSJDJSJ i do share some similarities with aurora, but i don't think i have the same mischievous and chaotic energy as them! i actually think that if i kinned one of your ocs, it would be violet predictable i know and oh, that part about aurora and vance sounds interesting! :O though i think vance's family members treated him like that not really because he was the youngest, but because of that injury he got when he was a child, so they became too overprotective of him and even strict.
and about xue mei, yeah, it's actually a bit hard to think about backstories when your ocs are based on disney characters, because you want to make them similar, but also.. some backstories are just not it. i definitely felt that with roland and hayden, because roland is based on a cute garden fairy who doesn't really have a backstory and hayden is based on a dude who's not really a good villain and you can learn his backstory only from a novel but his motivation is still kinda meh.. i can't really explain how i came up with roland's backstory, it just made sense to me, but with hayden's backstory i just went "okay, so what if he still has a big family and he's still the youngest, but he's not a royalty or anything like that? i don't really want to make him a country boy like epel though.. hm, how can i make his family have this "creepy vibe" to them? and how can i explain his ability to manipulate and use everyone? OH I KNOW HIS FAMILY IS ACTUALLY A CULT" also i have a non-fandom oc who's a lot like hayden, so i used some parts of his backstory as inspiration. in the end, i don't think roland and hayden (and also some other ocs of mine, like merrill and jay) are not that similar to their disney counterparts, but hey, that's what makes them original! i still have ocs like vance and allen who are pretty much the same as their counterparts, IT'S JUST THAT ALLEN IS A DARK VERSION OF ANNA HSJKASKDJDJ
and really?? i thought that chandani has some DEEP as the sea LORE SHE HAS A DEEP BACKSTORY but she's actually just?? chilling?? I WAS ABOUT TO COME UP WITH THEORIES AND ALL SDHJAJKKSKS and oh.. for some reason i didn't recognize that quote.. ironic because i have an alice-inspired oc HONESTLY HOW PEOPLE EVEN FIND AESTHETIC QUOTES THAT FIT THEIR CHARACTERS MY AESTHETIC QUOTES ARE JUST "haha taylor swift lyrics" but hey, we love to see at least some of your ocs not having a tragic backstory <3

Sorting things out with Wanda made everything return to normal in no time. So much in fact that she decided I was worth inviting to her and her brother's birthday party.
Never in a million years did I expect the most popular girl in our grade to know who I was, let alone invite me to her birthday party, so to say I was surprised was an understatement.
"It's not a big deal if you can't make it," she said when she handed me the invitation in class. "I mean, I'd love it if you could, but yeah, no pressure."
I was in awe, accepting the invite and reading it quickly. It must have been a pretty expensive party if she was giving out special invites, that's for sure.
"You want me to come?" I asked, still unsure whether this was a joke or not.
"Only if you want to," she said quickly, eyes darting around the room and anywhere but at me. "Like I said, you don't have to. It's not a big deal and– I– yeah." She pressed her lips together and stopped rambling, offering me a small smile.
"Thanks," I said quietly, slotting the invite in my notebook. "I'll, er, I'll think about it."
She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and faced forward, nodding. "Yeah, sure, no rush."
After that awkward conversation, I discovered she'd also invited Y/BF/N, the two of them developing a little friendship the more she'd hung out with me. He didn't mind going, but only wanted to do so if I went.
"I feel like I kinda don't wanna go," I admitted to him after school as we were studying in the library.
"Oh?" He rose an eyebrow. "And why's that?"
I played with the pencil in my hand. "I don't know, it's just– it's gonna be full of all of her other friends. And they don't really like me. Plus, her dick of a boyfriend is gonna be there. I just think she might have invited me to be nice. Like she might have felt like she had to because we sit together, y'know?"
"I think you know that isn't true," he said knowingly. "Maybe, just maybe, she actually wants us there, wants you there, to celebrate her birthday."
I chewed the inside of my mouth, giving it some thought. But the idea of going to Wanda's house party and seeing a bunch of people I didn't care about getting pissed wasn't comforting. Besides, even if I went, I'd probably see Wanda once before she'd get scooped away by Nate. What was the point?
"Nah, I don't think I'm going," I decided. "She won't notice. I'll just get her a present instead."
Y/BF/N sighed, clearly not impressed with my answer. Nonetheless, he said, "Okay, suit yourself."
"You can go if you want," I added, knowing his presence wasn't linked with mine.
"No Y/N, no party," he said with a dismissive shrug, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Such a good friend," I said teasingly, but there was truth to my words. And I knew he knew that.
When I saw photos and videos of Wanda and Pietro's party all over my social media the day after, I knew I'd made the right choice in not going. It was the same visuals of everyone getting drunk, doing stupid shit and making a mess. Call me a loser, but that wasn't really my scene. Pietro and Wanda both seemed to enjoy it though, judging from the pictures.
Instead, I bought her a birthday present, knowing I didn't have to but I kind of wanted to, and planned to give it to her when she turned up to class. It was her birthday today, despite throwing the party over the weekend, so I hoped it would make up for my absence (thought I doubted she noticed).
She showed up and settled beside me as I was writing the date in my notebook, making me look up to see she'd made an extra effort to dress up for her birthday, looking fancier than usual. I couldn't help but smile at the giant '18' birthday badge pinned to her jacket.
"Happy birthday, Wanda," was the first thing I said when I saw her. "You look amazing."
A bashful smile appeared on her lips. "Thank you, Y/N."
"I hope your party went well," I said, giving her my full attention whilst trying not to drool over how beautiful she looked.
Surprisingly, her smile faded and her eyebrows knitted together. "Yeah, it did... could you not make it? I tried looking for you and– yeah..."
I opened my mouth to speak, admittedly a little embarrassed that she'd caught me out. I was sure she wouldn't notice – the pictures made it seem like there were loads of guests, I'd definitely have blended in if I were there – but clearly I was mistaken.
"I just thought–" she began, before shaking her head. "Never mind."
"Sorry, I thought–" I started, but like her, didn't know what to say. "Parties aren't my thing," I admitted truthfully. "But it looked fun. You enjoyed it, right?"
She nodded, a small forced smile on her lips. "Yeah, right. It's cool. No biggie."
I swallowed awkwardly. It seemed like a biggie and now I felt bad.
"I, er, got you a gift," I blurted, hoping to change the subject. Reaching into my backpack, I pulled out the terribly wrapped present and held it out nervously. "I hope you, er, like it."
Her eyebrows raised as her eyes flickered between the present and I. "Oh? You didn't have to. I wasn't expecting anything."
Was it hot in here or was it just me?
I pulled my collar away from my neck, hoping to circulate some air. "I wanted to. It's not a big deal."
She accepted the gift, fingers brushing mine and making me even more nervous, before opening it up. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she revealed a brand new leather paintbrush carry case.
"The one you always carry around is tattered and falling apart, so I thought I'd get you a new one," I explained, feeling like I had to. "I mean, unless the other one has some sort of sentimental value, then in that case, I can just return this."
"Are you kidding? I love it!" she exclaimed, looking to me with a grin. "It's beautiful, Y/N. I don't even know what else to say."
My shoulders relaxed, a relieved smile tugging at my lips. "Good. Th-that's good. I'm glad you like it."
Without warning, she moved forward off her stool and wrapped her arms around my shoulders, pulling me in for a hug. I was startled, unable to think straight with her body pressed so close to mine and her floral perfume wafting into my nose. Why did she have to smell so good?
"Thank you," she muttered, pulling away but not quite letting go. Her eyes were glowing as they watched me carefully, accompanying her weak-in-the-knees smile. I was sure I'd melt. "It means a lot."
I nodded, not trusting myself to speak for fear I'd say something stupid. I resisted the urge to look down at her lips, which were pulled into a small, appreciative smile. She let go of me, looking to the case again and unravelling it. I caught my breath meanwhile, my senses still on override as her perfume lingered.
She was just so damn beautiful.
"Okay, how about this – robotic or organic aliens. Which would you rather invade our planet?" Y/BF/N asked.
I chuckled at his question. "Definitely haven't thought about that one, but let's see..."
We were hanging in the bleachers out near the football field as we waited for football practice to end. Y/BF/N had a Film project to do and needed to film the field, so I offered to help like the good friend I was.
