big (18+, kinda explicit) thoughts of meeting Javi at a dark little sweaty bar and he buys you a drink and leans in close to hear you over the music. eventually he asks you to dance to some ancient salsa song your parents used to play and pulls you to the dance floor.
he'd wrap his massive hands around you, one tight on the curve of your hip and the other landing on the small of your back to pull you right up against him. he takes the lead, strong arms pushing and pulling your hips along with his. it's fun, playful at first, until you start to sweat, panting softly against each other, bodies melting together.
the song changes - "He llenado tu tiempo vacío de aventuras más.."
you're both so absorbed in the music and the intoxicating feeling of your bodies moving as one, pressed as close as possible, that you don't notice yourself singing along.
"y he mojado mis sabanas blancas recordándote.." a mumbled whisper into his cheek as he moves your body skillfully with his, a smile forming on his full lips. he slips his leg between your thighs to hoist you up and move you a bit better. having the wonderful side effect of pressure where you've been aching for it since he locked eyes with you at the bar.
"ay ven, devórame otra ves, ven, devórame otra ves" it now comes as a whimper, you're on another planet, his hands still gripping you tight, one moving lower on you hip, the other pressing your chest against his stronger, broader one.
you feel Javi shift, his mouth now up against your ear, "yeah baby?" a gentle kiss to your cheekbone to sweeten the dirty words he speaks over the music "¿quieres eso?¿quieres que te devore?" he pulls back to gauge your reaction but doesn't stop pulling your hips against his own and your heat against his thigh. the stiffness in those tight little jeans pushing hard into your tummy as you try to remind yourself that you're in a public place.
"shut up" you giggle attempting a playful slap to his chest but with his next shift against your core it ends up looking more like a desperate move to ground yourself as he continues to move.
the two of you smile like idiots, eyes glossy and faces flushed as Javi swiftly pulls your hand from behind his neck and twirls you around in front of him. he pulls you back to him so your ass is pressed right up against the obscenely hard tent in his jeans.
"ojos baby." he moves a hand to your chin and tilts your head up so you're looking right at the exit when you open your eyes. his hand trails down your neck and chest, softly tracing until it lands on your waist. he whispers in your ear, "my truck is right outside those doors. nice cushy backseat...what do you think baby?" he moves to your other ear and with one hand on your hip and the other wrapped around your middle, moves you against him, "devórame otra ves ay devórame otra ves"
later, when you're bare except for his leather jacket draped over your shoulders and the sticky sheen of his and your own sweat covering your body, you tell him he was right. the backseat is very comfy.
the song is Ven Devórame Otra Ves by Lalo Rodriguez, one of the best songs to dance to actually ever and very in tune with the trend of old salsa being casually horny asf.
ven devórame otra ves = come devour me again
he mojado mis sábanas blancas recordándote = I've soaked my white sheets remembering you
He llenado tu tiempo vacío de aventuras más = I've filled your spare time with many adventures
(little culture lesson! this kind of dancing is salsa pegado/pegadito/pegados. if you look it up it's very sensual and close, sometimes borders on dry humping to the beat!)

I’m curious… have you played Oblivion or Morrowind? If so, thoughts?
Yes! I've played both.
I've played more of Morrowind than Oblivion, but I do want to try to give Oblivion more of a chance. The graphics and goofy dialogue kind of put me off and I had a difficult time sinking into the story aspect. The gameplay was also a steeper learning curve than I expected, especially after I got trapped in the... haggling/disposition minigame that I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to navigate OR exit out of. (I ended up having to just force my PS3 to power down and do a hard restart). But so many of my friends in fandom speak highly of the big Oblivion questlines, as well as some particularly interesting side quests. So I'm down to give it another go. Especially since the fanfiction seems so compelling, and I feel left out of the fun.
Morrowind I absolutely loved. The graphics didn't bother me at all, and I think they actually added to the Horror elements that the game already had. I love how hostile the game is, both in setting and in gameplay. No quest markers, no fast travel. Unfriendly citizens, terrifying monsters, difficult combat mechanics. I was immediately sucked into the world and the story, and it lit my brain on fire in very much the same way Skyrim did.
I unfortunately didn't get the ability to finish the Morrowind MQ before our sad little shared PC went kablooey, but I've been saving up to buy myself a proper gaming laptop. Something powerful enough to run ESO, but let's be real, I'm going to use it to play Morrowind again.

“Who the fuck else is out here, Pope?”
“No one,” Santiago sweeps the clearing in a quick circle, butt of his gun still dug into his shoulder, “no one else is supposed to be out here.”
Things hadn’t gone sideways and he hadn’t called anyone in.
And yet the mark stares back at him through lifeless eyes the same color as the leaflitter he threatens to stain red.
“Well,” Frankie gestures vaguely where he’s knelt down next to the still-warm body. “This ain’t local.”
The high-caliber bullet that blew out the back of the man’s skull is most assuredly not Nicaraguan-made.
“We have to move, Fish,” Santi says before letting out a sharp whistle. A signal to the men holding the perimeter to circle up.
“Nah, if whoever did this wanted us dead…” He lets the words hang in humid jungle air, propping the brim of his cap up just far enough to swipe damp hair from his forehead. “The angle of it’s weird though,” Frankie cants big dark eyes up into the trees even though that makes no goddamn sense.
The men have moved in by now and one of them lets out a low hiss.
“El Caucel.”
“Crees eso?” Santiago's gaze cuts towards him and then over at two other men nodding in agreement.
Two more from their team had departed towards the trucks the moment they saw the carnage.
Frankie stands upright with knitted brows before finding Santiago’s gaze.
He’s met with an imperceptible shake of the head.
And so he doesn’t open his mouth again until they’re back in their hotel room.
_____
“You got an explanation for that, Pope?”
“Not a good one.” Santi sits on the edge of a twin bed and unlaces his boots before toeing them off and flopping backwards.
