Loud ass beeping in his ears.
Being stuck restrained in some sort of metal tube isn’t a fun experience. And certainly not one Gabe wants to experience again.
His whole body under his neck was numb for the first few days. There were needles in his arms and some sort of mask over his face. After awhile, he started to gain more feeling in his body. But something wasn’t right. It wasn’t all him.
Everything else felt like flesh. But one side was off balance. He could feel it, but it wasn’t the same. It was hard to explain, but it just felt…. Different.
Carnage wasn’t far away from him. Stuck in a different clear tube. Even when separated, he could have sworn he felt how Carnage felt. Both of them were trapped and didn’t know how long it had been. He started to forget as days passed what exactly happened.
It was a muffled alarm that tore him from his thoughts. Shouts and a roar. He flinched as something cracked just outside his holding. Like something shattering. Then, he felt a familiar sensation, tendrils gripping at his legs and sneaking through his confinements. He didn’t need to look to know who it was. He couldn’t even move his head anyways. His fingers stretched downwards at his sides, and he felt Carnage grip at his hand.
. . .
Karma swallowed the scientist whole, her tongue licking her teeth as their screams muffled and the room was clear. Red lights flashing and a promise of backup.
The symbiote flinched and whipped her head around as a side of the room shattered. Emerging a red symbiote with bared teeth.
“Carnage,”
“Karma,”
Karma growled, “Go get the others,” and she gestured over her shoulder to the opening of debris that led to another room, “we are finding Teddy and Ravage,”
“Our memories are jumbled- but your brother is not far. They are separate but in the same room. Just beyond here.”
. . .
Ravage bonded to a weak body that disoriented him. But slowly, he was able to repair what he could not after all this time. Slowly, he stepped outward from the glass cell Teddy was in. Across the room, he saw the box he used to be stuck in, now torn. Glass littered the ground.
“Ravage,”
“Karma-“
The other symbiote shook her head, “No time, we are leaving. You both can move?”
“We are dizzy, but we will be fine,”
. . .
His head hurt like shit… he went from being restrained upright to almost face planting the cold ground. Anthony gritted his teeth, slowly lifting himself up with his arms. A large claw gently but firmly lifted him to his feet.
“Gareth is feeding. Backup is coming. We need to leave, now.”
He blinked rapidly, his gaze falling across the room. Several dead and drained bodies of scientists and Gareth still hunched over one. When the vampire lifted his head, his mouth was bloodied, but he no longer looked so crazed. His eyes dilated and his eyes shut tightly before opening again.
“What- where the fuck-“
“No time. We have to go!”
A loud crash and Anthony whipped his head over his shoulder. Heavy footsteps and shouts were getting louder.
He looked back ahead and he saw a large opening in the wall to the outside of the building. The rooms trashed and broken, research destroyed and littered with bodies.
Anthony ran on autopilot. He wasn’t sure who gave him a zip up jacket, but it was most likely Gabe. He didn’t remember when Ravage and Karma came around the corner and they all reassembled. And he didn’t remember forcing his body to sprint and jump through his opening to freedom.
. . .
Jen stood in front of the TV, her body frozen and eyes wide. An Oscorp lab destroyed and escaping it, three symbiotes and two humanoid beings. One shooting a web and swinging across to hide in an alleyway. Their faces unable to be recognized.
But she knew.
And she was relieved and horrified.
. . .
Castle was already searching the city, top to bottom, and tearing it apart.
Nick Fury and the Avengers have been failing to find the lost teen.
And Carnage led them, for the time being, the only place he knew they would be safe until the coast was clear. And safe to say, the turtle mutants had lots of questions.
“HOW THE FU-“

“Ted-dyyyyy”
“Now is not the time Ravage, we gotta get in than out,”
“What’s he saying?”
Teddy sighed, “He’s not saying anything, and keep your hood up!” He reached over and shoved the hood over the mutant with a grunt.
“Ack! Ok ok! Sorry! Got excited. We never just casually walk down the streets in almost sort of daylight-“
Teddy shook his head with a soft smile and gestured for them to continue walking. “It’s New York, everyone has their hood up. No one gives you a second glance… you can always go back if you want, I can get the groceries myself,”
Mikey shook his head, “That’s no fun! It’s the least I can do to help you. Besides, I’m tired of being cramped in there. I mean- not like nothing is wrong with the company but… you know,”
Teddy nodded as the two walked side by side. They had to shove on a large hoodie over the turtle mutant and some baggy clothing to hide most of his… turtle features. Doubled with a scarf just in case. It was a little windy out anyways, everyone was cold. No one would question as long as they don’t look to closely at them. Surely.
“I get it. We’ll figure this out… whatever Oscorp is doing is gonna end.”
“TEDDYYYYY”
Teddy groaned and Mikey tilted his head, “Ou my god- what Ravage?!”
“Teddy can we get chocolate?”
Teddy pinched the bridge of his nose and resisted the urge to groan again before exhaling slowly, “Fine. We’ll get you chocolate.”
“We’re getting chocolate?!”
“Yep… seems so.”
“You sure you can buy all that?”
Teddy scoffed with a smile, “Oh, absolutely.”
