ferrari posting charles born in monaco raised in maranello and audi commenting on carlos insta post? like is it finally happening 🤯
psa really loove how silly and goofy charles is being nowadays. he is looking so much like sauber charles as well, idk he just seems happier and fresher which i hope he carries into the year, we don’t want broody charles again pls.
ferrari fumbled the bag once again lol, seems like they're announcing yachts/boats/hypercar idk??
it seems funny how they post stuff that indicates contract renewal and then it's a random announcement or nothing. really wonder how they're gonna approach the actual announcement.
they gotta be aware that everything they post with charles / hinting an announcement will have people thinking automatically about a renewal, they can't be stupid. there's definitely a lot going on behind the scenes that makes them delay it.
the carlos contract issues problem is getting quite loud in the mainstream (it separates the public into two groups -- one that believes ferrari should get a driver that fits more charles' driving style to maximize the car if it's built for charles (like alex). the other group believes carlos is getting mistreated and deserves better.) both are valid arguments but realistically, things indicate that charles would be ferrari's first choice. he's their ferrari academy driver, and in general the tifosi have deeper relationship with him than carlos.
i fully believe that charles leaving would cause a lot of PR damage to ferrari, because there's no other driver on the grid (or in other racing series like f2) that has such a strong personal devotion to their team.

The way everyone is sleeping on Loscar.
Like you are telling they fought for the F3 title in the same team and Oscar just won over Logan? They were fighting for the title till the last race basically?
You are telling me they raced in F4 together?
That they competed in the British Formula 4?
That they raced again with each other in F2?
That they would both be rookies at the same time in F1? Starting together?
That they raced in multiple karting series together?
That they both seemingly grew up together?
They consider each other friends so much so that they wish the other good luck on their home race?
To add after the prema videos:
Logan saying Oscar looks like a koala, that he has koala eyes.
Oscar saying Logan loves fishing and being close because Logan loves being on the boat.
Oscar making fun of Logan being patriotic.
Oscar and Logan literally always getting lost in their own conversations.
Oscar trying to imitate Logan's accent.
Oscar being confident that Logan's favourite food is waffles and being wrong.
Logan and Oscar losing their shit together.
Oscar feeding Logan. They are so comfortable that Logan trusted Oscar with the fucking Marshmallow challenge not knowing what it is.

Peter Collins Lore ✨️
Tumblr media
Thought Peter's dad ran a garage that allowed Peter access into motorsports, and supported him with him, Peter would not get along with his dad often. Peter's dad was known to be quite rude and did not approve of Peter's marriage to Louise Collins.
Peter and Louise met once at a gathering but didn't think much of it. A few years later Stirling Moss invited Peter to a party where Louise Collins was going to be and when they saw each other it was love at first sight. A week later they were married.
Louise felt like she had to be at every one of Peter's races because she worried if she was not at one he could get hurt.
Peter loved the sea and swimming, and him and Louise brought a boat called "Mipooka" which they would travel to different GP's on, other drivers like Mike Hawthorn would join them on their travels.
Peter Collins became very close to Enzo Ferrari's dying son, Dino Ferrari, and he works often visit Dino in hospital. Dino woule get Peter to go to the cinema and watch films so he could come back and recount the film to Dino.
When Dino passed away, the next race in France Peter wore a black arm band in honour of Dino. He won that race.
After Dino's death Enzo Ferrari saw Peter Collins like a son, because he appreciated Peter's friendship with Dino. He insisted Peter move into an apartment near Enzo's house and Peter would wake up at times to find Enzo in the apartment folding his clothes and making him breakfast.
It's believed that Enzo did not like it when Peter married Louise as he felt that Louise was a distraction and that Peter spent more time away from the apartment. Louise insisted this was never the case though and Enzo and his wife were always very nice.
One time Enzo got very mad at Peter when during a race he felt that Peter purposely crashed a car to not race and get home early with Mike Hawthorn. So next race Enzo took away his f1 seat and demoted him to f2. Mike Hawthorn said he would not drive if Peter couldn't drive and when Peter did extremely well in f2 to prove a point he was given his seat back again.
In 1956 Peters teammate was Fangio. Peter was in the running to become world champion that year, Brittan's first, however when he came into the pit and found that Fangio's car was broken he jumped out and gave his car to Fangio, insisting that he had more years to win the championship and it was only right for Fangio to have the car.
In 1957 when Fangio left Ferrari, Peter Collins would have been #1 driver for the team but instead he went and told Mike Hawthorn who needed a drive to contact Ferrari as there was going to be a free seat, and because Mike was more experienced he became #1 driver (though Enzo always said that there was never rankings)
In the Ferrari film, Peter Collins is featured a lot and they even recreate a famous photo of Enzo and Peter within the film.
Peter loved solving puzzles and Mike wrote in his book the day he died Peter was really happy to have solved a metal puzzle he was working on.
A woman claimed that Peter had promised to marry her when he suddenly married Louise Collins but he insisted that was not the case.
He lived in France for a while to avoid the conscription for the British army. Though Mike Hawthorn was critisied heavily for not doing it (though he had a valid reason) people seemed to forget about Peter Collins.
Peter knew about Mike Hawthorn's kidney issue and knew that Mike would not be able to race another season in F1 as he was becoming too ill, so he was likely determined to try and help Mike win the world championship even though he could have won in 1958 as well.
Peter and Louise brought a house right before he passed away, it was likely he was thinking of retiring from F1 soon.
While racing Mike and Peter would have fun constantly letting the other one pass, it was like a game to them.
He was the governor of a local school and very involved with it. Even though he didn't like school himself he felt it important to encourage children to do well.
Enzo Ferrari said he would go with Louise to the next GP race, breaking his rule of never going to the actual races. However while she went, he never turned up.
Post on lore about Mike Hawthorn and Peter Collins friendship coming soon

hi nicologist blorbie, i like nico but i find his media personality kinda... too polished? like george russell but with more personality. like he's doing a performance but maybe it's just his overly therapized self-awareness. ur thoughts?
hshdjdj hello anon... welcome to the pantheon of the same complaint nico has faced his whole life 😫😭 from 2013-2016, to all the way back in Williams he was called ranging from "doesn't have a sense of humour/too German" to "too stoic/wooden/PR focused" the George Russell before George Russell. let's break down your question
the 2016 media narrative was actually "Lewis Hamilton parties every week vs Nico Rosberg has given up all pleasures to life to eat oatmeal and train" and their press con pictures were Nico being 😶. couple that when he was put against the other German on the grid, the naturally charismatic and joking seb vet, nico absolutely came across as a stick up his ass.
