And another for the got the short end of the evolution stick for Tamas. This time it’s that giant flying lizard from Jurrasic World Dominion that’s really cool and also happens to share a name with an Aztec Deity and be the largest known Pterasour.

It was still really cool seeing this guy appear during the plane scene. Would be utterly freaking terrifying but a really good choice for an aerial defense system.

[OG WP Chapter]: The Dranowa Region

(Note: This is an OG chapter post from the Wattpad book for archival reasons only, I plan on doing a more comprehensive rewrite in the future)

Hello and welcome to the world of pokemon.

This is my fan made region of Dranowa. It's an island region similar to that of Alola inspired by that of Isla Nublar and the Muertes Archipelago of the Jurrasic Park series.

The region is known to be one of the oldest and most high tech regions there is.

Fossil pokemon can still be found in the wild here along with many pokemon from out of this world.

To add to this, there are pokemon found in other regions that have totally different evolutions than their normal.

One example is the Dranowian Snivy line. Unlike its normal counterpart, this pokemon is more adept at using its legs than slithering on the ground.

This pokemon will evolve into a pokemon known as Serraptor if male and into Servena if female.

This is believed to have been because of an amount of predators that began to prey on Snivys when they first found their way onto the island. Forcing them to learn to defend themselves and their young, in turn, strengthened the use of their legs and arms or learning how to blend in with their environment.

Eventually, they became one of the top predators of the region they now called home.

There are many small islands off of the coast that are usually uninhabited. One of these islands is home to the HQ of one of Dranowa's largest research groups, Team Nova (we will discuss them later).

Sadly, tragedy struck the pokemon league a few years ago as the champion died from some accident. The niece of the previous champion stands in their place.

There are two new types for this region: Light and Cosmic type.

Some existing pokemon (Minior is now a cosmic rock type) and moves (IE: Solar Beam and Flash are now light moves) have been changed to fit these.

Ahhh, I hate it when Horror/Spooky movies have a monster with a backstory that makes absolutely no sense. 

Like, Quiet Place and Bird Box, the monsters aren’t really explained, they could be alien or supernatural, we don’t know, all we know are the rules that you have to follow to avoid detection. 

But I watched The Silence on Netflix, and they’re trying to make out that these are actual creatures, trapped in a cave and forced to adapt to survive there, giving them intensely good hearing, and a tendency to go into a frenzy when they hear a noise. Okay, fair enough. If this was a film about those cavers in the beginning going into the cave and encountering them, I can see that working. 

Instead, these creatures have been released into the world and, despite being trapped in a cave for centuries, have the numbers and ability to swarm across America and completely obliterate cities at a time. Surely their numbers can’t be that large if their environment has been closed? Like, either a lack of food would keep their numbers down, or, if they’re obligate cannibals, that would keep their numbers down. 

Plus, their breeding cycle apparently involves laying eggs inside the torn open stomachs of living creatures and, based on the number of eggs, large ones, we only see them use humans or wolves. Where are they getting these large mammals in the cave? And if they didn’t do that in the caves, why did they decide to start doing that on the surface, other than to make an obligatory horror scene. and, for that matter, why are these creatures always hunting? How can they possible need that much energy that they kill literally everything that they hear make a noise? 

It’s like that scene in Jurassic World where the Pteradactyles are forced out of their nest by the giant Indoraptor and immediately decide to go on a hunt? Why would they do that? How do they even know how to do that when they have presumably been fed by keepers their whole lives? 

Basically, If you’re going to make ‘natural, evil/devastating creatures’ at least make an attempt to justify why they have these behaviours. Otherwise I will spend your whole movie wondering how exactly evolution made these completely nonsensical creatures (and I accepted that nature made marsupials,  Zombie Fungus and the duck-billed platypus, so that’s really saying something)
