I was wondering what drew you to this ship specifically? Like it's an amazing ship and my personal favorite, but I wanted to know if you had a special reason for loving it so much! :)

Oh! Interesting question and to be honest I'd have to pull up a 99+ slide because I love them so much- but to sorta squeeze in all my thoughts ><!

Interestingly enough, I didn't exactly ship anyone nor was I drawn to any of the pairs in Haikyu after watching Season 1 up to Season 4 Part 1 (second half with the Inarizaki match was not airing/ hadn't been announced yet even during this time). I acknowledged a lot that the ships existed like kagehina, iwaoi, etc but it was more of "yep I see them as a duo both romantically or platonically, and I'm okie with both or either" + liked fanart and bokuaka was given that same perspective from me before. They had a cute and funny dynamic but granted, I didn't perceive them to be a ship that I would make as my favorite and just casually acknowledge the ship's existence + appreciate the fanart.

However, that changed when I read the manga.

A good number of people loved and shipped bokuaka wholeheartedly from the start while some after reading the manga and I was one of the those people because WOW DID THE FUKURODANI VS. MUJINAZAKA CHANGE THE TRAJECTORY OF MY LIFE-

Much like some bokuaka shippers, this segment of the Nationals arc definitely either fueled their love for this dynamic or help them appreciate and be endeared even by this ship, most especially me.

On a more personal note, the one that really started it all, gave me a little push into loving them dearly when I was already at the tipping point was a certain piece of fanart.

Out of all the wholesome, genuinely lovely art I've seen, this has always been my favorite bokuaka art and the one that help started it all, made by the amazing @/pistachiolan <33.

Neither of them are speaking nor can you see the expression on their faces, but it's a beautiful summary of Bokuaka's dynamic.

And that's the thing, the reason why I was drawn so much to Bokuaka is because:

They're not childhood friends like Iwaizumi and Oikawa or Kenma and Kuroo.

They're not even in the same year level like Hinata and Kageyama or Ushiwaka and Tendou.

Yet, they have a bond that is built on so much trust, support and care for each other in such a short span of time. Almost like they've been there for each other for a lifetime.

It's not a one sided dynamic where one constantly gives and the other gets and doesn't return becase Akaashi gave Bokuto everything he needed so that his star could shine for the world to see (him and Fukurodani gave him the company Bokuto never particularly had) in the same sense that Bokuto didn't want to shine alone or be left in an empty galaxy, he wanted Akaashi to shine just as much whether they were or weren't teammates anymore and gave him words such as "giving 120%" and a generally more positive mindset that outbests any logic Akaashi could have put down ("It's not impossible, just very hard!"), that became something Akaashi carried with him and even became a driving force for his profession as Udai's manga editor.

And seeing them in the timeskip, those happy smiles Akaashi gives to Bokuto when he sees how brightly Bokuto shines on the court, the excitement Bokuto has when he sees Akaashi shining just as much in his own profession when he gets to talk to them after the Jackals Adlers match and how immediately he asks to spend time with him, their same silly odd language that no one can understand but them and how they've seemingly never changed.

To see that bond full of trust, support and care never once waver throughout the years, you can't help but ask: what isn't there to love about Bokuaka?

I’ve had this fic idea burning a hole in my brain for the last month and I think you’d appreciate it. (Disclaimer that this scenario is Yandere!Donnie while the rest of his brothers are not yandere.)

Donnie slams his head onto his desk in dismay, shoving the phone away.

Stupid, stupid stupid!

He knows that when he had first met Y/N at April’s school, he had been using his cloaking broach to disguise as a human, but he had been trying to confess the truth!

if only Y/N hadn’t been asked out by their crush, causing him to move up his plans.

He had tried to ambush them in turtle form at their apartment, but they had managed to wrench themselves free from his grasp and escape.

Not his finest moment.

And now, he had just received a text from them:

I’m really sorry I didn’t come to our meet up, Donnie. There was this horrible turtle mutant! It tried to grab me! I only just got away. What kind of monster would try to do that to someone anyways?! I hope I never see that thing again!

This was it. All of his plans- gone.

Y/N hated him.

They must belong to him. They may not like it, but he knows what’s good for them better than they do.

Unfortunately, them hating his true self was a problem that would be almost impossible to work around.

Donnie hears a knocking at his lab door.

“Go away!” He yells, irritated at the interruption.

With a flash of blue, Leo does the exact opposite, portaling into the room.

“You called for your favourite brother?” He sings.

“Leo, now is not the time, I’m dealing with some serious problems with what I’m working on!”