Tumblr media
now, obviously, as you have called me a nicologist I'm going to have a biased take. let's talk about media personalities -- everyone has them. even the most animated of blorbos, daniel playing up being funny, lewis with his peace and love, even fernando refusing to explain what el plan is everytime 😈 (this is a man who owns being a menace)
some people refuse to play into theirs as much, like max, and accordingly the media characterises him as blunt/straightforward/harsh. the media is nicer to you when you work with them, which is why Daniel is such a media darling and the face of DTS, despite not being a top 5 race contender.
nico has always been aware of how he's perceived. there's a will buxton article about it that's pretty fascinating. even before entering f1, he knew he'd be World Champion's Son and his media personality while he was a driver reflected that; diplomatic, uncontroversial, says the right and boring thing (and yes, even lying about it 🤭 my darling care has the receipts). my fav nico moments are when he'd break off it a bit — the iconic "if Lewis wants to change something then he can drive cleanly himself" agdjjd while jenson went O_O [obv media personality =/= how they actually are]
present day nico, as an f1 commentator, I'm very curious what your idea of polished media personality is. cause to me, that means someone who is milquetoast, wouldn't rock the boat, impersonal and says the 'right' thing. nico is the guy who said Ferrari's current strategy team is worse than an F2/F3 team live on air 😭 (as he should), the guy who asked lando point blank what the difference is between p3 and p4 (who didn't know 😭 bless his heart), who said yeah why should max go into a corner thinking lewis is gonna miss the apex
peak rosberg shit stirring hehe
youtube
I actually don't even agree with nico always, like for instance when he said merc should've prioritised lewis over george in dutch (?) gp. like don't make me defend george but he was right on his call for softs and prioritising His race, but that's whatever
not a huge fan of the term overly therapized~ cause a lot of Nico insults is "this man needs to go to therapy" and when they find out he HAS they're like "this man has had Too Much therapy" like 😭😭😭 he cannae win...... I do call him the most therapized man of all time, but that's gentle ribbing. when people say it anonymously w/o any way for me to extrapolate intent I'm a bit hm 🤥
cause like if he was saying things like emotional labour and 'speaking my truth' that claim would have more weight... but you know who Would say things like that? [redacted] 🔫
coming back to your question. every f1 driver is doing a performance with their public persona, some are better some are worse. Nico is no longer in f1 as a driver and doesn't need to be careful and measured anymore, and To Me is one of the few fun personalities in f1 as a commentator. you can totally disagree cause it's a matter of personal preference.
Post retirement Nico, having a YouTube channel for Years and playing into the memes (his ig comments are a nightmare of the same equal machinery joke) is perhaps more aware than most how people see him. he also doesn't need to care as much, he can laugh at himself -- at his own expense. he even posted what is essentially a taking L's compilation
youtube
if his polished persona is coming across as a cringe girldad who is way too excited about electric cars then by god he's the greatest male manipulator out there
obv if you find him too curated/inauthentic that's your prerogative, but I I would ask; have you actually watched the guy or are you going off public consciousness/someone else's interpretation. i wish he was as conniving and calculating now as people gave him credit for, unfort this is a dude who geeks out over finding a charging station in Italy.
love him, hate him, you can't deny he's fun

'It's the start of something' – Mick Schumacher follows in Dad's sports car footsteps
Mick Schumacher's career stalled after two difficult years – now he's set to complete a circle started by his father by making his Le Mans Hypercar debut this weekend
Almost 33 years ago, a young Michael Schumacher found himself indignantly stranded just outside the Silverstone pit exit when his Mercedes C11 Group C car’s gear linkage crumbled during qualifying for the British Empire Trophy, as the ex-WEC round was known then. After the Silver Arrows junior driver’s mechanics came to his rescue – legging it down the pitlane to fix the car – the incident was deemed 'outside assistance' and the German hotshot was promptly excluded from the event, along with his Le Mans-winning team-mate Jochen Mass. Over three decades later, his son Mick is now getting to grips with what he calls "the basics" of a fast and furious, 40-car strong sports car field as he prepares to make his World Endurance Championship debut this weekend for Alpine in Qatar. Father and son have an uncanny reverse symmetry to their careers – while Michael had a couple of years of sports car appearances before famously launching into F1, son Mick is now embarking on an endurance racing journey after a couple of years in the grand prix world. Speaking to Motor Sport, the former F2 and F3 champion is clearly keen to put recent unsatisfying years behind him when he was either stuck at the back of the F1 grid with Haas or on the bench as a reserve driver for Mercedes – and describes how glad he is to be back behind the wheel.
"It's amazing," he enthuses. "It was my first season [in 2023] not racing in over 15 years, so it felt quite weird and I didn’t like it, so I'm happy that I'm back in the racing seat. Also, I feel like that working aspect of trying to prove yourself, trying to get after it, is something so special and unique to sports in general, and if you just sit on the bench, you don’t really get to do that. “I think it's definitely a start of something, which hopefully is a good season, a good project. Who knows what the future holds?" With limited testing in WEC, over the course of the Prologue and practice sessions Schumacher has just been trying to acclimatise to what is a congested Losail track at the best of times; a tight circuit originally designed for MotoGP bikes. "It's been my first experience with every car on track," he says, slightly wide-eyed. "I think it was good to have that with the GT cars, and see how [a number of] Hypercars behave on track – it's out of the ordinary to me [after] racing in open wheels. But it’s been positive, I got to do my laps. I think we learned a lot." Having only driven featherlight karts and single seaters up to this point, Schumacher admits that Alpine A424 has come as a bit of a shock to the system. Its Mecachrome V6 and rear-axle MGU might pump out a combined 670bhp, but compared to his Haas F1 car the French car still feels like a bit of an electric blue tank. "It's a very heavy car, low downforce, low power compared to what I’m used to," he says. "But there's still this racing aspect, there's still this aspect of trying to improve every single bit. And at the end, [while] not everybody has the same [cars], we're all pretty much in the same boat." Schumacher said that he was still adjusting to driving within a team of three, sharing the same car, rather than as an individual. "It's a very different approach to F1. Sometimes I still catch myself trying to be the fastest. It's just about learning to take the information, process it and be able to use it right away, counter-checking with the experiences of my teammates so I don't go in blind. We're trying to position ourselves with a car where we know we can last around ten hours."