"Probably organic," I answered as I balanced on the bleachers, standing up and tiptoeing down them like steps. "At least we could reason with them if they tried to kill us because they'd have a conscience. Robotic aliens would just be programmed to take over and that's it."
Y/BF/N seemed against the idea as he played with his camera. "Yeah, but if they were robotic, all we'd have to do is launch a missile at them and they'd explode. You can break metal. It's harder to break organic matter."
I stifled a laugh. "You've given this much thought, I see."
He gave me a knowing look. "You telling me you don't think aliens exist?"
I stopped tiptoeing and stood still as I looked down at him with humoured eyes. "You know I know aliens exist."
He waved his hand like that was enough reasoning. "There you go then!"
I laughed, wondering how he thought of this stuff, then continued to balance as I walked down the bleachers. Probably the wrong choice as when I heard a voice call me, I looked up, saw it was Wanda, then proceeded to miss a step and fall onto my arse.
"Oh God, Y/N, are you okay?" she asked, moving forward to help me.
My face heated up as Y/BF/N laughed his arse off beside me. I accepted Wanda's hand and let her pull me up, before letting go immediately when I could handle it myself. Her presence always made me nervous, but this was just terrible.
"Yeah, I'm good," I said, glancing at her and freezing at her piercing gaze and suppressed smile.
"You sure?" she asked, glancing at Y/BF/N, before trying to hide her own laughter.
Fuck me, why was I such a mess whenever she was around?
"Very sure," I said, though my back began to ache from where I hit it. "What's up, anyway?"
Y/BF/N finally shut up, to my relief, and Wanda minimised her laughter before scratching her head.
"I'm waiting for practice to end so I can take Pietro home," she said, nodding to the field. "I saw you both sat here and thought I'd say hi. Are you guys watching practice?"
"Not really," I answered, before tilting my head to Y/BF/N. "We're just waiting for it to end so Y/BF/N can film for his project."
"Ooh, that sounds interesting," she said, intrigued and looking to him now. "What's that about?"
As he caught her up on it, I found myself checking Wanda out without realising. She was animated as she listened to Y/BF/N talk about his assignment, eyes giving him all of her attention, and a permanent smile was fixed on her lips as she listened to him. Though it wasn't directed at me, I felt butterflies swirling a storm in my stomach and clutched it, hoping they'd go away. I loved and hated the feeling all at once.
Breaking me from my reverie, a football flew past all three of us and hit the bleachers, startling us all. We looked in the direction it came from and saw the football team looking back at us, some laughing and some disgruntled. Two players ran towards us and when they got close enough, I made them out as Pietro and Nate.
Nate was laughing as he looked between us all, before his gaze fell on me. "It's Y/N, right? I feel like I'm always throwing that thing at you. Sorry about that."
But his constant laughing and lack of guilt refuted his words. I merely clenched my jaw and narrowed my eyes his way, not that he seemed to care nor notice. I was a mere fly in a world that revolved around him. He'd never notice.
"Babe, I'm sorry, I didn't even know you were over here," he added, looking to Wanda. "You okay?"
Wanda crossed her arms and seemed frustrated. "I'm fine, Nate. Just get your ball."
He shrugged and grabbed his ball. Before leaving, he pressed a kiss to Wanda's cheek which made me wince, but she made no attempt in enjoying it. He didn't seem to care as he took off running back to his team. Pietro smiled apologetically at the three of us.
"I'm sorry," he said genuinely. "He can be such a dick sometimes."
That was the understatement of the century.
With that, he turned and ran back to his team to finish up. Wanda sighed, running a hand through her hair, as Y/BF/N and I exchanged glances.
"I should get the car running," she said awkwardly, pointing a thumb over her shoulder and towards the car park. "Good luck with your assignment, Y/BF/N. And I'll see you tomorrow, Y/N."
Waving goodbye with an awkward smile, I watched her leave and wondered the same thing I always did whenever Nate decided to make an appearance in my life.
How could she be dating such a dick?
Apart from the birthday party I didn't go to, I'd never been invited (or had a reason to go) to Wanda's house. I'd seen it, rode my bike past it, but never actually been in it. So, when she invited me to her place to work on a project we'd been assigned in class, I was unsure how to feel. She was adamant though and I had no reason to say no, so the only thing left to do was say yes. Even when she offered to drive me there after school.
"This is your car?" I asked with disbelief.
I knew absolutely nothing about cars, but I wasn't blind. Hers was a gorgeous deep red colour with a convertible roof that was currently lowered so anyone in it would feel the sun on their back and wind in their hair.
"Yeah, you like it?" she asked as she got into the driver's seat.
I gulped and sat in the passenger's seat, throwing my backpack at my feet. "It's so nice. You sure you don't mind me drinking in this?"
I had a Pepsi bottle in my hand and was deathly afraid of opening it now in case I spilt it and the cleaning bill would be more than I made in a year at the pizza parlour.
She laughed, already pulling out of the car park. "Of course. Don't be silly."
I glanced in her direction, trying not to get distracted by how good she looked in the driver's seat. She was wearing a red leather jacket, funnily enough, matching the exterior of her car, and she had dark eyeliner around her eyes, accentuating the shape and colour of them and leaving me speechless whenever she looked my way.
"There's CDs in the glove compartment," she was saying as she focused on the road. "Or you can mess around with the radio. It's up to you."
"CDs?" I asked, it piquing my interest. I reached into the glove compartment, adding, "What is this, the 2000s?"
She rolled her eyes playfully, accepting my teasing, as I flicked through the small stack of albums.
"I don't know, I guess I just like having the physical version," she said with a shrug. "It's kind of like a collection."
I chuckled at her need to explain herself, watching the way she rubbed her neck nervously, smiling with embarrassment. Looking back to the albums, a particular one grabbed my attention and I plucked it out with raised brows.
"Oh my God, you like Paramore?" I asked, looking to her with surprise. "Now it's definitely the 2000s."
Her cheeks flushed as she grew flustered. I nudged her in the side gently, getting her attention briefly.
"I'm kidding," I reassured, tilting my head her way playfully. "I actually love Paramore. They're my favourite band."
"Really?" she asked with surprise as I put the CD in her car. I hummed in response, to which she continued, "Have you ever seen them live?"
As For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic played quietly in the background, I nodded my head. "Yeah, once. It was a few years ago, but the tickets were shitty and I could just about make them out on stage in the distance."
Wanda laughed, the sound making my heart skip a beat. "No, that's so sad!"
I chuckled in agreement. "Yeah. It was, but oh well. They have a tour coming up this summer, right? Maybe I can get better tickets this time 'round... what about you? Have you ever seen them live?"
She hummed, making a turn at some traffic lights and chewing her lower lip as she focused on doing so. It was definitely the wrong time, but I found myself admiring how attractive it was, especially when her jaw tensed and her defined jawline was on display.
"Yeah, I saw them a few times," she finally responded, pulling me from my stupor. "Some really good seats, some really shitty ones." She giggled at the end, making me smile. "Maybe we could go to that concert in the summer. If you're up for it?"
This seemed like one of those times where you made plans with a friend that you knew would never happen, so to not cause an awkwardness in the conversation, I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, maybe."
She glanced at me and I mirrored her smile, the flash of excitement in her eyes knocking me breathless.
When we reached her house, I was awestruck at how big it was from the inside. I mean, it looked huge from the outside, but the inside was even better. Her family were rich, I knew that, but this was some other level of rich.
"Here, c'mon, I'll get you a drink, then we can go into the dining room to start," Wanda said, failing to recognise my amazement and instead leading me to the kitchen. "We have tropical juice, apple juice, water, Sprite, Cola... which d'you want?"
I settled at the island, taking a seat and subtly admiring her kitchen. "Er, apple juice is fine with me."
She smiled brightly before pouring me a glass, whilst pouring herself some Sprite. Standing opposite me, we both took a moment to have a drink, but didn't get chance to exchange words as her mum entered the room and noticed me instantly.
"Y/N, it's so lovely to see you again!" she said kindly, patting me on the shoulder before heading to the fridge. "You girls hanging out? Studying?"
"We have a project," Wanda filled in as I nodded in agreement. "We alright to claim the dining room?"