“Awww, poor genius.” Leo says, patting him on the shoulder only to be swatted away.

“I’m sure that whatever’s not working out the way you planned, you can fix it. You’re always making fixes for your other projects, so just work your Donatello magic for this one!” He reassures.

Donnie sits up in shock.

“That’s right! When things don’t work out the way I want, I make a fix! Why shouldn’t this be any different?!”

“I’m glad to see that my wise words have helped you once again!” Leo smirks.

“Yeah, yeah yeah, you’re so helpful. Now get out, I need to start working on this.”

”So bossy! As you insist, bro!” Leo falls backwards into another portal, vanishing with a flash of blue.

Under his breath, Donnie mutters,

"Babygirl, please let me in." Bucky begged, knocking on your bedroom door once again. The muffed sounds of your crying truly broke his heart. What hurt even more was knowing that he was the cause of them.

He knew he shouldn't have lost his temper on you. He shouldn't have taken his anger out on you. You had done nothing wrong. All you did was interrupt a meeting and he yelled at you infront of everyone. Why did he have to be such an asshole sometimes.

The look on your face when he yelled at you in the meeting room flashed through his mind. How scared and small you looked when you fled from the room. You were told it was an important meeting and you weren't supposed to interrupt unless there was an emergency. But you and Bucky had different defintions of the word emergency. He meant if you were in some form of danger or if you were hurt. But according to you, running out of chocolate milk seemed like a pretty big emergency too.

You didn't mean to disrupt his work though. You were gonna knock and patiently wait until Bucky was free to talk to you, but then one of his men told him you were at the door and he asked you to come in.

He knew that was no reason to yell at you, though he couldn't help it. The stress of work, and all the heated arguments during the meeting just got to him. He took his anger out on you without even meaning to, and now you were huddled up under a pile of blankets on your bed. He tried to open the door but it was locked. Bucky even threatened to break the door down if you didn't open it but that just made you cry harder and he quickly apologized.

"Please, petal, I just want to know whether or not you're okay. Please open the door for me." Bucky tried once again, ready to give up. However, to his surprise, you finally unlocked the door before going back to your little safe space under the blankets.

Bucky quickly made his way over to you and attempted to hug you but you wouldn't let him, "No, go 'way! I'm fine, see! Now you go!" You knew it was a bit harsh you didn't care. What he did was much worse.

"Daddy is very sorry, baby. Daddy hates seeing you cry like this, petal. I promise that won't ever happen again, will you please forgive me?" Bucky was practically begging for your forgiveness at this point, he knew he didn't deserve it but he also knew he couldn't lose you, "I promise I'll do whatever you want to make it up to you. I even got the chocolate milk my petal wanted. I can make it all nice for you in your favourite sippy, angel, what do you say?"

You shook your head, still upset that he would treat you that way infront of his colleagues and embarrass and scare you, "You were mean, daddy."

He sighed in response but nodded, "I know, baby, I know I was. And I'm very sorry for that, petal. Please forgive daddy, petal, I love you so much. It was just a very stressful day, and I know that's no excuse still so I'm very sorry. I just need some time with my petal now, please babygirl?"

- ⭐️ what is one of your biggest accomplishments? Why is it so important to you? Definitely overcoming my eating disorders. I struggled for a long time and after 8 years I'm finally free from this hell. It took a lot of work, dedication and sacrifices and I'm proud of myself for surviving and thriving today. It's important because someone close to me couldn't recover from it, to this day they're still suffering in the throes of an0rex1a like I used to be. We still call each other regularly and seeing me recover and have the life they could never have has made them feel a lot better. They will most likely never get better but at least they didn't see me fall victim to this horrible disease too. My recovery is bringing them the happiness they deserve. It's important for me and for them and in the end that's why this is my biggest accomplishment as it goes beyond my sole experience. I hope to one day share my story and help those beyond my circle of friends and family

honestly i used to have the worst confidence when i started working in customer service, i used to cry whenever someone was even slightly frustrated, but now when someone insults me on the phone, i have the power to hang up on them and i LOVE it <3 i think some customers do think "oh if i'm awful to them, they will cave and give me what i want" but actually when you are an angel to me, i will love you forever <333 i do the same, i always compliment them or tell them to have a nice day :) sending u good vibes !!

i kinda feel like that was exactly how txt were shown as </3 soobin & yeonjun are typically favoured more than the rest of the group while the other three—i feel—were ignored </3 it definitely feels a little bit different now but it used to be so obvious that gyu, taehyun and kai were not as popular :(