With the Qatar race stretching out so long, Schumacher says that he has to be ready for anything that might be thrown his way, clearly relishing the challenge of this new discipline. That said, the young German makes no bones about where he’s trying to get back to. WEC is quite simply a springboard. "The closeness to Europe and the ability to merge it with my reserve driver role in F1 are for me the main aspects," he says when asked as to the reason behind the WEC move. "It's important to just go racing again, to stay race fit, sharp in my head so that whenever the opportunity arises in F1 I'm ready to switch over to that. But I think that there's a big future in Hypercar at the moment, with so many manufacturers coming in,and more races coming into the calendar, I hope, at some points. I think there's loads of great things to come in both championships." When asked 'Why Alpine?,' a similar response is forthcoming. "The closeness to F1 is definitely a big aspect," he admits. "But also just the fact to see how committed Alpine was as a brand to push this project – it's also a big factor. The combination was just difficult to resist." Part of the excitement around WEC this season is that in a 19-strong Hypercar line-up, no one is quite sure what the competitive order will be. Heavyweights Ferrari and Toyota will likely be near the sharp end, but this season Porsche and Cadillac look like serious threats to their supremacy. Meanwhile, new kids on the Hypercar block Alpine and Lamborghini are the dark horses. Even Schumacher himself isn't sure. "Honestly, I don't think anybody knows, really, where we are," he says. "I think we're just very excited to see how it's going to go for the ten hours here. It's a great track, it's a great place, great venue to come to, and it'll be exciting to get the first experience in race trim and try to contextualise every little detail and see where we end up."

Could you do a sunglasses ranking please?🙏
YES. okay. so this is considering all of the pairs of sunglasses he wears that i am aware of... if there's more. well. i probably just thought they were one of these (or i forgot about them) but logan is a big sunglasses guy (self-proclaimed) like i don't think there is or ever will be a race where he doesn't wear sunglasses at some point. so ofc i have opinions about all of them
i'll put it under. a read more bc this post is excessive. open for logan sunglasses + thoughts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these are p1. i think i have mentioned that these sunglasses specifially are my favorite of is... i don't really know why but they're my personal favorite. and he wears them a pretty decent amount so i see this as a win (also that picture of him in monaco in the polo shirt makes me so stupid thought you should know)
i think i like the. idk what the word is. the little strip above his nose. idk. i don't wear sunglasses man i just have a lot of opinions about them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
second place... These. just based on what i've seen i feel like he wears these ones the most. they're the origin of my "i love a man in big ugly sunglasses" bc they are kind of. Large. and for what it's worth i know these are the sunglasses he has in his GQ video where he says he can't live without sunglasses. maybe they are his favorite. who knows
Tumblr media Tumblr media
final step of the podium. whatever the fuck these are. i don't think he ever wore them outside of this specific merch shoot? but i like them. maybe i'm just blinded by the fact that i like this merch shoot... that first pic is in like. every single post i've done where someone asks for my favorite logan pics. good one man. FOR REASONS...
this post is about SUNGLASSES sorry. i like these sunglasses. but i'm not entirely convinced they're real
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fourth is these! if i have ever referred to these as my least favorite i mean they're my least favorite out of the three pairs of sunglasses i feel like he wears the most. (which is my first and second place + these) but i don't think he's worn these ones in a bit? like both of these photos are from F2. i know he wore them in jeddah two years in a row bc i had a whole thing about them
so not the point. even if he hasn't worn them in a while. not my favs. it's still logan so i will still eat it up but. i prefer the other ones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fifth? fish. i like these pictures. the are definitely a function over fashion thing for once (he has said he like sunglasses bc they're a good fashion statement... like okay... guy who wears the same quarter-zip every race week...) i have only ever seen him wear them when he's on a boat. i doubt he would ever wear these to a race see prior mention of fashion and all his other sunglasses i think are like. expensive. remember when i said i don't wear sunglasses yeah idk
i like the fisherboy in him. happy summer break logan put these sunglasses back on and go fishing thanks
Tumblr media
and last i have. whatever these are. mostly at the bottom bc i don't think he's worn them since prema? but also they're kind of a lot. maybe i'm just crazy but i think he looks better in the darker sunglasses than he does these ones... anyways. i think these ones have been retired since f3. replaced. but they're included on this list bc i found this picture in my camera roll
since i did throw this one on the end. i am SURE... there are older pairs of sunglasses he doesn't wear anymore that i missed. my ranking is mostly of those three (which i put 1-2-4) but even above that mostly the top two. i feel like he alternates between those two. but i get irrationally happy when he wears my favorite ones because. Well. they're my favorite...

Fabio Quartararo- Gasly sister part 1
A/n: I'm well aware that Monaco was the same weekend as Mugello but let's just ignore that fact
This will have two parts and the second part will be out in the next few days
Monaco is such a beautiful country and I love going there to see friends and to get away from home for a bit but somehow I have never been to the Monaco Grand Prix despite my brother having been in f1 since 2018. This year however I'm finally going to go and experience everything that people rave about for myself and I couldn't be more excited as it has been on my bucket list since Pierre started racing seriously and finally after all these years I get to tick it off. Other than university another main reason I've never been to the Monaco gp is because Pierre didn't want me going as he thought I was too young to be involved in all the parties seeing as I haven't long turned 21. As much as it was annoying at the time having heard stories about all the parties I understand his reasoning and honestly I agree that I probably wouldn't have coped well but this year I have really learned to handle myself and am not afraid to stand up to people which I think is why a Pierre is happy for me to go.
Since Monaco is just after Barcelona Pierre told me he was going to fly to Nice and then go on to Monaco and seeing as I live not too far he asked if I wanted to meet him and go together which is exactly what we did. We then spent a few days together in Monaco and then went to Cannes together which was so nice as we barely get to spend time together despite being super close as children and still being very close now. The biggest problem is that neither of us have time anymore as he's always away racing and I have been in university and have now got a job which is quite demanding but I always wish we could see more of each other so to get to be together for a few days was great. Over our few days in Monaco we have spent a lot of time on the water on a boat whether it be just us or with Charles and other friends and the rest of my time has been spent exploring by myself as I have only been to very specific parts of the country.
As much as the past few days have been fun now that it's Friday I'm even more excited as today is the start of track action which is always my favourite part of going to race weekends no matter how exciting the parties and everything seem I still have a passion for racing even if I don't race myself. Having grown up with racing being a big part of family life it is just part of my blood and although the thought of getting in a car myself is terrifying I will never get over the adrenaline rush of watching others race. My love of racing has also made me get into other forms of motorsport too like f2 and f3 as well as motogp, it also helps that Pierre is friends with loads of people so we have watched many races in those disciplines together.
I got to the track early as over time I have learnt it is best to try and arrive before the rush of people trying to get in and before there is loads of media about. Arriving early also means that I have time to talk with friends before I go to watch from the garage so I texted Charlotte to find out where she was but as soon as I did she walked over and brought me to the Ferrari hospitality with her so we could catch up. The two of us have been friends for a few years now but we don't get to see each other in person that often so whenever we do we like to spend some time catching up on life. Charlotte is great but every time I see her she tries to set me up with someone and most of the time I don't let her do it as the one time I did the date was awful. However today she has been going on and on about one of Pierre's friends she knows is coming to the race and telling me how we would be perfect for each other despite knowing Pierre would never let me date one of his friends. Just to shut her up I promised I would at least try and talk to the guy as there is no harm in getting to know someone plus that way it doesn't have to go anywhere if I don't want it to.
