1月14日(土)｜にこにこと食べる

　また少し怠さが強めの朝。明日がイベントだ。準備がまだ充分でない。 　夕べから売り子様が家へ。仕事終わりで人数分の料理を作り、普段自分が気に入っているものが並んだ。ちょっと奮発したデパ地下の惣菜を二品買ってきてくれて、彩りも豊かになってにこにこと食べる。相変わらず気持ちよく食べてくれる。食べ終わってみれば必要充分な満足感で、膨れたお腹をぽんぽん叩いた。食後に名古屋のお土産で持ってきてくれたほうじ茶ういろを食べる。すっきりとした優しい甘みを、ほうじ茶と共にいただく。 　フリペを諦めるつもりでいてそんな話を既に通してはいたのだけれど、思わぬ文章を作ってくれていた。試し読みのペーパーなら作ってもいいかもね、という話になる。ありがたい。

I'm like. extremely depressed rn so I'm not gonna edit these photos but I made another apron

the craftsmanship on this one is pretty bad :/ also it's too big for me. but I really like the fabrics I chose, and I like the idea of lining the pocket with burlap so you can put scissors or other tools in it. like the last one, this one has crossed straps so there's no neck pressure. I call this fabric combo "your dad's summer vacation bbq." I'm proud of myself for finishing this even if it's not my best work.

1月6日(金)｜絵だとかデザインだとか

　昨日は日付線近くまで考え込んでいて整理が付かず、無理矢理布団に入って切り上げた。なので朝はゆっくりと起床。

　昨日は年末年始の大仕事である年賀状をようやく終え、安堵する。久しぶりにイラストを描いた。楽しかった。風景画だけじゃなくて、様々な絵を描きたい。最近は野球がオフシーズンになり、SNSを時折覗いてはファンアートを眺めて癒やされているのだけれども、人がしているのを見ると自分もやりたくなる。野球を小説に落とし込むのが現状難しいけれどもイラストにするのはできるような気がする。

　年末に家族がちょうどいいカレンダーを探して妥協点を見出そうとしているのを見ながら、来年は自分が希望に則したカレンダーを作ってあげたいな、と思った。と考えると、春夏秋冬を表現できるようになりたいし、人間だとか動物だとか植物だとか生物の表現もできるようになれるとなお良いし、グラフィックデザインを勉強したらさらによくなる気がする。グラフィックデザインは以前から興味をもっていて、去年熱が込み上げた際に勢いで購入した教則本が一冊だけあるのだが、それをぱらぱらと捲ってみると結局自分はこのソフトの使い方を学んで実践してなにをしたいのかがよくわからなくなった。それは夕べも発症した。平面のデザインについて学べば、カレンダー野望だけでなく、本を作る際にも役立つし、他にもなにかと立体物を作りたい時に力になってくれる。とはいえまったく新しいソフトに手を出そうとすると一気に萎む。

　展示をやってみたかったり、去年から他者と繋がってなにかを作り上げていくことに興味をもっていて少しだけ挑戦したりしてみたけれど、うまくいかずに迷惑をかけたこともあったし、今はそういう立体的だったり連帯の中で紡ぎ上げていくことよりも、手の届く範囲で制作をすべきだと感じる。今の自分にはハードルが高い。どちらかといえばネットでの活動に重点を置きたい。

　一ヶ月、一年という区切りを設けたところで今日も明日も変わらないということは百も承知だけれども、今年は期間を区切りながら一歩ずつやっていこうと思う。その間、たとえ全然発表せずに手元の創作物や習作が増えていくだけでもいい。創作物を人前に発表しようとすると急に窮屈な心になるから、今はのびのびと枝葉を伸ばして、一ヶ月経った頃、半年経った頃、そして一年後、一月に燻っていたものがもう少し晴れていたらいい。そうした望みは、昨年9月からおおまかにその月のテーマのようなものを見出しながら過ごした癖が今も続いていて、11月から日常的なスケジュールを立てる練習をしだしたことから繋がっていると思う。そんなことを年末に箇条書きしたやりたいことリストを前に、ぐずぐずと考えていた昨夜だった。ひとまずジェスチャードローイングについて勉強してみることにした。
