I loooooooove your future 2012 AU of the boys. They all look so badass and cool but still them and its so GOOD. I wanna consume them.

I also had some questions if thats okay? What happened to Leo's leg? Did his knee injury gradually get worse and he was like "lol im gonna cut it off" or did he get reinjured in that spot and that was basically the end of the entire leg? Also how old are they in this AU? I know they are supposed to be adults but like in their 20s? I'm just wondering cause their character sheets dont have ages. ALSO LEO BEING THE SHORTEST MADE MY ENTIRE LIFE. (Props to Mikey for finally gaining some height). And I LOVE Donnie's long ass bandana tails, he looks so cool but so dramatic with them its great. Anyway thank you for your time and this beautiful AU!

AIHDDJHDJD THANK YOU SO MUCH IM HAPPY THAT YOU ENJOY THE FUTURE 12 GREMLINS. as traumatised as they are, they’ve worked through it despite some really rough patches. they definitely still have their bad days and nightmares, but they’ve learned to grow together and help each other through those bad times. they’ve changed and grown in their own way ofc, but they needed to relive the teenage years that they’ve lost, that’s why they’re still somewhat themselves in my au :)

LEO’S LEG

it’s actually a mix of both! leo kept pressuring his knee and over the years it gradually became worse — since he kept pushing his knee beyond it’s limits it keeps getting re-injured. the final straw was him snapping his knee again (completely this time) during a nasty fight and had to chop it off. the phantom pains he gets from his missing limb is… horrible, to say the least.

(BUT THAT FIRST SCENARIO YOU MENTIONED WOULD BE SO FUNNY THOUGH. imagine leo waking up one day and going, “oh wow. this knee injury hurts really bad, maybe i should chop it off. lol im actually gonna do it.” cue him barging into donnies lab like “DONNIE. I DEMAND YOU CUT MY LEG OFF” “WHAT?!” “CUT MY LEG OFF IT HURTS” “OF COURSE IT HURTS WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU’RE THE ONE WHO KEEPS INSISTING THAT YOU SHOULD ‘TRAIN’ IT.” “yeah but i think my blood circulation isnt working look my leg is pale” “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK LEO” and boom. leg no more.)

AGES

they should be around their late 20s in this au, i hc that for every season of the show they age one year. so at the start they were like 15, and the show had 5 seasons (granted s5 was a bit messy and was full of aus and past flashbacks, but there was that demodragon arc and stuff) so they would be 20 at the end of the show. specifically they’re like 28 :) they are kinda old but hey at least they don’t have to pay taxes in the sewers…

HEIGHT PROBLEMS

oh god, when raph suddenly had a growth spurt it was horrible for leo. he was relentlessly being teased every single day and raph would NOT let off. and then when MIKEY hit being 1cm taller than leo, the teasing fucking doubled and he was downright miserable. they kept growing while leo was barely getting any height. he’s still their sensei though — and he makes them do extra training as punishment for the relentless teasing :) donnie doesn’t join in on the teasing (sometimes he does) but he does snicker when raph and mikey make jokes about leo’s height. it’s funnier for him because he’s been the tallest out of all of them since day one.

MORE ABOUT DONNIE

and yessss i loved designing donnie! since he was tall everything about his design had to compensate for his height so i figured long mask tails and a long lab coat would do the trick. his brothers were concerned over him tripping on his mask tails but he hasn’t, not even ONCE. he is one graceful, careful boy. he braids it or ties it into a bow whenever he does lab work so it doesn’t accidentally slip into one of his chemicals somehow. sometimes he lets mikey do it for him :)

hey i'm making my first VN in ren'py because of your work and I was wondering how much of the text for your games do you write for the first time in the engine? do you write in an external word processor or just do it right there? i'm trying to get a feel for a workflow

first of all good luck and im happy to hear i inspired you! visual novels are a good and accessible way to make your own story i truly believe that.

i think the workflow for htis kind of stuff heavily ends up just being personal preference. everyone who ive heard talking about this does it differently so theres clearly no right or wrong and its more about finding what works for you best.

but that being said what works for me is that i tend to make a little discord server for myself and create a tab for my project and just save pictures or text snippets taht i like just for inspiration. i might wake up in the middle of hte night to write some couple lines down if i thought of a cute interaction i want to include. but basically just gathering reference and inspiration weeks before i even bother opening up google docs and do any real writing.

