Moldaver definitely fucked Lucy's mom, right? Like we are all the same page here. I mean Lucy's flashback was proof enough but the fact Lee kept her around all these years as a fully turned Ghoul... they were in love

okay so something that's bothering me after another rewatch of the fallout series is the fact that all the people in Vault 33 believe that no one has ever left the vault in all the time they've been down there and that's why its such a big deal that lucy leaves. but...it's pretty clearly stated in the finale that lucy's mom left and went to shady sands, and took norm and lucy with her, and that hank maclean went and got his kids back and nuked shady sands.
so...why the fuck do people in the vault, especially the older residents who were actually from 33 and not cryofrozen people from 31, not like...comment on that, and still believe no one has been outside? like what the hell was hank's explanation for the fact that his wife and kids went missing for a while, in a very contained survival bunker environment, then HE must have gone missing for a while (when he went to find them), and then he magically reappeared with his kids and no wife? and its also implied that current overseer betty was involved in this, so how the fuck did they explain all these people vanishing and reappearing when it wouldn't be possible unless a vault door was opened???? are the people of vault 33...stupid???
like literally did know one ever say to lucy "hey it was really weird that time you and your brother couldn't be found for like 4 months, what was up with that?"

This scene demonstrates why I love how Vault-Tec is written as an evil corporation. It's not the usual mustache-twirling, over-the-top villainy you see in other media. It's quiet, subtle, and very realistic, which only serves to make Vault-Tec that much more terrifying.
When Cooper finishes describing how Vault-Tec was responsible for the deaths of countless people, the executive here does two things: a) he makes their deaths about himself (ALL WHILE NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING THEM!), and b) he makes it about "Product Management."
It really emphasizes the theme that corporations like Vault-Tec and the suits who run them at Vault-Tec only care about the company and its products and NOT the people who use them (or are being used by them).

I really like how it feels like each character represents different player styles. Or specs.
Lucy feels like the player that just ~can't~ be mean to the npcs. Tries to talk down violent npcs. Maxed charisma.
Norm is the player who'd read all the computer entries and flavor text. Lore is really important to him. Perception and intelligence are maxed so he can hack and lockpick anything.
Max is a bit of a bro who thinks they want a BoS playthrough because military hoorah, but ends up really really liking a companion that dislikes half of your choices that align with the BoS. Would probably force close the game if he saw [Lucy disliked that.] To try again. Also maxed luck.
Coop clearly wants to be a badass that shoots first and asks questions later, but ends up being a lovable rouge who begrudgingly helps the npcs. Maxed agility.

“I hate the script, the vault dwellers sound so cheesy—“ my Brother in Steel you realize that’s the point, right? They were bred to act like the physical embodiment of an HR e-mail. Did you not catch the memo that Vault-Tec put out regarding their experiment facilities?
