¿Cuál es tu top 5 de comidas españolas favoritas? - danipedrosas-boatest

Hola Libby 👋👋👋👋.

No sabía que hablas Español y esto me ha pillado muy de sorpresa.

1- Las tapas. Es uno de los platos más típicos y es un conjunto de platos y que pueden variar de un sitio a otro 8incluso de un bar al de al lado). Básicamente las tapas son platos que se sirven anted de la comida o como primero. También se puede cenar de tapeo o hacer una comida completa con amigos así. Es muy versátil.

Las tapas más comunes son la rabas (puede ser un plato solo), calamares a la romana (puede ser un pl,ato solo), croquetas (mis favoritas son las de jamón serrano, que pueden ser también un plato completo), patatas bravas, anchoas en vinagre, aceitunas/olivas, ¡pero muchas más!

2- Crema Catalana. Es un un postre típico Catalan. Son natillas con una fina capa de azúcar caramelizado. Esta buenisino, pero por desgracia solo me gustan los que hacen en los restaurantes de comida típica Catalana.

Para mi la mejor parte es golpear el azúca y escuchar como cruje y se rompe.

3- Torradas/Tostadas. Esto deriva de un plato Catalan típico que es el pa amb tomàquet (pan con tomate) que es pan tostado con tomate restregado (no en rodajas), aceite y sal. las Torradas (en Catalan) es pan de pages tostado con embutido. puede o no llevar tomate. Mis favoritas son las de jamón (tanto dulce como serrano), queso y lomo.

4- Pulpo a la gallega/pulpo a feira (en gallego). Que es pulpo cocido y servido en un plato de madera con a sin patata y con pimentón al gusto.

(Puede ser servido como tapas también).

5- Y como se acerca la semana santa, otro postre típico que también esta buenísimo. Las torrijas. Es pan duro del día anterior mojado en leche, a la qual se le da sabor con canela y la piel del limón, y luego frito. Una vez seco se añade azúcar con canela. Esta buenisimo.

Hay algunas variantes de esta receta donde se hace al horno o se sirve frito pero con leche. En alguna ocasion mi madre las ha echo con la piel de la naranja en vez del limón.

Honorable mencion a los canelones. Que si bien no es receta española, es una adaptación de una receta Italiana a los gustos Catalanes sel siglo XIX/XX, es uno de mis platos favoritos.

I got bored and felt like doodling images from my TGAMM fic 'Her First Forever Friend' across the week.

Chapters two and three of If I Can Think (Of Something Clever) are here!!

Whew! Over 12,000 words later, I think I've officially ground my previous length records into the ground. It got so long that I had to slash it in half to protect y'all from a very potent case of Wall Of Text-Itis, but it's all there - just with a built-in intermission!

It should go without saying, but just to be safe: you'll want to pay close attention to the details in here. It's a lot to take in, I promise, but there's payoff. (At least, there will be with the final chapter.)

Hi, I’m new in this tag kinda and new to meta-writing overall, but not only is the August brain rot really strong but one particular part of his entire character has been on my mind for a whole weekend. Please take this as mostly an offering of very spilled thoughts cause I couldn't keep them to myself anymore, LMAO. Particularly the thing that's on my brain is his guilt

I would also like to make note of and thank @ lizardthelizard And her glorious set of tags here for setting off my spiral tonight and also when she first sent them because my goodness this is truly an eye-opener. Thank you, buddy 💖

Gosh though, August’s guilt and self-criticism of himself and his actions is something that really fascinates me personally, and just thinking of it being the cause of what turns him back to wood is both mind-blowing but it just makes so much sense. He may be real because of magic but who’s to say it’s just the magical conditions that are holding him back and not the high as heck expectations that he feels were set for him and he set up for himself.

When it feels like you can't mess up sometimes it can feel like you're stuck in place Or that your screw ups means you can't change, that you're not good, that maybe you don't deserve to be considered good and that your various flaws are all that others would see you FOR!!

Maybe it's different to anxiety but idk it’s what caught my attention about him even more than what his character already offered up in s1!

He was given this like

Idea that he needs to be "Brave" and "Truthful" and "Selfless" all the time or else he cannot be human

Does it work like that? no, there's no human on EARTH that's all three of those things all the time, we've all had moments of weakness and gave in

But what does he know? Most of his life he spent on his own and as a puppet, he was expected to understand the ways of being a human and GOODNESS knows how short a time he was with his dad before he was THRUST into a world and forced once again to stand on his own two feet and expected to just, you know, know how to act once again

He's followed by expectations that he finds himself struggling to meet because he doesn't know what the limit is or how to meet them, and sometimes if not all of the times the temptations are just better and easier

And it's expected!!!

He stepped into TLWM as a child with no idea of what he’s getting into with no prior knowledge, no adult, no nothing.

But omg, he drags himself down so much about it because he can’t meet those expectations the way he would want to and because of that because literally who did he have to tell him that it's all okay? That you can make mistakes and move on from them? That you can make up for your mistakes and forgive yourself for them?

Did he have anyone at all? Cause The show sure didn't show him having anyone

We see one woman in Thailand but even after he discovers he's turning into wood she's no longer around, so like she's probably about as fleeting of a relationship as anything else

Imagine going 28 years at first ignoring all your problems and then the horror and thoughts that you’re not good enough catch up to you one morning and the more you see yourself a failure, the more you sink into that spiral the harder it feels to breathe.

So whats Libby and Andreas role I'm the beast of Brighton AU?

Libby is basically the same as in canon being Molly's best human friend but she has dreams of being in the royal guard overseas when she grows up. She made her own placeholder chestplate and gauntlets out of leather to get used to the feeling of wearing armor frequently

Her and Scratch have a "Friend-off adjacent" type relationship at first but they eventually come to a mutual understanding (maybe I should work out the details for that and put it into writing)

As for Andrea, I haven't really put that much thought into her? I will eventually but this au is still fairly new and unfinished, I just picked it back up like a week ago and the original concept was pretty bare bones how I left it. If you have any suggestions let me know! I know a few friends and acquaintances have given me some cool ideas