after that when its actually the time to write i just start throwing everything i have in google docs and write chronologically though sometimes i might jump a bit if i really am feeling inspired to write a horny scene or osmething and hten come back to connecting it to the story later on lol. i include the character who is speaking and try to put all dialogue in to quotation marks for easy transfer later on. but for bigger chunks of text like narration i just let it be a big block and afterwards i split it into appropriate text box fitting sizes when i am moving it into renpy and adding all the code part like what background and sprites to show etc. i tend to leave a lot of comments like ##add door sound here or ##add sprite of this expression here cause i dont wanna interrupt the flow of putting the text in and then come back to finish the scene later on with hte other aspects.

at that point if im working in renpy i most likely wont bother touching google docs anymore since its annoying to have two versions of my script and i just write everything directly in renpy at that point

but yeah even this feels like a simplification in truth its a lot more messy and i always end up with situations where i confuse myself cuase im doing things in a weird order or have two scripts that have slight variations cause other is in renpy and other is in google docs lmfao

though i think the biggest thing is that if you write in google docs with the intent to move it over to renpy later i think trying to write with clear consistent manner will make it easier to transfer it over later on. there is some trickery you can do to make it even more easier but ive always done it manually in the past..

☆Koi's species doesn't have a name yet (like literally.. ask Koi what their species's name is and they dont have a clue), though they were hunted and are in low numbers!

☆Koi has two forms, their human form, and their animal form. They mostly stay in their human form though.

☆While they do have vitiligo, most of Koi's markings are from a burn accident.

☆Koi's eyes are naturally red, dont worry, they sleep plenty.

☆Koi has extremely fluffy hair!!!

☆Koi is about 13-15.. age gets a bit messy whenever you don't keep track..

☆Koi has a higher resistance to infection and posion. (for example for the "infection" part if a 1 zombie bite infected a human, it would take 2 to infect Koi)

Ive like talked a little about stuff related 2 her identity problems ☝️ ✌️ and everything but like. vague hand motions heres the whole thing:;;;

Tbh im not sure where it started but to me its a mix of her ties to dionysus being expression and emotions and me just projecting onto her. her powers are focused on influencing others and manipulating things rather than just nature or art so shes like. full of chaos. not even in a silly personality trait way its literally just built into her. thats what her powers are. chaos and change. thats what she embodies. [which contrasts angels motif of calmness and cowardice and brings a cool balance to their relationship]

so obviously that and having bipolar disorder can make things messy sometimes and she struggles with truly being happy with her friendships. which is bad on its own but these also make her really cling to predictability and the idea of being in control (most obvious ex. is taking the role of leader during the quest for herself and planning out everything they do) which like. is related to the uncertainty she feels towards herself and her future cuz shes like getting closer to being an adult [and also the age lots of demigods dont make it very far past but she hasnt had to worry much about that until now] but really isnt ready to do that nor does she have any real passion for any job or thing related to it. shes just focused on finishing highschool and then she’ll have to worry about that. which she hated cuz yk. Mentioned stuff.

so basically its lots of Wow this is a lot of emotions about stuff with me in it. But who am i even. What is my purpose what am i supposed to do. Why is the world like this i dont want to do adult things. I dont even know what those adult things are or how they work.

i wanna say there were some v small thoughts about this pre-demigod stuff happening [mostly just about if people like her or not or how tf to make friends rather than everything else] and it just like got 10x worse once they did start cuz it like ruined what good she had goin. duh

and going with the linked post where i apologize to gabby she also has the dumbest smart person in the room problem where yes she Is very smart and good at problem solving and fighting but she also feels like shes not very useful or impressive when in certain groups [like how angel and jade have more knowledge about greek myths and nature than her] so its like. Hm is she really all that if she can only shine when surrounded by people less competent than she. also the guilt mentioned in said post is like related to this too cuz she wants to look cool and be inteligent and awesome yet also could come off as stuck up or a showoff or something cuz of how much she wants to be looked up to by others and be complimented

i think the last thing i have to say about it is how she does a lot of avoiding like. as a coping thing. like 2 examples i have so far for p1 would be the whole forced quest thing as an excuse to leave camp and not deal with violet or jack or anyone else who could bring up the fight and then the breakdown talk with angel (though its less avoiding and more finally snapping from all the pushing away) … and like maybe the bedrotting on their first summer there could count since she didnt wanna go out and see her dad or engage in any camp things but idk. maybe the thing w her stepdad too

As a premise i have played dnd but with a group of my friends for like 3 oneshots where i had no idea what was going on really and the dm was pretty inexperienced SO i am going 2 go off of all ive picked up from jrwi mostly since thats where ive learnt like. Everythin abt dnd. SO I MAY BE WRONG ABT SOME STUFF BUT IM EXPLAINING FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SOMEONE WHO HAS LEARNT EVERYRHING LIKE THIRD HAND.