Teddy kept a hand on Mikey’s shoulder, the mutant was giddy and looking around. The shop was mostly empty besides the cashier. Teddy kept an eye on where the cameras were and let Mikey by the arm,
“Don’t wander too far, stay near me. Again, in and out.”
“The purple one said their labs are scattered around the outer city. But some are inside.”
Gabe was silent for a long moment.
“Gabe?”
“I heard you.”
The symbiote let out a low growl, “Then we must not dwell. We cannot wallow in our sorrows forever. They will continue to harm and hunt all of us unless something is done.”
“Shit! I’m so sorry!”
Teddy blinked a few times before lifting his knee and kneeling, keeping his head down and grabbing the grocery bags with haste, “It’s fine-“
“Hold on- let me help,”
Mikey was standing behind him, holding a few other full bags in his arms, peaking a bit to look at the ground. “Hey, no worries! Things happen- oof, heavy-“
“Suspicious man, Teddy! We must EAT HIM!”
When Teddy looked back up and stood, he looked up and met eyes with the person he bumped into. Taller than he was, dark brown hair, slightly wavy, not exactly curls.
“You’re… in my English class, aren’t you?”
The person raised his brow, then his expression got a bit softer and his lips bent upwards in a smirk, “… hey yeah, I know your sister- well… I don’t know know her-“
“Everyone knows her, it’s hard not to,” Teddy responded with a shrug.
“Ever since the huge rampage in the streets, school has been closed until the criminals were caught. Been weird not seeing her fighting some random guy in the hallways. I almost expect it every now and then,” he chuckled nervously.
Teddy hummed with a smile, “Yeah- she’s… a character,”
“Would that be the best course of action?”
“If they stay alive, they have a higher chance of breaking out and continuing their work. It needs to end. And that’s the only way how.”
“It was always advised we be against killing unless necessary. Do you feel it is necessary now?”
“Yes. I do.”
“Very well. It will be shut down. All of it. Right to the root and to the man who founded it.”
“Nice meeting you two… I’ll see you around?”
Teddy nodded, “Sure- I’m Teddy Williams,” he offered a hand.
“He seems familiar…”
The other person smiled and shook his hand in return,
“Harry Osborne. Nice to meet you.”

Scarlet remained in the position she landed in when she was thrown through another portal back into the cell. Sprawled out on her stomach, her left cheek pressed against the floor. Even through her suit she could feel the cold of the stone seeping through, which provided some comfort to her sore body, especially her burnt hands.
An intermission.
A gladiator fight intermission. That was apparently a thing.
Though she had no clue how long it would last. How long had she been here again? Was it still the same day she got caught? And where the hell was this stupid cell?
A small portal appeared, and in a flash something was thrown in. Scarlet lifted one of her arms and caught it as the portal closed. A full water bottle. How generous.
——————————————————————————
Thalia couldn’t help the amazed gasp that escaped her lips when she made it through the portal. A vibrant cityscape materialized in front of her, filled with hundreds of yokai and other mythical beasts roaming amongst each other.
“Woah.”
“Yeah.”
April smiled slightly, before her face molded back into a serious expression as the rest of the group finally made it through. She eyed the last person to enter, the red and black symbiote host, warily. He seemed to notice but remained silent.
“Uh guys?”
Everyone turned to look at the red eared slider as he pointed out something in the distance.
“Is that the Battle Nexus?”
“What the shell! Why is it so far away?!?”
“I can portal us-“
“No.”
Raph squared his shoulders, looking back at the team.
“Let’s get moving.”

Donnie glanced at his wrist screen, receiving the answer post from the symbiote pair. He pulled his tech bo off its charging stand and made his way to the main area of the lair where the rest of the team was gathered.
“We're going to talk about your new friends later Donnie.”
Donnie waved the comment off, electing to focus on the task at hand.
“I really hope this works.”
Mikey gently held the blue coin thing from Splinter’s Do Not Touch shelf in his hand. It was pitifully taped back together from the last time, when they dropped it.
“It will Mikey. We got this.”
The blue masked turtle encouraged, slinging an arm around his youngest brother.
“That’s the spirit Leo. We can do this guys.”
Raph turned his attention toward Thalia, who was nervously fidgeting with the two Widow’s Bite bracelets on her wrists, gifts from her currently missing sister for self defense. April stood next to her, bat slung over her shoulder and hand resting encouragingly on the younger’s. His confidence wavered slightly, but he managed to keep it off his face. They could do this. They’ve faced just as bad before…

Loathing
“You know I know, right?”
“I- I don’t even know you-“
“Don’t play dumb, Anthony, we know it’s you,”
“I-how- I uh-“
“We’re not stupid,”
“Don’t be such a killjoy, live a little!”
“I said no,”
“Why not?”
“M’not in the mood,”
“You’re a fucking bore, you know that?”
“Fuck off,”
“You sure you have to go out again? Can’t we just, I don’t know, get some of those blood packages?”
“From where? Sam, get the fuck over it! I gotta eat or I’m eating you, and not by choice!”
“Hey… I just-“
“You did this to me! You know that! I’m tired of doing this every night, you know I have to!”
“But do you want to?”
“No! No I don’t but that’s how it is! What else am I going to do?”