Before long practice was due to start and so I ran off to the Alpha Tauri garage to make sure I could wish Pierre good luck before the session as its something we have always done since we were kids whenever I'm at his races. Just as I made it to the garage Pierre was putting his helmet on but he stopped when he noticed me and we did our usual routine where I wish him luck and we did our handshake we have had since I was little before he actually put his helmet on and got ready to get in the car. Practice still hadn't officially started when I saw someone walk past me and wish Pierre luck before coming to sit next to me on the seats in the back corner of the garage. Only when he sat down did I get a look at the guys face and I almost choked on the water  I was drinking he was that attractive but I got myself together and swallowed my water while looking out the side of my eyes to study the guys face a little more. After a few seconds it hit me that this was the friend Charlotte was on about and it all made sense as to why she thought I'd like him because he really is my type.
Nerves bubbled up inside me as I wanted to talk to the guy and find out more about him but at the same time I was scared I was going to make a fool out of myself as I have been known to say silly things when talking to guys I like. I have also on many occasions managed to lose my voice or have my voice break when talking to attractive guys because my brain just forgets how to function for whatever reason and makes me look like an idiot. It is this exact reason that I don't have a boyfriend as every first date I go on I make a fool of myself and then never see the guy again. Thats when the more sensible part of my brain kicked in telling me that one this guy might not even like me the way I like him and two Pierre would never let anything happen so there was no need to be nervous about talking to him. Eventually I worked up the courage to introduce myself at the very least after Pierre went out for practice.
"Hey I'm y/n its nice to meet you" I said and immediately regretted it as it sounded so formal and not at all like me
"Hey I'm Fabio you must be Pierre's sister he's told me so much about you" he said
"Oh gosh I hate to think what he's said" I Joked
"Don't worry it was all good things" he smiled
After the initial introduction we settled into a conversation and started to talk about our lives which meant he asked me about my work and university and I found out that he is a motogp rider which made me have a lightbulb moment. I knew that I kind of recognised him and that the name sounded familiar but when he said that it all came flooding back and I remembered watching him in a few races when I get chance to watch motogp. Seeing as I've always been into motorsport it was really interesting to hear him talk about what riding is like as it is quite different to f1. We quickly moved on from work talk and just got to know more about each other and it turns out that we have quite a lot in common like we have some similar hobbies and the same taste in music which was great as we shared our playlists with each other so that we both had some new songs to listen to.
Talking with Fabio was so great that I barely noticed what was going on in practice and whenever Pierre came back in I only noticed if he came over to talk to us or a mechanic stood near by. Fabio was also super funny and constantly making me laugh to the point that my cheeks were hurting from smiling and laughing so much in fact I think it's the most fun I've had in a long time. Soon enough though practice was over though and Pierre came back so we both talked with him for a few minutes congratulating him on how well he did in practice before he had to go and talk to the mechanics. Since he was going to be busy for a while I planned to spend the break somewhere else and to start with I was about to just go by myself but then I realised I could bring Fabio with me so I asked if he wanted to join me and he was happy to.
Being a somewhat regular in the paddock I know exactly what it was like and how busy it can get so I knew it was best for Fabio and I to find somewhere quiet quickly or else we won't be able to move with the amount of people and I imagine he will be stopped by some reporters. So without thinking I grabbed Fabio's hand like I would do with anyone when its crowded and led him through all the people and to the Alpha Tauri hospitality as its usually quiet in there if you find the right place. It was only when we got inside that I realised I was holding Fabio's hand without asking him if it was ok first and I started to get anxious and I felt my cheeks heating up with embarrassment. Straight away I let go of his hand and just went upstairs with him following me until we found a place to sit that was out of the way which was when we both sat down opposite each other. I was a little awkward to start with because of the whole hand holding thing but with Fabio being so chill I quickly went back to being relaxed and conversation just flowed between us.
Once the break between sessions was over Fabio and I went to the little balcony to watch which was so much better than the garage as you could see so much more of the track and Monaco in general which was so cool. We continued to get to know each other for the entire session and even afterwards when the interviews were going ahead and honestly after talking for so long I really felt like I knew him quite well. Or at least I thought I did but as we were walking so that I could meet Pierre I did not expect him to stop me in the middle of the paddock to ask me something.
"Y/n I have to ask you something" he said
"Go ahead what is it?" I questioned
"Of course you don't have to but would you like to go out to dinner with me tonight just as friends?" He asked
"Of course that sounds great" I replied
As much as it kind of hurt to be going out as just friends because my initial attraction to Fabio had only grown into an actual crush I was glad that we could at least be friends and enjoy some time together not having to shout to communicate. I was also super nervous about it as I don't often go out with anyone let alone someone I have a slight crush on but at the same time I'm really excited to go and just have some fun and relax with someone I get on with who isn't a family member.
~~~~~~~~~~
Straight away I headed back to the hotel with Pierre telling him I was going out but not who I was going with as I'm not ready for him to get mad at me or lecture me about how I shouldn't date any drivers or in this case riders because he knows what they are like just yet. He seemed slightly suspicious when I told him I was just meeting a friend but he dropped it when I said that we had caught up today during the break as he seemed to believe that which was great. We talked a little bit more about practice for the rest of our journey but I wasn't really listening as I was texting Fabio after he sent me a few pictures we took together today which I saved to keep them as memories. Part of me felt bad that I was lying to Pierre and doing things behind his back as we always like to tell each other everything but I know he's only going to get mad at me or it will ruin his friendship with Fabio and while we are just friends I think its for the best to not tell him.
Finally we made it back to the hotel and I said goodbye before running off to my hotel room to start getting ready as it was just over an hour until I was meeting Fabio. First off I headed into the shower to wash my hair and shave as I hadn't thought about needing to look my best until I met Fabio and my brain decided I needed to look nice to impress him. After getting out the shower I took some pictures of outfit options and text them to Charlotte and got her to choose which one I should wear while also avoiding as many questions as possible and only telling her I was going out with a friend. The outfit she picked was a casual floral dress in a light blue colour that wasn't too form fitting but showed off just the right amount which luckily is what I wanted to wear as it isn't too formal but I think it will look good on. After I got dressed I touched up the makeup I already had on to make sure it covered what I wanted it to and added a bit of eyeshadow to spice things up a little bit.