BUT. so dnd is. Fuck iidk what term u use to explain it but its basically exactly like playing pretend as an 8 year old except with more rules and its fantasy instead of like lego ninjago or whatever The Council of 8 year olds has decided 2 play today.

Im gonna relate EVERYTHING back 2 riptide btw forrrr ease of access SO YEAH OKAY.

In dnd, there r basically 2 roles u can be. Either the dm (the dungeon master) or a player. Simply these r basically like the narrator and the characters sorta. The players each have their own player characters (pc) that they play and they very rarely change who they play in a campaign. They might get a new pc if their old one dies or smth happens to them where they arent around for a while. The dm however, plays pretty much every single other npc in the campaign (and grizzly, the dm of riptide jrwi, does it so fucking well and he has a unique voice for like 80 different characters or smth hes insane). The dm also tells the story and presents the players w the situations they need to get past. The players then decide what they do. The entire thing however is a LOT of yes anding. For example, the dm might be like "so you step into this tavern and around you you see [description of tavern bla bla bla] and sitting at the tables r groups of people, many of them bald, [bla bla bla more description of everything happening round them]. And then with that the players might decide their characters talk to each other a bit and then slap each bald man, resulting in the dm then later creating a combat with the players fighting against a group of bald men. For example. But yea thats the dm n the players basically n yea

However beyond just usual roleplay of like characters interacting and chilling, theres the whole thing w ROLLING. Bc like. Just ROLL with it. Bc like any rpg every character, pc or npc or enemy or anything. Has stats in a few different skills. Since i barely remember playing dnd myself bc that was like almost 2 years ago or smth fuck if i remember, im just gonna list of what i do remember from hearin shit in riptide. So these skills r shit like charisma and strength and wisdom n acrobatics n whatever yknow and i dont actuallyyy remember but ITS FINE. and then there r 2 ways ppl can roll these things. Either checks, or saves. Its sorta difficult to explain the difference between a check and a save because in terms of technicality i dont actually know the difference. But usually checks are for if youve decided to just do an action, but saves are for if youre trying to negate a negative effect or. Whatever. For example, if youre trying to pick up something very heavy, youd make a strength check. But if you were like trying to. Fuck wait i cant think of an example of a strength save. Errr. Ok fuck it im switching 2 charisma examples. A charisma check would be if ur tryna like idk win someone over, but usually ud make a persuasion check or a deception check fuck wait er idk the difference. OKAY IGNORE ME HERE BC IDK THE TECHNICALITIES OF DND THAT WELL BC I HAVENT PLAYED IT IN A WHILE AND I ONLY DID A COUPLE VERY MESSY ONESHOTS. but a saving throw would be for smth likeee lets say someones tryna possess u and u dont want em to. U would make a wisdom saving throw to try to like Resist the possession. If u win the save, u dont get possessed. If u fail it, u get possessed. And the way u determine if something fails or wins, is with dcs. I do not know what dc stands for but its basically whatever number u have to roll higher than to pass.

ANYWAYS. With rolling n shit, with checks n saves, u roll on a d20 (a dice with 20 sides) and then add or subtract ur modifier in that ability. For example, gillion in jrwi has like a -4 to dexterity or smth absurd bc hes not dexterous at all. This means that if he rolls like a 15 on the d20, thatd become an 11 instead. If it is actually a -4 idk the exact number. Altho, chip jrwi has like a +11 to persuasion because hes fucking insane. So then if he rolls a 15 persuasion check thst becomes a fucking 26. Also, rolling a natural 20 or a natural 1 r like. Sorta big things as they r the highest and lowest u can roll. So like, rolling a nat20 is almost always an immediate success UNLESS whatever ur trying to beat has an insanely high dc. For example, at one point gillion had to make a constitution save with like a dc 35 because he had done some crazy shit. He rolled a natural 18, and with all his spells and all his modifiers to give him some kinda buff, he only made it to like a 32 USING ALMOST ALL HIS AND HIS FRIENDS SPELLS. So in this case he wouldve had to roll a nat20, but without the spells and buffs, that wouldnt have succeeded because it wouldve still been below the 35. Anyways.

Theres also a thing called rolling w advantage or disadvantage which is from whst ive seen, just rolling twice and taking whichevwr roll is best. So if u have like an advantage to a perception check bc like lets sayyy someones also looking with you so theyve given you advantage, you could roll twice and keep whichever roll ends up higher. And then vice versa w disadvantage.