Frankie stays standing, hands on his hips.
“Someone’s out there with high-caliber shit we didn’t even have as Deltas and that’s all you have to say.”
“That’s all I fuckin’ know, Fish. Look, at least we’re on the same side, ok? For now we’re on the same side. Fuck, I need a shower.”
He’s on his feet now. Clearly rattled.
“What’s El Caucel? A group? Where’d they get that kind of heat?”
“I don’t know, Fish. I don’t know if El Caucel is one guy or five…”
Santi doesn’t realize it but he’s pacing the room.
He’s useless like this.
“Go take a fuckin’ shower, Pope.”
“I need a fucking beer.”
_____
Frankie doesn’t speak again until they’re both perched on plastic chairs at the back of an open-air bar, cumbia blaring through tired but persistent speakers, waves lapping at the shore nearly on beat.
“I don’t like it, Pope," he mutters after a sip of beer. "I don’t like that people we don’t know, using shit that we don’t have, know the same things we do," each point punctuated by a finger stabbed into the table.
“They’re after the same people that we are, Fish. We were fifteen minutes late, more than likely that was our backup. I have a call out to my guy, but he’s out of pocket until tomorrow. Can we at least just leave it at that for the night?”
Somehow Santiago’s nerves aren’t as frayed as they were an hour ago.
“This isn’t what I signed up for, Pope.”
“You signed up to kill bad men and get paid, Fish. A bad man is dead today and I don’t know if you took a look at your bank account, but it’s $25K heavier than it was this morning.”
“We didn’t pull that trigger.”
“Take the fuckin’ win, Catfish.”
It's low out of Santiago's mouth. Like an order.
Frankie doesn’t run like this. Not with unknown eyes on them. And he doesn’t take money for jobs he didn’t finish. He agreed not to ask who was bankrolling this little excursion, he trusted Santi’s judgment enough for that, but things were starting to fall out of alignment.
The last time that happened they lost someone.
He doesn’t like how fucking cool Santi is right now either.
And Santiago pipes up as though he can hear the gears in Fish's head gnashing against one another. “Look, Fish. You’ve got a cold beer, the Caribbean fuckin’ Ocean right there, you’re in a beautiful tropical country instead of freezing your balls off in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere in February..."
"...There are hot girls in this bar.”
“Pope.”
“Do you trust me, Fish?”
Dark eyes lock over the table, Frankie searching for something Santi won’t give away. It takes at least a minute for the tight line of Fish’s mouth to soften into his usual pout.
“It’s a sea.”
“What?” Santi swallows a mouthful of beer.
“The Caribbean Sea.”
“Right, fuckin’, okay.” Santi grins. “The goddamn Caribbean Sea. Just enjoy it, Catfish.”
It’s not a good enough explanation, not by a fucking long shot, but he hates admitting that Santi is right. For the next few hours, there’s nothing they can do.
And for a moment, Corona and lime on his tongue and the thought of $25K in his bank account makes him ignore the insistent scratching in the back of his brain.
Dark eyes sail over Santi’s shoulder and happen to land on a woman reading in the corner, all brown skin and black curls that skim the tops of her shoulders. He can't help but notice the way she's left a few buttons on her linen shirt open.
Can't help but notice the way it allows the curve of one breast to peek out when she reaches for her drink.
“I saw her first.” Santi knows exactly where he’s looking.
“I wouldn’t, actually,” Frankie attempts to clarify, but his half-hard cock says otherwise.
“I would.”
“We’re sharing a room, Pope.”
“I’ll put a sock on the doorknob. Plus there was Bogotá that one time,” Santi arches a brow and grins before draining the rest of his beer.
Bogotá that one time and a blonde between the two of them.
There’s more space than you'd think on a twin bed.
“With $25K you can get your own goddamn room.” Fish quips.
Bogotá was before his girl. Before his kid.
“So could you. Honestly. I think you need it, Francisco. Come on, what happens in Nicaragua…”
“Nah, I’m…”
“Yeah, you need it. I’m doin’ it.”
Pope is out of his chair before Fish can bite back.
"Fuckin’ idiot," Frankie mutters under his breath and directs his gaze out to sea.
“Excuse me, miss?” Santiago purrs in Spanish, leaning over the woman’s table, his most disarming smile playing on his lips.
She angles huge green eyes up from her book and waits for Santi to continue.
“My friend over there,” Santi nods his head in Frankie’s direction. “Thinks you look like you could use a refill.”
“Your friend, or you?” She answers in the same tongue.
Santi’s teeth catch on his bottom lip.
“Myee, my uh, my friend.” Santi slips in English. “Mi amigo.”
Freud would have loved that one.
The woman sets her book aside and reaches for a packet of cigarettes, eyes cutting over to Frankie as she taps the top of the box on the table. He's lit up by red and yellow light and staring out across sand.
Plush lips wrapped around the mouth of his beer bottle, wishing the ocean would come crashing through this fuckin’ bar.
“What’s your friend’s name?”
“Freddie.”
“Tell Freddie I’ll take a gin and soda with lime, but only if he does his dirty work himself and sits down here with me.” She lights up a cigarette. “I suppose you can stay too.”
Santi lets out a sharp whistle that has Frankie on higher alert than he’d care to admit.
“Gin and soda,” Santi calls over his shoulder. “What’s your name, sweetheart?”
“Arabela,” she tosses the packet on top of her book.
“Sam,” Santi offers his hand and she takes it, surprised when Santi presses his lips to her knuckles.
Surprised in a turned-off way.
"What are you reading?"
She lifts the packet of Parliaments so he can glance at the title.
The Living Daylights.
"You like spy novels?"
"I think they're funny."
Frankie appears at last, two fresh beers, one gin, and three shots of tequila balanced easily between two massive hands.
The tequila was an impulse but he needs something stronger than Corona if this is Bogotá Round Two.
Which apparently it became the moment Frankie stood up from his seat.