After grabbing some water from the fridge, Wanda's mum pressed a kiss to her daughter's cheek. "Sure thing, sweetie. If you need anything, just let me know." Smiling once more at me, she said, "It's good to see you, Y/N."
"You too," I said with a friendly smile before she left.
"Come on," Wanda said, motioning for me to follow. "We have tons to do."
The next hour and a half was spent with Wanda and I planning out our project, our work sprawled along the dining table messily. We were making progress, until she got a call suddenly. It seemed serious as she gave me an apologetic glance and excused herself. I let her go and leaned back in my seat, wondering what I could do as I waited for her to return. That thought was resolved quite quickly when Pietro popped his head in the doorway and spotted me.
"Y/N! What an honour to welcome you to our humble abode," he exclaimed, entering the room fully. "What brings you here?"
Pietro's presence always brought an amused smile to my lips. "Wanda and I are working on a Chemistry project. She's just nipped out for a phone call."
He tutted dramatically, crossing his arms. "Well, well, well. We can't have that! Wanda needs to learn to entertain her guests. C'mon. I was about to head to the gaming room and could use the company."
I was visibly surprised. "You have a gaming room? Dude, that's awesome!"
He laughed. "C'mon."
Joining Pietro, the two of us headed to this so-called gaming room and I was not disappointed. There was a huge TV with a PlayStation and Nintendo Switch connected to it, a snooker table, a foosball table, a dart board, some old arcade games – it was amazing, any gamer's biggest dream.
"What you feeling, princess?" he said with that flirtatious smile of his.
I rolled my eyes playfully. He was being overtly flirty, more so than his sister was – was it a Maximoff personality trait or something? – and I wasn't sure whether he meant it or was just being his usual self.
"Are you flirting?" I deadpanned, tilting my head curiously. "I can't tell."
He pocketed his hands, swinging back on the heels of his feet. "That depends. Is it working?"
Despite my lack of interest in him like that, I felt my face heat up at the attention. "Pietro, I must tell you that any moves you attempt to make kind of won't work."
"And why's that?" he asked, sitting on the edge of the snooker table with a cheeky smile on his lips. "Am I not your type?"
"Unless you change into a girl, then no," I played along, making him flush with embarrassment. "Hate to break it to you, but I'm gay."
"Okay, I guess that makes sense," he mumbled to himself, before sighing and meeting my eyes. "We can still be friends, right? Or is that forbidden since you're already friends with my sister?"
I laughed and approached him. "Friends works. I don't think Wanda will care. I certainly don't."
He grinned. "Awesome! Well, d'you wanna play a round of foosball?"
"Sure," I said with an amused expression. "Bet I can kick your arse."
He pushed himself off the table and feigned surprise. "Oh? Game on, Y/L/N."
I didn't realise how long Wanda had been on the phone until I managed to get through three rounds of foosball and was in the middle of a snooker game with Pietro.
"You may have beat me at foosball, but you're terrible at this," he pointed out with stifled laughter.
I'd missed my third shot and it was more funny than it was embarrassing.
"Your talking distracts me," I said dismissively, before lining up the next shot with my cue.
He watched as I tried to take my shot before sighing loudly. I glanced at him with a quirked brow.
"You have a thought you'd like to share?" I asked playfully.
He hesitated, moving forward to correct my posture. "Look, if you just aim it like this–"
"Don't even think about it, Romeo," I said jokingly, standing up straight and pushing him away gently. "I know what you're thinking."
He laughed. "What? I was just going to help you aim!"
I gave him a knowing look. "So holding me close is just a bonus?"
"Fine, take your shot without my help and see what happens," he said dismissively, waving his hand.
"I'll do just that," I said with confidence, before bending down and taking my shot. The ball hit the other and neither were pocketed, which was an achievement as I'd got the cue ball in several times before, but still pretty shit as I didn't score any points.
Pietro smiled with satisfaction, leaning on his cue. "You happy with that?"
I held in a laugh as I looked to him. "Shut up."
He chuckled before bumping me out the way. "Now for the professional."
Bending down to take his shot, he pulled back his cue before hitting the balls. They rolled around on the table and one ball was about to go in, but I quickly grabbed it before he could get the point.
"Y/N!" he shouted between laughter. "That's cheating!"
"Technically we didn't establish rules," I pointed out, before moving backwards as he tried to grab it from my hand. "What do you say to calling it a draw and playing something else?"
"I say that's a childish way to admit you've lost," he responded, before moving forward quickly. I dodged his attempt and he pursed his lips. "Y/N."
"Pietro."
He smirked. "Seriously?"
I grinned.
He tried to grab it again and ended up chasing me around the room as I avoided giving in. Taking the piss out of Y/BF/N enough times had prepared me for moments like this, so I was able to avoid Pietro long enough to run into whoever walked through the door.
"Shit, Wanda, I'm sorry," I said between laughter, steadying both me and her.
She smiled with confusion, about to speak, but Pietro caught up to me and lifted me up, throwing me onto the couch before I could protest.
"No more cheating," he said sternly, as I lifted my head from the pile of cushions on the couch to look up at him.
"You're an arse," I said, pushing myself up off the couch.
"And you're a sore loser!"
We had a mini staring competition before the two of erupted into laughter.
"You're not half bad, Pietro," I complimented as he helped me up.
"Thank you, princess," he said, the flirtatious smile on his lips again.
I shoved him in the shoulder playfully before looking to Wanda, who was chewing on her lip as she looked between Pietro and I with an unreadable expression.
"So, what prompted you to leave Y/N alone for an hour?" Pietro asked, wrapping an arm around my shoulder, making me shove him away. He grinned at me before looking to Wanda.
"Nate called," Wanda responded carefully, arms crossed as she continued to look between us. God, I hoped she didn't think Pietro and I liked each other. That would be embarrassing.
Pietro scoffed from beside me, making Wanda sigh with annoyance.
"Don't start, Piet," she said and gave him a look which he seemed to understand.
By the sounds of it, Pietro didn't seem to like Wanda's dick of a boyfriend either. That was strange since wasn't impressing the brother the first part of being in a relationship with someone? And they were on the same football team, so I figured he'd at least tolerate him.
"Are we alright to get back to studying?" Wanda asked, directing her stare to me. The annoyance she held for Pietro was still present in her eyes and I suddenly felt nervous when she looked my way.
"Yeah, of course," I said, before giving Pietro a half-smile. "Rematch at snooker next time. Sound good?"
"Try to keep the balls on the table and we'll see," he teased, before nodding to Wanda. "You should get back to your project before Wanda kills us both with her deadly glare."
I smiled awkwardly, looking back to Wanda as she was indeed glaring at her brother. Clearly there was some sibling rivalry going on here, and I definitely didn't want to get in the middle of it, so I headed to Wanda, signalling I was ready to leave.
The two of us headed back to the dining room in an uncomfortable silence. I felt like I'd done something wrong and she was giving me the silent treatment which was strange. Then I figured it was probably something with Nate that made her annoyed, so didn't question it too much.
We sat back down and I looked at what we'd done so far to try and pick up where we left off, but then she spoke out of the blue, taking me by surprise.
"Do you like my brother?"
It was so abrupt that I took a moment to acknowledge it, blinking. "What?"
"Pietro," she clarified, saying it with such dismissiveness like it wasn't a big deal. Her attention was on the books before us as she continued, "Do you like him?"
I tried not to laugh as I shook my head. "No, Wanda. I mean, don't get me wrong, he's a great guy. But yeah, no, I don't like him like that."
She chewed her lip, nodding, but I swear I saw a hint of a smile on her lips. I hoped it wasn't the thought of Pietro and I that made her annoyed. I wasn't that bad, was I? I know she cared about her brother and was probably overprotective, but me being his girlfriend couldn't have been that bad, right?
We got back to work in no time, getting a lot done. I didn't realise how late it was getting until Wanda's mum poked her head in, asking if I wanted to stay for dinner.
"Dinner?" I asked, eyebrows raising with surprise. I checked my watch and realised how long I'd been here. "Damn, maybe I should head back."
"Nonsense, you must stay," her mum insisted. "Y/M/N won't mind. A daughter of hers is a daughter of mine."
"You can even sleepover if you want," Wanda offered, and I almost choked on my own spit. "It's getting pretty late."
I shook my head, forcing a small smile so they wouldn't get offended. "Honestly, it's fine. I can head back."