Anyways theres a lotta mechanics i cant rlly fully explain bc i dont fully understand lol BUT smth i can explain to the best of my ability is COMBAT. so with combat, you begin with everything that is going to be fighting rolling initiative. This means player characters who r in the fight, enemies in the fight, and anyone who is going to join the fight later. The initiative rolls the decide the turn order, with the highest initiative going first, then down the turn order to the lowest initiative. Each turn, the character can do a buncha shit which i dont fully know BUT. I do know that everyone gets an action for their turn, so with that they could likee go to attack whatever theyre fighting, or use their movement to get away, or cast a spell to help themselves or their friends out or WHATEVER it can literally be like idk fuckin anything. Ur action could b shootin the bad guy in the face or it could b pullin down the pants of ur enemies. But then, some ppl also get a bonus action or maybe everyone or maybe idk i dont know the logistics but theres a number of Things u can do on ur turn until u decide that ur done doing things or if ur out of actions. Also tho bc its still very roleplayed, anyone can like talk to each other, regardless of turn. So like a character during their turn might shout to their ally, who can talk back instead of being locked in a stasis of Not Their Turn. However the person replying cant act on anything until it is their turn. Which leads 4 some kinds funny dialogue ig. Like 4 example it might be like. "Hey, ally, throw the Object over here !!" "I cant !" "Why not ????" "Its not my turn im stuck in my idle animation for the next 6 seconds !" Or whatevwr the fuck. But then they could throw The Object their next turn. Ummm and yeah. Also w combat p much most attacks have to pass the victims AC which is their armour class. So like, if one person wants to stab someone else, the dm will b like okay roll 2 hit. N if the other persons ac is sayyy a 15 (if they remember 2 put on their leather armour and dont forget to equip it for like 50 episodes) then that roll to hit has to end up above a 15, or itll miss. Or however thwy want to flavour it. Sometimes the miss will be flavoured as hitting armour and just clinking off of it, sometimes itll be the victim dodging, sometimes itll be just a complete fuck up, whatever rlly. And then yeah also in combat, if someones hp is reduced to 0, they do not automatically die unless theyre reduced to under double their max hp i think ? Idk the exact thing but no hit so far in riptide has instakilled i dont think other than one that was like crazy insane but that one was like crazy insane dc104 strength save holy fuck kinda blow. Actually i think its different when it comes 2 enemies bc the pcs have plot armour or smth idk man. But if someones hp is reduced to 0 they dont die, theyre knocked unconscious. And then, they remain unconscious until somebody heals them to above 1 hp, and for each round or smth they arent bsck, they make death saves. Idk if the dcs always the same or if its different for different ppl, it seems to just be a dc10 but idk. But if in total the character fails 3 death saves, they r just straight up dead. But if a character succeeds the death saves, theyre still unconscious, but not dead. If theu roll a nat1, thats automatically 2 failed saves in one. But if they roll a nat20, they recover a singular hitpoint and come back up.

Anyways thats all the mechanics shit out the way i do not understand it that well and a lot of it involves maths that im too scared to find out more abt BUT. in dnd as well there r races and classes. The race is like. Ur species. For example in riptide bc i love my examples, chip and jay r just humans, whereas gillion id a triton, so like. A fish guyyy. But with legs hes not a merman. And he is amphibious. Other races in dnd tho include tieflings and orcs and genasi and dragonborne and goliaths and That One Thing My Friend Was In Our Oneshot I Forgor and tabaxis and halflings and elves and a fuckkk ton of different races dude theres a lot. All of them r fantasy tho other than like. Humans. And also pets if there r any. Sometimes the pets r fantasy too. Like on the crew there was a bluebird called apple and she was just a normal bluebird. Well she had some shit going on but tbat wasnt important bc what was important was that her race was at that time just a normal bluebird. Altho theres also the most specialist girl in the whole wide world called pretzel and shes a frogtopus and she has the head of a frog and rhe body of an octopus but frogtopi dont exist irl but yea.

anyways, classes r different to races in that theyre less to do w genetics n more 2 do w abilities. For example, in riptide once again, chip is a rogue (i think hes taken like 2 levels in sorcery ? But hes primarily a rogue), jay is a hunter/ranger i forgot which one and an artificer, and gillion is a paladin and a sorcerer. These classes affect the abilities these ppl r good at and the things they can do, and if theyre magic, the spells they have and also the beliefs they hold. I thinkkk paladins r known 4 bein v like religious n shit bc a lot of the time the other players have been like Yeah Trust A Paladin To Thank God For Us Saving His Life or smth like that. But other classes include things likeee fighters and bards and warlocks and barbarians andddd i forgot any others becauseeeee yeahhhhhh awesomeeee but yeah!

