Does anyone want a fanfic of the reunion with Hera and Ezra and have Kanan be there as well just because he is? Like imagine after Ezra says hi Hera I'm home then Hera will run in Ezra's arms and then Kanan just shows up. At first Ezra is confused and has so many questions, then he's like the heck with it and then he smiles and runs to Kanan in a tackle hug 😁😂😭

Thinking about how the Shatterpoint lineage is haunted by shatterpoints.

Mace Windu will always believe in the Republic, believe that the Jedi's faith in the system is enough to overcome the dark and because of it he won't see Dooku or Anakin's falls coming.

Depa Billaba will always lose the Battle of Haruun Kal--no matter when in the war it happens, whether she clings to the light or falls to the dark, she leaves the planet comatose.

Caleb Dume will always be haunted by his master's death--he sees it happen before it happens, whether during his gathering or on the battlefield--and he will always be powerless to stop it, always propelled by her final command: run.

Ezra Bridger will always exist in the shadow of the Empire--he loses his parents, his own master, his newfound family--all the while chasing the ability (with a lightsaber that is also a blaster, with the darkness promised by Maul, with the World Between Worlds) to stop the loss it heralds from happening and always helpless to stop it.

Dear Church of Ezrabine,

Today we are going to meditate upon the sacred text known as Ezra’s Duel with Danger, one of the most angsty Star Wars Rebels books in the series. It takes place after Droids in Distress and before Battle to the End.

In this book, Ezra has to cope with the depressing fact that Empire Day is also the date of his birthday. He has to overcome his resentment towards Tseebo who failed to save his parents and protect him when he was younger. Then, most challenging of all, Ezra must resist the and overcome the temptations and deceptions of the Dark Side.

On one of the worst days of his life, Sabine is the person who knows exactly how to cheer him up. She gives fifteen-year-old Ezra the first birthday present he has received since he was seven years old.

There aren’t as many Sabezra interactions to contemplate as in our other sacred texts, but we do have this mysterious little moment:

What could possibly be more important than Jedi training? For Ezra, it was whatever he was doing with Sabine. And no, he’s not “with” with her. Not yet, anyway.

Now for some major angst, dear Sabezra shippers. This is going to hurt. Ezra had a Force vision when he and Kanan were inside the Jedi Temple on Lothal.

Ezra goes from being happy that Sabine defended him to hoping that in a few years things would work out between them and they would be a couple to absolute heartbreak when Ezra hears Sabine say that “he’s just a little kid” who is scared and alone. She feels pity for him.

Ezra’s is so heartbroken that he starts crying. He may be young, but he really does love Sabine.

Ezra realizes that the conversation he heard wasn’t real. It was a Dark Side deception that was a manifestation of his worst fear: the fear that the people he loves most don’t feel the same way about him.

Here, we learn that Sabine is Ezra’s greatest weakness and by the end of Rebels and in Ahsoka Season 1, we see him realize that she is also his greatest strength. She is the person he can always count on. In the live action series we also witness how the reverse is also true. Sabine’s desire to be reunited with Ezra is her greatest weakness, but his love for her and confidence in her is what strengthens her emotionally, opening her up to finally being able to connect with the Force.

Sabine and Ezra belong together. Do not lose faith.

I never really liked the fact the whole fandom with their “lineages” because like…it’s very simplified & falls too closely with typical Nuclear family dynamics and with Jedi, it’s just not the case. Take the “Shatterpoint Lineage”. Its focus all on Windu’s famed ability and doesn’t address the fact that it’s more complex than that.

Everyone usually acknowledges Cysin Myr as his master but Yoda also helped trained Mace. Then Mace trained Depa. This image collection does exclude the fact she tutored Xaran Raal so closely she could of taken him as a Padawan. Then you have Kanan, who trained both Ezra and then Sabine, the latter in lightsaber combat and then her training is picked up by Ahsoka, whose also helped Ezra & Kanan in the past.

I just think it’s far more potent to really take into consideration the actual relationships between characters instead of assigning them to roles akin to a nuclear family and replacing “parents” with “master”. It definitely adds more complexity considering Ahsoka & Yoda aren’t pulled into a “Disaster Lineage” because that Jedi Line includes two Sith Lords & again, doesn’t acknowledge how he’s trained countless others (including a Inquisitor).