"Please?" Wanda asked with a hopeful expression. "It's the least I can do. I kinda wasted your time for an hour earlier..."
"I should ask my mum," I said, chewing on the inside of my mouth.
"Oh, I'll ring and let her know," Wanda's mum said breezily, before looking to Wanda. "D'you think you can clear your things up? Your brother is gonna set the table."
"Sure, mum." Wanda smiled her way as she left, before looking to me. "I've got clothes and a spare toothbrush you can use tonight."
I smiled awkwardly, nodding. Sleeping over at my crush's house wasn't how I thought I'd be spending my Wednesday evening, yet here we were.

What are some of your favourite Glee ships and why? I'm thinking like... top five? Or more if you feel like it :)
ooh this is a fun one because anything after my top ship can and will change at the drop of a hat lmao
1: brittana
hopefully this will come as a shock to no one aksdjhfsk,,, brittana is actually a ship i found out about before i watched glee. like i would see all of these compilations on youtube of glee moments out of context, and idk how exactly but it led to seeing clips of brittana. i remember being salty bc some of my friends at the time had seen glee and not a single one of them told me that there was a wlw relationship i would've liked lol.
but yeah there's just something really compelling about getting to see these two girls who start out as background characters with funny one-liners grow into an actual couple that gets happily married in the end. especially because i don't remember really seeing any wlw relationships get any kind of focus or open acknowledgement before brittana? at least not any relationships that lasted more than a couple of episodes? and maybe i just wasn't watching the right shows bc i only started watching glee less than 2 years ago lol but their development on the show, while very flawed thanks to the writers, was just super special for me. and it still is. i have a lot of love for them and even though i haven't drawn much brittana lately, i'd like to think that my love for them shows in some of my older art :)
also? wanting to draw brittana is what got me out of months-long art block and depressive episode where i just did not have any inspiration or motivation to draw anything, and it quickly became the catalyst for so much of the artistic growth i've made over the past almost 2 years. idk if that means much to u guys but to me it really means the world and i don't think i even have the words to explain it asksdhfk i just. i love them a lot.
2: hevans
ok listen to be completely honest, i don't think about hevans that much but once in a while i think about s2 hevans and how that would've been so nice? like,,, s2 sam was so refreshing because he arrived at a time where i was used to seeing the glee boys (finn and puck in particular) being like "oh we get called gay for being in glee club and associating with kurt, a gay kid :( and that's bad :( we don't like the idea of being seen as gay :(" and sam just did not care. he didn't care that singing a duet with another guy might be seen as weird, he didn't care that he might get bullied for it, he just cared that kurt had a lovely voice and he wasn't gonna go back on his promise to sing with kurt. and then we got rumours and kurt not even hesitating to keep sam's secret, even though his friends immediately accused him of cheating on blaine. idk hevans just had this bond in s2 that wasn't explored enough after that, and then sam was dumbed down in s4 and onwards and ugh i miss s2 sam goddammit fuck the writers for turning him into whatever the fuck we got in s4-6
also hevans makes me consider an artist!sam x model!kurt au? like when i drew kurt as the boy with a basket of fruits i could picture sam being a painter and having kurt as his model/inspiration, and i have a second very unfinished wip based on another painting in the same vein. lowkey veering into a picture of dorian grey moment now lol but is that not compelling??? i can't believe i only thought of that just now aksdjhf i love that book,,, also there's yet another painting i'd like to redraw as hevans but who knows when i'll get around to it
3: quinntina
i don't think the writers were ever gonna give us quinntina and idk if there are even many quinntina moments in the show aside from like,,, teeny tiny background moments here and there. also the show butchered them both so i'm not basing this ship in canon at all. i just think they would have an interesting dynamic i guess? popular girl quinn fabray and shy tina cohen-chang possibly wishing they could switch positions for a while because quinn is exhausted from all the pressure she puts on herself and tina wonders what it would be like to be in the spotlight? slowly bonding in glee club because tina realises quinn isn't the bitch tina assumed she'd be, and quinn finds it refreshing to be around a sweetheart like tina? indulging each other's dramatic moments but also keeping each other grounded? the mental image of tina helping quinn dye her hair pink? that time in s6 where we got half a quinntina duet in jagged little tapestry, which for the record, i think would've been a mashup of so far away and ironic? (also, vb au quinntina sharing the brain cells of the friend group?) idk i think it would've been nice and i am once again cursing the writers
4: wildebrams
i don't have much of an actual explanation as to why i like wildebrams because it feels like i haven't seen s4-5 in forever, but iirc their relationship allowed us to see a much softer side to kitty and i really loved that. like,,, kitty being nervous about committing to a relationship but then opening up to the glee club about her feelings for artie? wholesome shit i love it
i can't think of anymore ships rn because i'm not deeply invested in any ships besides brittana but this feels like a solid mini list. i feel like im forgetting a lot of the big ones so feel free to specify any other ships you'd like me to talk about :)

For your undercut verse, how did you come up with the names for Bakugou's friends from junior high? I love them!!!
Ooh!! Anon, how did you know I absolutely obsess over names?? Anyways!! For all the names, I use this handy-dandy little website called Tangorin. It's the absolute love of my life and it's saved me SO much time.
For most of the crew, I started out by picking out certain traits I wanted to be represented in their name, whether that pertains to physical appearance, personality, or Quirk. However, for some, I also picked names that were thematically sound or had certain reasoning behind the naming. Both of these are very reliant upon the kanji I use to spell the names, as well.
There are plenty of examples within the Katsucrew alone for all these reasonings, so I might as well just go over all of them, huh?
So, with Kariage, his name was actually pretty easy to come up with. For him, I was looking for a name with any particular meaning, I just wanted one that I could validly take Kariage from. As some of you already know, that's the name the Japanese fandom came up for him, courtesy of his hairstyle, and it's since become decently known in our little corner of the fandom. And thus, if you rearrange the name I created for him in the Western way, it'll give you ashiKARI AGEi.
Unintentionally, however, I did give him a name that represented him in some way. His surname has kanji that give meanings that align with his personality (relaxed, quiet), and his Quirk (in how he must apply many techniques, and often uses it to trick opponents). His first name also gives insight to what he'd do as an Underground Hero (hunt down criminals, raid villain bases, gather intel.)
With Kanji, her name came about due to it having a primarily thematic purpose. The kanji I used to spell it have the meaning of perfect motive, which in terms of importance to the story, emphasize how she, before all else, is the one who inspires Kariage to be the very best he can be. She is the reason he wants to become a Hero, and for the longest time, she was the only thing keeping him going. It's a pretty minor thing, since not many people care for the meanings of names in a story, but it was one of the first details I ironed out, and one that I believe makes the storyline just that much more enjoyable for me.
As for Yasushi, the name I settled on actually wasn't the first one I thought up for him! The first I had in my notes was actually Sashi Terunobu, and admittedly, I do like how this one aptly described his Quirk in the name (quite literally meaning finger and stretch). However, when I went through much investigation on whether Katsuki's childhood friends had canon names, I actually found an info book that listed Yasu's canon surname as Dehisa, and had the first part of his given name (Ya) shown. Since I didn't quite have a lot of room to work with, I did the best I could, and thus ended up with the name I have for him now. While not as exact as the first name I thought up, I really like how his canon surname has the meaning of long time, as it comes across as rather accurate in regards to how long he and Katsuki have known each other.
With everyone else, I had a good amount of wiggle room, though! Seika's pretty unique in how long it took for me to pick her name. In the end, I settled on the names I thought fit her best. Her surname described her most prominent trait (large eyes) and personality (radiant, sparkling) pretty well, and her first name did so much justice in regards to explaining her Quirk on the surface level (blue/green vortex), so while it took some time to settle on something good, I'm happy with what I decided for her.
Henshuu's name was the most difficult to decide, I think, out of everyone. Many of the meanings I wanted to include in her name weren't quite compatible with kanji, so it was hard finding loopholes and attempting to piece together something cohesive. In the end, her surname effectively described her Quirk (salt bubbles) and her given name included both a reference to her appearance (braid/plaits) and a surface level understanding of her personality (in how people tend to flock around her).
