I love tumblr. I love being able to talk to people with similar interests. I love sharing silly little images that might be relatable to others. I love reblogging 20 things relevant to my current special interests and everyone is just like ‘heck yeah!’. I love making a space that encompasses a specific aesthetic that other people can enjoy too. I love being able to make this corner of the internet whatever I want it to be.

It's official! I love the 2003 turtles SO MUCH! Like, just look at him! He got excited and jumped into this goofy pose and I love it so much! He looks so happy, and it's making me happy!!

Also I kind of just took a really low quality picture in the moment and then decided to try and see how close I could recreate it. So sorry this screenshot is so grainy. Someday I'll figure out how to take good screenshots without just taking a picture of my computer screen

the way all tumblr had to do was leave everything alone and instead they were apparently like "we want to participate in the how fast can you drive away your core userbase but implementing a bunch of unnecessary changes that make functionality actively worse race too!"

@staff genuine question: Are you trying to drive away your userbase? Genuinely, I am legitimately asking, are you? Because these changes feel actively hostile, and the "These Changes Are Really, For Real, Made To Improve Functionality For Everyone, And We Just KNOW Everyone Will LOVE Them If They Give Them A Chance!" explanation posts come off as laughably naïve at best, disgustingly disingenuous at worst.

Frankly, I'd rather you be honest and just admit, "We don't care about those of you who have made this site your home for the past decade+, we just want to see if we can ruin this site faster than Elon's destroying twitter."

look while I was on tumblr first and I have always much preferred putting art related shit on here, my twitter was essentially like linkedin for the games industry and it’s gonna suck that I’m suddenly gonna lose connections and visibility into my coworkers/colleagues stuff if this nosedive continues in the direction its headed

With the crazy weather in the States still happening in some parts of the country, I may not be able to get to sit down and write the kind of gushy New Year’s/I-am-so-thankful-for-joining-Tumblr-this-year post (including a quick hit list of the shows that socked me), so I’ll just say, for now, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of the AMAZING MUTUALS I’ve made this year! Amazingly, I have only been on Tumblr since JULY (CRAZYTOWN), but I have watched and gained so much by connecting with such an amazing community here, and I can’t wait to watch and grow with all of you more in 2023. Hopefully a year-in-review post sometime next week will still be relevant, fingers crossed.

Extremely special shout-out to the incredible @the-nihongo-adventure — I have loved each and every one of our conversations about drama, music, and Japanese language and culture. I can’t wait to learn more from you — you’re inspiring me to pick up a book and get going on learning Japanese. Akemashite omedetou gozaimazu!

Could I ask what brought you to Los Angeles area and how do you like it thus far?

I've always visited from the bay to go to concerts, halloween events, disneyland, etc and I always loved it here so I convinced my fiance to move us down here and try it out!

he still isn't sold on it sadly...

I hate going anywhere over the hill (I'm on the north side near like Studio City/Burbank/Glendale) but otherwise the food, people, things to do, etc is amazing! I love it tbh
