PLEASE speak abt the parents Beryl Tristan and Esperanza 🙏 🙏 🙏

Ok outside of firmly believing that those parents HAVE to be legacies (esperanza ESPECIALLY or at least she saw thru the mist) I'm just gonna blab about an AU that makes me laugh. The way I spent 30 mins writing this instead of my finals...

Quick run down: the three of them were friends, tristan and beryl as childhood friends actually, and then they accidentally kill a man (monster)

Beryl:

Grew up poor in a small town, "trailer trash", extremely critical alcoholic mother. Dad left when she was a kid. Had an older brother who left as soon as he could and never calls

Enjoyed watching movies and tv to imagine a better life she can live in

Nerdy as hell in school, wore the biggest glasses in the world. Had a huge crush on tristan for YEARS, especially when he got hot in high school, but liked him before too

Esperanza

Has the sight, can see thru the mist and it scares the shit out of her. Part of why Rosa thinks Leo is fucking devilspawn cuz Esperanza thought she was seeing demons. She moved around a lot growing up because of that fear, but also Hazel's curse

Kinda a rebellious punk, wildchild younger sibling. Her and Rosa are CONSTANTLY fighting

She moves into Tristan and Beryl's town in high school, after her mom died.

There's a satyr and demigod in her class. She doesnt think too much of it. Her teacher is weird....

Tristan

Kinda geeky, has 5 siblings but never talks about them too much. Was always a very sweet and quiet kid. Childhood friends with beryl, also poor too

Super into Ezperanza because she's different. Even when she's weird and mumbling about being chased she's still sooo cool compared to the town they're in.

Okay so now that they're in high school... I think this would be the early 80s 🙂 they essentially are together in a rag tag group, lost trio style, until they see a demigod getting attacked. Tristan hits the monster with his car. The 3 of them are HORRIFIED because they killed a man, but Esperanza keeps talking about monsters and explains it. The demigod's satyr is fucking young Hedge 💀 he's shit at his job so he just tells them about demigods and stuff.

Beryl is slowly ENAMORED by this. Starts drinking from this event but she is DELIGHTED by the idea of a new better world out there. Ezperanza feels like SHIT! She thinks this is all her fault and she's cursed. Tristan is going CRAZY, racked with grief. He is not doing well at ALL!!!!

Anyway they go to college with this in California together, mostly out of being closer but also fear of this secret (dead body) weighing on them. A few more monster and minor god encounters. Eventually, Hedge has to mist-wipe Tristan's memories because hes going crazy, which causes Hedge's issue with the Council of satyr elders or whatever. Idk its in the books lol. But this causes them all to separate and go their separate ways when Tristan can't remember the other two.

Beryl drops out of college, and gets scouted as she is waitressing. Has her big break, goes onto TV and gets famous. She begins to forget some of the little things about how much the demigod world is HORRIBLE. Once, she meets up with Esperanza and they stumble into a minor god, which makes her remember how much she wants to be in that world. She meets Zeus at a party :) and thinks he's charming and powerful, just different. It reminds her of the monster experience. She fucks that man obviously. Desire for something different to her shit life. She is CRAZY!!! 🩷

Esperanza goes to New Rome Uni because i luv that place idk if they allow mortals but she will!!!!! Because she goes to that fake school, no mortals really take her degree seriously which is why it was harder for her to get a job. Never taken seriously. She heads back to Texas eventually. She know he's Hepaestus when he approaches her at a library, doesn't like the idea of getting involved with that god stuff. Still falls in love. When her great grandfather falls ill (Sammy) she demands hepaestus to stay with her. He doesn't obviously, but he promises to come back, if not for her than for Leo. He has to. He doesn't.

Tristan doesn't go to college, he just works at like, fucking Hollister or Abercrombie because he's hot now. He meets Aphrodite a few times but she's busy and he doesnt give in. Eventually they meet at the beach surfing and she's like "I've been trying to get your attention for a while now"... She doesn't tell him she's a goddess but Tristan kinda has a familiar feeling. He's forgotten what it was but she just feels different. When piper grows up, aphrodite sends little gifts to "her favorite heartthrob" and he just gives it to Piper.

......