“I’m telling you, Gareth! I can find ways, I-I can fake an ID I can rob a damn hospital I’ll do it!”
“I don’t want you to!”
“Why?! I’m here just let me help!”
“We lost mom and dad, we lost our sister, I’m not losing you to jail, Sam! Their death couldn’t be avoided but yours can!”
Tara scoffed, taking another breath from her cigarette, smoke leaking from the sides of her mouth and rising into the air,
“I’ve seen you around, ever since you came here… we knew you weren’t normal,” she said, holding the cigarette between her middle and pointer, resting her elbow on her elevated knee, her other leg hanging down on the edge of the building they sat on.
Anthony had his mask off, hood up. He sad next to the symbiote host and stared down at the streets below. He let out a low hum, “I knew I wasn’t hiding it well, I didn’t try to. More to spite him more than anything,”
“I get that. I’d do the same,” Tara said, “but with Karma, well,” she shrugged, “it’s a bit different,”
“I’d figure,”
One less student went to their high school, at least. But they weren’t anyone Gabe liked anyways. That didn’t keep him from feeling guilty. Carnage begged to differ.
“It was deserved, he never left us alone about this and we barley know him!” The symbiote snarled, “he wants us to go to his parties that are shit anyways even though we already said no!”
Gabe pursed his lips, brows furrowing as his face scrunched angrily, his hands curled into fists in his pockets, “I know-“
“Then why feel like this?! We should be happy he’s gone!”
Gabe slammed the door closed in the bathroom and flicked on the lights, staring at the mirror and at the red and black symbiote’s face, slamming his hands against the counter at the sink, “It’s not about that! It’s the fact that you ate a fucking person on the streets without letting me know what the fuck you were going to do!”
Gareth never thought that standing over a body drained of its blood would get any easier, but now, he barley even feels it. It’s just another day, another lost soul. All because he had to eat.
He could go weeks without it, but once its time, it’s time. He doesn’t go for the parents, the children, he tries to desperately not to and avoid them. Instead, he prefers going for those spoiled rich CEOs.
However, murder is murder. It didn’t feel good afterward. No matter how much that bitch deserved it.
“It gets better,” Tara said, “it was an adjustment… us getting used to each other but, we made it work,”
Anthony hummed, looking at the other, then back down at his lap, “I’d imagine- I just- well,” he shrugged, “I’m not entirely like you two, I can reason with my powers, they just… are,”
The red haired girl put out her cigarette with symbiotic claws, tossing it to the side as her hand transformed back to human. She straightened her posture, stretching her arms over her head before setting them behind herself, bracing her body onto her arms as she let both her legs dangle over the ledge,
“You’ll figure it out. After all, they’re still your powers. In control or not, they belong to you… I guess you just have to make the best of a situation sometimes,” she scoffed, staring down at her own lap, “damn, I suck at comfort-“
“No,” the other teen said, taking in a breath. Tara looked over at him, titling her head,
He clasped his hands together in his lap, gripping at them tightly,
“No it-… it helps… it does,”
“You can’t just do whatever the fuck you want like that!”
“He was hurting you! Hurting us!”
Gabe exhaled sharply, whipping his head to the side before facing the mirror again, staring at the stubborn symbiote in their pale eyes,
“The least you could have done was tell me!”
“You would have said no! I did what I had to!”
Gabe pointed an accusing finger at the mirror, “Don’t fucking baby me! You share this body!”
“We share a body but you let it get stepped on all over!”
Gabe knocked over a glass cup off of the counter and it smashed on the ground with a loud crash, “Don’t lecture me about keeping myself alive!”
“And don’t lecture me about saving our dignity!”
“THIS ISN’T OUR BATTLE, THIS ISN’T YOUR BODY!” He screamed, “ITS MINE! MINE! NOT YOURS! LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!” The teen mindlessly gripped the side of the mirror and ripped it off of the wall, throwing it to the side into the empty bathtub where it shattered with a crash into massive shards.
He was breathing heavily. The symbiote kept quiet, as silent as he could. Gabe knew he was there, but somehow, he felt even more alone. Gabe pressed himself against the wall, not even realizing he was backing up to it and slid to the ground. He didn’t realize he was crying either.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, right? Right. Gareth felt full and then some. At least he ate sooner than later. He might last longer. Who fucking knows anymore. Not like Sam asked what the hell this serum did or the effects of it before letting that scientist bitch give it to him.
He sighed. Pulling his knees to his chest as he sat on his bed in clean clothes after washing up. It wasn’t Sam’s fault but… no, he couldn’t have known, they didn’t tell him everything.
He would have died without it.
But was it worth it? Would Sam have given him the serum if he knew what it would do to him?
Would Gareth have wanted to die there and then if he knew this was what he would be?
He didn’t know. He couldn’t decide what was worse.
He decided he didn’t want to figure it out now. He was tired.
So he lied down in his bed, pulled the covers over himself.
And he stayed awake, staring at the ceiling. His mind begged to differ.