“Freddie, this is Arabela.”
“Mucho gusto.” Frankie’s hand is shy.
All of Frankie is shy.
“I do speak English, if that’s more comfortable.”
“An American.” Santi perks up. “Where are you from, sweetheart?”
“Florida.”
“Ahh, Texas,” he jabs a thumb towards Frankie and then his own chest “and Miami. What part of Florida?”
“Orlando.”
Jesus this is boring.
_____
She actually just showed up here for dinner and a buzz because it was five minutes down the beach from her hotel. A function of convenience, nothing more.
And now with dinner over, she finds herself in need of another gin.
She’s up at the bar when two more men wander in. Not locals but not uncomfortable here either. Military, past or present, from the sound of their boots on the wood planks.
She quickly steals a glance over her shoulder. Military boys aren’t uncommon down here, and frankly not particularly interesting, but these two aren’t standard issue.
One of them looks like a good time and the other looks like trouble.
Trouble slips into a plastic chair at a table in the corner, choosing the seat that allows him to face the door. Good Time on the other hand is skating dark eyes over her bare legs.
She runs the top of one foot over her calf just for kicks as the bartender hands over fresh gin, and turns to leave the very moment that Good Time sidles up.
God it’s too easy.
She’s not here for this tonight.
But it’s been three, or was it four, months and she’s not opposed to it either.
Trouble is heated about something when his friend returns with beers.
He’s cute.
Not in a classically handsome way, his friend has that in spades.
Cocksure, chiseled jaw, perfectly coiffed hair.
No, Trouble is cute in a wound spring kind of way.
The kind of way that looks absolutely beautiful coming wildly undone.
What the fuck is in this gin tonight.
Ten minutes later when Good Time struts over, she decides she definitely isn't opposed.
_____
“What are you doing down here, baby girl?”
“Vacation. Just needed a break from work, I guess.”
Her phone buzzes face-down on the table and Santi Sam laughs.
“I like your phone case,” he grins as he pulls an identical one from his pocket.
Jesus Christ its a regular fucking Amazon phone case, how do we move this along.
“So what are you boys up to?”
He’s probably going to say something stupid like…
“Just appreciating the scenery.”
Yeah.
She checks her watch. It’s barely gone 19:30, she could still have a perfectly enjoyable night on her own.
Nope.
“Look,” she leans over the table as Good Time leans in and Trouble leans back, “I’m sure that works on someone else, but today’s not your day.”
Santi braces for the crash.
“You didn’t come over here just to chat and I’m more than happy to save all of us the grief. What’s on the table?”
“Both of us.”
No one at the table was expecting Frankie to be the one to speak up.
Pope shoots Frankie a look that swims with ‘hadn’t expected but not opposed...’
“If that’s what you want.” Frankie rumbles, arm draped over the back of his chair.
Trouble.
Something searing and unspoken in a language that Pope doesn’t understand passes between them.
“What’s your word, sweetheart?” He continues with the barest nod of his head in her direction, eyes dark. And starved.
 “Bogotá.”
She hadn’t overheard them. There’s no way she could have with the music in this place.
And Frankie throws back his tequila because Frankie's not a man to question the Universe when it hands him something.
“Close the tabs,” a firm hand squeezes Santi’s shoulder as Fish stands. “Hers and ours. You. With me.”
Her with him finds them both outside, her back against the wall of the bar, cigarette nestled between her fingers, Frankie close enough that the heat coming off of him sets her nerves tingling.
He hasn’t laid a hand on her yet. One’s braced on the wall near her head, the other on his hip.
He’s angled such that she has room to slip away.
“Are you sure you want this? You can leave right now and I’ll get him out of here and we’ll pretend we never met.”
Dark eyes track the fingers that bring the cigarette to her lips.
“Is that what you want?”
“I didn’t ask about me,” he rumbles, shifting slightly closer and answering her question with his form.
“Right now,” she tilts her head to blow smoke away from him, “there’s nothing I want more.”
Frankie reaches for her cigarette, freely offered, taking a puff before he dashes it out. His fingers move to trail feather-light across her collarbone and over the buttons of her shirt nudging it open a hair.
He glances back up at her eyes and then her lips, plush and parted and waiting, and Frankie decides he can't wait any longer.
He slides the brim of his cap around backwards as his hand slides up her neck, thumb brushing her bottom lip before he replaces it with his mouth.
When Pope breezes through the door, Frankie nabs him by the back of the shirt, tongue never leaving her mouth. He pulls, slamming Santi against the wall before tearing himself away and taking a step back. His thumb comes up to brush the corner of his mouth, surveying them both.
Her dark hair is wild from his greedy fists, lips and chin reddened from his attention.
Santiago’s eyelids are heavy as he stares back.
“You started without me.” It’s restrained, darkly matter-of-fact. She reaches her hand over to wrap around the back of Pope’s neck and guides him to her, tasting his bottom lip and then his tongue. She slants half-closed eyes over to hold Frankie’s stare as she moans into Pope’s mouth.
Frankie nearly reaches out to rip her away.
“We gotta go,” is what he opts for instead.
_____
Not five minutes later, Santi’s back is pressed against the door to their hotel room. Her back is pressed to his chest. And Frankie is on his knees in front of her, nose pressed into the crotch of her cargo shorts.
Santi’s lips skate up the side of her neck as his hands splay across her stomach under her shirt, hips already searching for friction. She reaches back intending to slip her phone and card holder out of the back pockets of her shorts out of the need to feel Pope there unimpeded, pressed flush against her. He catches on, taking them both from her hands and placing them on the side table, fingertips bypassing two layers of cotton to slip just under the waistband of her underwear. He pulls her back against him by her hipbones, grinding the hardness in his jeans against the curve of her ass and she whimpers at the way it puts her just out of reach of Frankie's mouth.