Out of everyone, I think Mito's name is the most cohesive. It's actually quite funny how succinct the meaning of her surname is in regards to her Quirk (literally fire hand, I love it), and her first name is rather lovely in how it potentially describes her hair (beautiful orange). Overall, I like the simplicity of Mito's name most out of everyone, excepting maybe Kanji.
Lastly, Hifue's name is one that gave me a bit of trouble. Her last name was found quite easily, actually, and I do feel quite proud of how it outlines her Quirk (small, float and mind, air are the most prominent meanings, which is pretty great since her Quirk is literally floating small things through the air with her mind so). Her first name is one I wasn't quite satisfied with because it was really a last minute decision, but it grew on me after a while. After all, it does tie into how her Quirk works (two fingers must be outstretched for her Quirk to work), and I now adore how much it describes her now that I've fleshed out her character and story a bit more (flourish, prosper, and splendor are all very apt, in my personal opinion.)
Anyways, I feel like that's everything!! In summary, I pretty much picked certain traits and vibes I wanted to shine through and went with it!! I'm really happy you love their names just as much as I do, Anon. They were created through the labor of love, and I'm happy that they resonate with you!! <33

Shine on you crazy Diamond.
A Tyril fic.
Pairing: Tyril x MC
Summary: This is au! Human! Tyril Starfury, and the way he meets mc in this universe. He's the head of a corporation, along with his father, and problems start arising after his engagement falls apart.
Word count: 1,996 words.
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
You boy child, winner and loser.
He absent-mindedly walked down through the dim-lighted streets. A light drizzle falling, and dampening his long hair. He should have brought an umbrella. Though the weather was the last thing on his mind when he left his house that morning.
He was still fuming about that last foolish article they had written about him.
It’s been almost a week, give it a rest now.
A week since his engagement had fall apart. A week since the tabloids were filled with pictures of his former fiancée in the arms of another man.
He usually didn't care whatever it was they wrote about him, he had gotten used to the public scrutiny. But this time they hadn't just write about him, they'd gone and besmirched his family's name. Questioning his father’s judgement, for he had chosen such a “reckless, blind-sighted” man to be his second. Accusing him of nepotism, as if all the work he had put into their family business was worth nothing.
They knew nothing.
He was careless, and now his family was paying the consequences. He should have known better than to trust her. People outside of his family were not to be trusted. She wanted part in his business, she never loved him. She only wanted something from him, as everyone else did.
As he walked down the street he noticed people were eyeing him. Some with curious glances, some with judgmental stares, whispering to each other. As if having his failed attempt at a relationship for everyone to see wasn’t enough humiliation. Others just parted to let him walk through, as usual.
He was so deep in thought that he didn't notice a woman with her arms full with grocery bags walking his way.
He only noticed her when he felt the collision, and saw the contents of her bags sprawl all over the floor.
"Hey! Watch where you're going?!"
The woman quickly lowered herself to the ground to pick her scattered objects.
He was slightly stunned by the woman's reaction, but he was already riled up from the article, and wasn't appreciating her tone.
"I'm not the one crashing blindly into strangers."
His rational side knew that it was probably his fault. He was distractedly walking by, ignoring his surroundings. But his pride, and the anger he was feeling at the moment wouldn't let this go.
The woman was crouched in the ground, long hair covering her face, reaching for the objects spilled across the ground in a quick manner, before they could get wet from the dampened floor and rain.
"You sure about that? Because there are a considerable amount of people who'd probably say otherwise."
Her otherwise silvery voice was laced with enmity, as he could hear her grumbling as she hastily reached for her groceries.
He then noticed some people were staring at their exchange with curious gazes. The last thing he needed right now was to create a scene.
He sighed frustratingly, and resisted the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose. He lowered himself to the ground to help her gather some of her scattered items.
" Let me help you." He half grumbled.
"I don't need your help."
For the first time in their whole discussion, she looked at him. He couldn't help but notice her delicate features. From her smooth skin, framed by her long hair, to her captivating eyes. And he couldn’t possibly ignore the way her dress hugged her curves. She was… truly mesmerizing.
Recognition flashed her eyes for a second. He noticed.
He expected her to start apologizing profusely, to see the shame in her gaze.
Instead, she kept a neutral expression, and kept reaching for her things. He was slightly surprised, but didn't let it show.
There were a lot of items dispersed in the ground, and the light drizzle was turning into full rain. He felt a pang of guilt, after all, it was kind of his fault, even if he wouldn't admit so aloud.
"Seriously, please let me help you."
He picked the item closest to him. He didn't realize what it was at first, but when he fixed his gaze down he noticed. It was a box of tampons. His eyes widened a bit, and he felt the blush in his cheeks start spreading.
"Uh..."
When she saw what he was holding, she quickly took the box from his hands, averting his gaze with a blush of her own.
Despite the embarrassment he felt, he kept collecting some of the items, until they were all gathered back in her bags.
He was the first to stand up. He stretched his hand to help her, but she just got up on her own, light annoyance in her expression. They stood there for a moment, neither of them saying anything. She broke the silence.
"Well... You're not expecting me to thank you, are you? You did kind of run into me."
Her gaze was intense. He wasn't one to shy away from eye contact, but the way she was looking at him almost made him want to look away. Almost.
"Well, no..." Though she had a point. What was he still standing there for? What exactly did he expect from her?
She gave a sardonic smile.
"You're probably used to it, aren't you?”
He gave her a confused look.
“Used to what?”
He responded, with a harsher tone than he intended.
“ People thanking you for the honor of the Tyril Starfury giving so much as a glance at them."
He was taken aback. No one had ever speak to him like that. No one. What irked him the most wasn’t her rudeness or condescendence. No. What irked the most was that she was telling truth.
For the first time in what felt like forever, he was speechless. He shook himself from his inability to conjure words, and found his composure again.
"I am not responsible for what people treat me like. I never asked for any kind of special treatment."
He felt like he was telling that to himself rather than her.
She arched an eyebrow.
"You're saying you don't like their adoration and brainless devotion?"
"I wouldn't say they adore me, as of now." He said sincerely, his mind going back to the article.
"And even if they did, I'm not particularly fond of 'brainless devotion' from strangers that don't really know me."
He was slightly astounded with himself. Why was he telling a stranger these things? He wasn't the type to share what was in his mind. But they way she treated him, so... unfamiliar to him, so challenging. Made him want to explain himself to her, like he had something to prove.
Her eyes widened a bit in realization.
"Ooh, you're talking about… the article?”
He couldn't help the angry thought that crossed his mind.
Oh, come on. Did everyone knew already?
He knew she was using the word article to avoid the subject of his fiancée. He couldn’t help but appreciate her discretion. By now, everyone just talked about it like it was their business.
"You read it?"
Despite the anger rising within him, he kept his tone emotionless.
"Not really, but it is hard to ignore when the media keeps buzzing about it. One would think there are far more important news than the family drama of Bruce Wayne 2.0"
He couldn't help but give a small smile at the comment. She had sense of humor.
"Yeah, one would think so."
He gave a rueful smile, his light blue eyes slightly tainted with disgrace and shame.
She noticed the slight change in his demeanor, and couldn't help but feel a bit bad for him. His entire private life exposed for the world to see. Under the constant judgment and scrutiny of the masses, all of them having a say on the way he handled himself and his life. Also, it probably wasn’t nice to find out your girlfriend is cheating on you by reading it on the tabloids.
She noticed the people looking at them, some even had the audacity to pull their phones out, as if they wanted to preserve this exchange and gossip about it.
“You people don’t have your own lives to get back to?! Get a move on!”
They quickly averted their gaze, and kept walking. Some of them kept grounded, but after one of her glares they kept moving.
When she looked back at Tyril he had an amused expression, mixed with something else she couldn’t pinpoint.
"You shouldn't listen to what they say, you know? " She blurted out before fully realizing what she was saying. She couldn't help but wanting to relieve some of that dark cloud looming over him.
He quirked an eyebrow.
"Didn't you just say is hard to ignore?"
"Well... yes. But one thing is to hear what they say, and listen to what they say. You said it yourself, these people don't know you. Not really. They just happen to know things about you. You shouldn't care what a bunch of strangers have to say about your private life."
Again, he was stunned. He wasn't used to people speaking to him in such a free manner. Usually their words were calculated, contrived, and most definitely expecting something in return from him.