“Cya, spider guy”
“You’re Tangle Web?” Tara scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, “we thought you’d be older,”
Tangle Web tightened his hands into fists, his visors narrowing as he shook his head and waved the other teen off with both his hands, “I don’t have time for this-“ and he turned away only for the teen to be in front of him again,
“How-“
Her hands bore symbiotic residue, her fingers shaped into claws as she poked him in the chest, “You got a lot of nerve, trying to turn your back on me when I’m talking to you,” she raised a brow with a smirk, looking up at the masked vigilante,
“Your tall as fuck,” she commented, now on her tippy toes, both teens now nose to nose, “what’s up with super guys being so tall? Is that a side effect? Just be average!”
Tangle felt his face warm, thank god for the mask, his visors widened slightly, arms stiff to his side. He shook his head violently, Tara smirking and sinking down to her feet, Tangle titled his head in a way as if he was rolling his eyes, “I don’t see how height effects anything in this situation-“
“It doesn’t-“
“Can you stop interrupting me-“
“Hey!” She titled her head, hands on her hips, “Only I can interrupt you, not the other way ‘round,” she leaned back on her heels, “why can’t a sweet girl like me ask a few questions and get a few answers?”
“Your questions are irrelevant and I’m busy-“
“What counts as relevant? I don’t remember us having a set conversation before you stopped us from our little…” she glanced up, as if listening to something, then back at Tangle, “outing,”
Tangle’s hands gripped into fists again, his leather gloves making a squeaking sound as he did, “I don’t have time for this,” he tried walking past her, only for Tara to take a step back and to the side to be right in front of him again,
“You’re quite moody, you remind me of someone-“
“No I don’t-“
Tara gave him a look, raising a brow. His whole face heated up and he snapped his mouth shut with an audible click from his teeth. Tara stared at him for a few moments, eyes narrowed with her lips twisted into a pout. Then she shrugged,
“Okay,” she chuckled and pushed his shoulder playfully, earning a small hiss from the other, “we were getting bored anyway,” she turned away, lifting a hand in the air as she walked to the edge of the rooftop, “don’t have to much fun without us, Hm?” She turned on her heels, facing him again as she stood at the ledge, “cya, spider guy,” and she fell backwards.
The symbiote was quick to react, as if on queue, protecting their host and clawing the side of the building and leaping off to another.
The pair left Tangle Web alone, dumbfounded and flustered.
. . .
Do It For Them
“That’s all you need?”
“Indeed. We thank you for your assistance and cooperation,”
“…”
“You are troubled?”
“I- well…” sigh, “dunno… I’m just… concerned,”
“Enlighten us,”
“Just- if this ‘OsCorp’ likes to study mutants… and they’re in the area… and me and my brothers and my dad are mutants… well…”
A low growl, “We are just as concerned. We hope to sort that situation when we are able, if we can. We advise you stay low, maybe lower than you are now. We are unaware of what they can do or why they do it,”
“… that wasn’t as comforting as I thought it would be-“
“We like to speak logically, not speak of false promises for a small moment of euphoria, no matter how much we wish to,”
“That’s- relatable, actually… well… if you need anything else…”
“Your help is appreciated, all we ask is for you to stay safe. We shall not bother you further unless we are wanted,”
“Heh… yeah… same here…”

Gabriel’s face was impassive and emotionless. To everyone who wasn’t Gareth or Anthony, he was as emotional as a brick wall.
April, was it? Well, it was clear she didn’t appreciate his company. Even after she demanded Carnage retreat and reveal his host, to which Gabe told the symbiote to do after a moment of hesitation to try and prove himself trustworthy, it was to no avail. Anthony wouldn’t approve of him so easily letting his identity go to strangers, especially with Scarlet Spider’s sister in the room, he wasn’t apart of this. He appreciated and cared for Anthony as his own brother, but he couldn’t make his decisions.
When the other girl gave him a hard stare, he glanced her way, blank expression unchanging until she looked away. He heard a low snarl in his mind,
“After you reveal your identity, give them information, offer our help- this is all the thanks we get?” Carnage scoffed, impatient and displeased as always.
When the group started walking ahead, Gabe made sure to stay in the back, as it was clear his presence wasn’t wanted by the majority. Only when they started moving did he respond to the symbiote,
“Impatience gets you nowhere,” he said,
Carnage let out a short tsk “Surly you jest, aren’t they aware of the risk you’re now in?!”
“Trust is not so freely given,” unbeknownst to him, April was lagging just slightly behind Thalia, as if guarding her from behind, her head titled slightly to the side to try and catch onto Gabriel’s rambling, seemingly to himself, “Us of all should know that,”
Carnage growled, “You speak truth, but it doesn’t mean I appreciate her lurking,”
Gabriel knew who this her was. Carnage already didn’t like this April girl. Gabriel thought her suspicion was understandable, apparently, the symbiote begged to differ. That’s something to look out for.
Gabriel let out a low hum, “We’re a team, Carnage. If you don’t trust me, how do I trust that you won’t lash out again?”
Carnage paused. It was silent for a few moments before Gabriel heard a deep sigh of defeat. Their conversation was over.
———————
April couldn’t decipher much of what the symbiote host was muttering about, but she did catch that last sentence. Her eyes widened, then narrowed as she sped up her pace next to Thalia, craning her neck to mutter into her ear,
“Do all symbiote hosts talk to themselves like that? Or is it just him?” She asked.