Frankie pulls his shirt off up over his head, taking his backwards cap with it, and tossing them both over his shoulder into the room. He stands to occupy her mouth with his own while Pope unbuttons his shirt and lands it over the luggage rack. Santi meets Frankie’s eyes over her shoulder and nods. Fish breaks the kiss as Pope’s hands pull her against his chest once more.
She leaves one hand on Frankie’s cheek and reaches the other up to tangle in Santiago’s hair.
“We’re gonna take such good care of you, baby,” Santiago purrs into her ear. “So fucking beautiful,” he continues, mouth hot on her neck.
Frankie watches for a moment, taking in the way her plush lips are parted before he’s on his knees again.
He needs to be here. Needs to feel the heat of her on his face. Needs to get rid of this fucking fabric.
“I’m gonna hold you right here,” Santiago purrs, skating his nose over the shell of her ear, “and he’s gonna eat that pretty pussy of yours,” one hand rides further up her stomach under her shirt, “because that’s his favorite thing in the world.”
Frankie can feel goosebumps appear where he’s stroking his palms over her calves, lips tracing the chill up her thighs.
“Would you like that, pretty girl?” Santi voice is a heady whisper now, and her head falls back into the crook of his shoulder as she hums in approval.
“Need to hear you say it, baby,” Frankie murmurs against her skin.
“God, yes,” she moans and immediately Santi’s mouth finds hers, fingers making quick work of the button on her shorts. Frankie helps her out of her sandals and Pope unzips her, thumbs sliding the fabric down over her hips, passing the task off to Frankie’s fingers to take the rest of the way before moving to do the same with her underwear.
“Leave it,” Frankie bats Pope’s hands away, settling one of his own against the curve of her hip, running the other up over the back of one thigh before breathing heat against her mound. She reflexively cants her hips back against Pope’s and he hears the phone in his back pocket knock against the door before it’s tossed carelessly along with his wallet to join hers on the side table. She runs one hand over Frankie’s forearm, fingers of the other still wound in Santi’s hair.
Plush lips trace the seams of her underwear, falling everywhere but where she wants them.
And so she reaches both hands down, tangling fingers in his soft curls, short nails impatiently scraping at his scalp and she feels him smirk against her inner thigh.
Frankie hooks a hand around the back of her knee, guiding her leg over his shoulder.
“Hold her, Pope.”
Santi’s arm hooks firmly around her ribcage.
She spares a thought for the use of a call sign before suddenly there’s pressure and damp, open-mouthed heat breathed against the sodden cotton covering her core. The leg that’s still on the ground buckles, but Santiago holds her firm, grinning against her mouth.
They work well together, these two.
Frankie’s tongue traces the contours of her folds through the fabric, humming with pleasure at what little taste of her he’s able to get at. He can already tell from the feel of this alone that she’s bare below the cotton and his cock jumps at the thought.
And his cock jumps again at the thought of sharing the thought.
“Pretty girl?” Frankie rumbles, teeth catching gently against her mound as he angles his eyes up at her. “If I were to take these off…” he hooks a finger through the waistband of her panties and lets it snap against her flushed skin.
“I wouldn’t find anything under there, would I?”
He pauses and Santiago feels her grin against his mouth.
“I don’t think you would, Fish.”
“No, I think,” the bridge of his nose bumps against her clit just so and she groans against Santi’s lips. “I think you’re completely bare under here.” He inhales deep and her fingers tighten in his curls. “All of that smooth…soft…skin.” Each word punctuated by a kiss before he sucks, open mouthed against the core of her.
Pope has to hold her again.
Santi’s free hand skates up to palm her right shoulder where cream linen has fallen open before slipping his fingers under the strap of her bra, guiding it down her arm.
And Santiago’s not so much in control so much as he’s just the one they let speak.
“Is he good, princesa?” Santi asks against her lips in the lowest register of his voice. “Does his mouth feel good on you?” Santiago reaches down over her collarbone, under her shirt and bra to palm her breast, one arm still firmly locked around her ribcage.
“Fuck,” she gasps, “so good.”
Frankie hums his thanks and moves a little higher to flick his tongue over her clit. He dwells here a while, alternating light and fast with the tip of his tongue with slower, firmer strokes with the flat of it. The cotton of her thong is soaked from her slick and his mouth, and it’s not long before she turns her lips away from Santiago, panting and moaning in time with Frankie’s flicks.
“She’s close, Fish,” Pope breathes against her pulse.
“Mmm hmm,” he hums, the rumble of it causing her to buck her hips against him. Frankie lets go from where strong fingers have been digging into the thigh over his shoulder and brings his hand to her hip, both palms now holding her firm against Santi.
She can feel how hard he is through the denim that scratches against the curve of her ass. How it's taking all of Santiago's control not to grind against her there. Not to send her knocking against Fish's teeth.
Neither of these men have actually put skin against anything that matters, and yet she’s falling apart between them.
No sooner does the thought cross her mind than Frankie hooks a thumb into the crotch of her thong, pulling the gusset to the side.
He hums deep and low because he was right.
He’s just about to lick a stripe through her glistening folds when a clattering buzz rings out into the room.
All three of them startle.
Santi spares a glance down at the side table where the offending phone is casting blue light into the room.
His contact’s number.
“Fuuck,” he growls, “I gotta get this. Take her to bed, Fish.” Frankie lets her leg down from his shoulder, “and don’t you fucking dare make her come without me.”
“No promises,” he mumbles between kisses, allowing her to move him until the backs of his knees hit the edge of the bed. He sits and she straddles his hips and he bucks up against her, telegraphing what's on offer.
She presses her forehead against his as he fights to nip at her jaw, cursing softy at the feel of him before her fingers scramble to unzip his jeans.
Frankie grins, arm wrapping tight around her waist, and grinds his crotch against her heat as Santi picks up the phone.
“Hey honey, I uh...I can’t really talk right now,” Santi’s voice rings out from the hallway as if he wasn’t half naked and panting.