Yet here she was, giving him a piece of her mind, giving him advice, without ulterior motives. He felt... confused, but in a good way. Her openness, and sympathetic look gave him the courage to respond.
"I usually don't. But this time they didn't just diminished me and… my situation. They brought my family into it... And all because of something stupid I did."
She could recognize the emotion in his eyes. Guilt. Shame.
She wasn't expecting Tyril Starfury to be so… sensible. From what she knew about him, and based on what she has seen in pictures, he was very serious, with a calculative cold demeanor. She was expecting him to be the stereotypical spoiled brat who didn’t think of anyone but himself. She was finding out how wrong she was.
" Does your family blame you for what happened? "
There was a sort of genuine curiosity in her voice tone, albeit to that morbid need to poke into his private life, like he had grown so used to.
"... No. They don't particularly enjoy being badmouthed like that, but they don't specifically blame me. More the situation itself. "
"Then you shouldn't either. Besides, it's likely they'll forget about this with the next 'important' big news. The media always will pick whatever is the 'juiciest' new information, even something trivial and banal. No. Especially something trivial and banal. So this too, shall pass."
He considered her words for a moment. There was truth to what she was saying. Even more so, it was the way she was saying them, in such a kind voice, a real contrast with the anger she showcased earlier. He still felt vexed by the situation, but was able to find a sliver of comfort in the stranger's words.
He offered her a small smile.
"... Thank you."
She gave him a grin in return.
" Don't mind it."
She smiled one more time at him, and went about her way.
He was left standing there. Dumbfounded, his brow slightly furrowed in a confused expression. He was impressed at how the beautiful, slightly rude stranger had lifted his spirits. Even more so, because she did it out of amiability. No hidden motives, or schemes like he was used to expect from people who weren’t his father and sister.
"Wait. What is your- "
He turned around, but she was already lost in the sea of people.
"... name."
He stood there for a moment longer, contemplative about the stranger, and her words.
He looked down at his watch, realizing he was going to be late. He shook himself out of his daze, and kept walking, rain pouring down on him as he went by.

"How would the DRV3 boys react to their s/o dying, but soon find out that their commuted suicide because their were blackmailed by Monokuma, but the mastermind didn't want their s/o to win so they executed boys in their s/o's place and they are comforted by their crying s/o telling them that this wasn't supposed to happen?"
Okay, so this post is really long BC I had ideas again…Sorry about that! Hopefully it was worth the wait, and I hope you enjoy! TW: suicide mentioned (tag is Sui) -Mod Capricorn
Shuichi Saihara: -When Monokuma popped up in your dorm room to blackmail you, you didn’t know what the bear wanted. -Did it want you to kill someone? Well duh, the menace wanted anyone to do that. -But when it mentioned that if you didn’t kill within 48 hours Shuichi would die. That’s when you got concerned. -“Wouldn’t that make you the culprit?” You retort. -“This is my game! You have to follow my rules, including the one I’ve given you! Your punishment for not doing so will be losing your lovely detective!” He jokes. -Damn. So this was a rule then. -“Also, don’t be smart and talk about this to anyone.” It blurts out. “If you do, Shuichi will die for punishment of your decisions!” -You stared at the black and white bear, dumbfounded. -“Well, sleep tight!"Poof. The bear was gone. -You couldn’t sleep that night. You had to plan someone’s death. -After recognising that if you commit suicide, nobody but you would be the culprit, it was a decision. -You spend the day with Shuichi, making sure to enjoy your moments with him. -At night time, you started your plan.
-During the trial, Shuichi couldn’t believe that you had killed yourself. You had no motive. -He was trying to find someone that he could find guilty, but the evidence went against his weak arguments. -The poor boy was heart-broken. Why did you do that? -Once everyone voted for you, Monokuma shocked everyone. -"Well, since S/O committed suicide, we have no blackened!” Monokuma starts. “However, the motive was not made clear!” -Where was he going with this? -“It’s punishment time!” -When Shuichi is dragged away by Monokuma, everyone is shocked. Including you. -The detective knew he was going to die - hell, how could he even survive the murder mystery house punishment!?! -This is the end, Saihara thought.
-He wakes up to a void. -Was this the afterlife? It was very lonely. Silent. -That is until he sits up, looking around and noticing several familiar faces. -Then he notices yours. -Your face was stained from your crying, and the look on your face was one of surprise, and one of guilt. -“S-Shuichi…I-I’m so sorry.” You weakly splutter out. -“No, I’m sorry.” Shuichi responded, walking towards you. “wasn’t able to talk you out of your suicide. I hope you can forgive me.” He grows fainter and fainter with every syllable. -Your look of surprise overpowers one of guilt. -“N-no that’s not your fault! I had to do that!” You reply. “I did it to save you from monokumas punishment!” -Shuichi was gobsmacked. -You got blackmailed. -So out had to kill for him to live. -He had nothing else to say, he just enveloped you in a light hug, tucking his head into your neck.
Kaito Momota: -you received a monopad with your motive video. -“Ladies and gentlemen, the much anticipated motive video for S/O, the ultimate…Something.” You roll your eyes. Really? “Kaito Momota is-” your eyes darted to the screen. -“-The first person that this average person has managed to bag! However, now there is a tough decision to be made! Them, or their boy toy!” -Your eyes lose all life from them. You knew what the video implied. -You chose yourself.
-“Shuichi, your my sidekick!” Kaito was accusing Shuichi of killing you. Why else would the sidekick be giving out evidence pointing to you offing yourself? -“Uh oh, Shuichi! It looks like the idiot is accusing you *again* of killing someone!” Kokicki snickered out loud. -“You were working with him! That would make sense! That explains why you have been so pally as of late!” Kaito pointed the finger at the duo. -“Kaito.” Maki interrupts softly. “We found a motive in their room.” -“Oh really? Maybe that was planted by the liar!” Kaito was seething with rage. Someone killed you, and he wanted to get justice for you. -Monokuma begins voting time. It was boring the bear. -The rest of the class voted correctly. -“W-What?!?” Kaito blurted out. -“I was trying to show you the motive video they received.” Maki admits. -“Ah, right! I’ll play that for everyone else to see!” Monokuma stated. -By the end of the video, Kaito is empty. -You gave yourself up for him to survive. -Before anyone knows it, Kaito was being thrown into a rocket.
-Kaito wakes up to a pair of arms grasping into him. The person was shaking. -Opening his eyes, he realises that it’s you. -“S/O. You didn’t have to do that for me.” Kaito highlights. -Tears were streaming down your face. -“I know I didn’t have to. But I wanted to. I wanted you to get out of the killing game alive!” You painfully confessed. -“I’m glad I’m here with you, S/O.” Kaito says. “There’s no other person I would rather be with.” -He pulls you into his lap, where you stay attached to him.
Rantaro Amami: (I did this as a crush thing whoops!) -When you went to your dorm room for your first nights rest, a letter was waiting for you. -The message of the letter was that if you didn’t kill someone within 24 hours, they would kill Rantaro. -You were caught off guard by how quick Monokuma was to get you to kill someone. -So, you went for a suicide that was quick to do. The consequence was that this discovery would look like someone else murdered you.
-The trial was all over the place. -Half of the people were saying this was a brutal murder (with Rantaro leading the group), and the other half were arguing that this was a suicide (which was lead by Shuichi). -While you did choose a method of death that appeared to be violent, you left one clue behind that made sense to you being the culprit - considering your position, and the letter, it was concluded that you killed yourself for the mysterious avocado. -Rantaro was shocked. He didn’t think that he was enough of a reason for you to die! -When Monokuma is debating on who to execute, Rantaro volunteered. -Why? Because he couldn’t think of anyone else the public would have wanted to see gone.
-Rantaro woke up next to you. -He sits up, stretching, before nudging you awake. -Slowly, you opened up your eyes. -Panic. -Oh no. He was killed regardless. You couldn’t save him this time. -“Why did you do that?” Rantaro extended. At this point, he was looking at you with curiousity. -“I - uh. Well, mmm…"You hesitated. "Something about you was interesting.” You whisper. -Interesting? -“So you gave up your life because I was interesting…” Rantaro begins. -“That’s quite the inferiority complex you have right there!” He lightened up. -“I didn’t mean for you to get killed, I’m so sorry! I thought that you would survive!” You hushed. -Rantaro just smiled. -“Let’s talk some more.”
