Barbados Records First Homicide for the Year

Barbados has recorded its first homicide for the year.

31-year-old Shane Parris of Mangrove, St. Philip, is the country’s latest shooting victim.

Barbados Police Service Communications and Public Affairs Officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss confirmed that Parris died at the scene of the shooting at Nursery #2, Four Roads, St. Philip.

He said police received a call about the incident around 11:05 a.m.

How many women are assaulted while TRAs insist this never happens?

A woman was allegedly raped by a sex offender at a women’s shelter in Ontario, Canada after the predator identified as transgender in order to gain access to the facility.

Shane Jacob Green, 25, was arrested on August 24 by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). At the time, the OPP issued a notice stating Green had been charged with two counts of sexual assault, four counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and one count of failing to comply with a release order.

But new details have emerged through the Toronto Sunrevealing that Green’s crimes occurred while he was staying in a women’s emergency shelter in Parry Sound.

Green is well known to police and has multiple prior offenses — including a conviction for having sexually assaulted a woman in 2018. Green was handed 114 days in prison for the crime, and was made to provide DNA in order to catalogue him in the national offenders registry. 

According to the Sun, Green, who is homeless, had approached the Parry Sound shelter on August 22 and declared he was a woman in order to get a place to stay. While in the home, Green had allegedly been making sexually inappropriate comments to staff and residents, his behavior culminating in a sexual assault that occurred just two days later. He was arrested on August 24, the day of the assault, and is currently at Parry Sound Jail awaiting trial.

At the time of his arrest, Green was on probation. But this was not the first time he’d committed a crime while under release conditions.

In 2019, after being released from jail for the 2018 assault, Green was arrested in Welland, Ontario, for stalking and harassing two young girls who had been in a Tim Horton’s coffee shop.

The teens had noticed Green leering at them through the window of the restaurant and became uncomfortable. They left the Tim Horton’s out of fear and went to a nearby mall, but Green pursued them. When the girls noticed Green had continued to follow them, they fled into a store for safety. 

After a period of time and the apparent disappearance of Green, the girls went back to the Tim Horton’s, only to have Green return and sit directly behind them. Green had a loaded BB gun on him at the time, a weapon that was visible to the girls as it was tucked in his waistband. Police were called and Green was taken into custody.

Prior to the August 22 attack, Green had allegedly attempted to access other shelters in the area, going so far as to claim he had a child to do so. He had reportedly been flagged by the shelter system in Strathroy due to his manipulative nature. 

According to the Sun, Green was known for leveraging his knowledge of gender self-identification policies both with police and women’s resource centers. Green sometimes uses the name “Stephanie” when claiming to be transgender. Staff at the women’s shelter where the rape allegedly occurred may have been too afraid to turn Green away due to the risk of running afoul of Canada’s notoriously pro-trans human rights law.

In June, Reduxx reported that a Canadian woman had been evicted from a transitional house in British Columbia after raising concerns about gender self-identification policy. 

The woman, who spoke exclusively to Reduxx under the condition of anonymity, described multiple disturbing incidents that had occurred within the residence while she stayed there, including having been exposed to a trans-identified male posing naked outside of her bedroom.

After raising concerns with shelter staff, the woman, who had been there in order to escape domestic violence, was told she was “transphobic” and had to find a new place to stay.

Ospreys players celebrate their stunning win in France

The Ospreys pulled off a stunning 21-10 victory over French champions Montpellier last night to revive their European Champions Cup campaign. It was the Welsh region’s first win in the competition for two years and according to the BT Sport commentator this was a result which ‘will send shockwaves throughout Europe.’

Ospreys pull off sensational win for the ages : After a draw and 11 straight defeats in he competition, the Ospreys finally ended their losing run with a performance full of commitment and character to notch a colossal victory on the road – their first in France since they beat Bourgoin in 2008.