By the time I was ready it was about 5 minutes until I was supposed to meet Fabio so I grabbed my shoes putting them on before grabbing the rest of my things and heading to the lobby. Usually I would use the lift but it can be so slow at time so this time I headed straight to the stairs  and made my way down to the lobby which is when my nerves started to creep in just a little bit. There was no need for me to be so nervous as it is just dinner with a friend but I can't help but be a little nervous seeing as I wish it would be more. I know I shouldn't be thinking like that but I can't help it Fabio just happens to be the only guy I've ever felt this much attraction to in such a short amount of time and I would love to see where that could go but I have to accept that he just wants to be friends.
I just about managed to get myself together by the time I found Fabio and the second I did he pulled me into a hug which made any slight nerves still coursing through me dissipate in a second. Together we left the hotel and walked for a few minutes down the street until we reached a little restaurant that luckily didn't seem too fancy like everything else in Monaco and wasn't too busy which was great as it meant we could chat properly. Fabio opened the door to the restaurant for me and then pulled out my chair once we got to our table before I could even get the chance. We both sat down and a waiter came over to take our orders almost right away which was great as it meant we didn't have anyone coming over to us in the middle of our conversation.
Just like earlier in the day the conversation flowed very naturally and we continued to get to know each other but on more of a deeper level this time. We both shared some more details about our lives like memories from childhood or other things that have shaped us to be the way we are now. I loved hearing his stories about how he started racing and how he moved to Spain at such a young age just to have a chance at his dream, it made me remember the times like that with Pierre when I was made to travel to all sorts of countries so that he could work towards where he is now. We also shared pictures with each other from when we were little although his were much more interesting than mine as he was actually racing and I was just there watching however I do have a few pictures of me karting which made Fabio laugh as they were all me crashing or Pierre being much better than me.
At some point the conversation switched and we ended up talking about our past relationships and also flirting with each other a little bit which is not where I expected this to go. In fact I'm not really sure how we ended up flirting but we did and I'm definitely not complaining although my attempt at flirting was definitely not as good as Fabio's but he didn't seem to care. Innocent compliments also quickly turned into proper flirting which had me blushing like crazy which only made Fabio flirt more to see how red I would go to which the answer was very. Our flirting only ramped up the longer we were at the restaurant until eventually we decided to leave but not before Fabio paid even though I tried to make him split the bill with me he insisted that he pay as he asked me to go. After paying we left the restaurant to walk back to the hotel and as soon as we left the restaurant Fabio gave me a look before grabbing my hand to which I smiled and just continued to walk trying to pretend that I wasn't freaking out on the inside even though I absolutely was.
"I know this was supposed to be us going out as just friends but clearly its taken a turn so would you be ok with calling it a real date?" Fabio asked
"I'm more than ok with that" I said smiling
"I actually wanted this to be a date from the start but I was nervous you wouldn't want that so I held back but its just impossible not to flirt with you" he admitted
"Well you'll be glad to know I was kind of wishing this would end up as a date" I said
"But we can't tell Pierre at least not yet as he will kill me because he doesn't like the idea of me dating and one in the motorsport world" I added
"I'm sure he wouldn't kill you he's more likely to kill me but we can keep it quiet if thats what you want love" he said
We joked about how Pierre would react for the rest of the way back to the hotel which was funny but it really was playing through the back of my mind as I know how he has reacted before to other guys I've dated and he has hated every single one of them and if it hasn't already not worked out he has chased them away. I really don't want that to happen this time which is why I want to be careful and keep this a secret for a bit so that when I do tell Pierre he might not be so mad. Those thoughts went away when we got back to the hotel though as Fabio walked me up to my room and before leaving hugged me and kissed my cheek which is then all I could think about for the rest of the night.
Part 2 will be up in the next few days
That Arthur fluff was wonderful and absolutely perfect, thank you so much! Sometime even the best lucky charm just doesn't work out. And The ending was really cute haha! Let's hope for a better weekend in Silverstone! Are you gonna be watching the race? What are the main drivers your rooting for, especially in f2? :)
-✨
thank you sweetheart!!! you’re so cute, i’m glad you liked it 🫶🫶🫶 yes, let’s hope for good races this weekend! unfortunately i’m going on a boat trip tomorrow with my cousin so i’ll miss pretty much everything tomorrow… and on sunday, we’re doing something else, but thankfully it’s about 11-15 so i might actually not miss anything lmao! and on saturday i’ll be free to sit by the tv all day 😚
i think that this weekend i’ll be rooting mainly for ollie !! i think he deserves to win his home race. i hope he gets some good qualifying laps in and that prema’s strategy is good, he was so unlucky last weekend and still got points from working hard so i think that if tomorrow goes well then he can go far!! 🥰 other than him i’m rooting for arthur, he deserves a good weekend too, and it would also be nice to see vesti gain some points for the championship. and i’ve been in a very clement mood these last few days (plus his interview on the f2 website 🥺) so i would love to see him get some points too!!
what about you? are you going to be watching? who are you rooting for? <3
I’m not sure if you have already answers this one? But I would like to hear about the fuck boy Lewis Age gap au please???
Thanks <3
I have right here! But lucky for you anon I fuckin’ love this au so I’m just taking it as an excuse to post more snippets
He knows he’s peacocking, showing off in a way that has certain people grinding their teeth, but it’s the last race of the year and he’d taken this championship home already a month ago. He thinks if ever, he’s allowed to show boat now, after proving again to everyone he didn’t intend to lift and coast as soon as the title was collected. Still I rise, he repeats mentally, and now he’s got the tattoo and wins to prove it. Once he’s had his moment he sets his sights on Sebastian, chasing the German with a spray of his own champagne and catching him in the ear before he takes a swig of it. He sees the Ferrari driver roll his eyes at him in his periphery, probably already ready to take a break from all this till Australia next year. He grins teasingly back at him, barely flinching when Seb just shakes his bottle again and aims for his face.
———
They’d been knocking back scotch far too fancy for the speed they were drinking it, celebrating another win at Silverstone on the back patio of the Wolff household. It was dark out but the air was warm enough to be outside, Toto, Val and himself clustered round a table with a flickering candle on it trying to ward off midges. They’d been trying to keep as quiet as they could, knowing the wrath they’d face if the noise woke the 3 month old Jack, but that didn’t stop Toto giggling drunkenly as he told Lewis and a sleepy looking Valtteri about the joys of fatherhood. He’d just poured another round for them all when his phone lit up. Toto had glanced at it and snorted, leaning over the table to show his drivers a photo George had posted, smiling goofily on the podium after his own win that morning.
———
“Wait, Williams? Celebrating your new drive early then?” He teases, pointing to the drink.
“Why not? They didn’t have any F2 drinks and technically this one’s mine… questionable as it may be”’
“Are you talking about the drink or the seat?” George snorts at his teasing comment, moving to put his drink on the side table next to Lewis’. Then George steps back in front of him and levels Lewis with a look he can’t quite make out in the low light.