Kokichi Ouma: -When you were happily walking through the campus with your boyfriend, Monokuma pops up. -“Aww Monokuma! Were you getting lonely?” He pouts. “Not that I would care either way!” -Monokuma didn’t acknowledge the supreme leader, the bear just handed you a note. -off Monokuma went to his next destination. -“Ooh wonder what that was!” Kokicki smiled. -You read the comment before he could look over your shoulder (maybe because you were likely taller than him…) -“Ahh it’s just a silly little comment! It doesn’t even make sense!” You laugh off.
-The next day, you were found on the ground. -He thought that someone had asked Monokuma to give you a letter to meet up at a rooftop. -He didn’t get why you would do that, but he was certain that he could get the culprit. -Throughout the trial, Saihara was beginning to suspect that you had committed suicide. -“Nishishishi! Silly Saihara! Don’t you know nothing was wrong?” Kokichi blurted out. “I mean, why would she do it when there’s much worse in this room?” He goes deadly serious. -“We wound this note in their pocket.” Saihara makes a note of Kokichi’s recognition of the paper. -“But what does that flimsy piece of paper even say?” Kokichi patronises. “Are you going to be caught off guard by-” -Maki glares at Kokichi. -“Read the note.” Maki blurted out. -“Kill, or Kokichi will die.” The boy stops smiling. So that’s why Monokuma didn’t say a word to you when they handed the paper to you. -Voting wraps up, and Kokichi is promptly punished without further discussion of the case.
-You’re on your knees. You couldn’t believe that he died that way. -That was because of you doing what you did. -You were knocked over by a small body, tackled into a hug. -“Oh my darling S/O! I so missed you!” Kokichi yawned. -“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean for you to die like that.” You hold back your tears. -he turns you to face him. -“I know.” He’s serious. His face was plain in that moment. “I’m glad I can see you again. It was heart breaking to see your body in the state it was in.” He finished, tears streaming down his face. -Both of you are just looking at each other, crying out of the happiness that you both had each other. -“The only thing I’m angry about is the fact that you managed to convince me that the note was nothing!” He laughs, putting on his smile once again.
Ryoma Hoshi: -It was night time, and you were walking outside alone. -You enjoyed the scenery when you didn’t realise that you were still in the killing game. -Unfortunately, this didn’t last long. -You saw Monokuma appear with a large envelope. -“Now don’t tell anyone about this, or it will happen regardless of what you do!” It giggled, disappearing around the corner. -You return to your dorm with said envelope. -tearing apart the package, you saw what accompanied the letter. -You had been given a letter, along with pictures. -The letter was basic enough with its message. But it added more comments, because the mastermind knew it would take more convincing for you to kill. -They knew you were mentally vulnerable, so they had given you pictures where Ryoma was clearly having fun with everyone else. -Everyone else but you.
-Ryoma went to the canteen for breakfast. He was looking forward to seeing you! -He sat down in his usual seat, waiting to see you again. -Everyone else turns up, and you still weren’t there. -Only then did he put two and two together - you were usually there before him. -He goes to your dorm, knocking before inviting himself in. -He sees your body. -The trial wasn’t memorable - you obviously did the crime yourself. -Ryoma didn’t vote - what was the point in voting? He didn’t want to live, you gave him something that nobody else could!
-You didn’t watch the trial. -Your intention was to rid Ryoma of his metal ball and chain. -“S/O.” Oh no. You were still a burden to him. -“Why did you do that?” He puts a hand on your shoulder. -“Because I know you wouldn’t love me.” You softly spat at him.“You were happier with everyone else, when I wasn’t there to hold you back.” -“That’s not true.” He’s struggling to say that without stuttering. “That’s not true at all.” You could hear the tears welling up in his eyes. -You turned around and clutched onto him in a warm hug, silently crying to each other.
Korekiyo Shunguuji: -You were lying in your dorm room, staring at the ceiling because of the inability to fall asleep. -You hear a sound in the room you sit up to observe, and it’s Monokuma. -“Ah, awake I see! Great, now for the reason I’m paying you a visit” It gleamed. “Your Principal is not accepting of the relationship you are in with that boyfriend of yours. So now you have to choose - you or him?” -“And what happens if I don’t choose him?” You ponder. -“Well, he’s dead meat!” The bear laughs. “Who’s going to die tonight then?”
-Korekiyo was arguing with his sister at this point of the trial. -“What do you mean, ‘thing’?"He bellowed at himself. -"I mean that lover of yours. I will forgive you for cheating on me, my sibling. Just this once.” He retorted back to himself. -“What do you mean by that? I thought we established that we aren’t dating now, sister!” -“O-okay…” Monokuma stutters out. “lock in your…votes…” Monokuma was sweating. The bear didn’t know what was going to happen. -Korekiyo was fighting with his sister when voting, refusing to punch in any vote.
-He wakes up to frantic footsteps and hellish sobbing. -“Oh god, I didn’t intend for that to happen! I just wanted you to live!” You cry out, falling to your knees for forgiveness. -“Your act was truly beautiful!” He admits with confidence. “You gave up your life in an effort to save me!” He lightly pulled you in for a cuddle.
Gonta Gokuhara: -You receive Gonta’s motive video. -Well, you thought so until you got a pop up on the video where it said that you had to choose you or Gonta. -“Make your choice!”
-Gonta couldn’t even understand what suicide was, so he wouldn’t even understand how you could be the culprit. -“Shuichi no take case serious!” Gonta roared across the court room. -“Gonta, We found this video at the crime scene.” The video plays, silencing Gonta. -Gonta couldn’t protect you. -He willingly took his execution. He felt that he didn’t deserve life if you lost yours.
-Gonta would more likely be the one apologising. -Before you could even say something, Gonta was apologising for failing to protect you. -In return, you explain the situation through your tears. -The interaction ends with the two of you holding hands, smiling at each other.
Keebo: -You were in your room, getting dressed for the day ahead. -Knocks were at the door, and you thought it was Keebo. -“I’ll be there in a minute, sweetheart!” You called out. -You look at the door to see an eery message being pushed through. -“Kill someone, or your robot is gone.” -Okay, you could have just put down 'Keebo’ but thanks Monokuma… -You turn the paper to see a message explaining that you’re not allowed to tell anyone. -You knew what you were planning on doing, so you prepared yourself for your demise.
-When it was revealed that you killed yourself, Keebo became unresponsive. -The public voted for him to die. He prepared himself. -He died being crushed like a used piece of junk.
-Keebo spawned in a dark abyss, and he felt someone holding his hand, and the someone was sobbing. -“S/O is that you?” He asks, no emotions present. -You looked at him in shock. You couldn’t remember when he spoke to anyone like that. -“Please answer me.” -“I-I’m so sorry. I had to do it…"You drop your head down, scared of how he would react. -He strokes your hair. -"Please do not worry about the past! We still have each other, and that’s all that matters.” Keebo said, smiling. -You look up, reciprocating the smile.

Powerpuff Girls 2016 - “Not So Secret Service”
Tumblr media
Written by: Jake Goldman

Directed by: Nick Jennings, Bob Boyle
Not so great service, more like.
According to Cartoon Network US's website, this is the first episode of Season 3. However, it aired in other countries as a Season 2 episode. The confusion only starts here, because there's also Aliver and Never Been Blissed, both of which aired as Season 2 episodes over here and will be Season 3 episodes everywhere else. I am going with the US order, because the show is made in the US, I'm in the US, and I already reviewed both Aliver and Never Been Blissed.
And now, the delayed first review of a Season 3 episode, and it already starts off with some excitement, as the Powerpuff Girls are beating each other up!
Tumblr media
In a video game. The Powerpuff Girls are playing what is essentially a robot version of Mortal Kombat. The robots, under the command of a surprisingly bloodthristy Blossom and a not-so-surprisingly bloodthirsty Buttercup, continue to do Fatality moves on each other, the robots apparently reforming themselves after every one.
Buttercup: Prepare for the battle axe! (red one cuts the blue one open)
Blossom: Here comes the organ shredder! (blue one twin-saws the other one in half)
Bubbles: Send them home...in pieces! (red one turns into a bomb and blows up the whole screen)
The joke is that the Powerpuff Girls aren't normally like this.