She props herself up briefly without breaking Frankie’s kisses in an effort to quiet the moans that he can’t seem to keep in his throat. He runs his palms down her sides to fit on her hips and pull but she’s strong.
“Santiago? Well, now that’s interesting.”
“How...how's that, babe, you called me?”
“Santiago, this isn’t your phone.”
And Santiago's blood runs cold.

I've been meaning to overhaul Argonians but don't even know what mods are the best to go for. What would you recommend for eyes and skin(that isn't fetish stuff)? Most of the skins I've seen are geared towards sex mods and that just makes me uncomfortable.
Ohhh yeah, I get where you're coming from 😬
I'm not sure if quality is an issue for you, but I'm not too bothered with lower-res Argonian textures because ALL textures are blurry on their faces for some reason.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Richy's ESO Argonians
Probably my favorite despite being a little blurry because it's uniquely cool. Makes Argonians look like the ESO cinematic trailer Argonians, with crocodile-like plates. While it was only released on LE, it plays fine on SE/AE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Riverborn Argonian
Pretty cool, gives them a sort of draconic look. Very good quality, too. The author recently added a female version :D
Tumblr media
Forgotten Argonian Roots
An oldie but a goodie. I think the female variations are neat! Defintiely download the 4k version and use Cathedral Assets Optimizer to downscale if you need it: the 2k textures are bugged.
Tumblr media
If you can get past the shitty pics, MonsterRaider's Masculine and Feminine textures are good quality: the Default scale versions don't have the weird human-skin torsos. The Chameleon one is unique, and the Lizard one is similar to vanilla, but higher quality. If you can't get past the mod page pics, DM me and I can set you up with the files.
There are a few that are just upscaled versions of the vanilla one too, but I haven't really looked into them.
(Just to be sure you know, a texture mod won't make your character naked, so if you see one you like that only has naked screenshots know it won't do that in your game.)
I honestly haven't found one particular eye mod I love for all Argonians: I think the one in the screenshots is Natural Eyes. Improved Eyes, Kala's Beast Race Eyes, and Argonians Enhanced are neat. Unfortunately all but Kala's are vanilla texture replacers, so you can't use them together.
For more recommendations for Beast races, check out this list. It's quite comprehensive!
Anyways, hope you like one of these :)

Finished JJK S1.
Woooo this fight scene with the song and editing fucked so hard. Had to be my favorite fight of the series so far. Nobara and Yuji worked great as a team, which I suppose makes sense because they kinda seem to run on the same wavelength. Like they'll always be screaming and yelling about the same things while Megumi is either indifferent or embarrassed about it lmao.
When Yuji asked Nobara if she felt bad about killing Eso and Kechizu, and she said no, but Yuji pointed out that Eso cried for Kechizu... I resonated with that sense of compassion Yuji has.
I'm glad Megumi actually won a damn fight at the end of the series. He's a cool dude. but his skills weren't quite up to snuff just yet, so I'm glad that Yuji's progress inspired him to be better. Or, really, he just kinda let himself go off the rails fully.
It's really interesting to me how a lot of the characters in this series are motivated by a particular person(s). Like Yuji and his grandfather, Nobara and that lady that her village chased away, Megumi and his sister, Kasumi and her little brothers, and Noritoshi and his mother.
Mahito just pisses me the fuck off. He was fine at first, but then when he wouldn't just die, I grew tired of him and his deranged giggles. And his whole talk of the soul and stuff. Like yeah yeah shut up.
I actually grew to really like Todo. I thought he was just some annoying brute at first, but when he fought Yuji and formed a sense of friendship/brotherhood with him, that's when I found him really fun. His clapping while fighting Hanami was sooo lmao. And his love for that celebrity girl is alskdja.
Nanami ofc is one of my favs so far. I already ranted about him earlier, but I like that he feels reliable and protective. He's just cool.
Wasn't sure how I felt about Toge until I got to see him in action. He's cool as well, and I want to see more of him in the future.
I want more Sukuna bro. Wish he talked more. Though I suppose maybe less is more in his case. It makes it more impactful when he does appear briefly. But I also won't be mad if he does come forth more frequently in the future. And I will also be thrilled if he's the one to end Mahito. I'll pay him to wipe that smile off Mahito's face.
Gojo is just a fun character. A badass who also acts as comic relief. I kinda like him better with his mask on though lmao his blue eyes are kinda intense.
Oh oh oh, I loved that moment when Nobara was fighting Momo and told her she could dress pretty if she wanted and be powerful. Like yeees! Duality~
All the techniques are pretty interesting. Megumi's lightning bird thingy is probably one of my favorites. Toge's ability is awesome in action. And I wasn't really sure about Nobara's hammer and nails, but her use of them, especially in the last episode, became more interesting.
...While looking up a character's name just now, I just stumbled across a spoiler... haha fuck you Mahito.
No but the Junpei situation was sad, and it was set up well enough that I felt okay about his death because I felt like it served it's purpose in motivating Yuji more. Like obviously it would've been nice if Junpei survived, but the tragedy of his life truly did serve as just, well, a tragedy. (That being said, fuck Mahito, all my homies hate Mahito.)
I don't understand why I'll be like 9 minutes into an episode and then all of a sudden the opening credits will randomly start playing. Like bro?? Why not just play that at the beginning?? I know I've been out of the anime game for a long time but surely that's not a typical thing in modern animes, is it?? Or was it always that way and I forgot??
Overall, I'm enjoying the characters and plot. It does drag a bit when the characters constantly have to explain their abilities or certain things about curses and such, but I suppose it's the same as sport animes when they constantly talk about new techniques.

interested in yr starfield take. played a lot of skyrim as a teen as one does but am not per se a bethesda fan and am mostly bemused by how little i have seen anyone talking about starfield either way in my social circles
well listen this with the important distinction that I am a Bethesda fan. Todd wrapped his chess-master's hands around my throat as a child and has not let go, so perhaps it's me that is biased, but I've been asking for years for a Starfield-esque game and I will not complain now that they've given it to me.