Andddd yea honestly i think thats all the dnd stuff explained theres a few like other stuff ive probably missed out and ive probably got a buncha this shit wrong BUT this is enough 2 understand riptide atleast. I think. Basically, tldr, dnd is roleplay with more rules and fighting and fantasy and the dm is like god to ur players but like also god of the gods. The end.

it took eddie a while to finally reach out to steve. it was true he hadn't stopped thinking about him since they last saw each other. since steve came over to his place and he thought, in the back of his mind, maybe they would fuck, maybe it would be a one time mistake and they could move on. and maybe eddie wanted that, to feel close to someone he cared for with the knowledge it couldn't end in a broken heart, just good sex and avoid eye contact after. but god, steve was so sad, there was no way that was happening and eddie began to feel guilty for even thinking that, for choosing to view steve as not only a cheater but also someone who he could just use. so with that, knowing he was in a messy relationship, worrying he didn't mean it when he asked him to call, he had convinced himself it was best to keep his distance. but he was lonely himself, his friends were visiting their parents over the holidays and since waynes passing he didn't really have anyone to return to. he knew, too, that steve didn't have a great relationship with his parents, figured he may as well page him, see if he calls back, not a big deal no pressure

but he did call, almost immediately

hey, eds! I was wondering if you'd-

that was quick, nothing better to do? eddie joked, didn't know why it came out so harshly. felt bad when steve took a second before replying.

hah yeah well I'm in the office right now, lots of people have taken holiday leave for christmas so its basically empty. not much to do so I just...yeah

eddie felt bad that he had already managed to make steve uncomfortable, tried to make up for it by inviting him to the bar he worked at, offering free drinks - didn't expect that only a few hours later he and steve would be sat in the same booth steve had been stood up in a month earlier.

they had a lot to talk about, it turned out. caught up on the kids and robin and nancy, talked about hawkins for way too long and then talked about getting out of there

and steve revealed he'd bought a place, in the city. with help from his parents on the deposit and help from brick in moving his stuff over he was basically settled in

steve ignored eddie, took himself to the kitchen, returned with two bottles of beer and sat down beside eddie

I am, yeah, as always. eddie replied.

I'm gonna break up with brick. steve replied, let the silence linger for a moment then reached over to the coffee table to pick up the remote

you wanna watch a movie? he asked.

eddie nodded, didn't know what else to say, just watched the movie and wondered when was the best time to head off. he didn't intend to wake up the next morning on steve's couch, his neck at an awkward angle as he blinked up at the sunlight pooling through the blinds. he could hear the angry whispers of two men coming from the hallway, if only they were in the kitchen he could have snuck out. but no, they were blocking his only exit and so he sat awkwardly on the edge of the sofa, took a sip of day old beer and waited for his chance to escape

Saw a post about how Genshin and Vtubers are doing irreparable damage to character design, which I kiiiiiiinda agree with, lotta the designs are just way too busy for their own goods

But they talk about how the "bases" are all the same (again, they're not WRONG), but that's kinda just.. anime and stuff to begin with??? Like, if the character is supposed to be "appealing" they're gonna be traditionally pretty/handsome, with the standard anime face shape. Like, it's been lobbied against Oda hundreds of times that all his "appealing" ladies have the same body type and face shape because they're supposed to be pretty/sexy. You take Nami and Robin and strip them down to bare bones, and the only difference would be Robin's nose (and I suppose TECHNICALLY their breast size, but you can barely tell the difference between those chapter to chapter)

My Hero Academia does a good job creating WEIRD character designs, but they're never usually important characters. Like, 1-A has 3 characters that break the mold (all boys, mind you) and they really don't have too much to do plot-wise. 1-B has even MORE weird designs, but you barely ever see 1-B (also, again, it's only boys in 1-B that are breaking the mold)

Like, that's kinda just the THING about character design, especially designing anime characters. You tend to choose "safe" characteristics to make sure they're appealing to a wide enough audience. Gotta make sure they fit the waifu/husbando box

Yeah nah I dont think its Genshin/V-Tubers... the reason theyre the way they are is because of anime in general... and frankly anime and really other media as well is the way it is because thats what most people want to see whether they wanna admit it or not. Thin, pale, conventionally attractive characters will sell well. Anything else is far more niche.

People take cracks at Oda for his same-y female designs but frankly I think he does better than a lot of people. Like Sailor Moon for instance... basically all the same.

And as for busy designs... well if every character basically looks the same theyll need accessories to stand out. Just keep piling weird shit on them and hope no one compares your character to another character...

My character will be an average height, thin, pale guy, with a messy, black bowl cut and grey-blue eyes....

At least that one on the end has yellow eyes instead! Hes a totally different character.... As is Shoto... since his hair isnt black.

