Playing around a little with my Nomu!Aizawa... scars based on when he gets snatched, hair down to his middle-back, extra extra scruff because of an even more diminished ability to care for himself, a faded mark on his ring finger...

If you thought Aizawa couldn’t get more tired surprise! As a Nomu in my AU his main purpose is Shiggy’s alarm system (I love the head canon that Shigaraki is an Aizawa fan because he’s the kind of selfless hero he wished saved him as a child, so in this AU he gets that wish aaa). It means that even when he does get to sleep his quirk will open an eye automatically anytime something makes a noise near Shigaraki. I also kind of wanted to go with Kurogiri’s naming mechanic and give him a Nomu name that translates, so Yabureme is how he’s known!

Seeing people frustrated and sad and even angry about the recent MHA chapter (regarding Shiggy) makes me SO HAPPY about one of my plot points in STIL, because it directly addresses the thing that people are understandably frustrated about with Shiggy.

#tbf I actually thought the reveal was fantastic #but I think that's because I always had a hunch that AFO fabricated it all #Like yeah of course he gave Shiggy Decay as his quirk #I had that hunch since it was revealed that he could give and take away quirks #and when it was revealed he'd been present in Shiggy's past #Which is why I am 1000% CONVINCED that he caused Dabi to spontaneously combust on Sekoto Peak #Because Touya had NOTHING but ABSOLUTE control of his quirk #It didn't and doesn't make sense to me that Touya just suddenly cried too hard and lost control of his quirk #and we also know that AFO can forcefully activate quirks #So IMO the Shiggy thing was actually fantastic #Because yeah who is Shiggy now? #Who is he and what are his goals when everything was supposed planned from the start? #I do think AFO is lying partially though #Because there was little meddling he could have done while he was trapped in Tartarus #And I don't think Shiggy's care toward the League was fabricated #Because he SPECIFICALLY sought out IZUKU'S advice on that #ANYWAY I'M RAMBLING IN MY TAGS I'M SO SORRY #air's antics

I'm gonna say it. The villains are overrated and overhyped. I've actually talked about this before too. They're just so boring to me? And bland? Literally the reason why I haven't finished season 5 yet is because they switched over to the villains arc and I was like. I'm not interested in this can we PLEASE go back to the kids and see what they're doing. And this was when season 5 was releasing so I STILL haven't watched anything past that lol

Also why is everyone so obsessed with Shigaraki he's just a crusty ass little twink who throws baby tantrums when he doesn't get his way. Get a better villain

Shigadabi - Makes sense, compels me. Simple and clean. Actually tied with dabitwice as my favorite canon dabi ship

Dabihawks - THIS ONE IS LESS CLEAR. On one hand, there are SO many thematic parallels between these characters and I like the idea of pairing Hawks with loud emotional borderline manic characters to contrast his near terrifying control, so on one hand I wanna say Makes Sense, Doesn't Compel Me. But on the other hand, HORI NEVER FUCKING DID ANYTHING WITH THOSE PARALLELS!!!!!!!!! IT LITERALLY HOLDS ZERO WEIGHT IN REGARDS TO THE CANON CHARACTERS AND THEIR INTERACTIONS!!!!!!!! IT BUILDS UP TO NOTHING!!!! So in that case, I have to say Doesn't Make Sense, Doesn't Compel Me.

Unfortunately it will always be Doesn't Compel Me cause I do not like Hawks as a character specifically in regards to the canon. Idk how Hori did it, but he literally created a character that is literally Cop Incarnate, down to his patchy-ass goatee, and it REPELS me. It's like I've literally already been a room with this man irl and I could feel the slime from proximity.

(It doesn't help that Hawks has a lot of potentially interesting parts to his character, but Hori never takes them further than that. He's literally ONLY Cop Incarnate. Which is why I think I CAN be persuaded to read him in fic form, because sometimes those traits are explored and given the appropriate amount of screen time!!! So then he's still Cop but at least gets to be interesting about it!!!!!)

(also the dabihawks/dabixhawksxreader fics I have read have been.....................................................................................we'll say juvenile, to be nice)