The critical like friction point I think with Starfield and mainstream gaming is that it's an FPS that isn't an FPS. I rarely had to actually fight outside of space flight mechanics. Most plot-based fights could be avoided with a keen enough charisma-or-whatever-space-equivalent skill. I think overall Starfield's flaw was Cyberpunk's flaw in a much more professional setting: it didn't commit enough to what it wanted to do, and by doing so added some watered down stuff that didn't work. Starfield wanted to be an exploration game: No Man's Sky, Garden of the Sea, something that's focused on studying the flora and fauna.
But also they doubled down on settlement building, something that people only wanted to use to make themselves home bases in Fallout 4 and otherwise didn't enjoy as a method of resource management (unless there was some bethesda forum silent majority: generally I gauge whether something is broadly popular or unpopular by asking my brother if it annoyed him dsfkjhds). And then also there was combat, but not just the ship combat which was the real novelty, but also base level FPS combat? But only sometimes.
And then of course there were the procedurally generated worlds which everyone knew immediately was not going to work, because No Man's Sky had already fumbled that hurdle. Bethesda narrative structure is not suitable for random distribution: they excel with specific and focused quest lines in limited, fleshed out locations (ie Shivering Isles, particular abandoned Vault side quests in Fallout 3, Rivenspire in ESO) and become overly generic and repetitive once they remove that element (all the busywork in Skyrim, all the backtracking in Starfield).
This is a problem with a lot of AAA video games as time goes on because...they don't want to commit to genre. What if someone doesn't like that genre? Then they won't buy the game. And it's gotten to the point where games are starting to flop because the mechanics are so broadly generalized and bloated that even the interesting stuff isn't relevant enough to do more than annoy players. I love scanning things in Starfield, I loved scanning them enough that they were fully researched, I loved finding different planets with variations on gravity...but there was literally no reason to explore. There could have been: I was in a guild of explorers. They could have done so much to make it worth my while to explore planets, but instead it was a radiant quest that I didn't even get the first time I played.
I've asked for a long, long time for a video game where my core purpose was not "bloodthirsty fighter itching to kill something with a gun or several guns or a knife or a sword murder kill death death death I don't understand magic I just want to cull my enemies". I hate playing ESO and getting treated like a barbarian in every interaction. I hate being railroaded into being a combat marine in Mass Effect (and was thrilled when Andromeda gave me cool biotics like everyone else got except for Shepard even if Shepard was a biotics class). I want class variation, even if we need to take money away from fidelity and put it into narrative so I can have someone treat me like I'm not a complete drooling neanderthal even if I specifically pick a magic or stealth class.
Starfield gave me that. I was able to pick dialogue options that reflected my skills. If I had points in geology, I could reassure Barrett that the story that the mining company fed him about his husband's misconduct was implausible. I could scold people for improper storage and care of relics even without sinking any particular skills. I could choose to be in religious awe of the relic visions, I could choose to be scientifically fascinated by them, I could choose to be power hungry about them. It's the most flexibility that's ever been allowed in a Bethesda game that I've ever played, and combat was so unfocused that I frequently forgot that fighting was even an option.
I really liked building my ship. I liked that it was a bit of a puzzle when it came to connecting things. The UI was awful and there wasn't much of a tutorial, but I said already that I'm a Bethesda fan. I liked ship combat once I got the hang of it, I liked the act of flying the ship around space. A lot of people said "Starfield gets really good...twelve hours in har har har" which I don't think is strictly fair. Starfield gets good once you figure out how to do stuff and use stuff the way it's supposed to be done and used.
Overall I think Starfield was a really positive experiment in trying something new with the FPS genre. Not everything worked which is grounds for a mass murder-suicide when it comes to how level-headedly gamers react to things that are really popular that they're just not clicking with (seriously I think a lot of problems in the game industry could be at least alleviated if we unlocked the 'just because you want to like it does not mean a fundamental right of yours is being violated if you don't' skill tree), but I like that a company the size of Bethesda is still kind of trying new things. Some quests REALLY hit me in the face: there's one where you're hunting down a relic and find a permeable reality where you have to decide to canonize one particular timeline over another, which involves a lot of switching through timelines in order to advance through to the next room. That was incredible, and meant so much more to me than any generic fetch quest. Grinding mechanics are difficult: not all players like to grind, but if you leave off grinding altogether then it becomes more complicated to balance for difficulty, especially if your goal is to present specific challenges to your player.
Anyway I thought Starfield was fun, I thought the story was good, I think fidelity is overrated, I think that many problems with video games would be solved by carefully integrated accessibility features, and I watched multiple videos criticizing Starfield for things that have always been true across Bethesda games (ie "why do guards know I've stolen and what I've stolen between different planets" because that's how Bethesda has always handled theft mechanics, maybe you just don't like Bethesda games and don't have an immutable human right to frictionlessly play and enjoy every video game that your friends are also playing (not YOU anon just the general you)). There's plenty of things to criticize but at this point I think some people just start nitpicking for nitpicking's sake. It's okay that some people didn't like it. They don't have to, but much like not liking something doesn't make it evil, not liking something also doesn't make it bad.
Overall though I'm not surprised that no one has heard much about it: it ran terribly without many options outside of modding to fix that issue. Maybe things are different over on Reddit, but I'm willing to wager that a lot of PC gamers have outdated systems. I said it about Cyberpunk and I'll say it here too: it's nice that your NASA computer can run one billion fps with high detail shadows and 4K reflections. Mine needs to be able to turn that shit off or else I just can't play your game.
As far as what you haven't heard about the main plot, I'll say this: it's a very, very interesting twist on infinite replayability. Nothing is truly infinitely replayable, but Starfield makes a very bold and frankly fascinating leap into how to achieve such a thing, to the point where before I found the ending I was like "it would have been better to redirect resources from x to the ending in order to achieve this insane thing" and while it's not perfect, I was SHOCKED that they just...literally do. It's so fascinating that I'm kind of surprised that no one talked about it.

