Im giving you all some time to think about which books you wanna read & buy them if you havent, prepare some cozy snacks, get out your pillows and blankets for some extra comfort, and everything else you need for a week long readathon with me!! We start on september 1st!

for step 2 of the @namocchi readathon i chose the cat familiar and read a graphic novel!

my mom very sweetly lent me Genderqueer by maia kobabe which read all of today!

i think it’s a good book for anybody questioning their gender and parents and friends of trans people :)

Step 3 of the readathon is going to be the Fairytear potion- a book set in the past! The Gilded Wolves is set in 1889 and it involves a heist so I'm very excited. @namocchi

I have been on an mdzs kick and, as I've said before, trying new mdzs fic is hard when there's a little voice saying "but you COULD be reading dream a little dream rn"

so I'm about to start re-reading Dream a little dream of me by moominmammashandbag.

for the fourth and final step of @namocchi’s witchy readathon i am forging an elf trident and reading a book with a one word title (i think it might also count as a fantasy and is set in autumn? so im also casting a thunder sword and building an illusion bow)

i’m gonna finish Wildwood by colin meloy

i’ve tried picking up this book twice since like 2018 and have yet to finish it, but i am determined to do it for this readathon!

Step 2 of the @namocchi Readathon will be the curious and nimble cat! Lucha of the Night Forest was very sad and dark so we're taking a hard turn into a light romantic comedy with Undercover Empress. It's very good so far, I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before!

Im joining the Coven of the Phoenix - im reading coraline! i even have my own cuddly black cat :’)

and im using my crystal bookmark that i LOVE !!

so for step 1 of @namocchi’s witchy readathon i chose to join cedar wood coven and im reading Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson :)

i’m 40% into it right now and i am loving it! it’s very cozy and has austen vibes.

little synopsis: this energetic & dreamy girl marianne is tasked by her grandma to become an elegant young lady in order to receive her vast inheritance. at the same time, marianne’s sister cecily invites her to stay at edenbrooke, the country estate of their late mothers best friend, and cecily has a big crush on the guy who is going to inherit the estate. on the way to edenbrooke marianne’s carriage is attacked by a highwayman.

for step 3 of @namocchi’s resdathon i went for stardust elixir and picked out an audiobook!

i decided to get spooky and read The Halloween Tree by ray bradbury & read by bronson pinchot

its a very quick read and it’s spooky but not scary which is perfect for my first halloween book of the year 🎃

DAY 4!! of build a witch readathon!

what books have you been reading? which ones did you finish?

I finished Coraline yesterday for step 1 and Joe the Barbarian for step 2!

Im listening to Daisy jones and the six (audiobook) for step 3 today & if i have time Victoria stitch for step 4 :)

i think im doing alright!

If you are a writer, artist, crafty person or a creative mind, you can take the steps you completed to build your own witch and make some art of them! or write their backstory, a fic or blurb, crochet an amigurumi, whatever you feel called to do if you want to! :D My witch joined the Coven of the phoenix (elemental magic), has a cat familiar, her favorite potion is a stardust elixir, and owns a thunder sword! I will be making art of them soon!