OK SO first oc’s name is haitani reiko. if u havent already noticed she is in fact a haitani 😭 her nickname is sleeping beauty bcuz for abt like 2-4 years she’d been in a coma n shit but during a battle the haitani brothers were in against another gang she had woken up 🤯 and as the good bros they are they immediately left the battle to see their sister. so its kind of a given that theyre a bit overprotective of their lil sis. but she doesnt like how her whole identity in the gang world is being the younger sister of the haitani brothers so she wants to go out n kinda create her own identity yk? she isnt rlly a fighter but she joins a few minor gangs to get her name around. and i dont rlly think im gonna write her in anything rn cuz her character is rlly weak. but here is an old fanart i did of her :3 (i do have a picrew of her that i’ll show u at the end of this ask <3)

next is i think my fav child, futamo aisume<3333 im not even gonna lie he was kind of a self insert oc but i still love him 😭 hez written as shion’s child hood best friend, having the nickname “the great’s shadow” so hez kind of the side guy that patches up shion when hez injured, but he can still fight. he was in tenjiku w shion but once they were defeated shion kinda just left him behind (also cuz he went to jail lol) so idk prob wakasa took in futamo and brought him into brahman. hez got a similar kind of loyalty as sanzu to mikey and koko n inui and hez rlly blunt. the black cat to shion’s golden retriever imo<333

and last but not least there’s takumi! ngl i kinda just doodled him a bit in an old notebook but i loveddddd him. hez basically just bonten’s bartender, the guy who deals with everyone’s worries n someone they all trust to vent to a lot. sometimes all of bonten go to visit him at once but most of the time they all just go for a quick drink by themselves. takumi’s closest to maybe ran ig? ran’s a bit of a flirt to everyone so hez naturally like that when he meets takumi, and like takumi was kinda just like this is kinda funny, i like this guy. so he kind of matches ran’s energy at a subtle level. i wanna say takumi is an ex gang member from like a different region but when he moved to tokyo and started looking for a job, he had his connections from the past that led him to bonten.

so yeah! a bit messy kinda made some stuff up on the spot but those r my ocs<3333 love them all v much and i miss them so much my ocs era was good. so so good. but here are their designs :3 (in order of reiko, aisume and takumi)

Hey man Yknow what I’m actually kinda curious about what the basic plot of Roseverse is ngl. I mean from what I’ve seen habit is a big ol Grumpus muppet kinda fellow(BASED AS HELL BTW) soo ermmm, lore. Plz? *Looks at you with big ol eyes*

Okay I was gonna reply to this with a whole comic but it's taking a wHILE and I don't wanna keep you waiting THAT long so. Here's an answer in text for now!!

Roseverse didnt start out as an AU. It was a bunch of loose ideas all the way back in late 2021 for an idea I was struck with like when that Greek dude with the bathtub and the gold cried EUREKA! Except, you know, instead of making a huge scientific discovery I just made a bunch of nerd shit instead. Which is SOOO Haiderrrr /lh /affectionate

The idea was " What if Habit and Kamal were childhood friends"? ( Plaintext: What if Habit and Kamal were childhood friends? ) And so I worked off that basic premise. I took Habits diary pages, analysed them, and drew and thought out what he'd be going through and looked like at the time, with Kamal as well to mutually play off of each other. I did this ALL with my very good friend @prrusten 's help, hell we didn't even mean to make something so big, we were just talking and having fun and hitting it off!

But yeah. Here we are...Almost 3 years later! And now it's become a whole AU called Roseverse, after its Flower Kid sona/insert, Rose T. Flower. But it's not actually about him HwjjskHAKSJSJ--and its branched out beyond just Habismal though TBH Gillis is still the MOST underdeveloped character in the whole thing LOL I'll think of ideas for you one day someday muscleman. It's changed a lot too. There was a phase with Mad Scientist Kamal and everything. I don't think I'll ever post everything aha! But I will surely share content while I can.

Infact one of the changes is Habit's design...! You've seen some ofthe newer refs as opposed to Grumpus looking Habit, he looks more like a marionette. I still dearly love the old design...but messy stuff just happened and I feel immensely wrong using it again for newer art now. So I needed a specific revamp to indicate change for me. I don't really wanna get into every detail but I'll make a appropriate post about it one day or like update my pinned when I'm ready and know.