Co-commentator Shane Williams, himself an Ospreys legend, gave back-rower Morgan Morris the man of the match award after he scored the clinching try near the end. Sam Parry and Kieran Williams also touched down as the Ospreys produced their best performance of the season and probably one of the region’s finest in Europe.

Montpellier were red-hot favourites to win the tie in their own backyard, but were stunned by the resolve of an Ospreys side who bounced back superbly from their opening day loss at home to Leicester.

They were marshalled throughout by the superb Rhys Webb, who continued his rich vein of form this season and put down a massive Wales marker to Warren Gatland. Webb was ostracised by Wayne Pivac, but he is pushing hard for a Six Nations return under the new Welsh coach.

The result capped off a superb day for the Welsh regions, with Scarlets and the Ospreys also recoring resounding triumphs away from home.

Peel sets sights on Ospreys derby clash after Euro cracker

Scarlets boss Dwayne Peel set his sights on the Boxing Day Welsh derby showdown with the Ospreys after watching his side record a thumping 46-26 triumph over the Cheetahs in Italy.

Young Wales playmaker Sam Costelow was star of the show in the bonus point victory and is another who has just sent a Six Nations message to Warren Gatland.

The 21-year-old was sensational in Parma with his game-management and kicked six penalties and a conversion as the Scarlets followed an opening Challenge Cup win over Bayonne with another thumping triumph.

The second victory puts them in very strong position to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Peel said afterwards: “I thought we had played some excellent stuff. We have a massive game against the Ospreys on Boxing Day and this has given us some confidence as we prepare for that one.

Last-gasp woe for Dragons

The Dragons were unable to make it a clean sweep of wins for Welsh sides as they fell 21-27 at home to Pau.

The Gwent side thought they had won right at the end when Max Clark powered over the try line. Originally, the referee awarded the score, but it was ruled out by the TMO with replays confirming the former Bath centre had been held up.

The result was a big setback for the Dragons who are facing an uphill battle to reach the knockout stages of the competition. In the end their inaccuracy and poor discipline cost them against a gritty French side who were far from full-strength.

Borthwick leaves Leicester for England

Steve Borthwick told Leicester’s players he is leaving the club to take over from Eddie Jones as England boss, report the Telegraph.

The paper say Borthwick gave the news after the Tigers’ 23-26 Champions Cup win over Clermont at Welford Road.

But nowadays there is a  third  metropolis influencing the other two. Silicon Valley, this third metropolis, is not ruled generally by cause (it is practically the mark of a fantastic entrepreneur to  not  be “reasonable”), nor by the points of the soul (the dominant belief appears to be to be a form of  materialism ). It is a position, somewhat, ruled by the development of  worth . And a substantial element of price is utility—whether one thing is useful, or is at the very least perceived as good or helpful.

Our two-decades-prolonged experiment with social media has already shown the extent to which motive, or Athens, is getting flooded with so significantly material that many have referred to it as a  post-truth  surroundings. Some social psychologists, like Jonathan Haidt, feel it is  making us ridiculous  and undermining our democracy. Humanity is at a crossroads. We are seeking to reconcile different needs—for rationality, for worship, for productivity—and the stress of this pursuit shows up in the factors we produce. For the reason that the 3 cities are interacting, we are now residing with technology-mediated faith (on the net church providers) and technologies-mediated purpose (280-character Twitter debates) religiously adopted technological know-how (bitcoin) and religiously noticed rationale (Covid-19 cathedrals of protection) rational faith (productive altruism) and “rational” engineering (3D-printed  assisted-suicide pods ).

 If Tertullian have been alive now, I imagine he would check with: “What does Athens have to do with Jerusalem—and what do either have to do with Silicon Valley?” In other words, how do the domains of motive and religion relate to the domain of technological innovation and its financiers in Silicon Valley? If the Enlightenment champion Steven Pinker (a resident of Athens) walked into a bar with a Trappist monk (Jerusalem) and Elon Musk (Silicon Valley) with the target of solving a difficulty, would they at any time be equipped to arrive at a consensus?