Anyway it was just putting little seeds together + being crazy. Beryl and Esperanza sometimes still talked. They met once when they were pregnant and talked about their kids playing together. Esperanza, seeing theu the mist, had an idea that Beryl was fucking a god, but its not like she has high standing either. Beryl and Tristan bumped into each other with their acting careers, but Tristan doesnt really remember Beryl the way he should. Esperanza and Tristan have some kind of twisted relationship I fear of will they, wont they with Beryls jealousy 🙄 such it is. Naturally the same with Beryl and Esperanza 🙏

“Terfs” aren’t inherently mean, you have some asshole radfems and radfems who are angry at the current political climate revolving women and gay rights who may come across as mean but radfems aren’t mean on the basis of being a radical feminist alone. Some don’t mind using preferred pronouns, some absolutely do not. Also, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to interact with trans people at all, radical feminism covers so many other aspects that you may wish to focus on. But all in all if you agree with the basic radical feminist beliefs (women are oppressed on the basis of our sex, men are the oppressor class, make up/shaving is harmful. porn/prostitution is not empowering and is very harmful, being critical of religion, anti BDSM etc) then there is absolutely a place for you here 😊😊

Some people may disagree with me but it’s essentially up to you to decide if you want to be open about it, if it truly isn’t safe to be open about certain beliefs then don’t feel pressured to be open about them. That being said you’d be surprised with how many people agree with radical feminism when not called that by name, there are a lot. Personally I’m fairly open about my beliefs, my friends know I’m anti porn and they know why, they know I’m gender critical and a few even know that I’m a “terf” (they didn’t know what it meant beforehand) and I haven’t had any issues with it. I have people disagree with my opinions but I haven’t had any issues in my day to day life about it. If you want to and can be open about it I definitely encourage it, but I also realise it’s not always the easiest thing. My advice is to start small, start mentioning radical feminist beliefs but don’t name it and to start with stay away from mentioning gender related issues, people are more than likely agree than you’d think.

I noticed that too, a lot of mainstream feminism seems to have become completely performative, it doesn’t seem to be fighting for women’s rights anymore but instead seems to be teaching women to enjoy our oppression. It’s one of those things I’ve found that once I noticed it I couldn’t unsee it, for a lot of people it’s easier to to call everything empowering than it is to fix certain issues and men have an invested interest in backing mainstream feminism (they encourage porn/prostitution and bdsm for example).

Omg I am so so sorry about this very delayed reply, but YES WE CAN SCREAM ABOUT COLE’S PERFECTION!!

I’ve harped on and on before about why Cole is one of my favourite characters in the Dragon Age series, but let’s go for it once more for the hell of it!

Cole is fascinating. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a mystery. I love going on the Cole dialogue Wiki and seeing what some of his more cryptic comments refer to! I absolutely love when he says “It always had a soul. The question was in the answer”, which is a reference to Legion in the Mass Effect series and I just, I cry ok? I love his cryptic comments so much.

Cole is literally the embodiment of Compassion. He has no other motives but to help people and to ease their pain, and there is something about that that I just find so compelling, particularly for spirit Cole. Spirit Cole isn’t hurt by Vivienne’s or Sera’s unkind commentary. He is able to provide assistance without being noticed or affected by the pain or the human failings of the people he helps, and there is something about that - the ability to help and then to slide away in the shadows unnoticed without expecting anything in return - that I find incredibly appealing, to the point that I genuinely wish I could do the same.

I personally prefer Cole as a spirit, but I think it is interesting and wonderful that Cole seems equally satisfied with being either a spirit or a human. In both cases, he is made “safe” - in other words, he is no longer a risk of being bound by ignorant mages who might turn him into a demon - and that is all he truly wants. Again, this calls to his purest and greatest motivation, which is to compassionately help people, and I think this is just wonderful.

Cole is innocent in many ways, but he is in no way a child. His innocence stems from his lack of familiarity with the “real” (non-Fade) world, not from a childlike lack of intelligence or maturity. On a similar note, I personally take great issue with people saying it’s disgusting or perverted to want to romance Cole, because I genuinely feel that a romance with Cole, if written properly, is entirely plausible - particularly with a human Cole, but even with a spirit Cole potentially. After all, Solas formed emotional bonds with spirits, and it is heavily implied from one of his banters with Blackwall that he had sensual encounters with spirits as well. So the idea of Cole forming romantic attachments is, in my opinion, neither gross nor implausible.