20 questions for fic writers
Thank youuu @isahorcrux for the tag! it's been so long since I did one of these omigoddddd
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
37!
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
392k. a bit crazy that the next chapter of theogony will put it over 400k. wauw!!!!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
publicly? Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. privately? I have an entire folder on my laptop called 'other shit' which is just one-shots for about fifteen different fandoms which I will never publish <3
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
god. this is really making me look at my statistics page which I actively try not to do lol. but it's one long day, I will carry you, color theory, foreigner's god, and growing pains. what can I say, the ppl love the they lived AUs!
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to but I'm terrible about it which is a personal failing. I am so sorry. a new strategy that helps with this is that with my WIPs I try to respond right after the next chapter is posted so the person gets a nice lil notif and they have something else to read!
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
oh hmmm. I guess the derelict art of letting go ending was angsty, but the whole thing was angsty. the end was bittersweet. maybe Invictus? ok new problem is I can't remember what I've written
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
foreigner's god! it's always clare why did you write all of that sad stuff into foreigner's god clare why did you write their deaths in such brutal detail clare I made my roommate read this and now she won't stop crying blah blah and it's never hey clare thanks for that nice ending scene where they're just married and lying in bed and vibing!!!!!!!!!
8. Do you get hate on fics?
yeah I do and I think under viking law I'm legally permitted to fistfight the commenters!!!!!!!!!!!! step up cowards!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. Do you write smut. If so, what kind?
god. lmao. yes I do! not often, though, I'm afraid. I tend to write an extremely narrow niche which is just exorcising trauma through sex and personal intimacy. I have no chill :)
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
no I actually usually dislike crossovers lol. like theogony is a fusion of the outlander premise but I can assure you that James Alexander Malcom MacKenzie Frasier will not make an appearance. crossovers stress me out and I like to keep my little fictional words separate, if I can. ok edit: on further review I've concluded that I enjoy premise swaps (these are just AUs lol), but I can't deal with characters from multiple pieces of media interacting. it's too much. stay in your lanes, my god. this isn't super smash bros.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not a whole fic but someone basically copy and pasted a bunch of lines from NAR into their story and then a bunch of drama ensued. it sucked and I don't like looking at NAR because it reminds me of it. I still think about the anon who told me about it, though. they were so lovely and so caring and kind to me. I hope they're doing well.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
yes! both with my permission and without. ha ha.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
babes I can't even finish the stories that I'm writing by myself
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
percabeth or zelink! or any doomed/short-lived/five seconds of screen time couple in a tv show or book. seriously idk why but I always fixate on the less important characters
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I renounce this question in the name of christ. amen.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I exist not with writing strengths or weaknesses but instead a secret third thing (stupidly recognizable style)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
see above
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I actually have a WIP where James lives in Spain to play quidditch and he speak Spanish in it :) eso me asusta mucho pq no he practicado mi español hace muchos años pero…sea lo que sea
19. First Fandom you wrote for?
percabeth! my ffnet account is still out there somewhere with ~four percabeth stories that are terrible :) just very bad :) no good :) horriblé :)
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
theogony or foreigner's god! or suze's bday fic but that's because I have never tailor-made something for someone quite like that fic and she was so sweet about it eye can't deal
tagging my internet wife @thequibblah bestie...knocking at ur door...standing outside with an edible arrangement...

It's weird when you move away from something whether you do on purpose or just fall away from it and you miss the fun times but find going back difficult.
I miss my ESO ocs but I'm finding it hard to care about Elder Scrolls lately. My friends have mostly gone, my partner doesn't really enjoy ESO anymore and I'm stuck in a strange place. I love my characters and their stories but the game just isn't in a good place for me anymore. Especially in regards to RP, since I mostly enjoyed that with my partner.
I've played ESO for almost 10 years and over the years I've changed, grown and become a very different person. My characters have grown with me and it has been a really fun and unique experience.
I haven't really enjoyed the main chapter storylines in ESO for the past few years now (the writing has definitely taken a dive since Elsweyr in my opinion). I'm finding it harder and harder to care with the way things have been going. This might change with the anniversary year and I truly hope it does pick back up.
It's such a shame but maybe a break will be nice.
This isn't a 'ESO is bad now and you shouldn't play it' post, it's just a little bit of insight into why I'm posting less recently.
Thank you for everything over the years ❤

I honestly think I would buy Genesis Crystals if they were just a little cheaper. I've always had a gaming budget for F2P games, at a set $20 a month. On Flight Rising that was about enough to get you a premium scroll or two; in ESO I just paid for ESO Plus whenever I was playing enough for it to be worth it; in Pokemon Go that gets me super incubators and sometimes a few remote raid passes. In Genshin, that gets me... less than a ten-roll.
If I could pay $15 or $20 for a ten-roll, I would do it once a month or so! Once every other month, maybe, since if I max out the battle pass in a BP period I go ahead and spend $10 for the premium half of it and I've been doing that a lot lately. Sometimes I get the Welkin Moon, which is frankly a way better deal than the $15-dollar crystal package, but I dislike the FOMO feeling of having to log in to get the benefit (it's the same reason I was intermittent about ESO Plus and rarely play subscription games in general). And I've spent once each to get crystals for Jean and Ayaka's special outfits. But like, if $15 got me an easily parse-able, useful amount of primogens, if it was just a flat 1600 crystals, I would probably be giving Hoyo more money, on a more regular basis, than just the-battle-pass-when-I-max-it and this-is-my-birthday-month-so-let's-get-a-Welkin.
I'm sure there's some kind of psychology behind it that makes the not-as-parse-able numbers more useful when getting people with bigger budgets than I have to buy them. But my budget's still sitting here at that $20 a month, divided with Pokemon Go, and right now Niantic is getting much more benefit of it than Hoyo is, because Niantic makes their coin packages much more directly and immediately worthwhile than the crystals.