“The drink. Williams isn’t a bad seat… but I could think of better ones”’
He barely has a second to process, going to ask George what he means, but the words die on his tongue as George moves forward, quick as lightning to sit in his lap. Unsurprisingly, he moves as smooth as he dances, sliding to straddle Lewis’ thighs and rest his weight there before Lewis can stop him. He does manage to prevent him from getting too close, hands flying back up to his slim hips again to hold George still before he can get an unwelcome introduction to Lewis’ increasingly interested erection.
highlights from the Sector 1 podcast with Callum 🥰
Tumblr media
(on media training to help on his difficulty with words) “There’s a lot of stuff going on in my head and I can’t always say what I want to say and I can’t put it out.”
“[Motorsport] is a weird, lonely life where you’re maturing at a very high rate and not really spending your childhood as you should.”
(about last year’s F2 season) “Maybe someone saves money, but it wasn’t the drivers.”
(about F1) “Sore subject, yeah.”
(about e-scooter racing) “Well that’s two wheels, it doesn’t count. I’d give it go but I’d end up in the hospital, I think.”
“There’s still a lot of things I want to prove and feel like I haven’t proved on my own and I still - it sounds a bit selfish - but I still want to be part of the spotlight.”
those are some of the best quotes, and i’ll put the rest under the cut:
cites Lewis (general career/karted at the same track), Ayrton (speed and presence) and Michael (total dominance) as his racing heroes
motorsport is not his end goal, he’d love to try other things at some point; wants to go into business, also loves animals and would be passionate about working with them; if money were no object he would go and live on a farm
Callum is dyslexic and struggled with languages and history but was good with numbers in school
cites Anthoine as the teammate who taught him and pushed him the most in motorsport, as Guanyu as the most fun teammate
struggled with his mental health in his late teens when he was no longer winning, says the worst part of motorsport is always having to achieve
cites Lando and Nicklas Nielsen as his biggest “rivals” coming up through the junior categories
preparation for the Indy season has involved a lot of iRacing to learn the tracks. normally he gets to be on the simulator and test setups and tyres but with no sim access the best he can do is learn the tracks
likes to “really kick himself for a bit” after a bad result; goes through the phases of kicking himself, then problem solving about what needs to be improved, then moves on, but he stays negative until he gets back into the car
has started studying to get his boat license, cause he likes boats, goal is to sail and own a boat in a couple of years
is excited for the Indy 500 and for working with a new team in a new series; he says its more exciting to motivate / influence / build trust with / be one with the team and work to get the most out of them and achieve great things than it is showing up in a team and “just driving” (being close with the team would have been his approach had he made it into F1)
wants to get at least one pole this season, just wants to do as well as possible in the races, especially in the ovals
is interested in trying rallying and the LMP2 cars
it was important to him that he move into whatever his next racing series was as a professional (paid) driver. Indy was the right choice because he wanted to have an engineer’s full attention and he wanted to be able to give his everything and have the team benefit from everything he can bring to the table, which he felt he wasn’t able to do in GTs.
he’s no longer actively pursuing F1; he would need to have a financial package to even start a conversation and he’s not in a position to have that right now.
he is contracted long term with Ferrari
alcoholic drink of choice = Aperol Spritz (summer) or an old fashioned, though he normally gets handed a vodka red bull
he’s allergic to cats and horses
Callum’s music recommendations: song = Young Forever by Jay Z & Mr Hudson, rap artist = NF, soppy stuff = Dermot Kennedy
he doesn’t feel the need to broadcast everything on social media, and was brought up preferring to do things offline and in person
What makes a Future World Champion?
An analysis into Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen
I recently got an ask regarding about what makes a “future world champion” and honestly this phrase is thrown around a lot by F1 media in regards to the younger generation of drivers. Does it hold any substance, it’s hard to tell - we’ve had a lot of really talented younger drivers on the grid for the last few years and I honestly think that for most of them (if things fall their way) they could be World Champions at some point.
This question though is in specific regards to the extra special drivers, the ones who would go on to win multiple World Championships, can you really tell at this point and what characteristics do they have that set them apart from so early on in their F1 career.
In the original ask it was Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc who were mentioned as potential multiple time Championship winners, personally I’d usually include George Russell in this group, but until we get some clear evidence of what he can do in a decently competitive car I’m going to focus on Max and Charles.
This is going to be really long so I’m warning you here
Usually one of the first things people look at when touting which drivers to be future talents is their junior racing career, through karting and into single seaters. Max didn’t have a typical single seater career, only contesting one year in 2014 where he finished 3rd in the Florida Winter Series and in FIA European Formula 3 Championship (where he was beaten by Fuoco and Latifi in FWS and Ocon and Blomqvist in European F3.) He also competed in the Macau Grand Prix that year finishing 7th and he won the Zandvoort Masters. After that it was deemed that he was ready for F1.
There’s more to talk about with Charles’ junior career; he came 2nd in the 2014 Formula Renault 2.0 Alps (behind Nyck De Vries and ahead of George Russell in 4th,) came 4th in the 2015 FIA European F3 (which was won by Felix Rosenqvist, but Charles won the rookie championship), and came 2nd in that years Macau GP (again behind Rosenqvist) before winning the 2016 GP3 championship and the 2017 F2 Championship. In all of his junior career Charles never finished a championship outside of the top 4 (oftentimes winning or being second.)
Success in the junior series, isn’t always the best benchmark for success in F1 but both of the junior programmes that they belonged to thought that they were ready for F1 in 2015 and 2018 respectively.
So Max joined Toro Rosso for the 2015 season partnered alongside fellow rookie Carlos Sainz, he finished the championship that year 12th with 10 points finishes and 49 points, to Carlos’ 18 points and a 15th place in the drivers. Most notably Max achieved two fourth place finishes that year, one in Hungary and one in COTA, both pretty challenging tracks.
Charles debuted in 2018 alongside Marcus Ericsson at Sauber, he also outscored his teammate in his debut season (except this time his teammate was an experienced driver.) He finished the championship in 13th also with 10 points finishes totaling 39 points, whilst Marcus was in 17th with just 9 points.
Both Max and Charles’ rookie performances obviously rocked the boat at the parent teams as they were both moved up into the main teams during their second season (Charles for the start and Max a few races in.)
This was definitely when they both got to shine even more so, both achieving at least one win as well as many podiums and they both showed that they could perform under pressure.
However what stands out most to me as to why they are likely to win multiple world championships is their ability to adapt their driving style to suit the car, you see it in drivers like Lewis and Fernando where they are able to adapt how they do things to suit the car and be able to push the car to its absolute limits.