I will stop rambling for now, but SUFFICE IT TO SAY THAT I REALLY LOVE COLE, AND THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK ABOUT HIM, AND THANK YOU FOR THIS ASK WHICH ALLOWED ME TO BLAB ABOUT HIM AT LENGTH! xoxo

kim taehyung, male, he/him. — you know minki knox, don’t you? he’s the twenty year old sophomore who’s studying elementary education and living in straus hall. they used to be addie’s ex friend, but now he is happy he doesn’t have to deal with her anymore.

minki was born in yongsan, south korea, and was the youngest of four siblings. the pregnancy was a surprise to his parents, and it was something they deeply regretted, seeing as they barely had enough money to keep up the family they already had.

they tried to keep him for five years before realizing it just wasn’t financially possible without having a terrible life ahead of them. they couldn’t keep minki up to health, unable to feed the whole family most days. his parents were desperate and clueless. the only thing they could think to do was put him up for adoption.

minki was still far too young to understand anything, thinking for at least a year that he’d see his parents again, and the center was just a strange vacation. eventually, a couple from america decided to adopt him.onl

at the age of seven, he was moving to america. it was VERY stressful for him bc... he couldn’t speak english and it was an entirely different culture he was being thrown into. luckily his adoptive parents hired someone to teach him english, but he struggled a lot for his first couple of years trying to keep up with everyone.

it got worse when he started actual school. he got rly miserable and didn’t like how behind he felt, and it made him rly secluded in school/unwilling to socialize with other kids.

that worsened as he got older and started to fully realize what had happened with his parents, and that he was the only child put up for adoption. he had an entire family in south korea, living a life without him, and that really messed with him more than anything else. it was when he decided that family does not mean unconditional love, and he started to question if love was real at all to begin with.

it made him VERY emotionally detached, and as much as his parents attempted to bond with him, he wouldn’t have it. they tried to pay for his love through money and he... never told them NO bc... $$$$

minki isn’t really known for being a good person... unless it comes to him around children. after being forced to babysit as punishment, he quickly realized that he couldn’t BULLY a kid,,, and then he realized that he actually works SUPER well with them. his whole attitude changed and he realized how good with kids he is!!!! it’s what made him want to become an elementary school teacher, since it’s something that actually makes him happy

he also REALLLLLLYYY loves photography. so much so he has huge containers full of photos in his apartment. he thinks he might have an addiction to wanting to remember every single part of his life. he fears a day that he starts losing all of his memories, so he tries to take as many photos of everything as much as possible. he’s rly good at it, and he does freelance photography work in his free time for extra cash

usually seen wearing clothing way too big for his body. it’s his brand.

he is: impulsive and has zero fears. he loves suddenly getting up one day and just driving somewhere. sometimes he’ll drag people with him. he loves admiring things around him, and being outside. also: the quiet. his favorite. he’ll tape ur mouth if ur blabbing at him during his quiet time. don’t TRY him!!!!

catch him chillin at the park at 2am have a picnic by himself

hooks up w/ people a lot???? tbh he’s pretty flirty when he finds someone attractive unless they REALLY annoy him. he has a rly cocky attitude for the most part and he’s pretty good at going back and forth with someone. he likes teasing and he rly is the type to pull someone’s hair when he wants their attention :( hate him

he isn’t ever going OUT of his way to be mean. he just speaks without considering if he’s gonna upset someone? unless, again... he has a reason to not like them. then he’s a big bitch on purpose :(

his relationship with addie was: ex friends. the two got along decently, but there was a party... and honestly, minki doesn’t remember all of it, but he knew that it ended in him being pissed off at addie, and the two stopped talking. he DID NOT like her at ALL after that, and so he’s not too bothered by her death.

fun facts: he loves scary movies, butterflies, and can rant abt people driving horribly for at least an hour. he’ll get sweaty over it and everything,,, relax, minki!!!

connection ideas!!!

ex-friends. someone who he was talking to consistently and then just… dropped them all of a sudden? probably some hurt feelings/confusion there yikes! he bails out if he thinks he’s getting attached to a person, so that’s definitely what happened here!

muse. someone he REALLY likes taking pictures of, but probably won’t ever tell them that straight up. likes dragging them places just to take pictures of them and then probably being fake about why he did it!!

travel buddy. someone he can rely on to go with him whenever he has an impulsive decision to take off somewhere. sometimes he likes to disappear alone, but SOMETIMES he likes taking someone with him, and when all else fails he knows he can trust this person 2 drop everything and go with him

old hook up(s). self explanatory… minki likes 2 pretend it never happened!!

childhood friend. someone he probably eventually dropped contact w/ cuz getting close to people is too much for him but someone who made him feel more comfortable in america ok

hello south park fandom :)

it’s been a while since ive been.. in you. so i recently replayed stick of truth, for nostalgia’s sake (and bc im impatient for fractured but whole) & i was reminded how much i miss the show and the boys and even the fandom. so i wanted to jump back into it!