Today has been nowhere near as relaxing as I want it to be. I give up.
However, it does feel really good to be playing ESO with my Husband again, even a little bit, after several years of not playing ... Even if I do have to start completely over from scratch on PC today (RIP not being able to port characters or crown purchases across platforms)- and keep having to log out every 5 seconds to go deal with Mother in Law issues.
Trying something new for once in my life since I starded playing, even; made a Sorcerer and am running a lightning DPS build instead of the usual Dragonknight Healer I've always played (yes, the original Khajiit Dragonknight Healer, at your service; never tell me something can't be done. I will prove the forums wrong about it).

Since Baldur's Gate 3 officially launched yesterday, I thought I'd go back through my screenshots and document my Early Access character creation to see what changed and what didn't. Early Access was fun, although we didn't have access to a lot of the variations and classes that we do now, but the major drawback was that sometimes they wiped the game and reloaded a new version and you'd lose your character and progress.
Progress didn't matter to me, since I'm not the biggest fan of the turn-based systems, and those who know me know that designing characters is probably one the things I love most about these games.
First row left: First iteration Vathi (cleric)
First row right: First iteration Vathi's companion
Second row left: Second iteration Vathi (cleric)
Second row right: Second iteration Vathi's companion
Third row left: Current Vathi (bard)
Third row right: Vathi's guardian
Fourth row left: Current Xiao (druid)
Fourth row right: Xiao's guardian
Fifth row left: In-game screencap of Vathi
Fifth row right: In-game screencap of Xiao
Thoughts on character creation:
I'm a little disappointed that the face shapes cannot be modified, and there aren't that many choices, but the breadth of colors for skin is amazing (as it was in Early Access).
I am also a little disappointed that there are still a lot of generic if extremely pretty faces (I mean…I do like pretty faces), with not many non-anglo/caucasian-like choices. Most of the ones that are clearly coded non-white also lean heavily white-passing (I'm choosing to call it mixed race, like me). But that's not new to gaming, and I understand the need to limit choices…somewhat.
I had forgotten that the official game would allow one to choose a non-binary/other gender, genatalia preference, and hairstyles and voices aren't gender-gated. It's no surprise that I tend to play women characters way more than men, but I am rather excited to officially be able to play as a non-binary/other character (and both of my character's guardians are set as non-binary as well). I wonder how I will integrate that into my character's back story?
Overall, I don't think my design of Vathi in any iteration varies too much. All are Drows (full or half), have my preferred skin color for a character, and where the choice of heterochromia exists, they all go that direction.
Although my first two versions were attempting to be more serious, in the current game I decided to go more cutesy, since I'll be seeing this one more often. I also repeated the octopus tattoos from the second iteration because, well, tentacles are fun.
I'm excited to play a bard, since that is the D&D character I have the most experience playing, so the abilities are pretty familiar. I chose the massive lute instead of a smaller instrument, though, and I wonder if I will regret that in screencaps.
I created Xiao after Vathi, although I don't know if I will actually play him. However, I wanted to create a different character after going through the full creation with Vathi. He's so conventionally pretty, but I like his hair color a lot more. Given the gameplay and the fact that the story will be the same (overall), I don't know that it'll be as compelling a second time, but I still do love a pretty character. I may even create a few more (dragonborn, tiefling) because those creation choices are quite cool, too.
Buns and braids are my favorite looks. Although I did also consider the lower buns for Xiao (ignore the color, that was the default)
Tumblr media
Anyway, it's a nice diversion from the ESO I've been playing lately, when I'm not too tired after work.

Hello very cool baby arcanist!Neloth drawing! Have you played eso for long? Are you into housing?
Heeyyy thanks so much! I've played ESO off and on since... 2020 I think? I think that's when I first got it. I know ESO Morrowind was purchased for me, possibly in 2019, and I gave it the old college try, but then I really got into it after being gifted Elsweyr. (My spouse is my greatest enabler). And THEN I blasted through the Clockwork City in a fit of inspiration before taking a long, long hiatus from the game.
I won't lie, I pretty much play ESO like a single player RPG lol. MMOs are a foreign concept. I've always played on PS4 and it's been nearly impossible to find fandom friends to play with on that console. So all of the fancy stuff passes me by as I bop from quest to quest, reading all the lore books, falling in love with the charming little NPCs, destroying all of these crafting items that I compulsively collect because I'm a Skyrim Hoarder Boy at heart and I run out of room in my inventory and can't claim rewards from completing quests....
I always joke that I'm not much of a gamer, and it's not a joke. I play game (Skyrim). But every winter I usually pick ESO back up because it's dark outside and I find running around in Tamriel to be incredibly healing.

Today is the 10 year anniversary of my ESO account ❤️ To date, I've played the game for over 1,000 hours.
I remember the childlike excitement I felt at the announcement of this game. You mean you can play ANY of the races IN THEIR HOMELANDS? THE FUCK? THAT'S AWESOME. I joined the beta with two of my friends and have played it ever since. Well, not TOO often in those initial years. The game was a little rougher in its infancy.
This game is the only MMO I've played, and honestly, I feel a strange sense of pride at how far the game has come since the beta. God, playing the game now is like cutting butter with a warm knife compared to those first couple years.
Sometimes I just log in to gather mats and run away from every enemy. I've never played the PVP part of the game. I only went to Cyrodiil because I wanted the Explorer title. I ran into an enemy player in a cave, we both paused, then ran away from each other.
One of my characters has the entire map completely explored except for the books. Three of my toons have completed Cadwell's Gold. I've been kicked out of groups for playing the lute and it took me an embarrassing amount of time to learn how to optimize armor. Sometimes I like a challenge but mostly I play to enjoy the nice little moments and the scenery.
Here's to another 10 years! 🍾🎂
