what are your hcs for kiran

OHH..... I DO really like thinking of Kiran as their own character, too, despite being a stand-in for the player. I don't have a ton of complex thoughts about them, I Do tend to just absorb other people's hcs for them LMFAO (LIKE. I AM SOOO intrigued by your analysis of them being all luck. Mid maxed to hell LMFAO)

I also really adore @hulloitsdani 's portrayal of Kiran... solidifying them as silly strange somewhat off-putting individual, for me!

I really like to think they contain just. So much. World's smartest dumbass. Guy who does fuck all but is still somehow extremely perfectionistic. I like to think they're impulsive, and they have the luck to make it work. Chill individual who has Something. Going on. That makes people uneasy. More than the seemingly lacking a face.

I also very much like to hc that Kiran covers Alfonse's blindspots, in personality -- and Alfonse covers Kiran's. This IS essentially canon but you do have to extrapolate a bit since Kiran is a silent protag in FEH!

I like to think canon Kiran exists in a universe parallel to my summoner OC's. One thing I've been rotating in my brain actually is the Spring paralogue featuring bunny Alfonse and Sharena, who are with a different summoner -- I have a mental image of that summoner being Moe. Like two ships passing in the night.....

I love what they did for Books 6 & 7 writing-wise, I think it was really good at raising the stakes and letting us get to know other characters better (tbh, I wish the first 5 had been more like it lol).

That said...I really miss Adeuce and hope Book 8 brings them back to us 😭

#i think it's actually super smart writing wise to take them away for 6 & 7 (and 4 to an extent) #bc it takes away the reader's sense of security by sidelining the characters we've been with since the beginning that were always there #+ they probably realized that trying to shove them in would make things more convoluted and may bring down the quality #im 99% sure that adeuce (esp ace since he doesn't have his um yet) will play a big part in what's next since it'll be grim-focused #and i'm very excited!!! in the meantime i will continue crying over book 7 lol #twisted wonderland #twst #ace trapolla #deuce spade

on the one hand it feels really good to be performing again but on the other it's been literally years since my last live performance and I feel SO rusty

im unsure how i feel about toa as a series so far but by god does riordans writing amuse me

#trials of apollo #i dont like toa as much as i did hoo because it feels like a slight downgrade #because hoo was such a GRAND STORY that it would be hard to top like they literally schismed the gods. went to rome and greece #to HELL AND BACK #found A MYSTERY OF THE WORLD #and had to defeat the EARTH ITSELF #so toa is like a massive downgrade in scale like apollo is human and he has to overthrow capitalism TT like ok #and i dont find the characters as endearing im mainly talking about meg #shes growing on me but shes not really a character i care so much about #and also the way that hoo was written from multiple perspectives i think riordan really shined #i dont like riordans first person povs as much as i like his third persons #also i feel like the target audience age went down again so that may also be why #the books are a lot shorter and apollo just isnt as endearing as percy jackson yet #who was down to earth and funny despite some of his main graspable personality in the first couple being like haha one liner #i domt like apollo as much esp in his introduction but im sure it was the point #its just that its hard to like a character when you go from like 7 really endearing teens with interesting struggles to like #Literally a Stuck up god who cannot help self flagellating like every 3 words in the first chapter #hopefully i like it better by the end of this one (2nd book) cause i wasnt really into hoo until the end of son of neptune #and mark of athena and house of hades my beloved 🥺 #AT LEAST LEOS IN THIS BOOK !!!!

#i don't LIKE judging an author based on gender but like that does sum up all my feelings abt it #okay actual thoughts: plot was cliche but idm that it's why i read it #it reads like it was written by someone with NO mental health experience whatsoever esp did #it was trying to make like 7 different points at once including about female hysteria #which was undermined by all the characters being demonstrably mentally ill #the doctor is like. cartoonishly evil and every other character is annoying #violet is shown to be smart and yet fucks the artist guy while pretending to have a seizure KNOWING the doctor is running to her #and the ending is rushed #okay NOW i feel better and yes i'm aware i'm the only person on this site who's read this book

it's equal amounts comical and concerning to walk the 300 meters from my old high school (art school) and my brother's old high school (informatics and technology school) because you go from rainbows and anarchist graffiti straight into fascist stuff all over the place. like they literally share a parking lot
