Friends of Tumblr, I have been upon three dates in the last four days. And one pending tonight. We live two and a half hours apart by public transport, so there is nothing desultory about such frequent meetings. Nobody has ever been this keen to be in company with me. It's quite hard to believe.

In all respects besides this unprecedented keenness, this person is relaxed: calm, gentle, understanding, undemanding, easy to get along with. All the horrid dating advice I've ever read (I don't think the authors of dating advice are necessarily horrid people, but the genre itself is reliably gloom-inducing) seems like a cloud of vapour beside this mild, warm reality.