so i’m shay, and i ship pretty much everything, but back in the old days, kyman was my fav. still have a soft spot for it, but im more into every ship these days tbh. still, cartman’s my favorite character. i find him fascinatingly complex, like as someone who’s very interested in psychology, he’s…v interesting. and he’s funny as hell, of course. it’s ironic he’s my fav, too, bc i’m jewish…

i was really into sp from june 2013 to june 2014 or so, then i stopped writing fics and stopped talking to all my fandom friends. i still watch new eps when they air, i legit never miss them lol, but i stopped rlly bein in the fandom, but ya im back & ready to mingle lmao

i’m actually working on a fic rn, for the first time in over three years. it’s inspired by criminal minds, which i’ve been bingewatching. it just kinda came together in my head. kyle’s the lead detective, cartman’s the unsub, only hes not…thats all im saying. and it isnt even explicitly kyman, it’s more past-kyman w some old lingering feelings, so if you hate the ship thats cool. u sill might wanna check it out? maybe? regardless, if you wanna hear abt it, hmu! i wanna blab abt it, i‘m excited to share it lol.

if anyones actually reading this, i have a couple of questions, since it’s been a while

1) does anyone know a fairly old fic (published between 2008-2012…golden ages of sp fic tbh) where kyle gets a job at a resteraunt where hes required to dress as a girl, & if i remember right cartmans the only one who knows, only he surprisingly doesnt take (too much) advantage?? ive been able to find most of my favorite old fics, but i cant seem to find that one. it was on ff.net btw. i hope it wasnt deleted.

2) is the kyman fandom less aggressively anti-bottom cartman now?? 4 yrs ago i used to get soooo much hate for headcanoning cartman as a bottom, but after the cupid me subplot on tweek x craig, i’m hoping ppl have eased up a little?? i saw the end of that ep & literally shrieked bc i was right all along!!! my fav chubby bubby mentally disturbed 10 y/o is a confirmed bottom ok idk

3) also i saw someone saying cartman’s canonically taller than everyone else in fourth grade, but i’ve always headcanoned him as slightly shorter, i think bc in the tmi ep, he grows the least, so i interpreted that as him being kinda short?? was there an ep where they mention hes tall?? i mean his dad’s a football player so it’s possible but idk football players arent always 6′4..

yeah so thats all lol. does anyone maybe wanna be friends & nerdily analyze the characters/relationships on the show together??? like i said im super into psychology so i always like to pick apart things im into, & it’s always fun to discuss it with another person so yeah k thx bye

ok so this is just a rambly overview over what has happened (sam wise) over the seasons so its maybe a little bit easier when keep blabbing @ u abt him 😂

i will try not to go on tangents ehhh 😬😬

sorry for the salty tone in advance

s1: ok sam is at college & lives with jess, dean comes to him after they havent seen each other in 2/3/4 years and says they gotta find john bc he didnt come home from a hunting trip, sam reluctantly says yes to one case but only if theyll be back in time for his law school interview (☹️ oh child), they do the case, sam comes home to jess burning on the ceiling like his mum, and him & dean hit the road to Find Dad and Kill The Demon.

during all this sam starts to get visions of bad things happening in the future and everyones Concerned, they eventually find dad but fail to kill the demon and dean gets fatally injured.

s2: john makes a deal with azazel (the demon that killed mary and jess) to save dean and Dies (& gets sent to hell), sam and dean are Sad (this is tangent worthy but i Won’t right now)

note worthy middle season things are that sam gets possessed by a demon that makes him do horrible stuff in one ep and in another the first girl he has sex with after jess turns out to be a werewolf and he has to shoot her (Fun!), oh and before john died he told dean he might have to kill sam if he starts going rogue (bc john knows abt sam’s mysterious gifts), dean eventually tells sam abt it and sam is Horrified obvs, season ends with azazel kidnapping sam and other kids with Gifts and sam finds out he was fed demon blood as a baby, sam gets killed and dies in deans arms, dean makes a crossroads deal to bring him back and gets one year of life left

oh and they open hells gates and john gets out and is just Normal Dead (yay) but also lots of dark stuff (not yay)

s3: sam is Upset and tries to find a way to get dean out of the deal, katie cassidy’s Ruby appears and says she can help, mid season stuff notable mention for an ep in which the trickster makes sam watch dean die every day for abt 100 days and then lets sam live 6 months without him just for Fun (dean doesnt remember any of this but sam does), anyway they fail at saving dean and sam has to watch him get ripped apart by hellhounds