I saw your recent tag on your explicitly bisexual characters in bls set (i remember when you first posted it!!feels so long ago!) and it got me thinking of a few characters. i don’t really understand the term “explicit” I think, but these characters are not straight and talked about it or mentioned it. I didn't watch half of the series but i saw it on my dash enough to basically know enough lmao. ritsu in the end of the world with you (he said the B✨ word). love in the air payu (he said the B✨ word). rain love in the air (buuut…not explicit i think but it's bi4bi), i thought abt dont say no leon but he said he is pan not bi i think. bad buddy pat, when they have the hotpot double date they talk about it. Hmmm roommates of poongduck i guess but is it explicit ?idk he said to his love interest he didn’t care if he was a guy. In the movie with saint and mean, there’s a guy who tells his mom about liking a boy and a girl. … Was Gav from gameboys bi? Speaking of which ! The following characters ARE in bls…so 👀 technically 🤷‍♀️ frdttgh. pearl from gameboys, and i think she said the B✨ word. …okay in big sense of the term i dont really believe in “bad representation” to some extent concerning overall queer characters, who are a mess or doing something not ‘green flaggy’. With that in mind… the 2 guys i mentioned who have SAID they are BISEXUAL, ritsu and payu, and alex from uwma from your gifset who SAID it too, all three of them… have serious issues lmao can’t take no don’t respect boundaries plays around with feelings. i LOVE ‘messy’ queer and more specifically bi- characters but i JUST realised the only THREE male characters from DRAMAS I KNOW ABOUT who loudly identify as bi are like this. again, it’s just an observation. and i dont watch every bl on the planet moreover 😅 but yeah wow

okay so lots of things to answer lol. first of all when I say explicitly bisexual, it's exactly what is shown in the gifset, it's either saying the word which is very rare, or at least proclaiming that you like both, that don't wanna choose, etc. a LOT of bl characters are bi bc they're shown as having love interests with girls before ending up with a guy, but it's never explicitly said. that's why I appreciate when bi characters get to make it explicit in bls. I didn't watch love in the air & have never heard of the end of the world with you so that's why I couldn't use those as examples, the only recent ones I was thinking about were pat from bb and pete from the player, but that's not enough to make a gifset, is it? :'))) also for poongduck 304 I don't remember him explicitly saying that he's bi, and for von the movie, I know! I giffed that part lol! but it's not a bl so I couldn't include it in the gifset... also for the girlies, I do need to make the girl characters version of that gifset, but so far there's not enough characters ;_; and oh no for all the bi characters using the word openly being toxic, I hate that shit...

this is so sweet of u to ask me abt my writing im kicking my feet and giggling rn (〃ω〃) i mentioned a little bit in a reply 2 one of my posts but

putting this under a read more cause anon has effectively opened pandora's box and i have a lot. to say at u 👍🏻

i really only write horror fiction stuff and my brain is forever altered so i usually write in second person just cause that's what feels natural for me :') i like to do pov switching a lot so i will switch from povs within one section- basically a chapter with smaller mini chapters inside if that makes sense

i have a lot of different ideas and projects that i work on but usually when i talk abt my writing i'm talking about my big main project that's i've been working on for 3 years now? but recently i've been working on it more. i've affectionately nicknamed it stray cat club cause of. all the cats. it's still a wip and i have trouble summarizing it cause there's a lot going on and honestly idk which parts are even most important or worth mentioning

it follows three characters most of the time- an anxiety riddled cryptozoology journalist looking for a good story while trying not to fucking die while discovering who they are as a person, a teenage cat girl who isn't actually a cat but sure acts like one who's trying to find her mother after she goes missing while simultaneously try and behave at school so as to not get kicked out despite the horrors, and an ex policewoman turned paranormal detective who's trying to solve a decades old mystery and accidentally uncovers a government conspiracy in the process. they all end up working together eventually and there's a lot of other shitty characters like the sexy demon lady who kinda just kills people in violent and graphic ways cause she's got nothing better to do, the graverobbing morally gray scientist who can't even cook a frozen pizza, a fire mage vampire with anger issues that keeps losing her personal belongings, the teenage daughter of an incredibly affluent family who misses school a lot and there are rumors of her being a witch but it's not like magic is actually real, right and some other assholes of equally questionable caliber

the idea is that all the main characters are working on their own shit and end up meeting each other, realize they can all help each other and in fact are stronger together, and then. then they do that. the setting is also important. it's a city that's kind of infamous for being a paranormal hotspot with lots of haunted locations and cryptid sightings and reports of black magic rituals going on in the woods surrounding the city. and the residents are kind of divided- some people like the reputation and lean into it while others think its stupid and gives their beloved city a bad name, this kind of progresses as the main character plots go along but it does play a big role in stuff that happens later on

idk if there are rlly any specific themes i focus on other than fuck cops and nothing is stronger than the power of friendship. i mostly just like an excuse to write gory scenes and body horror ┐(￣▽￣)┌