You saw it with Max in Spain in 2016, his first time in the Red Bull, he got in the car and he won the race, yes he was helped by the Mercedes taking each other out but even still P3 in a car you haven’t driven properly, before is impressive and how he kept the Ferrari’s behind him was astonishing. He definitely developed a certain name for himself over the years as an aggressive driver, getting into a fair few avoidable incidents.
I don’t think Charles’ best year is 2019 with his wins and poles I think it was 2020 as I really think that having that dodgy Ferrari really helped him to grow as a driver and become stronger, yes he had some stupid crashes because he was driving on the limit but they were important to let him figure out the limit of the car and he still managed to pull some incredible results out of it.
So what makes a future multiple time World Champion; a few things, a decent junior career, an impressive rookie year, something that sets you apart (Max’s driving style, Charles’ qualifying laps), and most of all adaptability.
Frozen II/RBTI discussion (1/2)
I’ve been encouraged by the recent likes on my Elsa/Ralph+Vanellope parallels post to finally finish this post which I started more than half a year ago. @super-mam-te-moc contributed ideas and encouragement for this post, thanks dear!
I can’t help but notice the parallels between Frozen 2 and Ralph Breaks The Internet (RBTI, also known as Wreck-it Ralph 2). These are both sequels to fantastic movies where the first installment established an incredibly strong bond between the two main characters (Elsa/Anna; Ralph/Vanellope), but by the end of the sequel, the two main characters are separated.
This first part will discuss the parallels between the movies.
The parallels
1. Fun times at the movie’s introduction
As the movie starts, we see the pair having fun and enjoying each other’s company. Ralph and Vanellope drink root beer at Tapper’s, race in Tron and spend hours talking with each other. Elsa and Anna have fun at the harvest festival and enjoy a game of charades.
2. Ralph/Anna don’t want things to change
From their very first scene, Ralph and Anna express that life is perfect and that they don’t want things to change. (Ralph more strongly so than Anna)
Anna: I dont worry [that nothing is permanent] because... well I have you and Elsa, and Kristoff, and Sven and the gates are open wide and...and I'm not alone anymore... // I’m holding on tight to you...
 Ralph: Why would I wonder if there's more to life when the life I got is perfect? ...  I wouldn't change a thing.
3. Early signs of Elsa/Vanellope feeling unsettled where they are
Also early on in the movie, Elsa and Vanellope express that they feel unsettled where they are. (Vanellope much more so than Elsa) Vanellope is outright bored, Elsa feels a pull but is unsure and afraid.
Vanellope: doesn't the very nature of our existence make you wonder...if there's more to life than this? ... // A new racing game would've been cool. ... // every bonus level's been unlocked [in Sugar Rush]. I know every shortcut. Man, I'd kill for even just a new track.
Elsa: ♪ I'm not sure I want things to change at all ♪ ...// ♪ Who knows deep down I'm not where I meant to be? ♪♪ Every day's a little harder as I feel my power grow ♪♪ Don't you know there's part of me that longs to go ... ♪
4. Big event happens!!
A big event occurs in each movie; in RBTI, Ralph’s actions lead to the steering wheel being broken and Mr Litwak (the arcade owner) pulling the plug on Sugar Rush. In F2, Elsa awakens the spirits and there are huge disturbances within Arendelle (the wind, the earthquake) driving the people out and preventing them from returning.
In both, there are irreversible consequences - the candy characters and racers of Sugar Rush are displaced, similar to the Arendellians. There are well-animated sequences of the massive exodus. And, since Vanellope is the “princess-ruler” of Sugar Rush, she is responsible for the well-being of all her subjects, just like Elsa is the Queen of Arendelle.
And of course, the big event forces the pair to go on a journey, to a new world.
5. Ralph/Anna start to display insecurity over Vanellope/Elsa
Again, Ralph does this much more than Anna; Ralph’s insecurity is, after all, the subject of the movie’s big climax and the title of the movie (his insecure “clones” break the internet) He starts by asking Tapper incessantly every 30 seconds whether he’s seen Vanellope.
Ralph: she said...being friends with me wasn't enough for her. Not enough? I'm a great friend! Right, Tapper? Right?
Anna: You've been hearing a voice and you didn't think to tell me? ...  // You are not going alone. ... // I won't let anything happen to her.
6. The journey starts
Elsa and Vanellope are shown to be enjoying the new world (the forest, for Elsa and Slaughter Race, for Vanellope)
Elsa: This forest is beautiful.
Vanellope (talking about Slaughter Race): I know. It was so exciting!
Whereas, Ralph and Anna are preoccupied with not getting separated, and worrying over Vanellope/Elsa.
Anna: Where’s Elsa? I swore that I wouldn't leave her side.
Ralph: Hey, wait for me! Kid, come back! Wait! Hey! Don't leave without me! ...  No, no, no. Me and the kid are like shoes and socks. Or peanut butter and bacon. One cannot exist without the other.
7. The third party (the Voice/Shank)
The third party isn’t introduced at the same time for both movies. In F2, the Voice is heard very early in the movie, when Elsa is standing at the balcony. In RBTI, Shank (Gal Gadot’s badass character) is only introduced in Slaughter Race, about 1/3 into the movie.
The third party is attractive to Elsa and Vanellope. (This is the point where I expect Elsamaren shippers to tell me that the third party is Honeymaren, which I’m totally cool with)
Ralph and Anna are aware of the third party and respond to it, albeit slightly differently. Ralph openly dislikes Shank; Anna can’t understand it, but respects that Elsa is hearing a voice.
Ralph: Oh, come on. I don't trust that Shank one bit.
8. Inevitably, conflict happens between R/V and E/A
As the journey progresses, Elsa and Vanellope are shown to have changing priorities and they don’t seem to mind the dangers of the new world. Ralph and Anna just want to protect their counterparts and appear chagrined that they (E/V) are so attracted to the “wrong” things (by their definition). Ralph openly says that he thinks V has been brainwashed. This clash leads to misunderstanding and conflict.
Here’s Ralph and Vanellope disagreeing over Slaughter Race and Shank:
Ralph: Man, oh, man, that place was scary. Vanellope: I know. It was so exciting!
R: No, exciting is when you smile. Scary is when you clench your butt, and my butt is still clenched.
V: Oh, come on, are you honestly telling me... that Shank lady wasn't the coolest person you ever met? Ralph: Cool? Name one cool thing about her.
V: Um, let's see, she looks cool, she talks cool...she drives cool, her hair is cool, her car is cool... Ralph: Wait a minute, are you saying my hair isn't cool?
In F2: Elsa tames Bruni and for a moment becomes mesmerised by the Voice and starts walking after Bruni (almost as if she’s forgotten that she came here with Anna and the gang), leading to the first heated exchange: “You don't want me to follow you into fire, then don't run into fire. You're not being careful Elsa.” Elsa also encounters the Earth Giant and again is mesmerised and starts following the giant, leading to another heated exchange: “Please tell me, you were not about to follow them!”