s4: i mean u watched this but still 😂, dean crawls out of his grave, cas gets introduced, sam has been hanging out with ruby and starts drinking her demon blood bc it gives him the power to exorcise and kill demons without harming their vessel, also the demon lilith (she sent dean to hell so sam has a revenge boner for her too lbr) wants to start the apocalypse by breaking 66 seals and sam has the power to kill her (hot powerful babe that he is 🔥😏), the angels manipulate the living hell out of Everyone and LOTS OF FIGHTING HAPPENS. also dean finds out he broke the first seal when he started torturing in hell (everyone loves forgetting that but Ok) anyway

when dean finds out sam is addicted to demon blood, him and bobby lock him in the panic room without food or water or comforting words but :-))) (i’m not mad at all). then CASTIEL (another guilty party maybe?? HMMM??) lets sam out so he can find ruby and go kill lilith, which he does and ends up breaking the final seal and frees lucifer (which no one knew would happen except for the angels and ruby & dean was abt to do the same thing literally minutes before he found out the truth LOL)

this season is so crazy tangent worthy but i’ll save it for the Actual Post

s5: sams guilt and self hatred is HIIIIIGH and dean does nothing to help that and the rest of the world loves reminding him hes Evil incarnate as well :-) but ok,

dean finds out hes michael’s vessel and sam finds out hes lucifer’s, lots of archangel and other mid season stuff happens, season ends with sam saying yes to lucifer so he can jump into the pit to hell and trap him in there with him, therefore saving the world and all of humanity bc he is a hero thanks for listening to my Ted Talk

s6: dean has been living with lisa and her son ben for a year, it turns out sam is alive but Different, oh damn! he’s soulless! (and sassy sexy Fun 😎) and his (pure gentle) soul is still in hell with lucifer (💔😭)

dean and cas get his soul back but its so damaged (😔) that putting it back into sam would kill him so they ask death to build a wall between the two (no idea how this all rlly works its been a while since i watched this), soul is back in sam, forgot how the season ends but not that important anyway

s7: sam’s soul hell wall thing breaks and he’s dying and ill and sick and sad and everythings awful and he has hallucinations of lucifer telling him insidious horrible stuff and making him doubt reality and dean and everything and its very upsetting to me thanks,

umm forgot how the season REALLY ends but basically sam sees dean die (dean is actually in purgatory BUT SAM DOESNT KNOW THAT)

s8: my memories are hazy at best but i remember the Basic stuff,

its one year later and dean is out of purgatory and somehow him and sam find each other, sam has been living off the grid and found a gf and a dog after grieving dean, dean finds this to be the most heinous of crimes and Hates sam for it (bc u didnt look for me sam!!! and u had a cushy life while i was fighting for mine in purgatory!!! HOW DARE YOU BE HAPPY WITHOUT ME) and the guilt tripping is outta control this season woooohoooo,

anyway idr why but one of them has to take on The Trials (bc it does smth important for them i dont remember why lmao) and sam wants to do them,

stuff happens and they make sam sick and weak and Sad but they also purify his blood so hes desperate for them bc he’s felt awful and unclean all his life and its Upsetting. season ends with the final trial aka The Ultimate Sacrifice which means death and sam’s like yes! death! here for it 100%! and dean’s like no! why? and sam’s like lol i’m horrible and useless and a liability and all i do is let u down and i wanna die! :-)

dean convinces him not to (in a crap way imho BUT)

s9: sams fatally ill and just. wants. to dieeee and gadreel (an arch?angel) tells dean that he could possibly heal sam if he lets him possess sam and Dean Says ‘sam would rather die than ever let anything possess him again’ aaaand then says yes to gadreel :-)

and sam’s alright but has no clue how it happened and keeps losing time and is fucked up over it and dean lies to him and says everythings A Okay

oh and gadreel kills kevin with sam’s body and sam has nightmares abt it

this somehow resolves itself (not in a satisfying way for me of course but when do things ever) but i dont rlly have the deets for the rest of the season

s10-s12: honestly i basically dont know much, somehow dean has the so called mark of cain on his arm which makes him Awful and Horrible and he says things to sam that are Unbelievable and make me Furious

also at some point dean turns into a literal demon, not for super long though i think

sam is a strong kind and beautiful bean during all of this

mary is there somewhere too somehow and lucifer stuff and the list goes on but you know SHRUG