Thalia turned to her and shrugged, “He’s not talking to himself, he’s talking to Carnage most likely,”
April’s face scrunched up, “What? How?”
Thalia shrugged, “Athena knows a bit more than I do on that front… unfortunately-“ she cringed, “but we also know two other hosts. If you’re curious enough, maybe you can meet them sometime. They go to our school,”
April hummed, glancing away… then her eyes caught onto Donatello, who was traveling on the far side of the group, lagging a bit behind until he was walking side by side with the symbiote host, both of them seeming to be talking to each other in a low voice. The host’s face was impassive, the mutant turtle’s was scrunched up, lips pursed and brows furrowed. April frowned, turning back to Thalia,
“I just don’t like secrets…” she muttered.
Thalia’s lips pursed into a thin line, brows furrowed, deep in thought. April titled her head, did she say something wrong-
“No one does,” she said, “sometimes… you just need to have trust in one another,”

Friend or Foe? Edible or No?
“Explain to us why you wanted to come back again?”
Gareth, in his vampire form, let out a groan that sounded more of like a hiss with his fangs, “Because I wanna see the turtles!”
Tangle Web pinched what would be the bridge of his nose on his mask and shook his head, “This is a stupid idea-“
“It’s a great idea, okay! Don’t you wanna see the turtles?!”
“No,”
“Ugh! You’re no fun! We’re finding them anyways!”
Tangle Web groaned, but reluctantly followed suit with the vampire and the symbiote, all three of them jumping from rooftop to rooftop. That was until Carnage held out a clawed hand,
“We spot something-“
The symbiote was pointing to the street. The vampire and the masked vigilante looked over to where their friend was pointing.
Surely enough, the head of a familiar blue masked mutant turtle was poking out of one of those holes that led to the sewers, moving the lid out of the way and beckoning upwards after he had climbed out. After him was an orange masked mutant turtle, a bit smaller than the first. After that was a purple masked one with goggles and a metal purple shell. The last was the largest. His shell was spikey and he wore a red mask.
The three figures on the rooftop ducked to avoid being seen, using the shadows to their advantage at hiding their figures as they observed…
“I swear! You had to be there!” The blue clad turtle said to the purple, waving its three fingered hands in the air, “it was huge and goopy! One was a vampire and one had a mask like Scarlet Spider around here!”
The purple masked turtle had his arms crossed over his chest and he rolled his eyes, “Nardo, if I hear another word about this goop monster-“
“But it’s true!”
“Alright, you two,” the red one got between them, holding his arms out, “if it makes Leo feel better, we’ll keep an eye out this time, got it?”
The orange turtle shuddered, “Eugh! Goop monster? Ewwwwwww!”
The four turtles chatted amongst themselves for awhile… that chatter turned into a heated conversation as they argued which pizza place they could go to this time.
Gareth yawned, Carnage had a brow raised, and Tangle Web was holding his head in his hands and grumbling to himself. Things like ‘I could be on duty right now’ or ‘I could be petting my cat.’
The vampire elbowed the masked vigilante. When Tangle Web lifted his gaze, Gareth had a mischievous grin on his face. Tangle Web’s visors widened and he shook his head,
“No.”
Gareth smiled with his fangs, “Yes.”
Carnage scoffed.
Before Tangle Web could say anything else, Gareth was already crouched down on all fours and leapt off the building, Carnage following suit. Tangle Web groaned before swinging a web and jumping off as well.
Gareth landed on the street with a tuck and roll, landing on his feet on all fours crouched low. The orange masked turtle screeched and jumped back behind the tallest turtle as Gareth bared his fangs with a nasty smile. The blue and purple jumped back also near the taller and the red turtle did not hesitate to bark at his brothers to stand back as he narrowed his eyes and spread his arms to protect the turtles behind him.
Carnage landed behind the red turtle and that gave the tallest a fright, snapping his head behind himself and trying to gather the others as they got their weapons out in a ready stance. Their eyes were wide-
“See?! I told you so!” The blue one shouted.
Tangle Web landed on Carnage’s right, Gareth’s left, dislodging his web and standing tall. The masked vigilante stood at least 6 inches taller than the red masked turtle, which was daunting to the four. Carnage was way taller than all of them, bearing his teeth. Gareth barked out a laugh,
“Aye! Told ya we’d see them!” The vampire snapped at the masked vigilante over his shoulder.
Tangle Web rolled his eyes under his visors and stared at the four turtles. One had a bo staff, the blue one had the swords like before, and the orange had two nunchucks. They crowded around each other, their shells touching back to back as they stared at the three figures before them,
“I’m warnin’ ya, don’t take a step closer!” The red one barked.
Carnage narrowed his eyes, “Hm… a fighter…” he growled, lifting his chin up, “but to many spikes for my liking… I wouldn’t call it edible…”
The blue masked turtle let out a small peep of alarm before shaking his head and narrowing his eyes, gripping his weapon handles.
Gareth stuck his face close to the smallest turtles, making intense eye contact, which made the orange masked turtle jump in surprise,
“Ya think their blood taste good?” The vampire asked, titling his head.
