While all four LIs grow to have an amazing vibe as a group, I have a real soft spot for Lily and Kamilah's friendship in particular! Kamilah takes Lily under her wing after she is accepted as a vampire, and seems to grow fond of her despite herself.

And I can kinda see why they're so good together as friends! One has been a vampire for millennia - jaded, world-weary, a bit cynical and afraid to soften. The other is a young twenty-something woman who was Turned at the very cusp of her life and who is overwhelmed by the newness of the experience...but also excited by the endless possibilities!

You couldn't find a pair of people less similar to each other - and that's perhaps what makes their interactions so interesting, and even hilarious!