9. The big “betrayal”
In RBTI, Ralph realises that Vanellope has gone to Slaughter Race by herself and is talking to Shank behind his back (through the convenient plot device, “Buzzzface”, a video chat app) and he cannot deal with it. He feels betrayed and abandoned and fails to hear the wise words that Shank is dishing out. This leads him to formulate the plan of infecting Slaughter Race with a computer virus.
In F2, Anna gets pushed away by Elsa in the ice boat/sled outside the shipwreck. Anna is angry and feels that Elsa has broken her promise to “do this together”. I must confess, even as an F2 lover, I really didn’t like Elsa’s actions in this scene. Poor, poor, poor, poor Anna!! I have an idea for re-writing this scene to achieve the same final outcome with better treatment of Anna and more “realistic” behavior from the sisters, let’s see if I have the drive to complete it. (your encouragement would be helpful!)
Thanks for reading part 1!
why are your fav drivers your fav drivers? just feel free to say anything about them and make this as long as you want to :)
okay first hurdle with this is making me pick,, because????? I love all of them???????
Ofc number one. My pretty boy. Lewis fucking Hamilton. I refuse to believe that you have ever seen a man so beautiful. Because frankly I don’t think it’s possible. But this guy. He’s why I like f1.
I think I’ve told this story before but, when I was a kid I picked my favourite drivers based on the three letters their name made on the live timings, particularly ones that made words so HAM, BUT(T), VET etc. and it’s not my fault that they also ended up being the best drivers ever.
Oh f2 tangent: first race I saw, actually f3 probably and there’s like a million drivers in that but I kept my eye on the timings to see if any names stood out and there’s an ARM? Which I think is funny so I followed him for that race. And no joke he made it up from like genuinely the back of the grid up to top ten and that just. Through me. So I said “okay this kid u are my new favourite I will plant this seed and watch it grow” and then that ended up being marcus Armstrong and y’all know how ridiculous he is so YEAH. My instincts in picking stupid drivers >>>>>>>
But yeah, I stuck with Lewis and jense because I’m British and mcalren tooned was my favourite cartoon growing up what can you expect.
I grew up with Vettel’s supremacy playing in the background and I fell in love with f1 after the chaos that was 2016 and watching seb and Lewis’s fights. The ones that had you at then edge of your seat, genuinely not knowing who would win. And I have to say because of course I do, turkey last year hit me so hard because those last few laps were *exactly the same* and I miss it so much. And I love how they can be so bitchy to each other on track but there’s still so much respect off of it, they genuinely want each other to do well and that’s just. Its so good.
Okay so. Lewis. Because he’s just. He’s so not f1, and I mean that in the nicest way possible because!!! guess what!!!!! He is f1!!!!! He’s the most successful driver ever, everyone knows his name. You say f1 and people think of Lewis hamilton. And that’s the best thing ever because he’s what f1 should be! F1 has the exact opposite morals to him but he’s doing so well in changing that. Just. The respect I have for that guy.
And then I genuinely can’t pick a second driver, okay no wait it’s seb. I can’t pick a third driver, I think the rest of the grid are all crammed into my top 10.
Of course there’s Lando. Who I followed purely because of his stupid name, and all the stars aligned with this guy. He’s such a piece of shit, he’s stupid, and he’s silly and he’s mean and I love him so much because like. When I see this guy it’s just that ‘omg same hat’ meme. Because yeah. I’m also all of these things. I’m snarky and bitey and I say something as a joke but it comes off as serious. And he chews on his necklace okay I just I fucking dfghhjjh I’m NOT writing a Lando essay because then I will cry but. This guy has seriously helped me overcome a lot of personal issues I’ve had. Like it’s only been two years but my self love has 📈📈📈 which is why no matter how stupid and ridiculous he gets, I don’t think I could ever lose him. I mean, I fuxking hate the guy. but (affectionately)
And there’s lance. Who’s kind of in the same boat I guess. He’s quiet and shy and sarcastic and funny as fuck and confident in himself and his abilities. And maybe it’s a ‘Lando is who I’m probably going to be, Lance is who I want to be’ thing. But. Idk they’re my boys and I love them.
Daniels a fucking idiot. I say that with my whole heart. I absolutely hate this man. Pretty boy (derogatory).
I guess he’s the first driver that I got to like off of the track, (thank you red bull for on the sofa, literally the only good thing you’ve ever done) with Lewis and seb I fell in love with their driving. With Daniel I guess it was his personality that caught my eye. Surprise surprise, it’s always the same when it comes to him huh. But he’s a phenomenal driver, and I can’t help but wonder where he would be if he didn’t come to f1 during sebs rein, and then Lewis’ rein. Tough look kid but that’s how the cookie crumbles.
And he’s like, so good at the whole mental health awareness, advocating for basic human rights thing. So.
And I could ramble on about the whole grid but I have to stop myself. I do have some self restraint, crazy I know
F2 FEATURE RACE SUMMARY 🏁🏁 - Pole-sitter Callum Ilott got a perfect getaway, retaining the lead whilst Dan Ticktum and Mick Schumacher both made great starts and made it up to 2nd and 3rd, respectively. - At the start of Lap 2, Williams Academy Driver Roy Nissany braked too late and decided to use the car of Trident team-mate Marino Sato as his braking system. This didn't work well, with Nissany breaking his suspension and Sato soon retiring. The Safety Car came out. - It came back in on Lap 4 and Luca Ghiotto soon passed Christian Lundgaard. The pair then collided, with Lundgaard feeling the Italian driver unfairly moved over on him. This caused a chain reaction, Lundgard's ART team-mate Marcus Armstrong clipped Artem Markelov, who smashed heavily into the wall. Markelov looked absolutely distraught, after exiting the car, as the SC came back out. - Ilott retained position ahead of Ticktum, after his stop. Armstrong retired in the pitlane, on Lap 11, with Lundgaard falling victim to gearbox failure shortly afterwards. - Schumacher jumped Ticktum in the stops, to take a net 2nd place. The British driver then fell down the order, with a car that felt like "between a boat and a rally car". On Lap 18, Schumacher passed Ilott to take the lead and began to pull away. - Shwartzman finally pitted from the lead with 10 laps remaining, emerging in a net 3rd place but instantly locking up, losing the place to Ghiotto. Then, his tyres warmed up and he passed Ilott and Ghiotto, moving up to 2nd. On Lap 31, he passed Schumacher for the lead. - The field then went overtaking-crazy, in typical F2 style, with a number of drivers charging and Ilott dropping back.