The smallest turtle bared his teeth, “We’ll beat you to a pulp before you can find out!”
The vampire cackled and backed up with a smirk, “Whoa there! Don’t be so snappy! It was a joke!” But something told Tangle Web that his friend was considering it.
Carnage took a few steps to the side, looking down at the purple turtle, “Aye… smells like softshell-“ he hissed, “I’d have better luck with this one…”
The purple clad turtle gripped his bow staff, the blue clad turtle stepping forward next to the purple.
Tangle Web looked between his two friends and let out a low hiss with his fangs,
“If you guys just wanted to see if they were edible, you didn’t have to drag me along to find out,” he squared his shoulders and took a step forward, looking down at these mutants,
“Mind my friends, they’re a bit… iffy… at this time,”
The blue clad turtle stared at the masked vigilante, “Back away from my brothers!” He took a step forward, “Who are you and what do you want?”
Tangle Web held his hands behind his back, tilting his head, visors narrowing, “I guess we were just… curious,” he shrugged, “not gonna lie, didn’t actually wanna come-“
“We made him come over anyways!” Gareth perked up.
“-but” Tangle continued, “since we’ve seen ya, I think we can go-“
“Whaaaat? Why?!” Gareth grumbled, “I wanted to see how fast they can run away! Practice my pouncing!” Gareth made his hands into claws and waved them in front of him like a cat.
The tallest turtle let out a low growl, “Maybe you should listen to your friend and leave us alone,” he said in a low voice, “we don’t want trouble…”
Carnage was still staring at the purple clad turtle… they seemed to have been having their own heated conversation before the symbiote’s attention was caught by the masked vigilante,
“Alright,” Tangle Web raised his palms up in surrender, “we’ll leave ya, no trouble,” he said firmly.
Gareth rolled his eyes with a groan. Carnage gave one last menacing look at the purple clad turtle before both the vampire and the symbiote gathered around Tangle Web, leaving the circle the turtles were in before open.
“Cmon, boys,” Tangle Web waved over Carnage and Gareth, “let’s find you both food before you actually do decide to eat these fuckers,”

Rescue
It took a while, but eventually Leo was able to portal the group in past the walls, though the portal was a couple feet above the ground, so they all ended up falling on top of one another.
“Agh! That’s my arm!”
“Leo move!”
“Ow ow! Raph get off!”
“Mikey your butt is in my face!”
“April you’re crushing me!”
“Ah! Sorry Thal!”
The only person not loudly complaining as they untangled themselves was the symbiote host, who silently stood up and dusted himself off. He looked around, scanning the weapon lined walls of the area they ended up in. The sound of a crash got everyone’s attention, they turned a corner to see a large barred gate that led into the arena, where three armored yokai gladiators were crowding around a bloody figure laying on the ground.
“Athena!”
Thalia was the first to react, rushing forward and grasping at the barred gate. Before anyone else could move a red light burst out from around the wounded spider vigilante. When the light dulled enough they could see four glowing red spider-like legs sticking out from Athena’s back. Three of which were impaled through the gladiators. Thalia gasped, releasing the bars and bringing her hands to her mouth as the spider legs retracted, curling around her sister’s body defensively and giving the group a full view of one of the gladiators, lying limp on their side, a large hole punched through their chest. The right side of Athena’s mask was ripped, revealing the vigilante’s brown eye glowing red, with two other red eyes above and below her original one, all wide and fixated on the dead gladiator.
A gate on the other side of the arena opened, and more armored gladiators stormed out of it. Athena’s head turned, and shakily she positioned the spear she was holding’s tip out to defend herself from this new wave. The sound of metal ripping off a wall cut through the air. The group turned to see Gabriel, the symbiote host’s clawed red and black arms ripping the gate apart. It was enough to snap the rest of them back into action, as they all filled out into the arena after him, weapons raised and yelling out a battle cry.
Leo clashed with the ones coming in from behind, Donnie and April teamed up to take on the ones advancing from the right, Mikey and Raph teaming up on the ones on the left, while the symbiote host, now completely covered in his symbiote partner, practically plowed through the ones coming from straight on. Thalia hung back, shooting electric disks out at some gladiators. A few broke from the ranks, dodging her disks and advancing toward her. Before they could hit her a spear crashed into their sides, knocking them away. Athena stood shakily a few feet away, blood leaking from multiple wounds, breath shaky, and her three visible eyes glowing red.
“Athena!”
A gladiator was coming up from behind her. Without thinking, Thalia grabbed a mace from the ground and swung it forward, hitting the gladiator hard in the stomach and causing them to fall back onto the ground. She then turned to her older sister, who was now on her knees, trying to keep herself upright with her spear.
“Hey hey! We’re here! We got you!”
Thalia exclaimed, rushing over to her sister’s side.
“Leo! Portal! Now!”
A flash of blue and a large portal appeared in front of them. Raph rushed forward, swiftly scooping up Athena and Thalia and jumping through the portal.
As soon as they made it through, Athena’s red glow diminished as she dropped her spear and passed out.

How Human Are You?
Teddy took another drag from his cigarette, breathing in slowly before exhaling, letting the smoke rise out of his mouth. He’s been contemplating this for awhile. If there truly is a fourth symbiote out there, he’d rather know who they are and who their host is.