Tumblr media
The Professor decides to be the responsible adult, and tells the girls to stop playing the game because it's too violent for them. He then leaves, deciding that doing anything to prevent these kids from being desensitized, like looking at that little letter on the box that tells you not to give this to your kids, is just too much for him. Blossom is confused by this, but not in a way I would think.
Blossom: Why does the Professor not want us to play it? It's not like it's going to make us violent in real life!
Perish the thought: the video game might inspire the Powerpuff Girls to actually be violent in this reboot! I take that back, I hope they continue playing! As soon as the hotline rings, they learn that Discount Jojo is in the Mayor's office. Apparently all hyped up on those non-age-appropriate robot fighting games, they decide to start the carnage!
Tumblr media
They break into the City Hall, and decide to punch first and ask questions later in a psychadelic slideshow beatdown. Before Buttercup can drop the Mayor's desk on him, the Mayor skateboards into the scene, totally not to save a few dollars on walk cycles, to tell Buttercup he called for the Powerpuff Girls to help Jojo.
Buttercup: Help him out of his misery? Okay!
Okay, that's a line from Samurai Jack, but what a missed opportunity. Instead, Buttercup gets to lament that she rarely gets to hit anyone with a desk. It turns out even the characters are sick and tired of the lack of actual fighting in the reboot.
Tumblr media
The Mayor explains that, despite being a supervillain, he's still technically a citizen of Townsville, and is therefore eligible for the Townsville's People's Protection Program, or "T Triple-P" for short. Because he's cool with the cool kids, you see?
With an old-timey film, the Mayor explains how it works: if someone is in trouble, a superhero will come to protect him or her. Apparently, superheroes always existed in Townsville, because this is all in Townsville's Constitution, along with a law that states that only real cowboys can dress in a cowboy outfit. My first guess was those Discount Jojo Cowboy jokes from Deb O'Nair was so bad, they needed a constitutional amendment to prevent them from happening again...
Tumblr media
...but it's just so Bubbles can decide that now is the time to put on a cowgirl outfit and act like a cowgirl for a decent chunk of the episode, complaining that everything she wants to do is illegal. It's a running gag that is completely forgotten halfway through the episode. It should have been forgotten when it came up, really.
What did Discount Jojo do to need this help?
Tumblr media
We go to a flashback, where Discount Jojo has created the ultimate super-weapon: a robot made out of a cardboard box and two giant machine guns that fire lasers. See, that's the difference between TV-Y7-FV and TV-14; this robot can have big machine guns, but as long as it fires lasers instead of bullets, it's A-OK!
Tumblr media
The robot learns who is Jojo's worst enemy, and it happens. The screen even shows a reference to the original Powerpuff Girls, the reboot assuming that anyone familiar with that show is still watching it. I wouldn't give that a high probability. The show decides that he needs some motivation to destroy the Powerpuff Girls, even though we didn't need one before. With this Box-Droid, he will win an Evil Award for Best Mad Scientist.
Tumblr media
Without it, he will lose to a man we have never heard or even seen before this episode, will not show up after this scene, and we’ll probably never see again. I would tell you his name, but there's no point. He tries to throw something at this picture, and it bounces right back in his face, causing him to call himself his own worst enemy. The robot took it literally, and that's how this situation happened.
The Powerpuff Girls are, of course, not big fans of this. They answer every excuse for them to not take care of Discount Jojo.
They bring up that Discount Jojo admitted that he wanted to murder his would-be saviors, but the Mayor simply doesn't care.
The Powerpuff Girls can't stop the robot, because the robot is apparently a master of disguise, leading to another running gag where the robot dresses up like an ordinary person, rather poorly, and asks around where Discount Jojo is. It's an attempt, to say the least.
How are they going to get Jojo past the Professor? For some reason, they decided to consider that an issue. Well, it gets solved in a very expected way for our good old Sitcom Dad...
Tumblr media
They dress him up as a cousin named Johann. The Professor buys it, because the plot wouldn't work otherwise. It's kind of a shame, really; it would have been somewhat interesting to see the Professor live with his former lab assistant, but...
(ding!)
Professor: Ooh, Peach Cobbler!
Said peach cobbler ends up taking him out of the entire episode. I guess they couldn't find anything else for the silly dad character to do. He doesn't even come back to resolve that all important "violent video games" plot; it just barely comes up again right at the end of the episode.
Tumblr media
This appears to be the setup of a good episode, and in the original, it was. There was an episode called Child Fearing, where Mojo Jojo ends up being the Powerpuff Girls' babysitter.
This reboot takes it in a different direction, because Discount J, er, Johann is the one that going to be annoying to the girls. Johann decides to take every advantage he can. Stealing a meatloaf patty from Buttercup, and immediately spitting it out because he only wanted the flavor. I swear they stole that joke from somewhere.
Tumblr media
He then decides he's tired, and decides to steal the Powerpuff Girls' bed...and Octi, too! He also screams in the middle of his sleep. This seems like something they just added to make him the most annoying person ever, but I could imagine he's dreaming about the times the Powerpuff Girls beat him up to a pulp. If only that was even implied.
The next morning, the Powerpuff Girls are exhausted. Johann makes them some of his famous pancakes! Buttercup wonders if they're poisoned, but she decides to try it anyway. In a surprising twist...
Tumblr media
...it was so good, we needed stock footage to show how amazing it was. He also fixes up Octi and cleans the curtains he dirtied up from before, winning Bubbles and Blossom's respect. See kids, let that villain who wants to kil, er, destroy you in your house; sure, he'll dirty up the place, be an awful snorer, and will steal your meatloaf and/or toys, but he'll make good pancakes! What a great lesson.
Tumblr media
After Johann shows his positive side, we immediately get a parody of sitcom openings. If it was done in a more superhero way, I can see how it could be clever, but it's just...it's the Powerpuff Girls and Discount Jojo, and there's a bear in one shot. Okay, there is one particular thing that reminds me of Discount Jojo's character: Johann puts on a princess costume! At least it’s not the only joke this time, but still, that’s a bad reminder of how his character used to be in this reboot.
It even ends with an exterior shot of the Powerpuff home with sitcom music, which is how they sometimes open real episodes of the reboot. This could have been the start of a huge parody of sitcoms if this was done near the beginning of the episode. Alas, they wasted all of that time on the useless Bubbles jokes.
Tumblr media
Johann immediately decides to leave the room and run away from the house and protection program. The very thought of becoming friends of his worst enemies is sickening to him. Compared to Princess's near face-turn, turning into a friend because he makes good waffles would be a major step down.
Tumblr media
He then encounters the robot, who, due to a visit to a library in his stints of trying to blend in with society, found out that "my own worst enemy" is just a figure of speech. After an evil genius-robot hug, Discount Jojo decides to finally destroy those Powerpuff Girls with this strong robot made of cardboard. Surprisingly, the Powerpuff Girls don't do their usual plan of just standing there waiting to get lasered, because there's less than a minute left!
Tumblr media
The Powerpuff Girls immediately eye-laser it. In fact, this is one of the same moves done in the video game, in the only real book end that plot had. An aesop about violent video games would seem hypocritical in a show where superheroic girls beat the stuffing out of people; it's kind of funny how violent video games actually helped out in the end!
In response to this, Discount Jojo has two different expressions at the same time. Clearly, an artistic way to show the duality of Discount Jojo’s feelings of the situation...and the fact that the people who animate the show have stopped caring.
Tumblr media
Amazingly enough, they then beat up Discount Jojo in another psychedelic slideshow beatdown. They even drop an entire desk on him, much to Buttercup's delight. That is one book end I do not mind. Too bad I had a lot to "mind" about this episode.
Does the title fit?
This is more Witness Protection Program than Secret Service. Also, it apparently is a secret, since they have to keep the Professor from knowing its Discount Jojo. Maybe it's "not-so" because it only seems to be an issue for about 25 seconds of the episode.
How does it stack up?
I could see why Cartoon Network US sat on this one. This episode can't decide what it wants to be. An anti-video game episode, a "silly monkey" episode, a "Jojo being terrible" episode, a "Jojo being good" episode, a sitcom parody, an action-packed episode, and, at best, any of those ideas are excuted poorly, and at worst, not at all. While this isn't the worst Discount Jojo episode, I just couldn't get into this.