i'd mention some of my other stuff but this is already rlly long and i'm sure only like. maybe two ppl care. but yeah this is what i'm working with rn :') like i said it's a wip so the ideas are still kind of vague and messy but as i actually write i get a better vision for what i wanna write hehe

im feeling so much anxiety. i’m not sure if its anxiety or just feeling activated. if i’m just feeling good. i definitely have anxiety over my money stuff that im mostly feeling numb about. can you be anxious without feeling it? i can feel it like a slight buzzing in a far off corner, but its mostly numb. i definitely am being called to do more work in this area of my life, especially around money. i think i’m good at receiving money, but im not good at holding on to it. maybe love is the same. im good at giving and receiving. but the feeling of having is freaking me out. yeah. the having. I read this in EK about the havingness level. i can feel how anxious i am knowing that i have at least $500 in my checking and $1000 in my savings. that makes me anxious. i can feel the tightness in my chest when i think about me and jordan’s relationship basically just staying the way it is. i feel like i’m a mess. i feel like i’m this messy person that doesnt deserve things. thats the havingness level. i feel like i’m not supposed to have. thats the codependency. im not supposed to have so i find people who have what i feel like im not allowed to and i feed off of them and become an energy vampire. i dont wanna do that. not anymore. i saw what that did to other people i was around and either i left them or they left me. im ok with being messy. and i take responsibility for my mess. i dont expect anyone else to come and help me clean things up, but people do, just as i facilitate for others, others are there to help me. I am grateful for the people in my life who still give to me unconditionally even though I have trouble receiving. This is the next level of expansion for me. facing these shadows. the parts of me that still feel shame and guilt around receiving. It is safe to receive. it is safe to have. it is safe to have more money than i need for survival. it is safe for me hold on to money and not give it away so quickly. it is safe for money to be with me. it is safe for me to have a long-term relationship based on mutual values and trust. it is safe for me to allow someone to care for me. it is safe for me to accept love, attention, and presence from another person. it is safe for me to create healthy, long lasting relationships. it is safe for me to make mistakes, learn, and grow in relationships. it is safe for me to be honest with my partner. i feel like the way i treat money is the way i treat a significant other. i want it really bad and i think itll make my life better and make me more happy, and it does, but then for some reason i give or push it away. i look for a reason for the money or the person not to stay with me and i challenge its presence in my life. why do i have to question why something good is happening to me? i dont trust the good. its ok for me to trust the good. it brings me back to the ballet story. when my classes were no longer available to me, i felt that thing i love be taken away. and that kept happening with things in my life that i really wanted. i got the thing, but then i subconsciously pushed it away. because i didnt think i deserved to have. i dont think i deserve to have an abundance of money, or an abundance of love. i love havign abundance and its ok for me to live that life. having wealth does not make me a bad person. having money does not make me a bad person. I can be safe having someone love and care for me unconditionally. i am allowed to have all the great things i want in this life. i am allowed to have a job that brings me wealth, joy, flexibility, and comfort. I am allowed to have a loving, committed relationship. it is safe for me to be in a relationship. it is safe for me to have money. I am safe. i can feel the ways where having money made me feel unsafe. where my mom would make me feel like i couldnt trust myself with money. where my dad always said not to have too much or people would take it away from you. no one is taking anything away from me. NO ONE IS TAKING ANYTHING AWAY FROM ME. not even myself. i’m no longer denying myself the things i want in this world. i am no longer feeding into the cycles that keep me from the life that i want. I choose to embody the habits of the life i know is attainable and possible. I am clearing out the truths that used to live inside me and replacing them with new truths that are leading me and my family toward bigger and better choices. In the Neville Goddard book they were talking about destiny. how destiny always changes. one destiny only exists so it can lead you to another. i feel like right now my destiny is to transcend these patterns of our oppression and bring about the love and compassion that my ancestors dreamed of. I am not my ancestors. i am not the oppressed, and my heart breaks for those who are still being pushed down by the systems that we all stay blind or helpless to. I choose to be different to try to do something different to bring more love and compassion to people who have been oppressed, so that future generation dont know the oppression i know. I thank my ancestors who i see and feel. who i know worked so hard and struggled and fought and grew in their own way so i may know a different kind of work. so i may know a life that is greater than survival. so that i may know a life where our bloodline can thrive. I want my daughters to have the heart to understand their ancestry, and have the vision to know even greater things than i may ever imagine, i know my father is proud. i know hes grateful for the work i’ve been doing. I am healing my blood line. i am building a life greater than my ancestors could have ever dreamed. i am building a life that my children will know as normal.