His best guess?
That kid, Gabriel Todd.
From what he’s gathered, it seems to be the only possibility currently. Teddy wasn’t to fond of him, he was to stoic for his liking and easily pushed over the edge, sort of like Rossi. Not only that, a student went missing at their school and he was positive it wasn’t Ravage or Karma.
Teddy knew where Vee was. They had found a new host and well… they’re figuring it out. Besides, they’re all the way across the city, they can’t get here and dip without a trace. It had to be this new guy. If this symbiote is related to Oscorp in any way-
Speak of the devil.
Teddy pushed himself off the brick wall and stood straight, holding his cigarette between his middle and pointer. The teen wasn’t looking for confrontation today, but since Gabe is right there, you might as well.
Across the empty courtyard was Gabriel Todd. He wore his signature red hoodie, the hood up over his head, hands in his pockets. The ravenette was striding over to the other, intent on getting answers… with some help of course.
Also? The blog was a dead giveaway.
“Todd?” He called out, titling his head, brows furrowed.
The other acknowledged him with a grunt, crossing his arms over his chest as he turned to look down at Teddy.
Teddy bottled up his anxiety. His drive for an answer to his questions outweighing the impending doom of human interaction.
“Haven’t seen you around much, you’ve been doing alright?”
Gabriel wasn’t sure why the Williams brother was so suddenly concerned of his well-being. It already raised red flags as the other approached him, now standing in front of him and taking a drag from the cigarette between his fingers.
He hated the smell of tobacco. His nose scrunched as he caught a whiff of it. The other didn’t seem to bothered nor did it seem that he cared either.
Gabe was hesitant, and the other noticed it as well, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly with their head titled like a curious animal.
“I visited a few friends for awhile, I was helping them move in,” was what he settled on for an answer.
Williams didn’t seem to satisfied with the answer, he seemed even more skeptical than before, but didn’t call him out on it. Instead, he shrugged,
“Well, just checking, shit with the news sparked my interest,”
“Oh?”
Williams hummed, turning his head to the side to take one final drag on the cigarette before dropping it to the floor and stomping it out, twisting his shoe from side to side on the stub against the concrete. The teen ran his fingers through his hair to get it out of his face, exhaling slowly. He clicked his tongue against his teeth,
“You know I know, right?”
Gabe turned his head to look at Williams, but he wasn’t looking at him, instead, he kept staring out to the side. He had his brow raised, lips pursed,
“Excuse me?”
Gabe heard a low growl from the back of his mind. Then it clicked. The muscles in his throat tensed.
Williams now had a cocky grin on his face, as if he was proud of solving the puzzle, but it was short lived. He turned back to look at Gabe who stood his ground,
“What’s their name?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,”
“Yes you do,” Williams insisted,
“I don’t,”
The ravenette let out a low hum, but to Gabe, it sounded more of like a growl. Like a growl Carnage would make, he was frowning now. Almost displeased. Gabe didn’t know that the quiet kid in the back of the class could somehow be intimidating.
Damn. It’s always the quiet ones, “Maybe I need to jog your memory,”
Before Gabe knew it, a black claw reached for him and grabbed the front of his shirt, yanking him forward so he was face to face with the other,
“I’m not playing games. This is serious,”
Gabe’s eyes fell on the hand clenched around the front of his shirt. Not a hand- a claw. Grey and black claws. Claws of a symbiote if he’s ever seen them.
Yep… always the quiet ones.
Gabe grabbed at the other’s wrist that held him hostage and used his leg to kick at the other’s knee to pull himself free. The other pulled away without much effort, seeming to let him go without a fuss. However, it was far from over.
Before Gabe could collect himself, another black and grey claw slashed at him and scraped the side of his cheek, whipping his face to the side. He let out a short grunt through his teeth, glaring back at the other as he stumbled away helplessly, reaching a hand to the wound on his cheek, blood now on his fingertips.
He heard Carnage snarl and felt a pulsing around his shoulders and back,
“No,” he gritted through his teeth.
Carnage let out a screech in frustration, but obeyed regardless.
Williams cocked his head to the side as he stared at the other.
Almost there.
Gabe looked up and Williams was fast approaching, his arms now black and grey claws, formed and shaped by a symbiote. Gabe clenched his hand into a fist and reeled his body back, standing in a ready position as he built up all his energy to thrust his fist at the other.
“Ah haha…”
All Williams did was smile, a grim smile. Though he didn’t know this teen well, this was not his smile. It was… sharper… wider, even. Did he have more teeth? Black and grey symbiotic goo was cracking up from his neck to the sides of his face as he raised a claw right as he was thrusting his fist at him,
“Oh, Todd,” his voice was deeper, gruffer, “don’t be scared,” the claw was slamming down at him, right down to his eye as his punch missed when the other dashed to the side, “let ‘em out!”
Tumblr media
Gabe couldn’t hide him anymore. He let out a scream of anger as he felt something familiar crawl up his back and over his arms, black and red goo reforming his limbs as Carnage reached his claws to grasp at the other’s wrist, preventing it from making contact to his host.
Williams grunted. His face turned back to something more familiar, more human. He no longer smiled, he wore his frown again and the goo that was crawling up his face subsided, retreating down to the base of his throat, mimicking the pattern that Carnage made on his host’s limbs. Gabe breathed heavily, brows arched as he stared at the other host with fury, baring his teeth.
Williams simply looked back down at him, stiffly nodded,
“It’s nice to meet you, Carnage.”

16. What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?
OOC:
Gabe and Carnage argue all the time in Gabe’s head if that counts. I think it does. Gareth argues with his brother in his head. He hears his brother’s voice and finds ways to retaliate against his scoldings like ‘where have you been?!’ So when he gets home, he has an answer and can cower in his room away from him. Anthony argues with Fury the most in his head, just constantly making up fights or something Fury would pick on him about and just get really angry and fed up about an argument that didn’t even exist in the first place. This counts for Scarlet Spider/Athena as well.

Outta There
“…”
“Dude legit just left!”
“I thought you said I could talk to him?”
“I did! But he just vanished! I honestly thought he would stay longer… huh,”
“Sorta creepy… but at the same time maybe they’re just busy?”
“Doing what? Eating people?”
*sigh* “Well… if he ever shows up again… I want a more clear explanation of who the hell these guys are- if they’re in contact with my brother, they’re in contact with me from now on, got it?”
. . .
It was a quieter side of the city. Near the skatepark and where Gabe spent most of his time. On the other end of a black leash Gabe held was a greyish brown borzoi, keeping pace with his owner, the loyal dog he was, on his skateboard as the teen and his dog skated down the empty streets, close to the sidewalk. A slight lean to the right turned his board around the corner, the borzoi cantering slightly ahead, tail up and wagging.
Gabe had left the sewers and the turtles when Athena wanted to head back home. He left that night. It didn’t seem his presence was wanted any longer so he decided to leave them to heal. There was no more he and Carnage could do anyways.
The sun was starting to set, the sky a pale blue fading into orange, the street lights beginning to turn on. The skatepark, however, lively as ever. The people who skate there were night owls, staying up as late as they can until they’re to tired to stand up straight. Gabe jumped to the side of the board and stepped on the back of it as it launched upright into his palm, lifting it up and under his arm. The borzoi slowed its pace to walk side by side with its owner, looking up at him with big eyes. Gabe leaned a hand down to rub the dog’s head. The pair found their usual spot with a good view of the skate park in the shadows and a brick wall for them to lean on. Gareth calls it the Batman corner because it’s so dark and angsty.
“I don’t exactly appreciate being watched…”
The symbiote growled in their host’s mind. The borzoi sitting next to Gabe was also on edge. It’s ears were perked as it waved his head around the dark corner, searching for the foreign scent.
Gabe kept his gaze forward, but responded to the symbiote, rolling his head upward and to the side against the wall,
“You’ll risk being seen at this hour, Raphael?”
He lingered far enough from the skatepark that he was out of earshot of everyone there. However, he doubted they really were paying attention or would care.
A thud was heard from around the corner from the alley. He heard a low chattering that vibrated so low it sounded like a growl. He heard the mutant snap his jaw shut as he heard a low exhale from around the corner as the mutant crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against the wall. Raphael had his hood up, his grey hoodie sleeves torn off. The mutant remained hidden in the shadows as to not be seen. Though the others probably wouldn’t notice, he wasn’t taking the chance.
“It’s rude just to leave like that,”
The borzoi let out a low growl, scooting closer to his owner and letting out a low whimper, pressing against the teen’s leg. Gabe lowered his hand and set his hand on the dog’s head.
“Our work was done,”
“You could have said goodbye,”
“Yet you made it clear you didn’t wish for our company in the first place,” the teen retorted in a low tone, “so we left you to it,”
Raphael’s eyes squinted, thinking for a moment.
“Why are you here, Raphael,”
Silence.
A grunt and a shuffle.
“What business do you have with my brother?”
“Nothing anymore,”
“Anymore?” The mutant snapper’s voice raised slightly,
“We simply wanted information from a certain organization, we asked your brother to hack the system for us and he gave us what we needed,” he explained, his voice never deterring or giving anything away, much to the snapper’s dismay,
“After that, we promised he could call us for any pressing matters as a form of thanks. Then, he called us to fetch Athena from the Battle Nexus and after that was done, we left,”
“What organization would that be?”
“This particular one? None of your concern-“
“What organization?”
Carnage let out a low growl. Gabe blinked slowly with a low hum,
“The Avengers,”
Raphael’s face scrunched up, “Why the Avengers?”
“Personal matters that I will not disclose to you as it is none of your concern,”
“And will my brother get caught from hacking a fucking Avenger’s system?”
“No, he will not,” Gabe said, firmly.
And it was silent again.
Gabe heard a soft sigh. The sun started setting and it was darker than before, the sky a dark orange, sky darkening by the minute. Lights illuminated the skatepark as the people with their skateboards screeched and shouted, smiles plastered on their faces as they rolled and flipped on the rounded ramps.
And they coexisted. And they soaked everything in. Not on the same page, still a bit tense, not even close to understanding, but they were doing alright for now.
And they were okay.
